Nobu - Restaurant in Mexico City, Mexico
Nobu in Mexico City
Description
Privilege
Nobu in Mexico City is disappointing, maybe because I know the standards of different countries and had big expectations.Starting from design and finishing with dessert. My favorite dish in this restaurant is a signature one, black cod in miso sous, and it was over sweeter than it usually is.In summary, the place feels cheap, with design, napkins under cocktail, with attention, never received a complete set of cutleries just a fork, with glasses for cocktails, presentation etc etc
MoreCAN I GET MORE STARS? this place was beyond my expectations, amazing, from the beginning to the end, we went several times and everytime was even better. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking to have a taste explosion.
MoreThe food and the service were great. This is a great place for a date
Good food
Food was good, service was trash (manager was fine).
Rude and unhelpful staff. Manager sat staring at his phone after I was sat and seemed bored and slightly irritated at his need to bring me a menu. The place in the st. regis has much better service.
MoreNot quite up to expectations if you’re used to Nobu locations in the US, but still worth going to if you want high end sushi.
MorePricy but wonderful! The tuna tataki was amazing!
Overpriced trash. No vibe. Whole place smelled like fish.
Loved it
People that serve tables are standing around for for health and simply doing nothing. It look like they are here because they have to be not because they love their job. Just looking at them you would think they just landed here from a different planet. Totally disengaged and disconnected from their work environment. My whole entire life I work in the customer service industry and if I can rate this place zero Stars I would.
MoreVery good sushi. Extensive menu. Exquisitely prepared dishes. Highly recommend.
Excellent taste, presentation, service. Plan $100-150 pp. Not quite as good as some of the Nobus, but certainly excellent.Unagi is tops. Sea bass is a must. Fried fish was very nice. Toro. Very nice. Not tops, but fatty, excellent texture. We had the omikase once here. We prefer to order what we know we like. See above.
MoreService is not good, is expensive and flavor is not bad but not great
Always pleased when I come to this nobu. The service is great, the food comes out quick and the quality of the food is amazing. The outdoor terrace is my favourite area to sit in, it’s a seen and be seen area.
MoreWhat a beautiful elegant restaurant. The music is great (a little too loud but good ). Great food every dish was a delight . Great place to meet up with friends. The waiters are excellent and take the time to explain each dish and super attentive . Fine dining at its best !
MoreMy husband and I have dined at various Nobu Restaurants in the world and Mexico City Polanco is the newest addition to our long list.We ordered a Bottle of Cava, Beer, Cocktails and loads of food :-)))For our Main Cowe had Kobe Beef and Japanese Wagyu Rib Eye and finished of with Dessert andCappucino. Our Server Gabrielle was great. All the staff friendly and professional
MoreGreat food but a lil pricey. I got charged a small fee for requesting another pair of chopsticks and soy sauce, but other than that cheap trick, experience was good.
MoreDisappointing. Expensive doesnt mean good.Only few things in the expensive menu are special. Otherwise flavors are too close to fast food.Gyosas were good. Black cod is good fish with terrible sweet sauce. Most disappointing was the cheesecake, it is basically some Philadelphia cheese on top of a shortbread cookie. Ice cream too sweet.
MoreIt’s very good, but I prefer the experience at Sushi Iwashi down the street.
Nobu Polanco is as excellent as ever. The salmón hummus, the black cod with miso, the oyster shooters, the tuna tartar, and the dessert sample were all amazing. The presentation, the service, the sanitary measures, made Nobu a memorable experience again. I can not wait to return!
MoreGood Taste, better reputation! Nobu honors the legacy of its name everywhere. It could be a little overprice for DF, but if you can and want go for a nice meal and try the mexican roll
MoreGreat fresh and natural fish and sushi
Take Australian Wagyu off the menu!!! Or just change the name. Only 1 type of Wagyu is Authentic and thats Japanese.
MorePortions are a joke. The sushi was bland and less than average. The truffle appetizer was good but again barely enough to leave a taste in your mouth. I do not recommend.
MoreComing from new york and having been to japan multiple times, Ive been to plenty of nice japanese restaurants. My bf and I went with the omakase, it was super disappointing. The restaurant ambiance and decor was nice, service was average, but the food was sub par. The omakase was an 8 course chefs choice. The first 6 dishes were overly dressed/soaked in sauce and very salty, the sushi rice was dry, I found fish bones in my tuna sashimi that was part of a salad and offered no apology when brought to attention, miso soup was one of the courses which is quite ridiculous, the tofu in the miso soup is a firmer and porous type of tofu rather than the usual silky soft tofu, last but not least, the chocolate lava cake was dry and not warm enough. The omakase was mxn 1585 pp, but I much rather have a taco for mxn 30 or less that gives me even more satisfaction.
MoreLove Nobu. This location is great. However, had a poor experience with my waiter. Still recommend!
MoreIt is not compared to the other Nobu restaurants around the world. There is work needed to be done here!
Moreexcellent food, great location in Polanco, good vibes as in every Nobu around the world, service ok but performance of the waiter wasnt constant from begging till end and his appearance wasnt as I expected would be. Coffee never arrived, waiting long for a bill.
MoreGreat food and service. Nice atmosphere for dinner and drinks with friends
Best Japanese restaurant in Mexico city..
Quality at its finest
Just delicious.
Food, presentation and ambience are flawless, sadly service is less than poor, waiters and maitre d act as if they own the place, very poor class. And they served me the worst old fashion ever.
MoreGreat service and excellent food on a very nice restaurant.
Very modern and cool! Very good sushi.... Recommend to all
Out of this world Japanese cuisine in a truly escapist surrounding.
Freggin awesomeness!
Awful service. Expensive and very small portions, asked for a glass of wine, waiter served us the most expensive he could find.
MoreThe miso soup inside the tasting menu were totally out of place with the delicacy of the other dishes that the chef sent. But even with this it was mystical experience of flavor. Totally to celebrate a special date.
MoreThe quality of the sushi was good the service was fine but to be honest Id rather go to Tori Tori better atmosphere in Polanco and a better meal in my opinion
MoreDelicius japanise food !!!
More for business meetings than for private relaxing time.commercial but ok
Great location, awesome atmosphere to hang out with friends and have cocktails and dinner. Pricey, but we all knew that, quality is on point. Worth it!
MorePoor quality , portions are a joke ... I order shrimps... Joke and overpriced
Excellent service and awesome food!
great food awfully expensive
The best culinary experience Ive had. The architecture of the space is mesmerizing only to be surpassed by the wonderfully flavored and well presented concept of the restaurant.
MoreThis place is beautiful and of course expensive. We opted to do an 8 course chefs pick. For the price we really were not impressed. The presentation was decent the flavors should have blended well together but were poorly executed. Dessert was the best course.
MoreYou cant miss this place if you are in Mexico City, on of the top 50 restaurants around the world, just let them guide you..!
