Norio's Family Restaurant and Take-Away in Galway

One of the best and cleanest restaurants in galway city and the food is just as good . Staff are very friendly which makes all the difference when your out dining.

Super quality food, always comes before estimated time.The only takeaway service that has never gotten my order wrong, even the the special requirements.

The service was excellent and the time waiting for the food was OK. The hamburgers were good but particularly I did not see anything special. The environment is good, all the restaurant is clean. Next time I will order something different and see if the evaluation can be upgraded here.

The pizzas were delicious but the smell of frying fish inside is horrible, so you have to eat outside. Its fine when its nice and warm but in the rain I wont visit this place.

Nice food for cheap price

Loved this diner style TAway more especially because of its sit in (shame the upstairs had to shut tooat very reasonabke price on proper dishes with welcoming helpful staff. There are few takeaways eateries chippers etc between us aand here but we do enjoy a pick up or stop off on way outa town or coming from a Sunday walk. Indeed weve sent, reccommended and brought many a budd here. Have to admit I was a bit 😮👀 at the recent price jumps and there seemed to be slight alteration to menu. Our portion werent quite as generous either but thats merely luck of draw. I guess we have to except that this is the case everywhere now as I noticed many others such as a well known Galway chain/Franchise has made a farely obvious jump on prices too 😯😕.We will just have to cook more or order less.Big post Oops. What i can never get is price of garlic mayo, curry from a pot etc.Chips take a bit of work making cooking n all but sauces and say beans ?????🙆

For the price the food portions was small the curry tasted like cheap powder curry and the food quality is not the best chips are like reheated chips burgers are worst then mc Donalds burgers and the kababs are small wrapped ones

Was good but often had a better feed here.. Portions bit on small side as in the small chip I had had pay for and surprisingly on like warm side.. Ordered my usual bacon sausage egg fry up. But this time I had to pay for separate portion of chips for the dish? Dont know if was error or as its under new name new menu etc

Oh no, not half as nice as it used to be. Slow service and worse cold chips. Hopefully new owners will improve over time

Delicious food, beautiful home made chips. However, the service left alot to be desired. Man that took orders English poor and mixed up our order. No friendliness, smile. Girl who brought down our food was friendly.

5 star staff and 5 star food..... The kids were delighted and full....

Husband rang and put in an order for collection, we got a pasta carbonara, which was completely tasteless and sauce was extremely watery and it was made with penne pasta instead of tagliatelle. My 7 year old Daughter asked for a pie and chips, they gave her a curry chip with no pie. My Husband rang them bk and had to go and collect the pie again, which was soggy from being heated in the microwave. My 6 year old Son ordered Spaghetti Bolognese also made with penne pasta and not spaghetti, there was no Bolognese, he refused to eat it. and my Husband ordered a 4 in 1, Chicken was dry, rice was hard not cooked properly and curry was too salty, which I found quite surprising that he would complain about because he likes salt on his food. I didnt want to give a star rating quite frankly this establishment is undeserving of it. I certainly would not recommend and not be ordering from here again. Absolutely diabolical

I asked for a little bit of salt on my chips and the waiter put at least 200 g of salt AND vinegar which i didnt ask for and the burgers are very flat

Have used this on 2 occasions and both experiences were take away.We tried pizza, hot dog, kids meal and 3 in 1-- all delicious. Decent portion serving.

Great food a bit pricey for 1 or 2 items

I was a regular here but got food poisoning along with my Mother in Law from this place last week. Contacted them privately re this but they didnt bother reading/responding.

Horrible ! staff not nice and didnt feel comfortable eating my food since none of the staff was wearing masks or disinfecting/washing hands and touching food whithout gloves after touching money...the most disgusting of all was the guy making our pizza had a fresh tattoo with cream on it, kept rubbing the cream and without washing hands grabbed toppings to put on the pizza!! will never go back and dont recommend it to nobody! Stay away from this nest of disease!

I went to Norios to get a pizza for dinner with my mom. The man working was being so rude. He was constantly telling us to hurry up because he has other people to serve when there was literally no one in line except us. We asked for a large Pepperoni pizza. Simple right? Well apparently not since we got a small pizza instead of large with mayonnaise, chicken and mushrooms. We did not ask for that. When we went back to tell the man that this wasnt what we ordered, he just said we shouldve been more specific. More specific? What were we supposed to say? Anyways, we were demanding to change our pizza to the one we actually ordered, so they finally gave it to us after 20 minutes of waiting when it usually takes half that time. Keep in mind, we had to pay extra for that pizza when it wasnt our fault that we got our order wrong! We ended up getting our pizza perfectly fine but when we started eating, we realised something was off. The crust was stale and the marinara sauce was old and rotten. There were chunks of tomato and who knows what else. I also found a piece of hair in the sauce. The pepperoni had something that looked like mold on it too. It gave us a really bad stomach ache and we got sick for the following week from that pizza. I do not recommend Norios Family Restaurant.

Usually love Norios, but very disappointed. I was so looking forward to my garlic chips, dug in and found a black hair.. Ugh gawks!!! Be sure to wear your hair nets guys... Ugh still gagging 😩

Cant comment on food because i didnt get it.Cancelled my food after 1 hour and 20 mins.Rang them to complain and they said the reason was they were very busy. They shouldnt take so many orders if they cant handle it.Very disappointing .

Food its ok but the washroom its terrible so please guys keep this in good order aswell because its part of your restaurant as well

Chips had fish aftertaste and were very dry. Veg Kebab was very flavourless dont think Ill go back. Pizza looked good but didnt try as had no vegan option

Food (Bacon and cheese fries and Chicken Ballswas absolutely Lovely! The Lady that I dealt with at the till however. Very rude, Cross looking and abrupt. Raising her voice in a rude manner over a question she asked that I simply didnt hear right. No need for it all really.

Ordered the Deal that had 2 burgers, chips, sauce and drinks. Great offer and usually everything is very good, but tonight the chips were inedible. They tasted so fishy, they were absolutely disgusting. Went straight in the bin, very disappointed

Nice fast food downstairs and very nice restaurant upstairs. Bathrooms were sparkling clean. I had a chicken burger and it had an absurd amount of mayonnaise, I had to remove some, it was pretty heavy.

Great burgers and proper chips !! Service and deliveries are prompt and always what you ordered ! Would deff recommend it !!

Being worked in pizza places, my personal experience Pizza was not tasty and professionally made. Extra sauce leaves water in pizza, so you have to eat with 10 fingers otherwise cheese and toppings falling down...So 2 stars out of 5.

This is a solid 4.5 stars out of 5. Service was great, my capricciosa pizza arrived quickly (it should be called ham and mushrooms to be precise). Nice crispy and thin crust, the right amount of toppings. Fresh mushrooms thinly sliced and cooked in the oven like youll find in Italy. Electric oven, not wood-fired, but that is not a big issue. Recommended.

Our takeaway was stone cold I couldn’t eat it. We ordered and picked up within ten minutes so I cannot understand how this happened. My kabab was extremely spicy 🌶 wasn’t able for that either. Definitely won’t be going back.

The staff was friendly and the was pretty OK.

It was quiet when we arrived. We ordered a donner kebab, veggie kebab for ourselves and plain burger and small pizza for our kids. My wife asked for no sauce on the donner and it came covered in ketchup and wasnt particularly hot, the pizza was slightly burned and they brought me a veggie burger which I didnt ask for. When I did get the kebab it was basically pizza toppings mixed with cheese in a pita bread. The food is pretty revolting overall. And not cheap. They claim to be voted best chippie but if you actually look its the Roscommon branch, not Galway.Avoid this place at all cost.

Norios family restaurant its a lovely place to sit down and have a bite to eat .the staff are very friendly and the food is extremely tasty and its the best value restaurant.i would always recommend norios to all my freinds great meeting point and free parking

Lovely food, big portions, good prices. I love the interior upstairs. I could just stay there all day, have my meals and glass of wine. I will come back.

Not great food.. chips under cooked. Salad leaves on the way out.. if they were in my own fridge Id have them thrown out. Deep fried chicken wing dried out.. 1/4 pounder edible. Lasagne with no bechamel sauce.

Friday 9th March 5pm - Ordered take-out - Fish n Chips, 1/4 pounder n Curry Chips and a nuggets n chips for the 6 year old standing along side me.While seated reviewed menu and seen that there was a kids nuggets meal with capri-sun for 5€ which was not offered to me (okay not a big deal caught for another 1.30€And when collected food from lady I asked for the capri-sun and she refused flat out to give the child the drink, said there was 4 nuggets in 5€ meal and mine had 6 nuggets?? No sense??Cost of capri-sun .20c, cost of repeat business PRICELESSFish not fresh and had very strong taste - majority thrown in bin.1/4 pounder was of poor quality - something you would get at an outdoor gig. Sorry didnt go to supermacs

If I could would give 0 star, this place is not Italian restaurant nor Italian pasta or pizza. The pizza is very bat it look like bread there is no pizza like that they cant call that pizza. Pasta they can also call that pasta overcookedand the salce is all disgusting restaurant, staff can know if they Italian Iridh they speak strange English all the time running. If I could I would close this place the fish full of oil smell probably they never change that oil my close smell for week that oil.

Really nice food at good prices and the staff are friendly. The ground floor has typical chipper and pizzeria food while upstairs is an Italian restaurant with a selection of pasta and pizza with wines etc.
