French-inspired Sunday brunch & cocktails served in a playful lounge with edgy, old-world decor.
No Jealousy in Hollywood
Description
Privilege
Ideal for a bachelor party
Kinda trashy tbh
After paying $100 entry for a hip hop club on Friday night I was kickedOut of the club I spun a bottle to read the label which showed Pampero rum to demonstrate to the bartender that she did have better rum that Bacardi I was then rudely accused by security for attempting to steal a bottle with no verification from people immediately around. While I calmly explained situation outside I was unjustly ignored and told that the club would close soon anyway. A few questions i would like you to consider. Why would I try to steal a bottle after paying $100 Entry fee? As we say in Australia “Not Happy Jan!🤬” PS: after paying $100 cash entry serving customers in paper cups the ingredients for a rum and coke so the customer has to mix it themselves is soooo cheap and bad for the environment🤣
MoreMy first ever lounge area. Most of the drinking places Ive been to are more bars, pubs, or breweries, but this high class atmosphere for a decent price is worth it. You can easily carry a conversation here, and it feels really nice.
MoreHad a drink thrown on me around 1:55am by someone leaving and security literally laughed in my face as I told them and pointed him out, saying “oh watch out, she’s angry”. Literal assault and they laughed in my face. Couldn’t pay me to come back.
MoreFun place
Rendezvous, the vibes is fine but customer service is below zero. We waited 45mins for our bottle service
MoreTooyound of a crowd for me. I felt like a granny. Lol. Great music. OverpricedDrinks
MoreReally nice and fancy place. You have a mix of business casual I super dressy individuals. Their wine and beer selection is great. What is even better, is their reservations for small/medium size groups. This is the perfect spot for a small celebration or a work group event.I have even seen them serve nice plates to the groups that are there.Definitely a good place and very hip- and yes a perfect location !
MoreI never been to Liaison, i have not heard of it, but I now realize it is new Les Deux, I went there last night and it was crazy for us still being in a pandemic. A lot of different people and it was a hip hop nightthe first DJ was really good! it was some asian girl. Beckie Joon. The music was pretty good allnight but the drinks were so expensive! $21 for one drink????too expensive but nice
MoreNot a black friendly environment at all. The Bouncer and promoter clearly did not want us there and tried to charge us $120 to get into the club. Their loss but would not recommend.
MoreBest night I’ve had in a long time, ask for Joanna and she’ll make your night memorable
MoreIts unbelievable how a simple tenant out of parking lot can be transformed into a Aladin lounge. Beautiful belly/snake dancer with a fabulous Dj. Enjoy numerous types of small dishes and desserts. Come early,, seating has a long wait on weakeneds.
MoreReally dope event space!
Every sunday is lit. Up beat music, great bar and staff. Highly recomend for crowds who wanna have a good time. No drama perfect evening with friends😁
More#1 Sunday Brunch Party in town, no other can compare!! This is better than Vegas and its in LA
MoreWas here for their NYE event and I had an absolute blast! Very friendly hosts in the front and even more friendly VIP table hosts. Great music, great crowd and not overly crowded. I was skeptical at first but definitely want to come back for a brunch party soon! Loved starting 2020 at this spot with friends!
MoreI attended a party here and I dont see myself ever coming back. The bartender didnt know how to make basic drinks, lied to my face about having certain ingredients for said drinks, and I got food poisoning from their appetizers.
MoreI came here for Halloween party Oct 26th...awesome decor and music ..lots of security guards here to keep this place in tact .. unlimited drink was the bomb ..love It!! Only bum out was this place didnt serve popcorns or crepes as mention ok flyers or party favors ..other than that everything was great
MoreWe went here for a bat mitzvah, so it may be a bit different experience than people are looking for. As this venue went, it was awesome. Delicious food, great dance floor, good bar.... All great.
MoreIts a small space considering how many people go there on Sundays but its still ALWAYS a great time
MoreNice set up and dance floor. Customer service at the bar was great.
Great atmosphere! The server was very attentive.
Just the best brunch on sundays! Party level 10
This is such a cute little spot. We came here for an event and had a blast. Service was great and the location is right in the center of hollywood. I think for a bday or event this is a good spot. Hope we can make it back soon!
MoreI was a DJ at this venue last weekend. It’s a cool spot in Hollywood. The crew was awesome. They were really friendly and easy to work with. Parking is right outside the venue. Hopefully I can go back for another event.-DJ Joe Khoury
MoreNice layout and cool place. Was here for a private party and had a great time
Had our holiday party here.. impressively cute venue tucked neatly in Hollywood. The bartenders were great.. the hors doeuvres were tasty. There are plenty of parking lots.. but the drinks are heavy so Uber.
MoreAmazing sensory overload of music food drinks and beautiful people.
Very cool place for drinks, quick bites and dancing. Not visible from the street, must enter through parking lot.
MoreGreat staff, bartenders and great venue space! We did buffet style dinner and it was amazing!
MoreGreat nightclub, music is always loud and its packed like 405 during rush hour on an average night
MoreCool huge venue. Nice people and cool mothers day party with sambal dancers
Rude staff, overpriced drinks, and lack luster entertainment.
Very,Very over rated and an absolute joke of a wanna be Vegas club. The staff, management and promoters like Kris Moreno treat the females like they are property. This club is over priced, over rated and the staff has no class. My party of 9 girls thought it was an extremely poor club environment. Please dont fall for the hype. Extremely disappointed. Two thumbs down. Response to the owner 5/3/2018. If you truly are the owner I guarantee you would accept responsiblity of your establishments poor customer service. Im perplexed at your lack of care or commitment to improve your establishment. Ultimately, your lack of concern for your customers will win the day. I dont want others to waste their money on an establishment who only values their money and not the customer.
MoreBecause Google Reviews wont allow me to respond directly to the owner, I am responding here.Hello,I appreciate your response. However, your response is exactly what the issue is. The issue is that Liaison has become 100% focused on profit and there is zero customer service in any of your personal interactions, emails, and responses on social media. An issue was brought to your attention when you had nine guests at your lounge who were referred to you by a promoter. We had reserved a $300 punch bowl and you could have easily allowed us to sit at the table we were promised. Instead of taking steps to resolve the issue, you told us, "If the promoter doesnt show, the girls cant come." Secondly, your staff was extremely rude with your customers, and thirdly, you had no response in dealing with the promoter so that this does not arise in the future. The real issue is that all you are concerned about is money and you have no concern for customer service at all. The fact that you deleted our conversations on IG, blocked me, and now are having your Event Manager, Sarah Hoston write Yelp reviews only reiterates my point.
MoreI first came to Liaison when it opened about a year and a half ago and it seems that ever since it began hosting its "Instagram worthy" Sunday brunch, its customer service has become nonexistent. Our party of nine girls reserved a table and punch bowl for Liaisons Sunday Brunch through their VIP Promoter, Kris Moreno. Upon our arrival, Liaisons doorman, Daniel, told us that Kris was on his way and that our table would be ready "in about 20 minutes." When Kris had still not arrived 45 minutes later, we told Daniel, who responded with, "I know you girls are used to getting what you want, but I dont have time for this." The owner also did not care that her own promoter stood us up or that their own doorman lied to us about our table. My friends birthday was ruined and her response was, "Kris works throughout LA and Orange County and we cannot hold him accountable."So be sure to come here with your friends if youd like to be treated as insignificant and be in a bad mood the rest of the day. This establishment is just a sad version of LAVO Brunch - but with horrible customer service and equally bad class!
MoreHorrible Service!!! From the bar to the seating!! I attended a Gym anniversary party, and me & my guest were not allowed to sit in any tables, we were redirected to the front entrance host to be seated at a table. The hosts told us to go back inside and check in 15mins later. We never were given a table, paid $40 for 2 drinks, I will never go back again!!!
MoreWorst experience. Charged me almost a thousand dollars and the tab was 300. Food took 2 hours and they never explained policy of charging one card only!
MoreDONT GO HERE. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I had a reservation this past Friday for MY BIRTHDAY for a party of 12. I showed up with 12 guests ready to go, and the parking guy let me know that no one showed up to work at Liaison today. I tried calling and emailing, and no one picked up and I wasnt even able to leave a message...It was not only embarrassing for my guests, but extremely frustrating, as it was so difficult finding an alternate location for 12 people on ALL STAR WEEKEND. The worst part is that I got a confirmation the NIGHT BEFORE....what went wrong within 24 hours? Nothing, actually...they were actively posting on their Instagram account...So frustrating. They manage their reservations thru their website, which redirects you to Yelp reservations. Why cant you manage your Yelp account better? If youre going to be shut down for a night, LET PEOPLE KNOW. I have reached out to various numbers, emails, even Instagram to talk to a manager and have yet to hear back. Just want to let more people know about this embarrassment of an establishment....
MoreIncredibly disappointed with this sad excuse of a restaurant/lounge. We showed up here with 12 people after making a reservation a week prior (and receiving a confirmation email the night beforeonly to find that the place was completely shut down with not a single person in sight. The gentleman at valet let us know that nobody showed up and the establishment was closed, so there we were stranded with 12 people at 8:30 pm in Hollywood with no dinner reservations (during NBA All-Star Weekend). This was terribly upsetting as it was my friends birthday and there were a few people who had driven from Orange County and San Diego to attend and we were left scrambling to find a last minute location that would accommodate such a large party. The management here is beyond terrible -- no response to emails and might as well not even have a phone because it goes straight to an automated message which does not allow you to leave a voicemail. While I dont know the exact reasoning as to why it was closed that night, Liaison had a week to contact us and let us know. There surely must have been one person who had seen that reservation come thru. Awful. Just awful.
More4.5 stars?!?!?! This place deserves 0 stars! But since there isn’t an option for that I will settle for 1 star! Rated solely on service…. Why? We weren’t given the opportunity to view the venue, try the drinks/food, enjoy the club or experience the service! This past Friday was my friend’s birthday and she made a reservation 12 days before. Most places will do a follow up call to confirm the details of large parties, but crickets…. Her e-confirmation didn’t even come until the day of….. We show up on time at 9 PM and couldn’t find the entrance, so we asked the parking attendant who shared that he believed the venue was closed. He said that he didn’t see any employees show up for work.A few days prior to Friday, my friend called their contact # listed online to confirm the details and was always sent straight to voicemail. Day of the event, she still was sent to a voicemail. On a Friday night, do you know hard it is to find a venue last minute to accommodate a party of 12?! We ended up going to Next Door Lounge (shout out for being so accommodating).I wouldn’t waste my time making reservations or even giving them my business….
MoreI was here for a holiday party, and it was breathtaking! There is a huge bar right as you walk in, an open retractable ceiling, and a gorgeous back patio. The service was excellent as well. One of the cocktail waitresses passing food remembered me and my food allergies. She was attentive in finding me and helping me find some finger food for me to eat. Great service!
MoreEnjoyed a nice brunch here. Love the wood interior, bartenders were fairly punctual and were super friendly.
MoreVery nice Lounge. Great decor, loved the host and free food samples.
Apparently the liaison management dont reply/comment on reviews but what happened to a couple of friends and I was so disrespectful and outrageous that I had to share it with everyone. So it started out as us deciding to go to this establishment on a Sunday afternoon, we called the front desk and were there at 6pm with a total of 3 guys and 2 girls. Walked to the front there were approx 30 people in the line.So we thought oh well its LA and its understandable. 20 mins goes by half the line goes in we are in the front and nobody even acknowledges us. We noticed a few bouncers and a few security guards. But there was one person that stood out.A white person with a long beard and a necklace of gold. His hair and beard color was little orange.5 mins goes by. Security guard walks over to us (its now been 40 mins 3 guys at the line with nobody in sight).Security says to us " 50 per person" we said OK fine as we had people from out of town. Then he goes back to the same orange haired individual and tells him something.I overheard him say something about middle eastern but didnt really looked into it. I mean whos going to be like that. 20 mins goes by nobody was saying anything and we had had it we confronted the guy and the conversation went exactly like this.Me: "Excuse me?"Orange haired long beard front promoter: WHAT?Me: weve been waiting here for an hour are we doing to get in?Promoter: NOMe: Why?Promoter: We dont let in people we dont like.As we walked away from him in shock a few people also noticed this action, I am not saying it was racist but it sure looked and felt like it.Accumulatively we have lived in Hollywood for 25 years. First time ever we have anything to this extend.I would like to let the management and the people that visit this establishment know a few things.1. Racism is Alive.2. You may see things on the news and CNN but if you like to see it live in LA. Visit Liaison in Hollywood.3. The management should be ashamed of its principal.I am offended but the whole thing does not worth sweating about, racism is alive as we witnessed recently and it should be fought against but people are smart and thankfully racism does not prevail. I believe by letting everyone know this is exactly how it went down people can make better decisions on supporting such an establishment.Thanks.
MoreThe space itself was great, really nice atmosphere an drink service.
Pleasantly surprised!Parking can be sketchy (LA), but its worth it!Beautiful and roomy place but does get packed 👍 Came for a Brazilian festival 😍🇧🇷
MoreThis is a beautiful place. The atmosphere and people are simply GORGEOUS. #popstixx
