Nong Phak Chi Wildlife Watching Tower - Tourist attraction in Nakhon Nayok, Thailand
Really nice view, but no animals in afternoon to see
Amazing, enjoyed the jungle tracking and the wildlife explanations in the watchtower :respect the nature
Attractions place for touching wildlife especially in the morning and after sunset.
View is quite good but didnt see much wildlife other than a few birds over the river (admittedly didnt stay for long). There are some educational posters detailing the various wildlife found in the park which is fairly interesting (in English as well).
Its located just 900 meters away from the main road which takes about 20 minutes to get there by a walking path through a wonderful meadow where the sound of birds and the wind blows along the way. The watching tower by itself is not much interesting for those of travelers who just want to visit, take pictures and go because the wildlife isnt always easy to spot unless youre at the right time and have some observing equipment in hand.
Nice quiet place with a good view. 900 meter easy walk from the main road.
Visit during the early morning hours or close to dusk to increase the chance of spotting wildlife. The trail is short, easy and could be intensely hot under the sun. If you want to learn more about the trail, ask for a guide from the visitor centre of the Khao Yai National Park. The cost is between bht. 500 to 1000 depending on the distance and time you need the guide for. We hired one and he was super knowledgeable. His name is Khun Cha-lad (ฉลาด). Worth every penny!
Grassland.30 minutes walk to the outlook.Sadly, It’s under construction in 2021.It’s important to bring your sun protection and water. The path itself is easy to walk.Good for kids. And of course, easy to access means harder chance to see huge animals.
The trail out to this tower is probably relatively wheelchair accessible. There a little bit of uphill and downhill but the trail is wide and you dont need to worry about tree roots or large rocks very much.
Peace and quit, with wild animal like keeps. Right time and season is important.
There is nothing but a beatutiful path to the watching tower but its worth taking a moment to walk if you love hiking.
The weather is good, but dont have any chance to see widelife
I love to visit Khao Yay national park. Right now there are a lot of animals to see because of the lack of people.
Very beautiful, nice view to grassland, even we cant see any animal
Good time for wildlife watching is after 4pm
No luck today in seeing any wildlife.
Nice view, recommend place for take a fresh air
Short trail , scenic view
~12 minute walk from the parking lot. Great little observation tower. Would be perfect if the tourists didnt scare off all the nearby wildlife.
It can be quite windy!
Good trail in Khoayai national park. Not too far and not too shot. Good for kids and family.
Shame on national park authorities to charge foreign visitor 8 times the local price. Even those with work permit (taxpayer). Especially that in the past foreigner who worked in thailand, could use their permits to enter Khao Yai National Park. The park itself is ok. Parking areas can be dirty at times.
Good natural view, good coffee.
I would return to this place at sunrise. That is when I heard we have higher chance of spotting some wildlife.Walk into the tower from carpark is quite easy 800m.Very quiet and isolated on weekdays. On weekends it does get more crowded.Baboons and monkeys are plentiful. But no other larger game were spotted.
Pretty cool to climb about 3 floors to this tower. However, I did not spot any animals at all during my 30 mins there. From other information, it might be best to go during sunrise (think they open by 6 or 7am).You have to park your car and walk about 800 m to 1km to reach this tower. The walk is on pretty flat land and harden sand, so it is not a challenging walk
Good for walking there in winter.
National park that is area you can do a small tracking.
One of the best wildlife parks in Thailand
A great place for wild animal watching
The wind at the trail and tower is cool. It constantly start and stops.
Rules : Open from 6AM to 6PM.This is only a "walking" path .Anyways,We took the scooter bike and drove till we reached the tower, it was almost 10PM that time. Camped inside the tower the whole night. It was a scary night. we fell off the bike once, also at the tower it was a cold night and rainy, we could hear some animals out there, but were not visible in the dark .
Nice walk but unfortunately we didn’t see any animals. Great view from the watch tower.
Best to wait for sunset / sunrise, apparently
Leave your car and take a walk here. A great open grass landscape invites you for a nice walk to the viewing tower at a little pond. If you are lucky you can see wild elefants at the salt lick. Best chances are in the early morning hours or shortly before sunset. More likely the wildlife comes to this place at night, when the park is closed to the public.
Amazing place, too bad didnt spot any animals
Its hard to see wild animals
Come here early morning or late afternoon for better chance to see wildlife.
Beautiful view of the lake, grasses and hills.
Good place for touch to nature in Khoayai Park
It was different from what I expected. I saw no animals there. But the experience itself is very nice. I give five stars.
The tower gives you a good overview of the area. The way is to the tower is easy to go when you are good by foot. If not dont go there.
Gives a Nice view over the surrounding area. Dont be expecting wildlife walking/flying by at all times...
This can walk from two ways1. Start from the 33rd km walks through dry evergreen and meadow which you have occasion to meet some wildlives.2. Drive to this place directly and walk for about 1-2 km
very sad, unable to sport wildlife.
Nice and breezy. Beautiful view but did not manage to spot any animals.
It is a place to relax and study nature.
The watching tower provides a good place to admire wildlife and nature and it is also a resting place for tourists after trekking in the woods.
Good spot to watch for wildlife in the park.
Good wildlife watching tower but no wildlife...surrounding scenery with a lake, makes it worth visiting, particularly just before sunset time; two trails start/terminate at this tower...one going north, the other going south
Great place to sit down and relax after a hike. Bring some binoculars to spot the wildlife all around.
