Chinese stir-fries and wok specialties served in a contemporary restaurant with outdoor seating.
Good food,, bit expensive.. not friendly staff - the approach and confident and friendly manner missing.. staff not welcoming enough. Lost lot of star for poor service.
Wow what great food if in darwin and love mud crab then eat here. We had mud crab and bug tails and they were amazing. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.
Walked in and was ignored by the service staff they served three other groups in after us so we left
Had a dinner with family, i brought my baby, staff didn’t serve a high chair even no asking. No ask for drinks as well as. The food was between warm and cold, it should be hot. We sat outside and baby was sleepy and crying. We decided to go home earlier and requested for takeaway, in the end theyhhhr charged extra for takeaway…It was my terrible experience I never ever had🤦🏻♀️Won’t come again, don’t waste your time.
Really average food that lacked in taste. The BBQ pork spare ribs had barely any meat in them & way too much batter, wontons were mainly pastry, Spring rolls were tiny, Chicken & vegetables had mainly wombok cabbage. Just really disappointing takeaway meal for $90.
Very dissapointing unfortunately. We had sizzling steak, tastless sweet & sour chicken, soggie and house special noodles a bit greasy we thought. Staff were not very engaging and could have a bit freindlier. Not worth the $120 plus. Shame as we were looking forward to it. We would not normally make comments like this, but felt the need.
Don’t bother, Terrible had sizzling fillet steak absolutely tasteless at 40.00 sweet and sour chicken soggy, and greasy house special noodles, I was there with my sister and her husband, honestly I never complain but felt absolutely blown away by what they served us, it was terrible, maybe you can forgive one dish, but three!! And one so simple as sweet and sour chicken. I’ve had better at a food hall. Expensive and service was terrible, no apologies were offered either.
Great food and menu. Good service, bookings recommended
so so ordinary and expensive. $22 for a bowl of noodle soup. Chicken stock, noodles, spring onion, throw in some prawns. I can do better in a kitchenette and a microwave. Sesame oil, some Asian vegetables a bit of creativity added in. and Laksa made with Clive of India no laksa paste?
Bad service, food is overpriced. Better restaurants elsewhere in Darwin.
We ordered the chilli mud crab with Singapore sauce (and scalliops with vegetables). The crab was really good. The scallops were exactly what we expected. The service staff were friendly and attentive. We waited just shy of 40 minutes for the meal to be served but consider that to be a reasonable wait and prep time - the crab was clearly very fresh and beautifully presented. Two thumbs up
I cant believe its my first time going to Noodle House restaurant even though its soo popular in Darwin. Its now number one on my list of eateries and the food omg is the tastiest Ive ever had.The hardest thing was choosing something from the menu as everything was really irresistibleFried rice, soup, noodles, entrees and dessert plus drinksLocation is great and staff are super friendlyRestaurant is neat and you wont regret eating anything from Noodle HouseTheres food for everyone, meat lovers, vegetarian, soup, dry or wet noodles etc
Enjoyed the meal. Plenty to share and even to take home. Polite friendly staff. Thank you.
Great food but slow service. Only asked if we wanted drinks once.
Really nice place, however for the price I have experienced better tasting takeaways. To be completely honest the food was a little bland, especially after a long wait. Cannot fault the service or location, however for me always its the food.Maybe I hit them on a bad night?
We visited twice during our recent Darwin visit - both times we had the mud crab (Singapore stylewhich was out of this world. We also had salt and pepper prawns and peking duck both of which were fantastic. The food is top notch, unfortunately the service got slower - they were very busy - on our last visit they warned us the wait would be nearly an hour (our second visit we did wait an hourso we decided to go elsewhere.Drinks list is good, on the pricier side. Overall I would definitely recommend for mud crab and peking duck
Extremely disappointing for poor service and terrible treatment when queried "where is our food" after over an hours wait. Arrived at 6.30 and still no entre at 7.45 - no one came near Us to explain the long waiting time. Plenty of take-away came and went during this time. Whilst it is understood resturants are short staffed it doesnt excuse a dont care attitude towards customers. No apology or desire to rectify the situation in any way. Walked out starving. This is no cheap Chinese restaurant, you pay good money for food and expect much better service and attitude towards customers.
6 different wait staff were keen to take our order. An hour and a half later we complained and got cold spring rolls. They said short staffing held up our order.wait staff were standing free. We left starving, there was no acknowledgement or apology. Not happy.
Absolutely appalling service. Table of 6 tonight. 5 people rushed to take our order then over an hour before we got 2 serves of Luke warm spring rolls. Enquire where the rest of our food was and walked out 1.5 hours after ordering. Staff were churning out the takeaway and ignoring customers. Not even apologetic.
entree is a must as waiting time for your order is an hour. Food presentation is great, taste and flavour is greater, staff is the greatest. Money well spent🙂
The single best mud crab I have ever had. Came back twice while in Darwin. Absolutely amazing. Don’t miss the Singapore mud crab 🦀 ❤️❤️
One star here is overrated! An hour and a half with no food. No checking in on the table. No service for repeat drink orders, we had to “bother” one of the staff to get a second drink an hour in.Just as we were about to leave the food appeared….Box bought frozen deep fried entrées, Cold. Beef black bean sauce, cold. Crispy skin chicken, super dry and yet again cold. Mongolian pork, actually char sui pork with a weird sauce. Vego fried noodles, mushy 2 minute like noodles with a couple of mushrooms thrown in. Peking duck pancakes, duck skin with a slither of meat spread out on some dry lettuce with a tower of pancakes….. half of the tables food bought out and left the other half of the table waiting a further 15 minutes. Sending everything in 1 big hit is not necessary, send items when they are hot and at their best knowing that the rest of the food is moments behind.Service was appalling, as in there was none. Food was an absolute joke!$500 bill, we could have got better from a take away Chinese for 1/3 of the price. Super disappointed!Looking for a nice dinner in Darwin? Do not waste your time or money in this venue!
Definitely zero to the rude and unprofessional Asian man managing the bar/counter. Extremely impolite and horrible customer service. Being busy is not an excuse for being rude. I wouldn’t visit the place ever even if the food was fabulous!!!
Tasty food, higher priced end of food In Darwin but worth a night out for a wide variety of Asian restaurant fair.
Ordered a veggie soup! And got a few pieces of capsicum, cauliflower and noodles that’s it’s! Very disappointed with the price. And the costumer service.
Had the best ginger and shallot mud crab!!!! The best. All our dishes were delicious, could not fault the food and service+++++
Took family to dinner and we were amazed by the quality and flavours. Probably the best Chinese food I have had. We ordered entre Sam cow Baptist and prawn spring rolls and for main the sizing pepper steak, Mongolian lamb and chicken and vegetables. Kids finished with the deep fried banana an ice cream. Highly recommend
Food was yummy but took 45 mins. Our booking time was 6 pm. Would have ordered dessert but staff didnt ask.
Absolute shocker. Three different dishes and all taste the same. Food buried in thick sauce.
Very very slow service. Restaurant was only half full, food quality does not justify the wait time. Better restaurants across the road.
Hard to recommend with the slow service. Food served luke warm. Ordered 2 glasses of wine to have with our meal, the wine was served after we had finished eating. Maybe look elsewhere.
Ordered the Barramundi with Thai Chilli sauce, the fish was over cooked and soggy. Also ordered the seafood combo noodles, the noodles where oily and by the time we got it home it had clumped together and when you tried to pull them apart the noodles disintegrated. Pretty poor effort for a meal that costs $60.00
Food was good but having to wait almost an hour and a half for it was not good enough. We were next to 3 larger tables having banquets and they clearly got precendent over us. I felt very unimportant and discrimanated against.Voiced my concerns with the Manager/owner and his response was that they preordered. He didnt really care.Shame on him.
Great food. Big meals. Very fresh and tasty. We ordered for 2 but think there was enough for 4.
Had the mud crab not worth the effort or the price (shouldnt have to spend an hour picking meat out of a crab at $120 )drinks were cold the rest of the meal was nice, toilets need up grading and staff did their best post covid.
First time trying noodle house. Amazing chichen and corn soup followed by a dish of chilli barramundi and rice. Also a serve of chicken and cashews in oyster sauce. Friendly staff and well priced. A must try for the those who love Asian cuisine.
Ordered a banquet, took nearly 2 hours and it all didn’t come out at once. Had first half of banquet then second half came like 20m later. Got it upgraded for 5 people and food portions were so small.Food was tasty but overall experience was bad. Also asked for assistance and never got an answer back.I also hope you like your vegetables because the meat portions are so small.
I like Noodle House, but dont love it. For some reason it just lacks the spark that could make it really good.Food is decent to good. Ambience is OK. Prices maybe a smidge high, but not bad. I do return there regularly, but it could be better.
AVOID THIS PLACE!Got served by the most rudest man, no such thing as customer service here. Better off supporting other smaller local restaurants nearby. Also place is a rip off
We got the salt pepper squid, whole fish in Thai chilli sauce, pork spare rib and choy sum. This is one of the best asian places to dine at in Darwin. Highly recommend to come with your friends to share large dinner (which is the proper asian way anyway!). Prices are pretty reasonable too.
I wish I’d read the reviews before I dined. The menu and price made me assume this would be a high dining service. The waitress seemed uninterested and had difficulty describing the dishes.I eventually ordered the Barra and bean curd clay pot, which contained 4 small pieces of Barra but heaps of bean curd, which was disappointing given the price. I would have excused this if it was full of flavour, but it was bland. The waitress didn’t bother returning to enquire whether everything was to my satisfaction. My Tiger beer was served in a stubbie (this is a restaurant, not a mate’s backyard bbqand there waa no offer of table water. On a plus side, it was clean and the aircon was cold.
Make sure you book! We were seated inside, but outdoors is also available and protected from the rain. If its a hot night, it might be better to be inside. The service was hit and miss but that was only because our waiter must have been learning. The menu is comprehensive and the waiter takes your order on the ipad. Our food came out freshly made and there was plenty of it, so much so, we took it home in the containers they provided at the end of the meal.Be aware that some meals, like the whole fish and mud crab is pricey. They do take away too and there were plenty of people coming in to pick up orders.
Great food, have come here a few times with friends. Often the service is quite lacking and slow, but they are really polite and friendly. Possibly slightly over priced for the food you receive also.
We had seafood laksa and pork laksa today. Both were very tasty, large, full bowls. Plenty of large beautiful local banana prawns in my seafood laksa. Drinks are a little expensive, but you get that..
Very well presented and clean restaurant but the food doesnt match the price. The prices are expensive and you have to wait for a long time to get your food.
Poor customer service and unfortunately the food was not as good has it has been. When we informed the staff that we did not receive a dish that was ordered, the manager came to the table argued that he personally brought the dish to the table. They then tried to bring a dish that we did not order claiming that we did. At the end of the night both items were still on our extremely large bill.I spoke with the owner about the situation and his comment was "so, i dont care" i told him that he just lost a customer he then replied "thats fine".Scratching my head wondering how many others have had the same experience. Extremely disappointed that this is acceptable customer service.
Terrible service,. Banquet took forever & there was no drinks served in between. Had to get up to ask for drinks and they still took an inexplicably long time to be brought to the table. The amount of food for a banquet was small, but the food in general was reasonably tasty, hence the 1 star. If the food was able to be eaten in a time frame of less than 3 1/2 hours, it may have been worthwhile. Would not recommend unless you want to waste your entire night being hungry.
Great service...food was not memorable.
Food is delicious. It was my first time to try their fried icecream, and it was spectacular! The combination of its lemon flavoured crust drizzled with caramel and the vanilla icecream is like a sweet dream.
Menus price difference. Cheaper for lunch. I just walked away. Lunch noodle ($17same noodles night price (25$). Red wine served hot. Try lunch.
