No. 51 - Restaurant in Bristol, United Kingdom
Very nice club with great music but it has always long queue on Saturdays!
Great music , fair drink prices and lovley staff .Good vibes all round
Really enjoyable and welcoming atmosphere with everyone seeming to relish that they were having an intimate evening on each table but bouyed by the sense of sharing a cleverly constructed area that felt like a night of old before Covid 19. Nice one No. 51!!
Cant believe we havent been to this garden sooner. Amazing food highly recommend!!
A real gem of a find. Such lovely staff, food was delicious, prices were good and more importantly,we felt safe.Really look forward to returning...hopefully soon
The staff were brilliant, really friendly, and handling the new Covid situation really well. The cauliflower burger was superb. The outside seating area is great. We moved inside to eat our food - really cosy. A great night
Staff were really nice, lots of hand sanitizer about, and most importantly the beer and pizza was good :)
I quite like the place becasue of ancient kind of theme and nice sitting arrangement for different kind of crowd. They offer Drink, Food and als have a garden outside.A good place for vegan or vegetarian as well.Ambiance looks fresh becasue of fresh flowers they place on tables. They also have some special items on daily basis which they keep changing.I love French Fries and Sticky Toffee Pudding over here and are the must try items if you are visiting the place.
Really love the pizzas here, always the spicy chicken one for me! well priced. Upstairs has a good cosy feel and good for catching up with friends and family. Decent beer on tap, not too expensive
I had the Cajun spiced chicken burger. It was quite nice but really needed more spice. The sticky toffee pudding is one to be avoided unfortunately . The texture was claggy and it lacked flavour, just sweet. The restaurant is really just a pub with an eating room upstairs with loud music that makes conversation difficult. Sorry guys but it failed to impress. The staff were helpful and worked hard with the large party that I was with.
We ordered 2 beers, and one of them was definitely smaller as you can see on the picture. Also, the light were too flashy
Fantastic pizzas with a good choice of vegetarian options freshly made and generally a fast service on a weekday evening. Also a wide selection of Pukka teas, plus standard selection barista of coffees which is great if you dont want to drink alcohol.
The pizzas were good and cheap and prepared very quickly. The dance floor was also packed with people having a good time by the time it was night. Definitely come here.
Upon arrival the door man immediately tried to deceive us into thinking that the wash room facilities were out of order. Upon entering we investigated this matter and confirmed our suspicions that this was infact false. The establishment itself fits the Bristol culture of being both simultaneously trashed and trendy. The bar staff were friendly and the smoking area on the second floor is an enormous fire hazard. The party lasted long into the night and after leaving we were picked up by an Uber driver who recklessly drove us home at great speed through the back streets of Bristol.I conclude this evening with a rating of 5/5 despite the numerous hazards that we endured. As Oscar Wilde famously said: "One must risk it if he is to receive a chocolate biscuit".
Omg the fooood!! Its to die for, the menu is amazingly good with so much on offer and the prices are shocking but in a good way the quality of the food is top notch so you expect to pay through the nose but when it comes time to pay you have to check twice as surely the meal wasnt this cheap? The staff are friendly and great fun to talk to, its an open and airy place with a relaxed atmosphere and the booze is wet and strong so whats not to love? Well worth a visit especially for a cheap well cooked meal for two
Drinks are a bit pricey, but Pizzas are very tasty. Nice place, never had any trouble.
Excellent woodfired pizzas in the upstairs dining room. Laid back and comfortable. Nice price too.
Awesome food and a nice location, diverse crowd but very poor staff
Decent enough bar that puts on DJs and occasional live music. Larger outside seating / smoking area than most places. Can get heaving on a Friday or Saturday night (especially as floorspace is limitedso its sometimes difficult to dance or get a drink.
Grubby and dirty. Looks good from outside but inside it is really a very average kind of bar. Didnt help that the staff dont seem to have grasped the concept of customer service. They seemed more interested in chatting to each other and cleaning glasses than serving customers.
Good music and cosy club with nice pizza. A bit expensive for the quality dough. They have an offer before 7p.m that it is very good for having pizza there.
A bit quiet but I was in after work on a Tuesday so wasnt expecting a party. Staff were friendly and helpful, the Cornish IPA on keg was great, the food was superb (Cajun Chicken saladand the music was 70s Soul. Cant fault it!
Very nice bar and pizzeria in the heart of Stokes Croft. If it looks quiet, head upstairs and theres the restaurant area with loads of seats. Looks great inside and the oven-fired pizza is very tasty and reasonably priced. Note the upstairs bar is quite small so limited taps.
Tuesday 5th February at 9 pm. Worst bartender ever (the boy). Horrible costumer service, its annoying, the place is beautiful but only because of that, I would never go back.
Bartender is very chill on the Sunday night, not busy at all though so probably a nice relaxedish (it is still a club/bar). Cocktails are interesting, a few tequila based ones. They also have a good variety of spirits and pretty much all the traditional alcohol you would find in a club/pub on stokes croft.
I have mixed feelings about this place. Its got a great outside area for the summer and overall it seems nice enough, however the staff quite often seem disinterested and Ive had problems with the quality of the drinks a few times.Never eaten here.
Great mix of music, good amount of space to dance, chill and sit, good choice of drinks. Would recommend for a chilled and fun evening!
Good pizzas. They have no Vegan on the menu but they happily will swap the cheese for extra veggies. Coming back soon
The best chicken burger my mates ever had and hes had a few. My pizza was the Posh sausage AMAZING washed down with local Bristol beer
Good music, reasonable price for drinks. Door staff are very hot on identification so dont forget to prove your age!
Great staff, good garden, nice food. Pizza are light and tasty, and the salads hearty, served with thin garlic pizza slices. The garden gets a sliver of sun in the back corner, and it’s a decent spot for a relaxed drink. Gets busy late into the night.
Quite surprised by this pizza! Not exactly particular to the, kinda dry dough and very crispy type. But it really works here. Flavours were good (I wont go much further into it, as we will probably order different things). But, if the doughs the talking point: its not what Id expect to be good, but it really is. Does that make sense ;)?
Relaxed atmosphere and really good pizza. Theres a bar, restaurant area and sheltered beer garden.
Someone stole my purse somewhere in Bristol and paid with my credit card at this bar. I called the bar serveral times, saying that I was abroad, with no credit card, no phone, no passeport and giving them the exact time of the transaction. The staff told me that they would take a look at the CCTVs video and that they would call me back asap. They did not call me back. I called them again and they told me they were going to call me back within 5 min. No call one hour later and when I called later on, they were rude and did not even wanted to have a look at the CCTV as they promised me in the beginning. Rude people and hypocrite!
Cant comment on the bar downstairs but I enjoyed the restaurant upstairs. Very, very nice pizza. Good choices of toppings, too. I have been twice and everyone in our party rated it highly both times. It can be a bit loud in there and its not a fancy place by any means, but then why would it be in Stokes Croft!
Awesome vegetarian pizza and burgers. Also, the garlic & herb bread is to die for. All that for a reasonable price. A veggie pizza, a veggie burger and garlic bread all came to £20. The restaurant area is upstairs, stairs are on the far side of the dance floor as you walk in.
The outside terrace is nice on a summer evening and the pizza is good but the bar service can be incredibly slow. I had the impression the staff felt like their top priority was to chat among themselves and faff around rather than serve drinks. Still, a nice enough venue.
Upstairs area has a very lounge-y atmosphere with character and downstairs is more set up for dance and music. Food is very nice and reasonably priced (recommend the sweet potato chips). Drinks are a bit expensive but worth it for this really nice bar.
Friendly bar with good service. Serves pizza, burgers and salad. Beer garden makes for a good summers day after. Seating is good but decor could be improved.
Nice selection of drinks at fairly reasonable prices. The food is also good although the quality doesnt quite match the prices but if there are deals on (check wrigglethen its well worth a visit.
I often visit for lunch during the week. Pizza arrives very quickly and is superb. Lunchtime meal deal gets you a pizza and a pint for under £10. Gets very busy from 1pm onwards so it pays to get there a bit earlier as a queue builds up at the (very smallbar.
First delivery they cut my pizza like a hashtag, i was left with the middle egg on bread. Who cuts pizza like that .. was he born in a cave? Just got my second a few months later and it didnt come with the extras i asked for. Not only that but my girlfriends pizza could only be described as leaves on pizza bread, and loads of leaves. It was a side salad on top. They did refund the missing items but still 2 unhappy delivers. In my opinion they have great ingredients but not great recipes.
Came here looking for a place to eat and drink without a booking on a Saturday night. This place ticked all the boxes with cozy candlelit tables, friendly staff, and some of the best pizza and sweet potato fries weve ever had!
Excellent pizza and drinks. Always end up sitting outside as more space and better phone reception.
Good pub in the heart of Stokes Croft. Has the best pizza in the area. Very nice upstairs seating area and back garden.
Good pizza menu with great looking burgers!Really good place to meet up for something to eat and drink!
Great food here a little unexpectedly, pizza and burgers are well cooked, wedges are crispy (much better than most). Theyve recently had a face lift and change the stairs around at the back which is confusing
Whilst this venue has nice areas upstairs & outside, & the occasional helpful staff member, we will definitely not be going back!Ive had 3 events here, and each time, Ive had to fight for the space for my group, nothing having been prepared for us, despite meetings (!and phone calls. Eventually this worked out on the 1st 2 occasions, but not the last time! This time, the bar owners daughter/manager actually verbally insulted me, both to my face, and behind my back! This is unheard of when Im bringing 25-45 paying customers, regularly, to a venue that none of them have been to before! This area of Stokes Croft also scared off a few of my members. Until now, I hadnt thought that the pub reflected the areas potential sketchiness. Its a shame that their attitude keeps Stokes Croft in bad repute. One of my group members said this: Giving some people power is like giving a monkey a machine gun.Though this insults the sensitivity of a monkey.
We came here for Sunday dinner, which was well cooked with a good amount of food. Decor is nice, staff were very latent m pleasant. Would definitely go again.
Really cool place, Ive been to some great events held here with a really good party vibe, massive diverse mix of people that go here. Food is also great! Nice smoking area out back which allows you to kick back and relax with friends.
