An interpretive boardwalk winds through wetlands, plus separate play & picnic areas with grills.
This place is amazing we loved it and got some amazing pictures!
We enjoyed it a lot! The length of the trail is nice and long, plus the views are really pretty.
Great fun, but needs trash cans at each picnic area and better portapotty maintenance
This is a beautiful, clean and safe park that I visit often with the children that I nanny. The play area is in great, safe and clean condition. There’s activities provided for fine and gross motor skills. The board walk through the marsh is also very educational and enjoyable for both adults and children alike.
Perfect trail for a sunny and refreshing walk for about 2 miles back and forth. Variety of plants and trees and lots of little creatures make the experience even more fun. The pond area is full of plants though and not exactly what I had expected. Lots of seating all around if you need to take breaks; I greatly enjoyed the wetland aspect of this park!
Lovely place for kids to play and a short and scenery hike for the whole family.
Very pleasant spot. Comfortable walk around a pretty lake. Probably took us 1 1/2 hours, but we went slowly and stopped often to look at the views. Took about an hour and 20 minutes to get there from north Seattle in the middle of the day. To Worth a visit. Walk was pretty much on the level, which I appreciated!
Floating walkways and serene wetlands. Very chill. Playground and picnic tables too.
Vast area.Floating onboard viewing is an attraction but not during summer as dry land and less greenary wont give any attraction or birds& creatures to watch
Great park, very clean, really nice walking path! Covered area was big enough for a sizeable party. (Confirmed, because one showed up as I left.Im way too old for the playset, but the family using them seemed to be enjoying them!
We’ll maintained and scenic walk. We saw a bunch of rabbits grazing all over and lots of flowers in bloom!
Very nice floating bridges ..good to see wetlands which has been here from thousands of years to protect the wildlife👍good job preserving and protecting nature
Board walk On a clear sunny day - you can hear birds chirping and the wooden board below squeaking . This park is a treasure with lots of parking spaces .
Peaceful and quiet. The walking path is entertaining for kids and adults alike. Great place to visit for out of towners like us.
The park has two entries: one from 183rd St., and the other one is from 9th Ave. The trail is about 30 mins walk both ways and often time you see parents with children on it. I take our dog out and have to be careful around the kids as the trail is too narrow and easy to fall into the water.
Great fun walking along the floating board walk. Washrooms and play area with lots of parking.
Love walking here. Lately people have started to make one of the areas a porta potty which sucks because we love coming here to find a clean tranquil place to enjoy and now its being littered.
Beautiful, but BEWARE FOR YOUNG KIDS - INJURY WARNINGDO NOT let them near the GAPS IN THE BOARDWALKThe floating boardwalks have gaps that obviously close and open as people walk over it. My four year old stuck his thumb in the gap and crushed the tip of it off, losing a bit of bone too.If you dont want a trip to Seattle Childrens Hospital, impress upon your children to stay away from the gaps.
The park is quiet yet full of different species that takes you away from city noise. Was happy to see the place in a great condition in the middle of February
Great hidden gem. The board walk is fun to walk and you can get beautiful views all along it. If youre lucky youll see some wildlife!
Love walking on the floating board with great view and abundant creatures around
We absolutely adore this playground and walking trail. Perfect for a evening walk with your family, great sunset views as well as spotting wildlife. So many weasels, frogs, voles and coyotes in the wetlands. Over 10,000 crows fly over each evening which is an experience within its self. Enjoy!
A cute and quaint park! I love how much area the boardwalk covers, and how expansive your 360-degree view is. Needless to say, it is great place for birdwatching. Lots of local species to marvel over, and you will always see something new and exciting with each and every visit!
An amazing Park with a floating walkway through a swampy area filled with wildlife and educational plaques and experiences. Also there is a playground at the parking lot. This area also serves as an enormous anti-flooding reservoir keeping billions of dollars of real estate safe and dry.
Paradise in disguise. Very scenic pathway for a jog/walk. Decent playground for kids. Wish the pathways doesn’t make creaking sounds when running on them. County might need to do some maintenance.
I have walked this trail a few times at different times of the year. Its kid friendly, it may be long for children 4 and under but is doable if someone can carry them. Its not meant for bikes but I have walked my bike on the trail. The path is fairly narrow so can be difficult passing others if you have a bike or dog. I would give this a 5 star but much of the path is need of repair or updates. Best to try this trail in the dry season as there is not to many obstacles but the raining season it tends to flood over in some areas along the trail which can be challenging to get around. The trail ends at a great park. I would not recommend wheelchairs or walkers.
Hidden gem in N. Bothell; no signs; hard to find first time; feels like youre miles away from the city but Burgermaster & Ezells Chicken are 3 min away! Brought my kids to the awesome playground at the park entrance 15 yrs ago when there were no apartment complexes and housing developments on 183rd St. SE, only the Bailey Farm. However, never realized there was a nature boardwalk. Dont know how I missed it. 15 yrs later during the pandemic, I was looking for an easy walk/hike and rediscovered North Creek Park boardwalk. Free parking; awesome playground for kids; nature walk on 4~5ft wide wooden boardwalk floating on open wetlands; wide open; peaceful; beautiful birdsong drowns out the distant traffic noise of Bothell-Everett highway. Dogs on leash welcome; bicycles need to be walked (please dont ride, not enough space to comfortably & safely pass walkers); wheelchair accessible but may be bumpy; some loose planks and sections that feel like youre sinking but not really; dog owners PLEASE clean up after your pet; parents with strollers are better off not on the boardwalk; wetland water is shallow but a small child could drown if he/she fell into water; strollers rolling on boardwalk make a lot of noise for people who came to enjoy birds singing and nature sounds; wetlands previously owned by Ruth Baileys family from 1891-1992; thankfully Snohomish County bought and preserved a natural habitat for wildlife and plant reserve instead of developers flooding the land with condominiums & cheap apartment complexes; good place to breathe fresh air and reflect; highly recommend 👍
Not a lot of wildlife but some birds. Usually not busy on wooden walk way.
The trail was cool but way to many people without masks and the trail isnt wide enough to practice social distancing when passing each other 🤢
Cool park with a great walking trail - boardwalk over swampland. It seemed sometimes like the floating walkway might sink, but it didnt. Not a lot of parking.
Love this park! Make sure to walk the boardwalk trail, across the marsh/wetlands! Lots of wildlife to see! The boardwalk is stroller & wheelchair friendly! However, make sure to keep little kiddos (5 & underclose to adults, as the boardwalk IS directly over wetlands/marsh/ponds, and there are no railings, to prevent a small child from going off the side, if fall/trip/horsing around. (Water is NOT deep...only about 2 feet....but lots of tall grass etc which could make them difficult to see, if an adult didnt see where they fell in.)Covered picnic area, large FUN playground/climbing equipment/swings/slides etc.. large field for a game of touch football, soccer, Frisbee etc... clean NICE plumbed bathrooms. All around great park for spending the day at, and lots to do for all ages & abilities!
An absolute hidden treasure! We took our two toddlers here for a picnic and play on the big toy before going for the scenic walk and man did we all have A BLAST! There were many many picnic tables options: covered, uncovered and even ones tucked away in more scenic areas. The play toy had really fun and unique features for a range of ages and the walk had informational stops along the path making it both recreational and educational. We searched for creatures a d critters and found quite a few! the kids were excited to come back to find more. I would be concerned about my 2 yr old walking the path if I didnt have extra people with me as there are no rails or sides and its a single slip or step off the path into the water. Beyond that, it was gorgeous and a wonderful experience all around. Well be back regularly!
Went with our small Eastside volunteer group "Pik-e" to pick litter around the park. Beautiful park, found a curiously large hive in the big cedar. Had a great sunny day, park was quiet and peaceful!
A different experience for a short evening walk. Kid friendly. Not so great if you want social distancing. Well maintained. Accurate description. Teach kids about the importance of Marsh land.
Great place to take a walk on the boardwalk through the wetland. Nice playground for the kids
An easy flat trail over wetlands- great for beginners or kids!Strollers would likely do okay as well
I loved walking throughout this marsh. The wooden paths are sturdy and the tail itself is well kept; no litter in sight, just a beautiful ecosystem. There are a few benches along the trails to sit and unobtrusive posts displaying information about the ecosystem and its importance.
Such a pretty park. Gives you the feel of being far away though you are not. Took the boardwalk to the pond after the playground. However there is alot of growth so you do not really see it
A nice easy walk on a boardwalk through marsh land with diversions that may or may not lead to a bench. Theres signage with descriptions of the wildlife and foliage. Maybe bring your binoculars for some bird watching. On our visit we saw a Blue Heron. The area is open with little shade, so plan accordingly. The parking lot is adequate and theres a decent size playground at the entrance for the kiddos. There is also a picnic table area with porta pottys near by. We spent about an hour here, with my girlfriend exclaiming, "its pretty, I enjoyed it.". Hopefully you will too!
This was so beautiful. A great walk! Mostly flat. Will bring my kids next time!
The boardwalk is amazing. Excellent place to take a long, meandering stroll. Great kids playground on the premises, scattered picnic tables as well. Very enjoyable time.
Nice play structures and grassy area for playing.Loved walking the trails and boardwalks through the wetlands.Unfortunately the only restrooms are portables.
The kids loved it! Theyd never been to wetland or walked on floating boardwalks before, and they were fascinated! So nice to come at a time when there are so few people there. They should build an accessible restroom, though. Porta-potties dont cut it. Otherwise a lovely park, and a great place to access the North Creek trail.
Perfect place for kids and dogs. The boardwalk is about .75 miles one way and the park has a great playground. Bathrooms are iffy.
Great wetland space, very secluded out on the boardwalk. Lots of birds and creatures to watch for.
Nice place for a relaxing walk. You can hear the birds sing as the sun sets down.
This is a very nice park. There is a playground for kids and plenty of parking. There is a very well maintained wooden path through a wetland marsh. Its perfect for seniors that want a peaceful, easy walk. If you walk all the way to the end, and take both side paths, youll get a hike thats just under 2 1/2 miles (round trip). Youll see wildlife, too, particularly geese and ducks. The road noise is far enough away that you could almost mistake it for wind blowing through a forest, which helps to maintain the illusion that youre far from civilization.
Nice little park. There isnt a restroom facility but they do have a couple of portable toilets. The walking trail is a wooden trail through the bog. Sturdy in most places but there are a couple of spots that feel a little wobbly. Nice little oasis in the middle of a busy place.
Great Park! easy walking trails on a boardwalk through the wetlands. Could have nicer restrooms and possibly running water.
This park has beautiful scenery and fun docks to walk on. Enjoyed taking pictures here. There is a playground geared to 2 different age groups as well as picnic areas. Would be a good place to walk a dog on leash or just stroll and enjoy the scenery.
