State museum exhibiting contemporary art on the campus of the University of North Dakota.
Great space, very pleasant plane.. its a must see
The exhibits were wonderful. The volunteer was very helpful. It is a small museum, but well layed out.
The North Dakota Museum of Art is a first class art structure. The symphonies held in the building are first class and you will be listening to some of the best musicians in the world. The music is my massage.
Very cool destination if you happen to find yourself in Grand Forks. The staff if very kind and passionate about the art. They will talk to you about the art pieces and the history of how the museum got started.
Always great shows, lunch in the cafe is great. Cafe is only open during the week days.
Quite interesting, lots of variety, worth your time, FREE
Their selection is very interesting during this time. Peaceful and entertaining
We wanted to stop at this "free" museum but were met with endless lots of permit only and pay-by-app parking. So we skipped the museum entirely. Who knew parking was at such a premium in North Dakota?
A great show ceramic art by Brad Bachmeier.
Very nice place to visit!
Great museum on UND campus
Had lunch here..displays were being changed..GREAT place
Weather looking for a quiet getaway or a bite to eat in the cafe I strongly suggest visiting. I love this place and the people involved
Quaint little museum, but they change the first level exhibits often. Nice.
Very nice museum
Very cool place with an amazing cafe in the lower level!
Is it Art or Not? Whats your opinion?I like coming here for some quiet time and reflection.
Did not spend a lot of time there, but the featured artist seemed wonderful and the staff offered good knowledge about him.
Limited selection, hard to find
Friendly staff, interesting art.
Concerts in Garden is a great experience
Very nice place!
Such a fun place! There is the most fasenating art and it was a great experience! I definitely recommend going there.
Very small collection of mostly modern art.
I enjoyed seeing the paper plate tree that the area kids decorated, and all of the paintings when I was there with my sons 2nd grade class..
A gem, not just in GF but the entire state. International and national art work rotates in the galleries. The cafe has fantastic dishes you wont find elsewhere in town. Reasonably priced, too. Metered parking, though, so bring quarters.
Yeah its a museum. Dont stand around too long or youll become a part of it.I recommend drinking a few energy drinks shooting up an ounce of meth and Put 20C cs of in general and straight into your juggler vein. But actually its really nice in there so check it out youll love it.
Delicious and eclectic. Unique flavors. Great small meeting place.
Best Lunch in Grand Forks - love the atmosphere & gift shop as well!
Compared to the Minnesota Museum of Art its small and needs more art.
Very peaceful place
This museum had an exhibit of Lynn Geesaman photographs. They are mainly of landscapes from all over the world. It was difficult to find the building but was worth the search. There was not an admission charge.
Cafe in the basement is a nice addition to a great art experience. Hosts some events that are definitely worth attending. Building kept up and the staff is friendly.
Great exhibits, solid summer concert series on the lawn. Spectacular cafe.
Very nice museum, interesting building, extensive peony garden. Informative docent. Peak in the contemporary neon lit bathrooms. Thank you. Visited 6/30/18
Always new stuff to look at, great people, great atmosphere. Very helpful and they do lots of stuff for the community.
Its free, so thats cool. Really great exhibits and nice to see local artists work
Pro tip: check out the bathroom
Always fun to visit
Great collection, friendly staff
My new favorite lunch spot. The food is fresh and delicious!
Enjoyed this very much! Plan on visiting again. If you enjoy art, check it out!
Loved the freedom to explore!
Lovely little art museum, a nice way to spend an hour
Lovely North Dakota art museum with local artists: very interesting exhibit on weeds.
Beautiful exhibits, nice welcoming desk staff.
Rotating exhibits. Wonderful intimate restaurant.
Small, but well ran museum with rotating exhibits. They also have plenty of activities throughout the year, including concerts. If you visit during the weekend, be sure to eat at the cafe located downstairs.
We tried to visit the NDMA today, September 26, but it was closed because the roof repairs appear to be still under way. Not a problem there. But the website states the closing was only through September 21. The sign on the door when we got there also said closed through September 21. When it became clear to management that the construction would not be completed by the expected date of September 21, I wish someone would have changed the information on the website. We enjoyed a nice walking self tour of the campus instead. We look forward to trying to visit the museum again after the roof work has been completed.
I love this place! The staff is great and helpful and super friendly. The cafe downstairs has awesome coffee and serves a really good lunch at a reasonable price. The building is beautiful as well as garden. They serve beer & wine at these amazing concerts they host during the summer. One of my favorite spots in GF.
