The brand Americana Nordstrom is a good but not amazing outpost of the department store chain. I grew up going to the Walnut Creek Nordstroms, but Ive also been to the one in San Francisco, San Diego, Orange County and Seattle. This Nordstrom is in the second of the two tiers they have, a mall location vs an urban stand alone. Its nice enough inside just not particularly robust in terms of the selection relative to the bigger locations

I was here with my partner a few days ago to test some perfumes as a gift for her birthday and received atrocious customer service from what I have to assume was a floor manager in the perfume department. My partner was looking at a bottle of Jo Malone on a shelf and up behind us came an employee who reprimanded my partner for touching a bottle that wasnt part of the testers. There was no one to greet us outside of this person whom of which offered no "hello" or "how can I help you". At the very least he couldve asked what scent she was interested in to redirect us to the bottles they prefer wed use. Instead he made her feel so uncomfortable that we just left. Ive gone to this location to purchase perfumes and colognes before, but I cant say Ill be returning any time soon if this is the kind of treatment that customers should expect to receive.
If it could give the snack bar a 0 I would. Absolute trash customer service

I recently got a new job in a professional setting and needed to seriously upgrade my wardrobe. I used the free styling service and booked with Pernilla. I have never been happier. She picked clothes that pushed my safe styling routine but they still felt authentic to me. She was great about showing me a variety of pieces that were within budget with a few "dream"/future pieces thrown in to see how my style could expand.I am completely in awe of my professional-style transformation. Pernilla is an incredible stylist and I absolutely recommend her. My hour long session turned into a few hours and she was still accommodating me long after the appointment. Such a fun experience! I will definitely be back. (A few examples but definitely not all of the pieces I purchased!Also this Tory Burch fragrance -- I wish I purchased bc its so refreshing. Next time!
I purchased a $400 Clair V. bag less then 8 months ago from the purse department at this Nordstrom’s. I used it at most once a month and the calf skin on it started to extensively deteriorate. I tried to return it today (same place I purchased itand the sales rep Jay or Jason (blonde guydeclined the return saying that it was “normal wear and tear and that they couldn’t return anything that wasn’t in sellable condition”. I asked him to get me someone higher up to speak to, he got Julie from the jewelry department. Julie also declined the return and added that returns are on a case by case basis. I tried to explain that I only used it a handful of times and that the bag was expensive and didn’t even last a year. I found out later Julie wasn’t even the floor manager. Both sales reps were very callous and not once offered to have the floor manager review this return they led me to believe Julie was the higher up. Basically they expect someone to buy a $400 bag and eat the cost for poor craftsmanship that begins to fall apart with a handful of uses. “Case by case basis” means your returns are up to the bias of the sales reps working that day. I’ve never been more disappointed in Nordstroms. Why do they carry bags that fall apart so easily and put the cost of poor craftsmanship on the customer?
Bought a pair of chucks and jeans from here a couple hours ago. These nice ladies named Jocelyn and Jessica helped me out in those different departments and were very patient :)Thank you ❤️Also thank you to the dude that helped grab my Chanel cologne. Very polite :)

Omg! I cannot even say how much I love the customer satisfaction at this Nordstrom. Erica C, the manager of Advanced Skincare is truly the best associate to help you. Not only is she kind, but she always helps me find something accordingly to my needs. Any promlems I have with my skin, I go to her. She is the sweetest! Carmine, the store manager is also amazing. If I am unsattisfied with anything around the store, he makes sure it is taken care of right away. Have been shopping here with Erica for about 2 years, and I always return to her!

Nordstroms at The Americana is a beautiful store and the location is excellent. You wont be disappointed. The store is well merchandised and the service is excellent. Its loads of fun shopping at this store and enjoying the Americana. Theres reataurants, a movie theatre and a trolley. Its such a great area to shop, eat and have fun.

I recently went to this Nordstrom location for the first time. I was looking for a pair of Dior slides for a Bday gift. I was immediately greeted and welcome by Joselyne, she was super helpful trying to locate the exact pair I wanted since this location didn’t carry designer! She was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive! I was really impressive with her customer service!Thank you! I will be back to shop for myself next time with Joselyne.

I went to Nordstrom today to get some things from Chanel and the Chanel girl Amy was super sweet and helpful she made my experience there amazing! She had the best customer service I had ever had in Chanel and in Nordstrom!

Chabelli in the mens suit department was so helpful. She and Pedram measured me for a custom shirt I needed to get made for a wedding; they were kind, patient and so non-judgmental towards my specific/random requests.

BEST TAILORING service ever by A. BEYATRES AGOOB!She is an amazing seamstress and tailor, and exceeded our expectations in both fitting and tailoring!For even the best high end department store, her skills are noteworthy.She was working in the Mens department, after normal business hours, and provided the fastest and most accurate fit and tailoring weve ever had - and we always have to alter something when we buy nice brands off the rack.Did I mention for small rush fee she completed our alterations ON THE SAME DAY!?!We shop here again specifically because of her expert skill at making my partner look amazing fir a very important last moment work event. We hope shes there long term and we will get to use her expert tailoring skills again!
Love it for today there is one person in purfum cosmetic always there for me so nice American lady if she is there when I go ,but the rest of it cant say it ,over price and simple things or mostly on line or out of stock so just waste of time and money I can get on line from Europe,Englandext...,cant say name of countries I grew up there clothing and my own fsmilyyyyy.
We went to the store 8/28/21 (Saturday afternoon)to this store in Glendale and my wife saw this. I can’t believe how disgusting the restroom was. They definitely need to hire more professional cleaning staff.
Nordstrom Glendale is a spectacularly beautiful open sell store with large assortment of every category. I REALLY LOVED THE SUNGLASS DEPT, VERY LARGE, BY DESIGNER AND LOTS OF MIRRORS TO USE FOR TRYING GLASSES ON. THE COSMETICS DEPT IS ALSO VERY WONDERFUL
I do not like the system thst they have points for each worker but overall nice stuff and nice workers and service. And Im glad its kind of like a department store many brands in one area..

I always receive great service from the sales reps even when they are busy. And this particular Nordstrom feels like a community and become my go to. I always look for certain sales reps and have never experienced anytime of pushy sales people.
I dont like coming here very much but when I do, I get reminded why I dont come in here. The women in the intimate department are very dismissive. They dont greet you nor offer to measure you. I understand we are under a pandemic, but I thought I would ask.. and when I did, she said no and walked away.They seemed to be interested in their own conversation and not pay attention to what is going on. I was the only one there! They definitely know how to clear a room. Rude!
Awesome experience. Went in just to get a gift wrapped. Stoke up a conversation, so pleasant great job on the package and gave me a great price to boot.
I ordered a pair of shoes, and upon receiving them I realized they were definitely used. The box was dirty, the shoes had very visible footprints inside, bottoms were worn looking and they smelled awful. When I called customer service to explain what had happened with my order, the first time I was left hanging on the line with no response and after I called back for a second time they just told me to exchange or return them, and it made me feel like they just circulate them. What they should have done is held the customer that sent them back accountable for sending back obviously used shoes and not tried to forward them on to somebody else who paid good money for new shoes. I think its absolutely disgusting that its just before Christmas and they are sending out used shoes to people who may be possibly trying to gift them, not to mention this being done at any other time of the year. Wow, Im just absolutely appalled. I will not be shopping here again, they have definitely lost my business for good.
First time here today. WAY Too much makeup and other beauty products & not enough clothes and other things. Also, I don’t wear makeup but those things where everyone can sample makeup & lipstick are still there even though it’s a COVID-19 hazard. Not a good example or experience. Other Nordstrom’s are fine but not this location.
Terrible costumer service. Went in to buy a gift, not a single employee acknowledged me or even asked if I needed help. While others did receive the proper treatment, I was ignored. Later on I felt as if an employee or secret shopper was observing me.
On February 20th around 1:30 pm I visited the Nordstrom at the Americana, Looking to find a travel size perfume, I asked the sales lady what kind of travel perfume spray they have which she showed me, however those perfumes were not what I was looking for and I asked her the price. She did give me the price but when I thanked her and said I might come back, as if it was my responsibility to purchase one, just because she showed them to me, much to my surprise, she rolled her eyes at me, like she is not happy with my decision. I love Nordstrom and when I go there, I expect excellent customer service, like what I experienced as I was close to the exist door, I noticed the Chanel perfume section and wanted to get a sample, the sales lady was so inviting, so good tempered and polite, she gave me the sample and thanked me for visiting Nordstrom, her smile made me want to go back and buy the Chanel perfume from her. This is the kind of customer service I expect when I go shopping, we all have problems but should not bring them to work.The customer service in America should always be number one in the world.
When Nordstrom was inside Glendale Galleria years ago, they had clothes for people of all ages. But now, it seems like they took out clothes for older people like my mom. And, the service isnt what it used to be. In the past, sales associates were available and ready to assist. But now, you have to look for them. When they were done ringing up the customers items, they would hand the shopping bag to the customer by coming around the cash register. It was these small gestures that set Nordstrom apart from its competitors. But, its extremely disappointing that its no longer like what I used to remember. As for the selection of items, there arent a lot to choose from. I feel like its a store where pick-ups and returns are done. And, people dont actually buy things at the store except maybe cosmetics.
Staff-amazing and patientCoffee- yum, had an iced egg nog latte. Snacks- good quality. Comfy decor. We all stuffed ourselves inside to get a quick munch while waiting for the Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony to start in the Americana. Ive stopped here a few times before as well. Lovely spot.
i ordered 2 pairs of shoes on a friday night and they were ready for pick up on saturday morning as soon as the store opened. pick up was easy and i actually ended up returning one pair because fit wasnt right. employees were helpful and lines were short/non-existent.
Terrible service in the children’s shoe department. I tried to be patient and understanding but was ignored multiple times by the sales associates. Finally when I was helped, the associate helping me kept looking over my shoulder at others customers and coworkers and would not listen to my question. She left 3 times to put returns away or look at the computer. I kept telling her over and over that I needed an exchange and she didn’t listen and returned the item. I finally just asked for my item back and left. Terrible service- just order online!
So I didnt know if you buy jeans from here you and it doesnt fit you can get it fitted for $15 I bought some jeans got them adjusted they didnt charge me but yeah thats something nice they offer because I always have problems with jeans and length that was great. I am not sure if they offer that for other clothing items but for sure jeans.
I come to this store when I don’t feel like waiting to get my products delivered to my home. Service is great and I love the return policy and helpful staff. The employees have a Great professional attitude and are always willing to help with my questions. I like there honest opinion when we ask for recommendations. I have been shopping here for about 3years now
My partner and I come here often to review the latest fragrance releases. Everyone in the fragrance department is always helpful and friendly. Often times the staff member who assists me is very knowledgeable of the brands and collections, and effectively finds recommendations with the notes I am looking for.
The customer service here rocks!! Seriously so friendly and helpful it made my shopping experience with my wife painless. Alyssa, our personal shopping concierge was able to help us search through the EXTENSIVE inventory all over the store to help my wife find exactly what she was looking for.
My family and I visited this store this past weekend on Saturday. Together we had 5 children/girls, the five girls needed shoes and could not make up their mind. We were in the Kids department and assisted by an employee, with extraordinary attitude, was patient and with the best customer service I have ever seen in my entire life! I asked him for his name, Michael A. Fresquez! It was pretty busy and that department was well kept and organized we were there 2 hours this gentleman was providing service to us while assisting may other clients as well, my family and I noticed how very well he handled the situation, it was around 1 or 2 p.m. and very busy, he was very respectful, diligent and helpful to not only us (we were a total of 9 peoplebut to other clients. It was not until we were leaving with our purchases that we noticed we had been assisted by the best employee ever this guy has a gift and should train other employees, wanted to make sure he was recognized.
The service I have received over the past month and particularly this week has been exceptional - The fragrance counter manager is very knowledgeable, professional and personable. I so appreciated her help. In the childrens department over the holidays and again this week I had amazing service from the girls department - I had seen a dress and decided to get it the next day, so called in. She found the dress, wrapped it up and mailed it out for me - all taken care of in a matter of minutes over the phone - so easy and fast! Stellar service and merchandise.
