1 Pery Square, Georgian Quarter, Limerick, V94 EKP9, Ireland, Limerick
Overlooking People's Park in Limerick's Georgian quarter, this upscale hotel is steps from the Limerick City Gallery of Art.Classic, modern rooms, some with garden or park views, provide free Wi-Fi, satellite TV and bathrooms with rainfall showerheads; the suite adds a dining area and a lounge. There are also 4 period-style rooms featuring handcrafted brass beds and/or free-standing tubs.Breakfast is included. There's a fine dining restaurant, as well as 2 lounges with fireplaces offering drinks, light meals and afternoon tea. There's also an organic spa, a wine and artisan shop, and free parking.
Beautiful spot. Found it unexpectedly while walking around the corner from the peoples museum. Popped in for something to eat but unfortunately only tea/ coffee and scones was on offer until 1pm. This was 12.15pm, so we ordered a tea and a coffee. Cosy and relaxing atmosphere
My wife and I went for Afternoon Tea and we thoroughly enjoyed it, great staff and the place looks fabulous, furnishings are amazing, with beautiful views over the park. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable time there and looking forward to our next visit soon!
Disgraceful lunch. I got the vegetarian dish and my husband the sausages only to find out that the accompanying sauce (which was half of the dishwas the exact same tomato sauce straight from the can for both of us with the only difference that mine had chickpeas while my husband had chorizo in it. My chickpeas tasted no different than the one I buy in Lidl but at least I cook them properly while these were just poured out from the can and soaked in tomato sauce. The polenta loaf was tiny in proportion to the amount of tomato sauce: the dish was not balanced and I struggled to swallow spoons and spoons of pure tomato sauce with chickpeas. This was by far the most disgusting dish of my entire life. I couldn’t finish it nor my husband could. I really don’t understand how comes this place has a reputation. Awful.
One of the nicest hotels that I stayed in and the spa is a must. Staff is very friendly food is very good.
Had lunch food amazing but unfortunately had my lunch eaten before vegetables were served and only lukewarm. Had lunch in a beautifully decorated dining room
My fiance and I spent a night here last week and we absolutely loved it! The staff was so friendly and welcoming, the ambiance was the perfect blend of old classic charm & modern. We stayed in the Park Room, i highly recommend! Free parking was a wonderful bonus and wow, the location was amazing. We were in walking distance to the park (right across the street), bars, restaurants and all the things to see. Lastly the free breakfast.. wow, i was expecting some basic continental breakfast. Not at all! We had eggs benedict and a scramble with freshly squeezed OJ, coffee, tea and a mimosa (hey were on vacay!I will absolutely be staying here next time im back in Limerick!!
We went for dinner for the pigtown festival. The food was amazing, the staff where all knowledgeable and had a warm welcome. The atmosphere was fabulous and we where really happy with every aspect of our visit. The menu was 5*, food prepared beautifully and the drink pairing unmatched. We will definitely be visiting again soon 😊
Lovely hotel in Georgian quarter of limerick,...beautiful food,,☆☆☆☆☆Barrington street is lovely ....you can almost feel the history of the place.
Staff and decor great.disappointed no tea /coffee making facilities in room expensive for 1 person for 1 night €275
Lovely hotel, great location. Rooms spotless and staff very helpful and accommodating. Dinner and breakfast was delicious
Very relaxing evening and night spent hereService was excellent and reception so helpfull on best places to go and best way to get there. Will be back.
I loved the delicious food, friendly, interesting staff, ambience and the picture postcard views of the beautiful Georgian doorways through the windows as we had lunch. It is one of my favourite places for lunch or coffee in Limerick.
The staff working at this are the companys crown jewel. Rarely have I encountered such an extraordinarily group of people all working together to make sure that guests are taken care of 100%. From check-in to check-out the people here are flawless. Róisín (I think that was her name - tall, thin ladywho appeared to be in charge the breakfast room is the absolute star of the show. Attentive but not intrusive, welcoming and a bit of craic - what more could you ask for?The Russell Room was perfect for our 2-night stay. Comfortable bed, spotlessly clean, great shower pressure in the large bathroom and the best air-con that I have ever experienced in an Irish hotel room.Breakfast is cooked to order and sourced from local ingredients, superb - apparently the breads are made on-site every day! Get the coffee and hazelnut bread - outstanding. There were one or two things about our stay that were slightly irksome; The parking situation is not great. Its a small car park where its first come first served - thats fine except I arrived early and was told that I could not check-in so I paid for parking on the street. When I could finally check-in, having waited around for an hour, I was told that the car park was now full due to people checking-in early. At no point did I see anyone else check-in. I ended up having to put my car in a local high-rise parking lot (which added €40 to the €450 cost of our 2-night stay).Secondly - dinner in the "restaurant" wasnt great. The starter courses were both poor, the entrees were fair (mine - lamb over cookedto decent (my wifes feather blade of beef), sides of fries for an extra €5 werent cooked through. Desserts were also poor. This possibly might be down to the hotel hosting a wedding in the main restaurant (Sashthus guests having to eat dinner in the bar/lounge area and the kitchen being slightly overwhelmed. Perhaps, I dont know but it was not the great meal that I had looked forward to from other reviews. Those gripes aside - would I stay here again? Yes, I certainly would but I would not eat dinner in the restaurant.
Beautiful experience to stay here. Personal and quality service. Nicest staff you could meet. Great location. Food delicious. Would highly recommend.
Love this hidden gem beautiful and clean rooms comfy bed and the food and staff were excellent
I booked in this morning for a facial,The ladies were just so lovely could not have been nicer, such a relaxing facial, really enjoyed it and will definitely be going back soon 🥰
I just spent a wonderful afternoon with a super therapist, Christine. The Baroness is a great package and Christine is just expert in its delivery. I floated out the door and I cannot wait to go back!
Lovely atmospheric place with great staff. But expensive - prices are already high enough not to merit a charge for the delivery of room service.
Service was fantastic, food was amazing. The room was a little shabby. Bed was really comfortable.
Staff extremely friendly and welcoming.Great Breakfast.
Simply wonderful. Excellent food, excellent service/staff and the building, the decor is just from another era. Classy not sassy. Enjoy.
Had lunch there great food excellent staff so friendly we will return soon
Beautiful Georgian building in the heart of city . Our room was gorgeous overlooking the peoples park. Great service with friendly staff.I could stay here indefinitely 😀
Super staff so friendly. Especially the gentleman on reception. Food was excellent. Really nice bar. Breakfast was top class. 👌
I don’t usually write reviews but my stay at No. 1 was so enjoyable and the staff so attentive that it’s deserving of one! The period room overlooking Pery square is so gorgeous and the lady working at front of house was so accommodating. The spa is also so divine and a real haven in the city. Such a great addition to limerick
all the staffs are very friendly, so helpful and kind. The room we stayed was very comfortable. The only think is the coffe is a bit weak. It could be a bit stronger
Staff were the best I’ve experienced to date. Real old style customer service that could not be equaled .Food was superb and the period room was fantastic
Beautifully decorated with sympathy to its age. The staff were second to none. The spa was beautiful. Loved everything about the place and we will be back.
The hotel was lovely, with extremely friendly and attentive staff. Our period room was spacious and comfortable, though unfortunately our bed had two single mattresses pushed together, which was disappointing in such a luxury destination hotel. My only other issue was that when booking the hotel, there was a full vegan/vegetarian menu available. When we arrived at dinner however, this menu was no longer available, and I think there was some confusion around what vegetarians can eat, as opposed to vegans. The staff were very helpful and attentive though, so perhaps this is something management need to look at. Overall a very enjoyable experience.
My husband & I are just back from a night away in No. 1 Perry Square, to say I’m disappointed is an understatement. I first stayed here in September 2021 with my daughter & it was an amazing dining experience, absolutely no complaints whatsoever. When I returned from that trip I naturally told all my friends about our great experience. As a result of that one of my friends booked a night in December for herself & her daughter to celebrate her 21st. A few days before they were due to go she received a phone message from the hotel to say the restaurant wouldn’t be open on the night they were going to be there but instead they were offering them a pizza or cheeseboard!!! When she told me that I was shocked because I would have thought the whole dining experience was what this hotel was really good at. She ended up changing the night just so they could have a nice dinner on their stay. Our experience last night was very disappointing, we were told out meal would be in the Long Room, the bar which didn’t impress me however there wasn’t much we could do. Our meal was very much below par, not a huge variety on the menu & what we got wasn’t hot, lukewarm was more like it. Our breakfast this morning was lovely as was the service which was the same as the time we stayed in September. Were we were checking out I told the receptionist our disappointment at having to have our meal in the bar rather than the restaurant. Another staff member arrived, manager I’m assuming as she took over the conversation. She told us they had a group that had taking the restaurant for the night & when I said we should have been told before we arrived that this was the case & have been giving an opportunity to change out date. She didn’t seem to care one way or the other. As my husband pointed out those people were passing our table as we were having our meal, going in & out which shouldn’t have been the case.We paid over 300 euro for our night stay, evening meal & breakfast which isn’t cheap & I don’t feel it was good enough. Needless to say we won’t be returning. Whatever happened here between September & now needs to be rectified sooner rather than later. Just to say the staff that we encountered were lovely & congratulations to them all.
Booked lunch for 3 on Valentine’s Day. Restaurant were aware that there were two coeliacs in the party. Little or no choice for them. Eg two gf bread slices were offered in lieu of a burger bun. Burgers were overcooked and my wife’s Hake was served with a made up sauce in lieu of the crumb. The fries were cold and served late. Would not recommend for lunch and certainly not for coeliacs. GF products are readily available and surely the kitchen staff could make GF bread and pastries. You need to do a lot better.
Loved this hotel. Loved the decor. Lovely rooms. However, what sets this hotel apart from others I have been in, is the staff. The two ladies on reception are very friendly and attentive. The bar staff are very good. Also the staff serving the evening meal are friendly and attentive. The food in the restaurant is excellent. I must compliment the lady who serves the breakfast, for special praise. I would certainly love to come back here again and would highly recommend a stay here
I had a wonderful experience in the spa today and a huge thank you to Grace for the massage, absolutely amazing at her job and such a kind and lovely person to deal with, thank you so so much Grace! I highly recommend it 👌
Most amazing feta cheese starter, still dreaming about it. Beautiful place with knowledgeable and tentative staff and of course, the chef! Lovely birthday treat. ♡
Enjoyable food, nice presentation and selection. Small bit pricey if Im honest.Gary the waiter was a gentleman, couldnt have been more helpful and polite. Wish every waiter was well trained and polite.
A super stay. Staff are amazing 👏. So lovely. Couldnt speak highly enough of them. Beautiful location. Had dinner there, and funnily the only disappointment. Had fois gras terrine, which was OK, but sadly the duck was tough as an old boot, couldnt get my knife through it. A lovely young fella wasnt quite sure of covid regulations on table numbers, nearly ended up on 2 tables for 6 adults and 1 child. But a super guy called Seamus rescued us. He lade lovely cocktails too. Forgot to ask for WiFi code in reception and no sign of it in the bedroom meant to say it to them. Super stay though. Great team.
Stayed in the beautiful Park Room in the Main House thanks to a very generous upgrade upon arrival. What a treat! The staff are top class here, couldnt do enough for you. Great location in the centre of the city. Would highly recommend.
Love it. Didnt get to stay. But had a fabulous meal. Best restaurant in limerick. Great setting. Flavours and great staff. 100% professional all round.
The staff, the staff and the staff! The hotel is charming, every lil detail thought out carefully but the staff is the cherry on top! We only stayed one night to break up our trip back to Dublin from Killarney. We wished we had stayed longer! We stayed in a period room the Vanderkiste (pics are onlinewhich is beautiful. I enjoyed the claw foot tub and the homemade sea salts they had waiting. The decor is fabulous; the touch of old with colorful wallpapers and stunning mirrors that give an elegance throughout are just a few things this hotel has to offer. Now the FOOD, we travel quite a bit, my partner in crime and has owned fine dining restaurants and nightclubs that people still talk about and he was just impressed with every morsel that was served to us! The chef is from Limerick (I askedand what an amazing combination of flavors he put together from the seaweed butter with the fresh baked bread to the sweet goat cheese for dessert! Our favorite thing was the prawn dumpling which should be a stand alone app or a meal because we both wanted more. The duck was superb and the hake was brilliant! Breakfast was just as delicious! Just a beautiful and special place!
Spa, dinner and B&B Sparkle in the City experience was incredible. From our check in to our check out we felt like queens. Damien in reception was great in welcoming us and saying goodbye. Naomi in the spa treated me to such a great full body massage and staying the the thermal suites until our room was ready was great. Checking into our beautiful spacious room in our spa robes left us feeling very much at home. Dining in Peru Square is an experience. The 3 course dinner in the intimate Sash dining room with great service and delicious food. Breakfast with a selection of fresh bakes and the option to get half and half breakfast was great as I was torn between the poached eggs and the French toast. I will definitely be back again and am very much looking forward to it! A perfect getaway for anyway looking to escape normal life and be treated like royalty with the option of walking into the city centre of limerick within 5min!
We celebrated our wedding in No one Pery square in July - Patricia and her team were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. From the moment we spoke to Patricia - we knew No. 1 Pery square was for us- the beautiful Georgian house- elegant decor, wonderful food, warm welcome! The whole experience planning a wedding was made super straight forward by the team; their calm , professional and friendly manner. Patricia and the team went over and above to make our day truly special and perfect! No 1 Pery square is a truly beautiful space and we feel so blessed we got to experience our wedding day in the beautiful setting and garden. The food, drinks and hospitality was amazing! This is an amazing special place and I would highly recommend to anyone!Thank you for sharing in our special day! We can’t wait to visit again!
Spa had a lovely relaxing vibe as soon as the elevator doors open. Receptionist was so friendly and nice and really went out of her way to help you with anything. Treatments were very therapeutic. We went for the Lord and Ladies package and were not disappointed.
Beautiful Georgian boutique hotel. Absolutely lovely from start to finish. Attended a wedding and spent 2 nights. Food is delicious and all the staff are wonderful. Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend.
Excellent personal service second to none. Food and cocktails were exceptional. A real gem.
Went with a group of girls for the weekend and it was simply excellent. The hotel is gorgeous, the food also but it is the staff that really stand out. They couldn’t do enough to make our stay the best it could possibly be. Damien on front desk and Christine in the spa went out of their way to accommodate us and make sure we got the very best out of our stay. All the little touches and attention to detail were top class. We had the best weekend there and would love to be going back again. Highly recommend!
Far exceeded our expectations!Everything about this hotel is better than you expect. Unreal breakfast- (french toast all the way)Our room was off the charts stunning and the staff are an absolute dream. Make sure you meet Gary, he works in the restaurant and goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and assures your every need is met. Also Julia on reception is beyond lovely. Cant wait to go back!
Amazing boutique Hotel in Limerick city. Wonderful staff, delightful rooms, excellent location, delicious food and abundant welcomes. I love this hotel for many reasons and thoroughly recommend to the reader.
I had afternoon tea with my niece. It was a return visit for us. It was so lovely we were spoilt and they made her feel. Like a princess. Such a beautiful place and quality off the food is always top class. The staff are amazing you feel like an old friend as soon as you walk through the door
Beautiful boutique upmarket hotel. The bar on the ground floor has a really interesting cocktail menu, table service and a quiet relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant us busy so reservations are recommended. The seasonal menu is interesting and change a regularly. Definitely worth a stop if you are in Limerick.
Very nice small hotel. Best breakfast Ive ever had in a hotel. Room quite small. Two of us had dinner, I loved my entire meal but my partner who opted for different options didnt enjoy his as much. Overall would definitely recommend. Also brilliantly convenient for Limerick city centre and quiet location.
