Next Door by Imperial - Czech restaurant in Prague, Czech Republic
Boujie, great food, but staff could been more attentive to tourists, clear discrepancy in how locals were treated and as to how we were treated.
elegant restaurant, friendly staff, delicious food nicely arranged, reservation is probably necessary, really enjoyed my dinner
Great taste that would be the must visit place in Prague. Staffs are very witty and nice to all the customers
Amazing experience, great kitchen and professional staff. I will return again and again. I can only recommend this place. Top you can get in CZ...
The best meal I have eaten in my life so far.I had the praline of lobster as a starter, tenderloin of wild boar as a main with creamy potatoes and danemark sundae for dessert.Everything was perfect. Perfect service, perfect decor, clean toilets, knowledgeable staff and the food was sublime. It was the main course of wild boar that really stuck out. I didnt want it to end.I cannot fault a single thing about it.If I return to Prague, I will definitely visit again. Thanks!
Very tasty food, great service, really nice architecture.Must try in Prague.
Standard of Service by Next Door is of high quality indeedLights: Dimmed and softMusic: Very comforting and not loudAroma of restaurant: Pleasant and without smellsStaff: Skilled, elegant and noble behaviour, deep knowledge about menuFood: Spectacular and playfulPrice: ReasonableWe’ve had a good timeThank you
Ive been going here everyday this week and im absolutely amazed by the food and service. I have been to many countries and this place is the best soo far. Im a perfectionist and i couldnt fault anything here 🙂 the food is fresh and everything is made in house
My go to place whenever I am in Prague. I dont know how many times I have been there but is one of the best places in Prague. Very beautiful vibe, open kitchen, amazing food and the waiters super polite!
Next Door is a wild mix that works excellently: its a posh, loud, laughing, traditional czech, modern, antique, touristy and yet local restaurant that offers very delicious food and excellent service for a high price, but its definitely worth it. Go here if you want to celebrate something special, dress smart casual und simply have a good time! Dont expect romantic candlelight in total silence though, you wont get that here.
If you want some fancy breakfast, this is the place!Eggs Benedict with mushroom gravy and truffles 🤌🏼
Absolutely disapointed by this establishement. We had a reservation for 9 people anf the staff told me they will surcharge us by 10% because it was house policy. We went there and we were denied entrance because we had a dog in a bag, a small dog in a closed bag.To talk about the food properly its not bad neither great, beer is good but thats all.I would recomend everyone to find another real czech restaurant that as a decent client policy and polite staff.Sincerely if you read this dont try to be posh when you cant afford to cook duck properly or to hire proper staff.
Great food in fancy restaurant. The vegetables were a little tough, but otherwise good food. Nice local. The waitress is always nearby. Good wine.Note: They charge a small extra fee for serving which was not disclosed before ordered.
Incredible experience; awesome customer service and wonderful menu selection. Highly recommended. Convenient location just short walk from train station. Interior decor very interesting and welcoming. Open kitchen and professional staff. Had the wild boar and it was delicious. Solid beverage selection as well. Plus they have a daily cake offering that was delightful.
4.9 - I love this restaurant very much because of the following two parts:Food: Quality of ingredients are very high and dishes are prepared and cooked consistently well in term of taste and timing of cooking. Each dish has it own flavour and texture (in a good way). In addition, dishes are presented beautifully. In my opinion, I strongly recommend to try their Wild Boar. The chef executed this dish very well - Very juicy, flavoursome and tender. P.S. I did go to another popular restaurant and tried the wild boar too. This restaurant did a better job. Well done.Customer service: Staff is very attentive and they served you with professionalism. When I paid my bill, I asked the waiter to round up the total. He told me 10% service fee has been included in the bill. Thus, there is no need for further tips. Because of his honesty, I gave him an additional tip. In hospitality, we need more people like them who serve you with professionalism, humility and integrity. One of the best restaurants I experienced during my current Europe travel.
The food is awesome! Great modern take on Czech classics. Everything was delicious and the service was pleasant and they take good care of their guests. However I was slightly disappointed by the coffee. With such great and modern food, I didn’t expect to be served a cappuccino from the 1980, with thick foam and burned taste. Specialty coffee would be a great step up.
Nice place, modern stylish, meals were ready quite quickly. Some main dishes were good , some just average, perfect deserts and coffee. Attendants should be more attentative. Personally was expecting more from celebrity chef Mr. Polreich restaurant , thus a bit disappointed...
Super high quality kitchen, quite on the fancy side but with nice takes on heartwarming Czech cuisine, all very well executed. Service was also impeccable. We definitely enjoyed ourselves, and the bill at the end was really nothing terrible - many things would cost double as much elsewhere. All in all very recommended!
Grear atmosphere and amazing service. An excellent overall experience!
Tasty breakfast (the best omelette my partner has ever hadwith very fast and friendly service.
Came for the second time this year and this time we settled for some Czech specialties such as Svickova and duck thigh. The service was outstanding as usual, the food great although I kinda missed the whipped cream on Svickova, but thats just my personal preference. The meat was extremely tender, and every side tasted great in both meals. The star less comes from the desserts; last time we had the raspberry slice and it was ok, this time the banana caramel ball, and there was something definitely missing, both in terms of flavours and consistency.Except for desserts everything else is top-notch and this place definitely deserves a visit.Prices above average but still fair for the quality and quantity of what you get.
Excellent restaurant. Superb serivce. Everything simply spot on. Meals very reasonbly priced
What a great surprise! The atmosphere is very nice and cozy, there’s an open kitchen and services was excellent. The prices are great and you can taste very authentic Czech dishes along innovative ones. Highly recommended. Would definitely return!
The service was AMAZEBALLS and the food was excellent! Good portion sizes for an upscale restaurant. The Boar was cooked to perfection, the mashed potatoes were super creamy and the carmelized carrots were to die for. I highly recommend this restuarant.
Delicious food, excellent service!Perfect place for special evenings. We can especially recommend the foie gras Appetizer!
Incredibly tasteful dishes, amazing and professional personal. You get what you pay for in one of the best restaurants in Europe
Great venue, friendly and professional service, great food and great drinks for reasonable prices. I can highly recommend this place and I am looking forward to coming back!
Great atmosphere and service, delicious dishes one by one! I would definitely return!
The food is great, creatively designed, well served and tasty. There is a choice of good Czech wines which cost double of similar French wines but make sense to try.I’d recommend to avoid traditional Czech dishes like leg of duck (kachnaor braised beef (svíčkováas they are the same casual and boring as in any good local beer restaurant.Actually the most impressive are starters and desserts.Very reasonable price for that kind of place.
One of my favorites in Prague. Professional reservations, great ambiance especially section under skylight. Sufficient staff and cooks to ensure great service and attention. High quality food prepared by professional chefs 👌
Visited without reservation at Friday dinner time. Great location, ambiance, service and food! Price is valued at €€€ but a two person dinner with self-paired wines hit only 2500 (roughly 100€).
Great experience, at €50 per person for a 3-course meal, including drinks, this was a high quality dinner.Staff was friendly, service was quick.
The food is great - the ambience is fabulous. Like the vibe and the dishes they offer. The breakfast was super and fresh.Vaclav the manager went above and beyond in taking care of us. He provided a good seating to us during brunch time.I highly recommend the place for a good food and vibe!
Extraordinary good cuisine, exceptional service. To recommend... I dont understand why this restaurant has no Michelin star. Outstanding!
Fantastic food with the best and friendly waiter Karin L. . She gives you more than a meal, its a perfect experience/service you have to check out.The food alone is a solid 10/10 in combination wit the whole atmosphere 😋🤤👍
I really liked the restaurant classic and chic design and the service was excellent. The food is very good as well, but didnt exactly met my taste. The sauce of the veal leg was a bit flat and too sauer. The rest was more flavourful.
I visited many michelin star restaurants all over the world, but this was unexpectedly great experience. 10/10 ... everything!Food, place... and SERVICE. We were blessed to get Martina. She’s absolute professional. That smile, energy and passion is everything. Congrats Zdenku! And thanks for this experience 🙌🏻
Great cuisine with affordable prices. Elegant location with careful service. English speaking staff. The portions are quite large so i would suggest appetizer and main dish or main dish and desert.
Lovely decor. A blend of neoclassical style, everywhere above the cream wainscoting, while Danish looking bleached wood tables and chairs are scattered all over the floor. Modern lampshades on the walls. Tables feet are in the shape of a stack of books, quirky. The atmosphere is elegant and relaxing. Service is very courteous and professional. The food is delicious. Prepared to the best standards of the European cuisine. Good selection of meals plus a daily menu. The "pezzo forte" of this restaurant is undoubtedly the variety, beauty and taste of cakes and puddings. Sooo recommended!
Really nice restaurant with a very nice concept design, the kitchen is open so you can see the chefs preparing and plating the food which makes it very interesting. The staff is really attentive: they take your coat as you walk in, serve you wine as soon as you have finished, are willing to explain the dishes, they waited for everyone to finish in order to start taking the plates off the table. The food is good, I would maybe put less salt in the appetizer which is served before ordering, the beef broth was okay, could have been a bit bolder in taste. The tuna I have to say was really good, as well as the steak. I have noticed that a lot of the dishes in the menu have as sauce bernaise, nothing wrong with that, it’s a nice sauce, but I would have a bit more variety (tuna would go very well also with lemon cream sauce or lemon Dijon sauce, pepper sauce). When it comes to dessert, I have nothing to say but the fact that it was impeccable in flavor. For sure I will go there again.
This restuarant has food with great ambience and amazing service. The staff are very friendly and amazing customer service.. The food is perfect. The temperature of the food to the plating everything is just perfect. This is one of a must visit fine dining restaurant in Prague.
Our first meal ever in Prague and it was excellent. Food, presentation and service are all excellent. The braised beef with creamy sauce & duck leg are delicious. We truly enjoyed the dining experience.
Dinner. Celebrity chef needs to show up and fix this place. Eater.com steered us wrong for once. Big hopes but big flop. Barely into my wine dinner was served. Suspicious. Pork chop cooked correct temp but flavor lacking. My wife’s salmon smelled off and covered in salt. They did replace it and it was better at no charge. Staff excellent. Turn down the chandelier and create some ambiance. Dress code might help as many in shorts and T-shirt. Camouflage quality. Really? For fine dining dinner?
Upmarket restaurant with some nice decor inside. Food and drink looked great but didnt taste that good. Staff inside were very attentive and friendly. The selection of cakes offers good value for money. We were a party of 10 and they found room for us.
Amazing place. Nice interior, helpful and polite staff. Food was delicious. Prices are appropriate for the category of the place. 80-90 euro for a lunch/dinner for 2 people with starter, main dish, dressert, wine and tip included. Would return to here any time. Highly recommended.
I came here twice while I was visiting Prague. The first time my server was lovely and the duck leg I ordered was phenomenal, so I decided to come back the next night for dessert and coffee.Unfortunately the server I had the second time was sullen and short with me throughout the evening. Fine, no big deal, I get that Europeans generally don’t like Asian tourists, so I brushed this off. However, I couldn’t ignore what happened at the end of the meal, when he straight up shouted “NO NO NO!” at me when he thought I removed my credit card from the machine mid-transaction. I had done so only after being prompted by the machine to remove my card, and when I pointed this out to him (after it turned out the transaction did go through after allhe simply snatched the machine away without acknowledging that he’d been wrong or apologizing for his tone. I was shocked - I’ve never been spoken to like that by anyone, much less waitstaff at a fine dining establishment.Go here for the food, but keep your expectations of the service low.
Simply amazing!! Top top top class! Especially an experienced male waiter (he is a manager)! The service he provides is above & beyond! I was eating my delicious duck and he saw that there is not enough sauce so he brought it for me! If someone is in the bathroom when food arrives he covers the food for other people as well so it doesnt get cold! If you want to eat a cake they bring all the cakes and describe! The food is unbelievable.... And really reasonable prices (especially compared to London). Just loved that place and want to come back!
We ordered a lot of dishes to split (after a long day of walking we were quite hungry, as one gets), and the two things that really stood out were:1. The service2. The beef tartareThere’s a vast amount of these high profile restaurants in this area (which is understandable since they’re apart of major hotelsbut the flavors didn’t catch our attention as much as some of the mom-and-pop restaurants in the area. It was a great experience with great service but for over 3300 czk, we had higher expectations for the food.
Great interior design and decorations. Fine dining. Service was great, was able to communicate in English and was patient to help us with our selection for our main dishes. Food was well flavored.
Get a table in advance!! Reserve online.Absolutely amazing food - big recommendation. Comparably cheap - this is really impressive cooking. Open kitchen, so you get get a glimpse as the worlds best Schnitzel is prepared for you.Recommendation: When you go for the first time, order one of the Czech dishes on the menu. Theyre classics but very very well done.We went several times during our trip - no regrets. Also, they have great Czech beer!!
