Cafe-style bar with Scandinavian beers and snacks, TV sport, table football and a ping pong table.
Great place to watch Formula 1!
We had been searching for the last hour, walking around and trying to find a pub that wasnt nursing at the seams (on a Sunday?). Hoping to find a relaxed counter culture vibe. Very happy to have found Nordic 🪓🔥
What a place! Very decent atmosphere full of fun, games and its open late. The toilets are hilarious as well!
I have mixed feelings about booking this place. I made a booking with an enquiry about accessibility, which the staff were completely transparent with saying they couldnt accommodate. It transpired that accessibility would no longer be an issue and after paying the deposit to secure the booking, they acknowledged me saying accessibility was no longer an issue and the booking was confirmed in their email so our group had a place to watch the first GP of 2022.Low and behold, I was told that they cant accommodate wheelchair users to access the front door and they cancelled my booking on the morning of the day we were due to go there. There was no response to either an email or a message until the day after, nor did they take my calls and I didnt receive my refund until 5 days later.Thankfully, a friend in the group was able to book a table without a deposit so we werent left wihout a venue. The food was good and served in reasonable time though the bar staff were somewhat forgetful as they hadnt served my drink after Id paid.It transpired that another member of Nordic Bars booking team had seen my initial enquiry about wheelchair access but failed to check the conversation with their colleague and cancelled my booking as a result. Doing it at such short notice was really poor form when theyd not gone to the effort of establishing the full situation or at least the key details.Would I book again? The experience in the end was good but that was only from a fortuitious opportunity taken by my friend to secure the place at late notice. Whether Id book again would be dependent on knowing the places booking team had learnt from this mistake as I wouldnt count on chance acting in our favour again.
The only bar Ive found in London that sells Hartwall Original Long Drinks, aka Lonkero, and Salmari. Fun retro games. Music gets a bit too loud considering it is not a night club per se.
My experience or lack there of, of the Nordic bar, at 11.55pm Saturday 05 March 2022Im on a city break in London on my own, and asked a barman whos pub was closing, could he recommend a bar that says open later. He said Sure the Nordic bar, they stay open until 2am. So I looked it up and went there. The bouncer said, have you got friends already in here, I replied No, Im on a city break on my own. He refused me entry. He said no singles allowed So the lesson here is if you are on your own, dont go here because its a crime to be on your own!
We had a booking for 15 people. When we arrived, there were no tables available or reserved. When asked about it, the bar staff were confused about the booking but the manager then checked and asked if it was a party of 15? He then said it was our fault for booking 1 table for 15 people (when booking they dont ask how many tables you need so this was obviously rubbish and this didnt twig with the manager that it made absolutely no sense that there was 1 table for 15 people). They had to tell people who were already there watching the football to move, obviously to their annoyance, it wasnt their fault. We got about 60% of our group sitting down when we started ordering beers and food. They then said they didnt have enough food, only chicken wings and chips. Then a few minutes later, said they also had burgers. We just finished the £75 booking deposit on beers and left which the manager (I thinkthen had the cheek to ask why we were leaving.Dont bother booking or going for food. Its fine to pop in to watch the football with a few beers but dont expect anything more.
Nice, friendly staff. Good little place on a street with very few options. Going early is great as much easier to get a seat and have a chat.
I had booked Nordic Bar for beer pong last night. Although the bar seemed great for watching sports or casual drinks after work, i would not recommend going there for beer pong. The beer pong table was set up in a narrow halfway opposite the toilets. The table itself was tiny and is not suitable for a big group of people. I was refunded my deposit for the reservation after expressing that I was not happy with the beer pong set up. Albeit the process for the refund was not properly explained to me before the manager had walked off to do something else. This left me waiting longer than I should have as he later then told me that it will be refunded automatically and I did not need to present my card. Considering it was peak hours I do not blame them for being pre occupied with other customers and under a lot of pressure. Nevertheless I would expect a venue who takes bookings and charges a deposit to be more hospitable and accommodating towards their customers. Maybe it was just a bad experience, but I would definitely not recommend this as an entertainment bar for a group of people.
Their only saving grace is their affinity for showing the most unglamorous of football games.Ive been started on 3 times in here and happy to report 3 wins out of 3 fight record here 😎 😎 😎
Really fun atmosphere. Great for a night out or to watch the game. The vibe was a mix between a frat house and a sports bar. The people were also very friendly. Its a little hard to find a seat at night, but there are lots of screens to watch the game, pong, and some tabletop video games.
Had double booked out table for a birthday. 40mins to order a drink. Manager refused to speak to us. Honestly, dont waste your time here
Went here for a friends birthday. Really rowdy and chaotic, but thats not the issue. I left a very expensive jacket behind the counter, and when I telephoned a week later and it was confirmed as being in their possession. All the unique details of the jacket were confirmed and so i thought it was now safe. A trusted friend went shortly after (as I was abroadand the staff vehemently denied the existence of any jacket in their possession.Alarmingly they have completely denied access to any cctv logs which is extremely unsafe if that is their policy (?!and they have gone a step further so as to not hand over the name of the staff member who categorically confirmed the presence of the jacket in their possession. The dishonesty is one thing but denying details is extremely concerning and alarming. If there was a serious accident, then what? No access to cctv? This poses an extreme extreme danger to patrons. They refuse to speak to me and hang up the phone when I call and the manager Gavin seens evidently keen to wash his hands of this problem. Ive emailed several times too. Gavin very rudely asked me to go to their local charity shop for lost and found, but similarly refused to give me the name of this charity shop.A lot of questions remain and this investigation is being continued.
Basement bar that is good for after-work drinks, with plenty of seating. Shows Premier League games as well as other sports. The food is what you would expect from a sports bar, designed to soak up the booze not win Michelin stars.
Good fun location with beer pong, old arcade style games and incredibly friendly and accommodating staff members. Quite a tight environment and very narrow corridor to get to the toilets. Not for those scared of catching Covid
Amazing bar and great music but the best was the employee called taz? (not too sure that is his name as i was rather drunki visited multiple times between 22nd and 24th and every time the service was outstanding. wish it was my local as id be in all the time just for that. cocktails were a little weak but it wasnt the end of the world.
Very hidden underneath the street level, this place impressed me a lot. Nice food, nice beers, nice people. I’ll go there again.
Had a few drinks with a friend on a (more quietTuesday evening. Venue seems really nice - not too loud to chat and the staff were all kind and friendly. I really enjoyed their pulled pork burger I ordered, came with fries and was yummy! Thors Nectar is a good beer to try out. Cocktails were pretty good too, but the price adds up over time as theyre all 10GBP+.
Amazing place to chill and have a drink with friends.Staff was very friendly with a general relaxed atmosphere. As a Viking fan I really like it and definitely be coming back!
This place was brilliant good before COVID, but the staff they have now are kinda rude, they tend to ignore you and get annoyed if the drink order is "effort" for them. Cocktails are good though.
Friendly staff, good coffee and hot drinks. This place is very spacious, making it an ideal location for large groups. The views are nice as you can e the canal life with its boats and kayaking people.Located close to Paddington station, this certainly makes a handy place to know. Will be back to try their food for sure, an overview of their open kitchen made us crave some of the tasty concoctions. The decor is warm and welcoming.
Really good ambience, great music, table tennis and arcade game as tables nice touch. Plenty of TVs for football. Id recommend booking a table beforehand due to limited space. Drinks were quite pricey, even for central London. £6.50 for Kopparberg. Due to pricing, Id probably start or end the night here or come for a game.
Flora and Amy and the cute manager dude... are legends. From break ups to looking after paralytic friends... they are there for you.Zombie sharers forever... if you just do one, youre a pu$$y. Love that place. Legends.
Perfect place underground to have biers or cocktails with your friends...you can also ask for a beer pong fight and make a new friends.
Great food, great atmosphere crazy drinks lots of fun. Will visit again
Quite interesting decorations with random, nordics-related stuff and images. Good for when there are some hockey matches to watch in there, and the fact they are selling some interesting drinks from the Northern Countries. But other than that, the music is too loud, typical English pub style, floor was absolutely awful, and overall didnt have that big of an extatic experience
Great night for England vs Scotland last night, England and Scotland fans celebrating together. Bar handled it reasonably well, however they were trying to get everyone to stay seated (because of covidbut also playing songs that were getting people excited for the game, which caused some frustration but all in all a great night
Hi I had an amazing experience in this pub with my friends that we were hosted by a very polite guy by named Rodrigo that take care about us and served me and all my friends explain us about the offers of the place. Very good food, amazing cocktails and we had a GREAT time. Highly recommended and I’ll come back soon thanks.
A triumph of a venue with a brilliant theme! Especially good for large parties, Prosecco and beer pong hilarious! We’re already booking to go back as the staff are always uber friendly and professional and committed to making your night out the best! You have to go!!!!
Super fun bar! Staff were so welcoming and the food and drink is always great! Cant wait to book another night out with them in May!
A great little bar not far from Soho. Really welcoming and friendly place with a fantastic selection of drinks and a super fun shot wheel. Staff were all very attentive and for a giggle which was great! Must try the food also, the meatballs were amazing!!
Came when we were allowed out! Great vibe in the bar with fantastic food and drinks. Good viewing for the sports and the staff were fantastic. Cant wait to return in May!
One of the best bars around in London. One of the rare places to get Hartwall Long Drink aka Lonkero 😉
Great bar! Fantastic food, lots of drinks to choose from including a shot wheel! I was excited by my snowball thinking it would be like the drink but to my surprise it was Baileys and sambuca. It went down well. We played prosecco pong which was fun.
Amazing bar ! Loved the cocktails I’ve had. Staff is super friendly and really good at recommending drinks. Will definitely come back soon !
This is a lively bar! Plenty of people having a great time! The staff are friendly and work like crazy to keep customers supplied with food and drinks. Be warned that happy hour is a busy time but with two for one cocktails and 25% off food its no wonder. Food is good although I wish it was a bit more nordic. A great place for groups looking for a fun time. The photos I have attached are of the gents toilet. I think they show that fun is number one here.
What an awesome night out this place was, so perfect for a late night party! Great venue, great staff, great prices and constant laughs from all! Came here prior to this on a separate occasion for the live sport and it had such a nice homey and fun feel to the place even earlier in the evening. Pulls in a nice bunch of people too, no dramas. Would recommend to anyone!
What a hidden gem! Well stocked with Video game arcade tables, table tennis, and mutilple TVs for sport. The Drinks are well priced (featuring Scandinavian beers too), the food is decent and the staff are friendly. I could get a seat on a Sunday afternoon to relax with friends and they even periodically gave out free popcorn! Would definitely come again :)
Great bar, minutes off Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road. Good range of beers, spirits and cocktails. Friendly staff. Has a games room in the back with classic 80s video games and ping pong. Behind the bar there is a "Spin the wheel" if you dont know what drink/cocktail to order. A fun place!
First time visiting and already planning my return. Would have never stumbled upon this great little bar without being told about it.Sports, beer/prosecco pong, cocktails, great music and food. The happy hour left me very happy over the course of a Saturday!Staff were great and I cant wait to go back.
Great manager very welcoming, long Island ice tea was great. Happy hour and industrial nights going on as well as sport and game room! Freaking amazing old school games. Nice to find a bar like this in Central.
Great little find tucked away off Oxford Street. Good selection of drinks, food is good value and hearty. We got one of the platters which was good value and tasty. It also had some retro games (pacman etc...that were free to use and a table tennis table (but we didnt ask about it). Regular happy hour deals as well. Will definitely be back next time catching up with friends in London.
Whole place is a little cramped, not much room to sit with friends. Where we were we couldnt talk to someone sitting across from us as the music was too loud. Went with Scandinavian friends, nobody thought it was very Nordic.Very nice cocktail menu, reasonable prices for central London. I won a spin on a wheel that should have resulted in a free drink but I still had to pay.
Nice little place. Good food, drinks, music and very tradicional like deco. Worth a visit!
Shame to see an old favourite starting to fall from grace. Overpriced drinks with limited collection. Maybe my expectations are much higher than before.
Good for watching sports; not too busy and easy to see screen. Limited drinks options (they were out of a few choices when we got there). Staff arent particularly friendly. A4 printouts of underwear models all over the bathrooms which is strange. Much closer atmosphere than most sports bars though. No pool table but they do have a table tennis table.
I’ve been coming back here for about 6 years now. It’s a great place for bigger parties as the table tennis allows for a lot of fun; you have to book the table in advance though as it’s a popular activity. The drinks selection is great as is the service - always friendly and professional. On the last occasion my group of friends got verbally attacked by some drunkards, but the bar staff resolved it swiftly and escorted them out. Will be back for sure.
After work drinks here were great. I mean, they serve a punch bowl in a sauna pail! Cheeky bathroom wallpaper btw...
Amazing vodka and very cool club with friendly barmans always ready to advice you about the drinks
Great venue with a shot wheel and an interestingly decorated mens room. Its a little too easy to get carried away with the shot wheel though.
