This 17th-century Romanesque-Gothic Catholic church is dedicated to Saint Castor & the Virgin Mary.
Interesting cathedral woth a fine barock altar. Dedicated to the Holy Virgin Notre Dame.
Under restoration...
Gorgeous church!
Lovely place to visit
Cool
The Romanesque cathedral, built on older buildings was consecrated in 1096. Some parts of the facades are preserved from this period. On the left side you can see a set of bas-reliefs from the Old Testament.

Very placid, lovely place.
Cool place but not worth going out of your way compared to other places in the city
The old church in the middle of old city. It was closed for renovations.
Very beautiful place
Masterpiece of medieval art and architecture with atmospheric interior. Modern waterfall fountain on its side with cafe is nice.

Very nice
Recently renovated. Very very nice to see and visit. Great with familyThey rent baby carriers (backpacks), and you can visit VR mode
Dark and dull. You get a much better visitor experience in an English cathedral.
It was nice and calm. The architecture and art displayed inside were very interesting to look at. I had a wonderful visit with my family.
Beautiful old church. With a Nice semi-transparent door.
Very nice
It was closed!!!!!!!!!!!
Very beautiful!
Look at the Bible story freize just below the roof on the right of the building.
Beautiful cathedral in Nimes
Good
Very old with lots of history...
Beautiful in and out. Free entry when we were there.
Beautiful cathedral. I only give it 3 stars because outside is very different from what you normally expect from a cathedral. It is quite old and simple
It has a gargoyle that looks like its smiling. I loved it!
Ancient building and beautiful inside decoration, wont be disappointed if you visit, restricted visit times.
From the outside, the Cathedral ND is impressive, but because it closed at noon we unable to go inside - which was a real pity indeed.Nimes is a small compact city and this is one of the three must-see sights, so its worth ensuring you get there when it is actually open (and check that it will be open... as the website is badly designed and not greatly helpful!)We thoroughly enjoyed Nimes. Should we be returning to the south of France this little town will be on our revisit list, if only to try to make sure that we arrive when the cathedral is open for viewing!
Marvelous
Nimez
Frances churches are wonderful. Go visit!
Beautiful church. Peaceful holly place
Outside, the cathedral is impressive. Because closing at noon we could not get inside. The city is small and this is one of the sights, so its worth seeing.
