Nono's - Bar in San Juan, Puerto Rico
5 dollars a beer is crazy. Last time I go there.
Ancient local bar Puertorrican staple don Q is the house rumFrozen sangria and bar food
Would give more stars if possible. Very friendly staff and great collection of drinks. Once we mentioned we would like to try more local brands, time was taken to explain us the background story of some of these brands
A little dark so the photos don’t do justice. The service was great, nice atmosphere, pastelillo were amazing, the burger was good not great
This is a good place to have a beer on a hot afternoon. I would recommend serving them ice-cold instead of regular temperature, but that’s just me. The service is Ok, not great, but that’s everywhere in Puerto Rico. I would go back again.
Cold beers…..Excellent service….great place
Good frozen drink! Great selection.
Nono’s is essential when visiting Old San Juan. Terrific feel, staff, drink selection and food! We were directed here by a local; Luis (bartenderhas so much knowledge about the island, where to go, what to drink that it’s the perfect place to visit after El Morro or the cathedral.
2016: Pool tables are falling apart but its still a great time with fun music. Regardless of the quality, I love coming here and make it a point to do so whenever Im in Puerto Rico. Pool tables are upstairs, and its only open at night. Also, cash only for both drinks and pool tables. They have a couple of balconies with tables too for you to sit and people watch.
A bar located deep in old San Juan.A little pricey compared to other bars.It is on the corner of a street across from a small square (piazza).Stayed for a few drinks. The bartender Luis was a good guy (took him a little bit to warm up to us).
Excellent service and good music.
First bar I came to after the fort. Bartender was friendly & customers were super friendly. Great variety of American beers. Their piña colada was like a cross between a shake and a Mounds bar, absolutely delicious.
Just a relaxed and beautiful-no-non-sense bar. Bartenders are great! Highly recommended. Right in Plaza San Jose
Drinks are expensive for the size and alcohol. Mostly ice for 9$ a drink
Sure seems like name brand liquor bottles get refilled with bottom shelf. Nice vibe though.
Nice bar
Stopped in after walking around all morning. Food was delicious, service was friendly, and mojitos were great.
Oh gosh! Talk to Louis he is the most amazing guy! He took his time to talk to me. (AM sure the rest of the staff is nice. people in san juan are just beautiful! Thank you Louis, just ask 4 Louis if you visit NONOS
Nice place to have a Medalla beer
Best place to have a drink in old Town... Bartender JR and JENIFFER the best. 100% recommended if they are there.
Daytime bartender is very rude, inattentive. Played music from her phone and it kept ringing. This use to be a good bar.
Stopped here for a quick mojito and ended up ordering food too. The food was amazing! And the bar tender was nice too. 👌
Great little bar up by the fort. Bartender was amazing, fast & super friendly. Everyone must be seated to drink though, u cant be standing up
Loved it the bartender was very friendly and the drinks were awesome. I will be going back thereon my next trip
Great Prices. Very Enjoyable, Restrooms are clean and they actually have toilet paper. Not like other places.
I was about to walk in behind this couple when the owner flat out refused more people despite the place being pretty empty.Once I saw that I absolutely walked away. Super unnecessary behavior
We’re here on vacation right now and just left Nono’s.Great bar, great food, great prices and a great bartender! Highly recommend it!
Excellent service and great food! Salsa/Latin music was perfect for the ambiance. With curfew in effect, not many places welcome you after 7pm. The bartender/waiter not only welcomed us, but managed to get drinks and food for a group of five with a busy bar! Will definitely return! Thank you for taking the time to feed some hungry visitors!!
What a great time we had. Melvin was the best, food was delicious. I highly recommend this place.
Cool vibes, good food had the trifongo, quick friendly service, lots of drink options, restaurant next door same ownership with AC but I wanted the heat, bartender gave me a drink on the house on the way out, i recommend!Cant beat the location
Cool bar with friendly staff. Great place to just pop in and grab a few drinks or use a s a meeting place before exploring Old San Juan. Beer selection was great and prices were reasonable.
Awesome drinks and incredible service! That atmosphere was fun and we absolutely loved it here! Try their frozen drinks, they are to die for!
Good drinks! If you want to play pool upstairs the balls get stuck and you have to ask the one bar tender to unlock the table. She takes forever and could care less. To top it off there’s bird poop on the pool tables! Shame they don’t take care of this place it could be the best for late night drinks and pool.
Great music and great bartender! Prices were very reasonable!
Great place just careful Mark Anthony dont show up and close it down
Classic puertorican style bar located in a historic corner. Great service, selectionfor beers and cocktails with a great price. A must stop bar for any enthusiast interested in having an old San Juan nighlife experience!
Nice food and friendly quick service. Music plays non-stop, real Caribbean vibe!
Classic San Juan street bar. Good selection of local beers. You can also have a snack here (Pastelillos). Service is friendly and attentive. Great place to stop between other activities in Old San Juan.
At Historical Old San Juan. Enjoy a cold and refreshing cocktail or a local beer at this great place.
The feel of the atmosphere in this place is unreal. Such a great place to hang out alone or with friends. The bartender is the greatest. Love spending time here, I usually prefer week days due to the low traffic on the area and place. And also a even better personalized service. Dive bar vibes, any day of the week. 💚🥂
My favorite place in Old San Juan.Great staffTry the local beers.
Its a really good place to stop by and take some drinks when you are in old San Juan. Ive been here many times and the bartender is excellent, attentive and friendly. Prices are good and the variety of drinks huge!
Fun bar in Old San Juan. Huge beer selection and reasonable prices on cocktails. Location reminds of B. Street in New Orleans. Must go here when in Old San Juan P.R.
The mojitos used to be great... The bartender was too busy working a tip with a bigger group(undestandaundebut he wasnt that great with us.. really disappointed.. the mojitos were horrible.. next time in PR defenetly not coming back!
Fun "dive bar" atmosphere. Was having a great time until I realized the local beers were $4.50 each. Especially since we had just enjoyed the same beer across the street for $2.50 each.
Theres something about the atmosphere at this bar. Every time I visit old San Juan its my favorite. It never fails me and my fiance never leave with out the Passion fruit frozen drink, its really good!!!!
Nice barman and friendly service but the food is not great. The Caesar salad is just lettuce and croutons for $10 (no bacon, chicken, tomato, or anything). It could have been better so stick to drinks only and have a nice time.
Luis is so fast with the drinks it makes me wonder how he does it. Been going there for years before getting on a ship. Would never fo to San Juan with out stopping at Nonos. Best mojitos any where !!
The bar itself was welcoming, great location - we thought it looked great! Four of us were on a cruise, but one wasnt drinking alcohol - and yes, we looked like tourists, but was there any reason to rip us off like that? We ordered three Medalla light beers (local beer- they are advertised all over old San Juan for 2 for $5, sometimes even 3 for $5 at the bars there. Here we didnt ask the price, figured it would be in that region - when we asked the bar tender how much (after we had our beer, when we were ready to leavehe looked at us, hesitated, took literally 10 seconds before he answered and said $15. FIFTEEN DOLLARS!!! FOR THREE BEERS!!!!! FIVE DOLLARS EACH????? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Do NOT go there. You could tell that he was sizing us up before he answered..... ah, rich tourists, Ill really sock it to them!!!!! NONOS IS A NO-NO.
This place could be a better bar. The bar tender seems tired. He was just doing a job. They do not engaged their patrons into conversations. I was here twice and in both occasions I felt like I was bothering the bar tender when I asked for a beer. Plus, there are lot of seating and open wifi..
