Noreuil Park Foreshore in Albury

This beautiful park butts up to the bank of the Murray River. At present almost the entire park is under water, the river has broken its banks and the water flowing down the small creeks has nowhere to go.In normal circumstances Noreuil Park provides something for everyone. It has a really fun adventure playground for kids, well maintained toilets, Picnic & BBQ facilities including hotplates and tables, recently upgraded pathways, outdoor gym, boat ramp, a canoe club and one of the best eat-in and takeout restaurants in the area, the River deck. Needless to say the restaurant has an excellent deck nestled in the elbow of the Murray.

Beautiful place, awesome playground and fantastic place to have a barbecue. I have been to this park a number of times there are playgrounds for kids its large. And there are wondering walk ways perfect for an afternoon stroll. I highly recommend this place.

Great place to stop if you are driving from Sydney/Melbourne. Toilets, Cafe, river side picnic tables, heaps of parking and only 1 minute off the highway

Love that its wholly enclosed and has a cafe right next to it. Public toilets as well. So convenient for solo parenting trips!

A most beautiful park for the people. Set against the backdrop of the mighty Murray River this park provides a green oasis year round for picnics, BBQs, wedding photos, family gatherings, gentle exercise, and general rest and relaxation. There are some works going at the moment, (June 2022but when they are finished I am sure the park will be an even better amenity for Alburians and visitors.

I love to make picnics and bbq in this park. There tables and benches, toddlers playground available. Beautiful views of river.

Lots on offer for families.We started at the Noreuil Park Playground. This enclosed playground was beautiful with the enormous trees acting as shade cloths.Its not as big as Oddies Playground which works in its favour as most families head to Oddies leaving Noreuil playground relatively empty.It looks out onto the Murray River and the Noreuil Park Foreshore.Just outside the playground there are BBQ facilities and seating. Otherwise there is a cafe right next door.From there we headed along the foreshore walk which was beautiful. There were people having picnics whilst others kayaked down the river. Along the walk there were tables and directions to different walks.As we walked there were heaps of birds to photograph, including the Red Rumours Parrot and the Eastern Spinebill (photos included).They are currently upgrading the walk with a large section closed. You can get back on track by walking along the grass.Whats close by:* Oddies Playground

We visited in Autumn and there was a reasonable number of people there enjoying a quiet and relaxing spot. Great spot for a picnic but you would need to keep an eye out for any young uns who were not strong swimmers because the river flows pretty strongly there

Loved floating around on the river and sitting under the trees chatting the arvo away. Nice place to cool off on warm days with shallow spots for the kids too.

Great spot for a picnic and let the kids burn some energy. A little splash park for the little ones and a pretty awesome playground for the bigger kids.

Impressive huge Plane trees line the carpark and foreshore providing shade, inspiration and an oasis for forest bathers along the mighty Murray river. The lushness and tranquil environment is great for humans and paw buddies.Theres a cement platform for those wishing to take an invigorating dip in the river. Popular cafe, kids playground, public toilets, ample number of rubbish bins and water refill station. This is a great spot for relaxing or the beginning of an adventure by foot or river.

Every time I stay at Albury for work I have an early morning walk around the boardwalk and have a dip in the river. If you are not a competent swimmer do not swim, the current can be deceiving.

First class ,..lots of space , Green grass , shady trees , the mighty Murray , picnic tables , BBQs , walking/ cycling track, playgrounds , ... The list goes on.. absolutely Beautiful.

Be prepared for extremely cold water if youre keen on a swim! Bit of a shock to the system but so lovely 😊

As others have said this is a first class picnic area with plenty of tables, shade, a kids play ground and a great restaurant cafe. One of our favourite places in Albury. When we were there the river was running much higher than normal.

Beautiful spot. Fun for the whole family or in your own. Beautiful sunshine over the mighty Murray River. The Staff at the Cafe were very inhospitable, felt spoilt. Lots of ppl basking in the afternoon sun on the banks. Dogs playing, ppl walking, bike riders excersicing, children squealing with delight. It was a great afternoon out

Beautiful place for kids to play and to walk your dogs, theres a park and plenty of park seats with tables. Tons of ducks which were very cute.

It is a really lovely area. Needs more bbqs not enough for the crowds they get.We have had 2 70th Birthdays there with 70 odd people and had to take our own bbq. There is only one bbq area suitable for that many people.

A really delightful place to stop over and have a break. The restaurant looks lovely and served a great takeaway coffee during the COVID border dramas. Very cold here even though the sun was out. Great barbecues but not clean. Keep an eye on kids they can fall into the river which has a strong current... Playground for kids to play in plus tables and chairs.

Visited the Noreuil Park foreshore after spending the day at Albury. Parking is a little tight if there are lots of cars coming and going. Nice open path with views of the river. Took some picnic items and a rug. Was quite busy so a prime spot was a bit hard to find. A few tables in the same area also. Lovely views of the river, there is also a decent playground for the kids. Just a bit too busy on the day for my liking. There is also a cafe there.

Beautiful place for picnic, coffee or a bbq. Always clean and tidy. On a hot day you can jump in down by the bridge and floatdown the river. Great place for a walk, run, or cycle its also dog friendly, but can getting pretty busy at times, very popular.

Beautiful park. All amenities are new and well looked after. Shady and cool spot in the hot weather. Plenty of car spaces. Walking and bicycle tracks. Very nice cafe.

The place is really small. But fun . The staff is friendly and gives you lectures . Only 12 $ per person is reasonable. You can touch a few urchins, starfish etc.too.This is great for young kids as it is not too big, there are hands-on activities and it has a good range of fish and sea life. And we went across the road for a drink at the resort afterwards.

Beautiful park. Great swimming spot on the Murray River. Playground, picnic tables, River Deck Cafe and plenty of space to spread out. We came as tourists, but easy to see why its popular with locals also.

Nice spot for a swim and floating down the river. Fairly strong currents, so you need to be a reasonable swimmer. Coffee and icecream nearby can make for a great relaxing spot with beautiful shade.
