Nokor Bachey Pagoda - Buddhist temple in Kampong Cham, Cambodia
Some fake police officer trying to charge me for going in the temple. Told him I am a Catholic and I am not going in🤔🇬🇧🇰🇭🇦🇺😂
Dirty too much rubbish they try to charge $10 to enter
This place is big and alot of ancient stuff it might be a little bit crowded it is a pagoda in Cambodia and one of symbols of Cambodia.
Must visit if you are visiting kampong Cham
Good place
This temple is kind of Angkor Wat style but older than Angkor Wat. Many history you will found there about Khmer Empire ancestors.
Good place, but no one maintain the relic and temple. When I went into the temple, a weird man asked money from me, I know that he is not official staff of temple, but I still gave him 500 Riel.
Small temple with 2 different styles .. old and new combined
A historical temple you should visit when you arrived Kampong Cham province
it very nice views of ancient temple
An ancient temple built in 9th century. A very nice place to visit in lampong cham town.
An ancient temple near Kampong Cham.
Above 5km from Kampong Cham province, a Buddhism temple remained from the His Majesty King Jayavarman-VII. The architecture is similar to Angkor Wat Temple where the Stone Topping structures were found. A Pagoda is allocated inside the Temple.
Surprising pagoda with very old Stone relicts...
Nice pagoda in Kampong Cham
It is the old historical place. beautiful but there are a few interesting there.
This temple was build since as Angkor wat year . So long time that it standing here for new generation seen achievement old khmer generation. That khmer was strongest on this worlds in history.
So proud of Angkor.
An interesting but not spectacular place; after all, Cambodia has Angkor Wat!
Easy to get to. Interesting, not crowded
Nice ancient temple!
Interesting temple, But i felt uneasy in this place, and kept going out to check my moto even though it was locked.just happen to ride moto around the back and wander in through a side gate. Wasnt sure if there was an entrance fee. Theres some amazing relief carvings here and statues. You can really see the craftsmanship of how one stone was shaped to suit the one beside it. Inside the center temple (a later addition),was a regular couple old ladies wanting me to buy a bracelet. After saying no 10 times they tried to shoo me out. I just ignored their demanding umgratefullmess, and was so happy i did not give in to their pushy arrogance, so they moved onto the next person who just arrived.
I confirm fox glow review of 6 days ago. A police man ask us 1 dollar each to enter. But thats was not the problem. The same man ask us not to lock the bicycle saying he would keep an eye on it. We did not feel comfortable at all going around the temple and we shortly came back to where the bicycle where parked: 2 other men were there trying to steal the bicycles. Avoid the place for the moment.

Was a wonderful experience before "tourism police" demanded $1 from me. I asked for a receipt as I told them I prefer to give money to monks and they said not available. They then were asking how I got there and what type of moto I drive , where it was parked .... I felt very uneasy as I think they were trying to steal it as they were telling me to park in a sketchy spot outside the gate. I parked with other local bikes and cars inside the compound.I left right after instead of enjoying the temple.Picture is of the tourist police who made me feel uneasy. Notice my $1 hastily shoved into his pocket about to fall out......
The entrance fee for visiting the temple is 1$. Inside the ruins of the old temples of the Angkor Epoche was build up later a Pagoda. Local people are sleeping and relaxing in shadow of the pagoda. The poor people try to sell simple made arm bands or bet for some money. Unfortunately nobody of them can speak English. The temple is not as big as in Angkor but worth to visit. A very quiet place and no touristic.
Beautiful Temple. Corrupt police tries to make you pay a 1 dollar entrance fee. Take a small entrance at the right side, as seen from the front, of the temple to avoid them.
ជាលើកទីមួយដែលបានលេងទីនេះ its my first time visit this temple, location kompong cham province.
Angkor era temple close to Kampong Cham. Relatively intact with a modern Wat inside. Likely to be quiet unless tour group arrives. There appears to be a semi-official $1 entrance fee enforced by local police.
Great place to visit and totaly free even for tourists.
A nice little temple. Built within 3 different period.. with the last part in the 20th century. The downside of the temple is that it is also the dirtiest one I have seen ..plastic trash are all over the place ..
Learn khmer culture...
Cool history. Small temple ruins. You can hear the bats living in the ruins. There’s a prayer space inside and there are usually some grandmas or older men who takes care of the place. If you’re a tourist, they will try to charge entrance fee, or force the red bracelets on you and demand money. If you’re a local, they just let you go around as you please.
The stone inscription said it was built in year 484 Buddhist Era, thus it might be older than the Angkor Wat.However the ruins leftover just a couple of stone gate for witness, but one of the Buddha statue used for worship is original. But the environment is dirty, and bad smell stink come from the bats excretion who house the dark and tight space where the statue is enshrined.
Nice Temple, Well worth to visit. Be there around 9am, you might be alone. Walk there otherwise rent a bike.Ive heard about a policeman, maybe also in other places who asked you for money. Dont pay anything without a ticket. I entered the temple from the side, and somebody called me. I was busy with my camera and didnt reacted. If you go by Tuk Tuk ask them before if there is something to pay and if they give you a proper ticket.
famous praying temple among business people
Good place for touring and believe. There is a temple of God where you can pray for good health and happiness
So beautiful place for visit the old temple. I proudly that my nation make a lot of temples for the next generation.
Very beautiful place to visit.
Pretty interesting, although it was much smaller than was advertised, carvings were not well preserved, and there was a lot of litter inside the temple complex. This is what knocked it down 2 stars for me - if you are in Krong Kampong Cham, it is certainly worth a visit, but it is not worth a special trip if you are elsewhere.
Nokor Bachey temple Good place for visitors
Not dotting n given this place a status of temple is beyond regrettable in Google Maps. Outside of Angkor temple n its peers in Angkor complex, perhaps this one has the most Apsara more than any temples. Not so far from the town of Kompong Cham, this is a must visited place.

Nokor Bachey Pagoda/ CambodiaBuilded in 488-> 2561 now more then 2000 yearsTheres a lot of meaning about this palace .
My first time here, even a lot of time visiting Kampong Cham, this catch my eyes to stay on a calm place with olding statue and temple, feel so relax. Come here to see the pagoda and temple if you visit KC.
Should have been once in a lifetime, hopefully there will be more attention from the authority for this ancient temple. :(
Wat Nokor is an Angkorian temple turned into a modern Buddhist pagoda. Very interesting culturally and architecturally.
If you find yourself in Kompong Cham for whatever reason these temples are actually older than Angkor Wat itself and worth visiting. Some of the reliefs are just as impressive as Angkor but on a much smaller scale. Worth visiting if your in town to wander without the crowds and get a sense of the scale of the Khmer empire in the glory days.
Its small and in ruins, but some of the carvings are still well preserved and nice to view. This obivously wont draw international tourists just by itself, but if you are staying in Kampong Cham even for a few hours, grab a moto or tuk-tuk and come out and see it.
