Lush 50-acre botanic park surrounded by estuary, with native plants, forest & a Japanese garden.
Great place for a very pleasant walk. Beautiful trees and gardens . Plenty of seats and good rest rooms. Also picnic area. Free as well. Well worth a visit.
A really relaxing a varied walk round with lots to keep your interest. Great birding spot.
Was surprised at size of gardens, really good.
Excellent gardens beautifully set out. We particularly enjoyed the Indian, Chinese, African and Japanese gardens featuring native plants from these countries. Well worth a visit.
Lovely place. Quite and peaceful.
A great display of Orchids by the Orchid Society on the weekend.
Always a lovely experience walking around the gardens.
Really enjoyed the well maintained gardens, full of colour and sound.
Large area with big range of flora.Mazes of winding trails thru various environments. Newish glasshouse with cool and warm tropical plants.Nice grounds with picnic tables. Hostsevents. Shop.Walk slowly and youll see more of the many birds that frequent the gardens.
Not the gardens but a course run there was disappointing. The gardens are managed so well and are beautiful
My absolute favourite place for gardens and birding. So peaceful and clean. Also the cemetery behind is worth a visit. Top marks to you botanical gardens
Surprising size and filled with interesting themed gazebos, pathways, water features, picnic areas, a sensory garden as well as free parking and a coffee/gift shop. There was also a band playing the day I visited. Must see if visiting the region.
Needs a café there. Loved the tuch garden. Grave yard next door lol byo coffee. Ice creams good. Love the stuffed toys there. Good for kids with bug catchers lol
Everything about it, is beautiful and relaxing. Lovely staff and great prices in giftshop/nursery. Also has some beautiful local art, craft and plant expos
A hidden gem. Definitely worth a visit. It is very large botanical garden divided into world regions. There is a great sensory garden and the new green house is good to go. Buy some plants at the shop on the way out. The facilities and paths are good with drinking stations to fill your bottle.
Very good walking tracks and floral
Would have been a 5 star review if only a sunny day.
Nice walk.Paths however slippery after the rain. Some paths closed as well.Japanese bridge needs repair however makes for nice photos.
So much potential for an amazing outdoor community space, but I would say a lack of council funding is holding it back. The volunteers clearly do an amazing job with what they have, however, much of the path could use with redoing or replacement, and there is alot of undergrowth that needs to be cleared/tidied.The distinct lack of a cafe/eatery is baffling! What a great way to draw in patrons/traffic with a small eco cafe.
One of the best botanical gardens in Australia. Large and a vast array of plants from around the globe. Really is a beautiful please. They should allow bikes!
Just so beautiful here. A must visit if you are anywhere near Coffs Harbour.
A big, interesting garden with many different plants and some very nice areas. The Japanese section at the end has what would be an excellent venue for functions if only it were properly maintained.
Because its spring everything is blooming, very beautiful and safe for toddlers to explore, I have a 2 and 1 year old who just love the freedom. The people who work there are lovely
Coffs is spoilt when it comes to this botanical garden. There is so much to see and a range of gardens from around the world. Every time I go I find something new.
Well planned and look after Botanical garden. I never see some plants before. I really admire this garden.
Beautiful place that I highly recommend visiting if you have afew spare hours.Wide variety of plants and regions to explore.
This is such a best place fo visit in Coffs Habour for a nice walk. Im absolutely love the atmostphere here and around. Definately will come back again very soon.On the other hand, according to the Covid situation, there was perhaps the lack of staffs who take care for the garden so those pools near the Japanese garden area were dirty but I believe they will clean soon when the pandemic is over and we are all can come back like before.Absolutely possitive !
Everything from Australian bush to mangroves to a rose garden. You cant stay for hours and we did.
Very peaceful and beautiful afternoon spent in the gardens
This botanic gardens is a very impressive effort to have been pulled off by a small city: the international collections are genuinely intriguing and the landscaping is generally to a metropolitan standard. Enjoy the variety and the well executed presentation and salute the locals responsible!
Beautiful flowers, and free to enter. The place is huge, with diversity. Worth your time to enjoy!
The jewel of Coffs Harbour, the Botanic Gardens are perfect for a long wander. Not only are the grounds serenely beautiful, theres educational aspects with different habitats, regions and a large selection of very rare and endangered plant species. The walk through the mangroves along Coffs Creek in the late afternoon was lovely and the Japanese Friendship Gardens one of the better examples I have seen in Australia.I regret not spending more time here and make sure you leave more than an hour aside for a visit.
The Botanic Gardens in Coffs Harbour are the most beautiful gardens in northern News South Wales.Situated in the centre of the Coffs Harbour township the large gardens cover 20 hectares and are easily accessible from Harbour Drive – the main street – Turn into Hardacre Street before the Hogbin Drive roundabout - only 1 kilometre from central Coffs Habour. With wide walking paths, seating, cafe and shady rest areas the garden is a serene joyous display of plants and colour. No admission charges and ample parking.
Beautiful gardens. Free entry. Donations excepted. Help with a donation as this will keep the gardens looking as good as they are. Worth a visit
Went here on my own to fill in time - really glad I did. It was so peaceful and beautiful. The walking tracks were all signposted and I had loads of options to wander or stray from the main path.Despite some features not being available due to COVID-19, it still was 100% worth the visit. You can easily spend two - three hours here just walking around and enjoying the scenery.Well maintained, well situated in Coffs Harbour and recommend it to anyone in the area!
Absolutely beautiful. Cant wait till Im in coffs again. This place it a must see
We really enjoyed our few hours walking through the many gardens. The gardens are well looked after and you can see they are doing ongoing maintenance so a place we will need to keep returning to, to see the progress plus other flowers bloomed.
It was a good morning to take the Preparation for High School students for their excursion. They are currently doing a project on forests, so we could see examples of different types of forests at t the Botanic Gardens
This is one of the best botanical gardens I have ever visited. The weather inside was too good. So windy and cool with lots of trees and flowers. Never felt the walk tiring. Entry is free but do donate something in the box kept outside as they are literally preserving such a good place.
A stunning place to walk and visit with a wonderful variety of paths, plants and trees from different Australian regions. A wonderful venue for events such as rhe Japanese festival I attended. We has snacks at the small cafe which had an excellent selection including gluten free options. Friendly service, eftpos available and great facilities 😁 very happy with my experience at the gardens. Highly recommend a visit!
🌱🌿🌼🌺 So very beautiful in these gardens! Its easy walking 👣 around the many paths to see so many plants 🌴🌾 that you just wont see anywhere else! There is plenty of parking out front🚘, a little gift shop, toilets in a few locations & a little cafe for tea & coffee ☕or a milk shake🥤. We paid a gold coin donation today to attend a special event, but I think its usually free to visit the gardens 🤔
It was a beautiful place to visit, kids enjoyed walking through the gardens. There was just alot of areas under construction at the time of our visit so we didnt get to see some of the attractions.
Greatest gardens to visit, a lovely attraction to go to and is free to enter. Love the wild life and the variety of zones you can go into to experience the differences of flora. Decorated nicely with a Japanese garden and plenty of seating and water fountains available. Fantastic.
Great place for a walk. Not much flowers in bloom. Saw lots of people playing Pokemon Go. Wanted to try their famous scones but cafe was closed.
Youll fall in love with the mother of nature here for sure! Beautiful location, peaceful and calm. You can walk hours and hours and breathe in total freedom and gain positive energy. Too many different plant across the globe and Australia gathered in this garden. Lovely landscapes with Asian style garden.
Fantastic! Absolutely amazing gardens! Definitely worth a visit and worth doing with the Coffs Creek walk. Plants from all over the world, mangrove walkway, Japanese gardens. A highlight of my trip!
A magical place. Highly recommend visiting here. I went early morning and saw the sun streaming through as it rose and the wildlife as they started the day. The bees where buzzing and the volunteers where busy maintaining the gardens. A photographers heaven. Allow several hours and have morning tea or lunch at the cafe which is staffed by volunteers.
Tranquil gardens located in the centre of Coffs Harbour along Coffs Creek. Beautiful gardens that are well maintained with numerous walking trails. Whilst here I enjoyed a snack at the garden cafe. Service was great and the staff friendly. Strongly recommend a visit
The gardens are wonderful and well worth a visit with a great place for a cuppa..we were there as a group so a great lunch was provided at no great cost and was delicious..
One of the best botanic gardens around. Both natural/wild and structured. The greenhouse is amazing but only available on week days due to thefts. Consider taking mosquito repellant. Also a great spot for pokemon go players ;-)
