Nine Times Preserve in Greenville
Description
Privilege
One of our go-to locations for bird watching.
Have fun watching Kentucky warblers and enjoy the other warblers and enjoyed all the beautiful wild flowers that are growing right now.
MorePretty nice area for a hike with multiple trails. Better to go when on the dry side as it can get muddy. Also, lots of elevation changes here so be prepared.
MoreLived for 30 years in the Upstate, n,ever new of NINE TIMES PRESERVEWell worth the time to visit there.
MoreGreat spot for exploring. Lots of rocks and crannies!! Loved it!

Wonderful! Beautiful view
Excellent trails but no facilities. Good for a short hike and very clean.
A great hike. Not for the beginner.. a blend of trails, inclines & rocks.
Beautiful area, off the beaten trail so there are not many visitors!

Wonderful place to see spring wild flowers .
A wonderful preserve with many special plants. The two main trails are moderately difficult.

Beautiful drive, peaceful hiking trails and creeks. Just a lovely little place!
Beautiful area
Nine Times Preserve, located above Pickens, South Carolina, is a great place for a moderate hike. It is located along the Eastatoee Creek just south of scenic Highway 11. There are a couple smaller creeks along the way, with a smaller waterfall. The trail has a few nice climbs and descents, which makes it a decent workout. There a few parking areas and three separate sections that you can hike.
MoreNine Times Preserve lies at the intersection of South Carolina’s Southern Blue Ridge Mountains and its piedmont region, where mountainous terrain begins to slope into gentler hills. Black bear, peregrine falcons and freshwater trout are just a few of the species you may find on this incredibly biologically significant property.
MoreOne of Pickens county nature parks beautiful place to visit
Very peaceful trails. Alot of nature to take in and enjoy.
Good hiking trail for a pretty good workout!
When someone tells you to take a hike, this is a peaceful place to do so. I wish they would allow horses on these trails.
MoreBeautiful place to hike. Small streams, nice views, and not crowded. Dog-friendly.
MoreNice hiking trails near my home. Connie and I enjoy looking at all the plants and identifying them.
MoreNo matter what time of yearAlways beautiful to drive thru
An easy little hike with a cute little waterfall..
Beautiful as always! Been coming here since I was a kid!
Went here on a whim with nephews and my son ages 18, 13, and 5. I believe they have 3 trails as of right now. It was beautiful even with the trees not yet full of leaves. The trail we took was very hard for myself and my 5 year old. The boys are I better shape and did great, but it wore them out. The trail splits and gets confusing, but well worth it.
MoreNice short trail with lots of wildflowers
Steep, great nature birds.
Uphill hike. Strenuous. Beautiful area!
Ive hunted there for 18 years and dont believe its right for people to be walking during hunting season. Especially the fact that they dont pay an annual fee as we hunters do for our license, and the fact that not a one of them I seen had a lick of orange on. Theres plenty of state park land they can walk and that land we cant hunt. So I guess we should be able to hunt state parks . Everything has changed since the rich people as people put it, moved in at the reserve and vineyards! We hunters only get 4 months a year to do what we enjoy doing and pay our fees for using it, us hunters spend more than those mushroom pickers do in revenue and dont believe its fair that we put our time in to hunting ,most getting to where we are going to hunt way before daylight and dont appreciate people walking in on us and ruining our hunt.
MoreOne of the most beautiful places in Pickens county.
Great walk, but go up from the main parking area - it is not as steep as going up from the western end. New trail along the creek on the other side of the road makes for a good loop.
MoreThe nature is beautiful. One of my favorite places to go.
Love this place grew up in the hills no place like home
Gorgeous place to get consumed with the breathtaking forest of South Carolina! Lots of trail options for the whole family!
MoreGreat place to walk. Pretty scenery and a good hike. Great wildlife habitat.
Best unknown place in Pickens County! Trails are well maintained and new trails are going in. If you are a Climber, this place has it all.
MoreWe hiked the Cedar Rock trail. It’s about 4 mile out and back.Zoom in to Google and you can see that the trail has been mapped. There will be an uphill 400’ climb on this hike if you hike from east to west. It’s off-road parking and can be limited on a crowded day. Luckily, not a lot of people know about this trail yet.Trail is not well marked and maintained (hence the three stars ratings. Five stars for the fall scenery thoughbut you have good cell phone signal throughout most of the trail so you can use that for navigation.Have fun!
MoreLove this place
Lot of small hiking trails
Wonderful amazing wild flowers.. recent forest fire..
Small preserve off the side of the road. Two forest road entrances, one from each side, access a small hiking trail loop. As of November 2015 there were a few fallen trees and signage is in poor condition. Supposedly a good place to view some forms of rare wildlife. Lower quality hike compared to other options in this area.
