Northern Horse Park in Tomakomai

Beautiful scenery. So relaxing and ideal for family hangouts. Loved the horse ride and carriage!

It’s the first time I came here and I’m happy that the pony seems really loves the trainer.It’s closed from 4/10~4/14, hope I can come again in summer!I hope these horses are happy :)

Mr. Yoshida and his family have passion and enthusiasm in Japan horse farm industry. By reading the history of Mr. Yoshida, the founder of Shadai Farm, we can see how much time and endeavor he spent to build and develop the business in a healthy manner. There are more than 50 horses in the park. And they all receive appropriate care and nursing. It is our pleasure to know Mr. Yoshida. We will definitely visit again to meet all happy ponies.

Northern Park has a Beautiful setting and great restaurants

Not bad but not the most thrilling/interesting theme park I’ve ever been. Its good point might be because it’s wide and beautiful to look at (for those who like nature/vast well groomed green pasture or lawn...but feels empty. Kinda felt bored. They could add more to the park for children I’d say.Though we enjoyed riding the quadricycle. I recommend it for family with little children, and be prepared to loose your breath, quite tiring but fun. At the main entrance, they are selling delicious assortments of pastries, highly recommended. If you want to snack, you have to go the annex house and that’s where they are renting the vehicles to go around the park (a must, because as I said before the place is huge). The horses and ponies are friendly (or waiting for snack😆you can touch them.

This place is huge, plenty of different horses to see. There is even a pony show. Other than that, there is nothing much except for horse walking and carriage.

You can see a lot of dignified horses. There were facilities for children and playground equipment, experience facilities, and barbecue was also possible. It was really fun to actually touch the horse. There are places to eat, so you can spend a day.

I bought suit ticket oversea and now 20190731 waiting at airport for over 30min (11:35 to 12:09)without seeing the bus showing on the website. I give up. Terrible experience.

The new theme park in Hokkaido. The CHILDREN allow to ride the snow motorcycle, the elderly gets the fun to walk around here by the horse sleigh. Or enjoy the horse show inside the hall, the chocolate is yummy and hot.

Nice park, good for a leisure walk

Very well made and kept, neat and has something for every age. The botanical gardens were very beautiful, clearly marked and easy paths. The restaurant was yumm as well.

Nice place for visit if u love the horse

The staff here arent the friendliest. They arent friendly with the horses either.On the horse carriage, my heart churned as I saw the driver whip the tired horses. The poor horse was limping as he dragged us around the track slowly while others raced past us.But the view was nice and the building was really cute. They had nice music playing (like all Japanese placesand even had some anime music too. Too bad the stage was empty.All in all, we didnt have a lot of time but I would come back to check our the rest of the park - except the horse carriage.

A wonderful farm with pleasant staff.the happy pony show is amazing and the family will love it..the museum is very well presented and once leaving it you will have a great insight into the the history of Northern farm and their world class race horse and stud farm.

Best place for horse lovers

Interesting place. Everything is about horses.

I took a summer vacation trip to Hokkaido with my family. During the trip, I visited the Northern Horse Park and it was really great experience! We had lunch in a restaurant there and rode bicyles on the farm. I enjoyed very peaceful and happy moments. It was like a perfect summer day in the coutryside. Id really love to visit there again.
