Ngon Villa - Vietnamese restaurant in Son Tay, Vietnam
I strongly recommend you to try the king prawn on the big white plate was the best!!!!!! Also dont forget to order eggplant tofu soup. It was also amazing!BE CAREFUL! I went here during Tet(Lunar New Year holidaysso I couldnt enjoy All you can eat but a la carte.
The best "All you can eat"
Very tradictional, in centre of Hanoi with ocal people. Very nice
Oh wow!My husband and I opted for the smaller version of the allYou can eat menu.It was, hands down, the most exciting mean we ever had.The villa itself provides for an amazing setup, the dishes were sublime and the service was excellent. We were served by amazing Anna, who has extremely good English and was very easy to communicate with. She was also very helpful when it came to choosing our dishes and always snuck in a little something extra we hadn’t ordered but had to try.You got the impression that they were genuinely happy to see us enjoy every sip and every bite. For the European pocket, standing at about 20€ pp including drinks the feast we had was also very affordable. This place will be our regular spot when in Hanoi!
Nice vietnamese resraurant for foreigner with good price
Definitely go for the all you can eat" menu for the most authentic and finest vietnamese food in Hanoi. Ngon Villa was very welcoming, clean and comfortable set in the French colonial style establishment and service as expected was excellent. You can be seated outdoors on the terrace or cool down in the airconditioned rooms. Book in advance!
OMG, I have died and gone to heaven... more to follow, but just in case youre outside wondering whether or not to come in... okay, so the food here is amazing, the oysters and shrimp are truly spectacular and the soups all made from fresh ingredients with love and care. The staff are obviously well trained, but most importantly are truly professional, personable, and most importantly passionate. If you skip the wine the meal will be more value for money, but if you have great food it deserves a little company... Thank you Thor and Lele!
Beautiful designed, old French style furnished with lot of wooden furniture, very charming, warm and cosy atmosphere. Nice and friendly Service. Ms Thor. A great unexpected unique Food experience, high Quality, nice prepared, tasteful. Huge selection of excellent Vietnamese Food and seafood, well prepared and served
The service is excellent, the food is delicious. They have a buffet where you can choose from all the dishes on the menu. After three weeks traveling Vietnam, Ngon Villa served the best food, way ahead of all other restaurants - and we have had a lot of very good food
The food is delicious and the service is awesome!!! People are really nice💕💕💕
For this price go anywhere else. We had a super mediocre experience, food was just okay, they served us hot wine (didnt bother to bring the bottle up to have us try it first). Ended up being $90 USD for 2 people that I regret spending. (sorry for the lazy photos, I was too eager to leave)
Ive been here twice in two years. The calming ambience of the restaurant has remained unchanged since then, which is a good thing. On the other hand, the menu has changed slightly; some of the more adventurous food options have been removed, e.g. frog. However, this is not to say that the food options are limited. Youll find a variety of quality, delicious dishes at a very reasonable price. And to top things off, the staff are attentive and always ready to serve, even on busier nights.
We had the all you can eat option, and tried most of the dishes. We couldnt fault any of them, even the dessert. We sat outdoor, the ambient was good, with live piano music playing. The waitress was exceptional , great friendly service. We would recommend this restaurant to those who wants a relaxed atmosphere (sit outdoor since indoor can be a little noisywith good food.
Chosen for me as part of a tour, the food was surprisingly bland. We tried at least 12 different dishes ranging from seafood to fried rice to pork belly. The deep fried spring rolls were a delight, as were the clams & oysters. I wouldnt even think about ordering the other nine dishes again. Do yourself a favor: order street banh mis and then go spend all the money you would have spent at a wine or cocktail bar.
We had fantastic dinner with a high quality all-you-can-eat restaurant. Really amazing quality, service was outstanding. There are a variety of specialty dishes offered from varying regions of Vietnam. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant, don’t miss this.
The foods are normal, pretty good atmosphere..
Defiantly recommend- all you can eat for good quality and cheap price!
Excellent authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Pricing amazing. Service and staff wonderful. Do the buffet-all you can eat so you can taste a variety of items! A definite “go to” restaurant. You will not be disappointed!!!
Heard the piano, so had to check it out! Delicious food, our host Anna was wonderfully attentive, great overall atmosphere & experience.
Loved it! Great food and great cocktails, very friendly staff. We had a table on the first floor in a corner: it proved to be just the right amount of intimate and cosy for a family dinner. We had a great time! The all-you-can-eat menu is really worth it. The only thing not worth trying are probably the snails (not very interestingbut everything else was delicious!
Awesome dishes, cosy atmosphere and friendly staff. I have returned 2 times to this place. It is that good! :)
Good food, very nice meal and very good service.
Beautiful villa, vintage like decoration, nice pianist to play great songs, attracting mostly tourists. The food we had was hits and misses, some dishes were Vietnamese, some were quite fusion. I just thought that the food did not gave me the wow factor. They were alright not particularly fantastic. But I have to admit that this is considered a safe place to be - like you dont have to worry they serve bad food, they serve pretty above average food catered for tourists. But certainly not the best in town for rice dishes... Nevertheless, we enjoyed the clam soup and pork that came with fire.Staffs are all very nice and friendly.
Nice and tasty food but expensive. Wanted a cosy place away from the noisy parts of the restaurant to have a quiet conversation, and the staff made a great effort to find us one. Went there specifically to celebrate a birthday, based on a previous recommendation from another traveller, but, unfortunately, it didnt go well. I ordered a small cake weeks in advance, but, instead, I received a cocktail–funny, and not what I expected. Thus, only 4 stars.
Just enjoyed a delicious dinner at the ngon villa restaurant. Looks very pretty an employees are very corteous. Restaurant was recommended from our local guide! An absolitely good choice...
I visited this restaurant with my family and choosed set menu, 360,000 per person. My youngest kid is free, the oldest kid is 50% discount. We had nice food and service. All my family are happy. They serve 10 dishes, and we order additional food.Dear Sky,You are the best staff. Thank you very much.
I had 360,000 don all you can eat buffet lunch on Saturday in late April. My attempt for reservation by email failed but I could get a table with ease. There are many rooms in this restaurant. Only one room was occupied with guests. Probably reservation may not required to have lunch. Foods are awesome as many has described. Building has nice interior and located in a street with real exotic vibe, and giving aura of Absolutely Vietnam. A great unforgettable experience in my life. Thanks .
Wonderful little place. Staff speak English for tourists and were fabulous at helping us decide what to try without pushing us. Would recommend the all you can eat option. Not a traditional buffet by Western standards. All good is cooked to order. Pho is also amazing here. Sky was a delight of a waitress too.
Food was really really good and the ambience was nice as well. Portions were just right as well.
Very friendly staff, they were willing to squeeze us in despite closing soon after. Food was overall good. The chicken was a bit sinewy, probably wouldnt order that again, but the beef and duck dishes were great. Also loved the fried spring rolls.
Nicely decorated with reasonably priced a la carte, where you can have everything in the menu in a small proportion, very suitable for exploring local flavors
Amazing dining experience. I had my birthday there, and they gave us a large cake complimentary with our reservation. I highly suggest the all you can eat tasting! They served us unlimited food in small portions and it was perfect for getting a full experience of Vietnamese cuisine. Our server was all very nice and lovely! Live piano made this totally memorable!
This place is really charming! The food was delicious and the wine by the glass was very good and reasonably priced. The Vietnamese coffee was absolutely fantastic! It’s well worth a try. The best part of the whole experience was the people. They were kind and very helpful.
Great architecture with great atmosphere, reservations recommended, might think its quite pricy, but still affordable. The very best thing with this restaurant is that you can enjoy almost every exotic dish of Vietnam only by sitting at the antique-french styled table and seats.
Fabulous gem in hidden haven. Great value, great food, great atmosphere. Dont miss out visit you will never regret it.
I had such a pleasant experience. My servers, Anna and Sally, were so nice and accommodating of my vegan requests
Its a beautiful restaurant with great food and good atmosphere. The staff is very nice, attentive, and speaks good English. Food is very high quality, though its a french kitchen so very fancy stuff - and some people wouldnt like it (snails, frogs.. ). We ate some chicken and shrimp and it was great.
Amazing restaurant within equally amazing staff. i was catered by David, Tip Top and Ana and all of them were so motivated and lovely. If you want to try good vietnamese food, this is a must visit place. i tried the all you can eat menu and it offered a plenty to chose from. All the best guys, keep up the good work
Nice food and great service very friendly and polite. Wide variety of Vietnamese cuisine. Must try.
Inside a small alley, a surprise antique but beautiful house shows up. The staff is very responsive and helpful, good English speaking. We ordered all you can eat Vietnamese food (414k including tax & service), range from hot pot / salad / shrimp / seafood soup / roll / oyster / ice cream / fruit / coffee jelly ... so many many variety, and most of them are very delicious. Our waitress that day is Christy who is very smart and helpful. Will visit again soon.
I really enjoyed the experience. the "all you can eat" option allows you to order everything from the menu, so you can try what ever you want, it was a very good opportunity to try many different local dishes and the menu and restaurant is set up more in western standards so that the menu and whole experience make sense to visitors. At no point the experience feels touristic (there are no photo menus, dont worry). The flavours are maybe a bit more westernised (but not in a bad waythe taste was different to some of the more local oriented places but it was in the spirit of adding complexity and not in watering down the experience. The local culture seems to be more focused on quick street solutions and no attention to the dinning experience, Ngon Villa does focus on the experience and if they turned the "all you can eat" into a structured tasting menu they could maybe go for a one Michelin star (just might), on this note for a more upscale experience maybe try the parent restaurant of Ngon Villa called Home.
We were served by Crystal and food was ordered, for a truly Vietnamese taste, by TipTop. Service was excellent and food was great (we had the all we can eat option)! Highly recommended if you want to taste good quality food - a change from Old Quarters typical servings.
Lovely food and lovely friendly service at this nice villa. For one price (that might be a bit highyou can try lots of nice dishes from the menu and in this way make a tour through Vietnam. We loved the clams and oysters.
I went here with my friend this evening and had the most memorable time! The restaurant is located inside a beautiful building, and the atmosphere allows you the flexibility to dress up or be causal. Ngon Villa has a very unique all you can eat option, that allows you to order anything you like a la carte, rather than a buffet style - allowing my friend and I to try a variety of Vietnamese dishes. The waitstaff went out of their way to see to our needs, and were able to explain what each dish was. The food was exceptional, and the Manager personally explained the concept of restaurant, and checked on us again before our departure 3hrs later. Id recommend this restaurant for anyone who, like us, seeks a truly fantastic dining experience!
Good and established restaurant, yet very affordable for the dishes you try. They have two all you can eat options, 360k VND and 500k VND per person, which give you a rather big selection of plates (even the cheaper option). They try to make you taste dishes from the three parts of Vietnam (North, Central and Southso you can get a feel for the countries gastronomic delights.Definitely a must if your in Hanoi, and they have partner restaurants in another post of Hanoi and Hoi An as well (will be going there tonight). If you do go, I hope youre lucky enough to meet Mr. Minh, the manager for the three restaurants. His attention to detail and efforts to make you feel welcome and the visit even more special.
Lovely environment, set in a villa and run by young Vietnamese on the F&B food scene. Vietnamese food, traditional and some dishes with fusion twist. Go for the ala carte buffet/all you can eat options.VND360K per pax (USD16++), you can select all the 1-2 stars dishes on menu.or 580k/pax (USD 26++for 1-3 stars dishes on menu.I took the VND360K option that allowed me to choose from items marked with 1-2 stars and there were easily more than 50 dish choices. Had a great degustation menu experience with 7 small portioned dishes and 2 desserts.Service was excellent. My server that day spoke good English and recommended some great dishes.A must-try is the Goi bo to Cu Chi, a salad of tossed thinly sliced starfruit and green bananas with sliced grilled beef with a well balanced savory, sweet and sour Vietnamese dressing. This was my favorite dish of the night. Appetizing and helped cleansed the palate in between dishes.Grilled herbal beef was grilled beef sirloin cubes. Not bad. Savory sweet with nice chargrilled taste. If you like clams, try both versions. Steamed with Lemongrass, pineapple and bit of chilli. Or stir fried with caramelized garlic.Feeling adventurous? Try the river snails. You may want to try the stir fried snails with tamarind instead. I had the steamed ones with Lemongrass served with chilli. Okay but I think a stronger flavor approach will do the fresh snails more justice.Oysters. I had one each of all 3 versions. Grilled: Topped with spring onions sauce, another with salted egg sauce. Both are okay. Oysters were fresh.Another oyster, deep fried in batter Vietnam style served with chilli - this one tasted better as the oyster was still juicy.Desserts. Try these two.Sua chua mit - Jackfruit with yoghurtThach ca phe sua dua - Chilled coffee jelly topped with coconut cream.
Our most expensive meal in Hanoi but well worth the price for the excellent quality of food and top-notch service. Seems like only two options of all-you-can-eat - 360k or 580k. Best to call ahead to make a reservation.
Good food (buffetfor a reasonable price, nice atmosphere and very friendly service. We would definitely come back
Amazingly warm service by waitress Sky! Top vegetarian food! Cozy atmosphere and music! 10/10 thank you!!!
Loved this place because of the service. Our waiter was very friendly and talkative. The food, however, is not that amazing. Super expensive compared to Vietnamese cuisine. The pork belly came out rock hard. I would give the food 3 stars, but the service saved the experience slightly.
