Newin Centre Mall - Shopping Centre in Mississauga, Canada
Not a good place to eat. However, there is one best Korean foods in the food court section. As per Nov 2022, when we visited again, the Korean foods have been closed down. This mall is not really good in layout and some sections are dirty.
This is a strange place with lots of shops of all sorts and food, use to be asian dominated now arabs are taking over, expect roughness and rudeness, pay attention to the cleanliness before ordering food or end up sick.
If youre looking for affordable haircut, Alterations any kind this is the place to go. I like the place where I usually find what I am looking for. I also bought one of my winter pants at the location and no regrets at all. The only thing that is missing is dont have good fast food where its healthy enough to your satisfaction.
Food court, haircuts and much more!
This place definitely need renovation and clean up. But you can find alot of good stores. Food court is disgusting.
Superb hair salons inside the mall within reasonable charges
Good place for budget but good hair care services. It has many hair salons and other beauty treatments at a budget. They have a food court with many locally operated ethnic outlets.
Good restaurants but ehh, its kinda dirty inside. And theres always a rush. Parking is always hard to find sometimes.
Absolute run down place. Surrounded by homeless, drunk and crack heads. Go in for absolutely good Indian, Pakistani and Korean food for cheap. Get cheap hair cuts and mani-pedi. Get your phone fixed and get accessories. Most stores cater to black and South Asian communities. Visit at your own risk. Cooksville is the hood now.
Worst place is Jimmys salon. Please dont waste your money and time here. The guy charged us 100$ and after one wash his hair look curly again. Not even 1% straight. He didnt give our money back and not even tried to do it again. Shouted at us.
Always a good deal on haircut prices.
Nail place. Girls are well trained to do nails
One of the ghetto malls of Mississauga. I dont go here unless its for my haircut
Its Barber mallGood for someone looking for cheap hair cut on your own risk
There are many hair salons, nail spas, mobile shops and beauty salons inside this mall. I visit a parlour here for eyebrows and upper lips threading. It’s damn cheap as compared to any other parlours. I’m sure many come here for the economical pricing of the beauty services. However, I don’t like the area where this mall is situated. Feels a bit shady.
Lots of hair and salon asthetic shops. Very reasonable and competitive prices.
Some international cuisine outlets are major attractions
Various services are offered in this building and are cheap. For instance, I had something tailored for 15 dollars.
Not a great place for parking. There is a lot of business. Unfortunately the neighborhood, the government dont put any effort to make it better. It like poor part of Mississauga. But most working class people comes to shop there. Roads, buildings and shops mustRenovate. So many awesome business. Multicultural food and facilities.
Good place to have some food, haircut, phone accessories and many more.
WASHROOMS NEEDS RENOVATIONS!!! , stuffy and bad odours...urine and sewage drains.., walls and tiles...whole WASHROOMS, NEEDS IMPROVEMENTS...TOOOOOOO OLD!!! WORNED OUT, TOOO SMALL ...TOOO...NOT enough space for more than 2 guests...urinals, toilets and sinks...etc...😡😡😡😡😡🤨🙄🤔😮Washrooms are NOW locked NOT open for public customers!!!
I always get my haircuts here and the service is great. There are many stores and restaurants as well as a dining area. Though it should be cleaned and renovated more often.
A nice place though could be more well kept and clean Hubby loves Frankys salon and we lave Tabaq.
You will find Best Indian Beauty Parlours in this mall. The parlours provide good and affordable services. This mall has a few Indian and Asian restaurants, Affordable barber shops, Indian clothing/altering stores and mobil case and repair shop as well.
Perfect for getting takeout food or a quick hair cut. There are some other shops but the majority are for food and haircuts.
Some good stores and services, but overall the mall itself needs to be updated severely (looks like no upgrades or changes have been done since it was built, probably in the 80s?and many parts of it (stairwells, elevator, side entrance etc.are very dingy and dirty and need to be repaired and kept clean on a regular basis.
A run down mall with mostly barbers and random flea market type stores. The highlight is the food court. This is also an ethnic enclave of India/Pakistan and southeast Asia. A cultural experience or a reminder of home, depending on who you are.
This is an old rather hidden away ethnic mall, with many hair cutting salons, a few dodgy flee market type shops, and a very basic but nice food court with authentic affordable mom and pop Korean and Indian/Pakistani restaurants. Feels a lot like being in southeast Asia and eating street food. Not a fancy high end place, but a lot of good deals to be found here, and just walking through the place is a cultural experience.
These 3 stars are for those who are really working hard in their business like hair salons, accountents and ready to wear 3pc and south asian clothing shops. There are some shops selling preloved clothes and jewelry and they are a big rip off!!! Remember if I have to pay $250 for an old jacket Id rather add another 200 and buy a new one.Food court there is not so good they really need to work on customer service and food quality.
Very few places worth stepping into. The place where I went was well worth going but most other are hmmmm. The place where I went I give 4.5 stars (lots of skilled work wow). Its a good place to support local businesses.
Feels stuffy inside, plain square shape design, uninviting atmosphere, clean washroom but wouldnt prefer eating from there. Lots of barbershops (around 10). "A land lost in time"
An older mall in old downtown Mississauga, theres not a lot of stores in here. There is a couple of clothing alteration stores, a couple beauty salons/barber and a small cafeteria. Theres also a computer shop. Parking is tight and oddly shaped thats its hard to know where the lines are. I believe theres an indoor parking garage as alternative. . I come here for Lynns clothing alterations. I get all my pants hemmed there. Theres a couple of empty store places as well.
Glad the food court is open again. About 50% of seating is roped off. Would be better if doors were open to improve ventilation, and enforcement of safe distancing.
There is this place Bombay Chat & Dosa in the food court, really enjoyed the Vada Pav & Chat from here😋 The owner Sanjay is very welcoming. Will surely visit this place again whenever I am on that side to try out other dishes as well.
You don’t go to Newin center to shop, you go here because you know exactly what you want. It has a number of computer and mobile repair shops. A bunch of cheap barber shops and it has an food court that will make you feel like you have entered another country but the food shops have some of the most diverse and amazing food in town. Also despite the shady look of the plaza it’s a fairly safe place.
To be honest I dont really like this mall, its cramped and shabby and people always stare at you like youre crazy if youre white (LOL). But I always come back just because of the Tabaq restaurant! They have the best halwa puri Ive tried in the GTA and I LOVE their onion pickles. My husband and I come from Barrie just to eat there. Theres also an African barber who is great as well but I dont remember the shop name.
I’ll be real transparent;1When you see Newin Center, it ain’t appealing from the outside just an entrance/exit door with stairs that opens the another door and you see the inside.2Restaurants are really good. They have Pakistani/Indian, Chinese, all of that at an affordable rates.3They also have most of the salons for both men & women. They all are pretty good too with much variations and different types of people or culture.Lastly, my overall experience in Newin is always great. No complains tho. You can eat, drink, get a haircut, bank atm is also there, etc. It’s worth it.
This mall is pretty much as ghetto as it gets! The food court in simple terms, is basically a soup kitchen where all the weird freaks, drug attics, alcoholics and homeless people come.
I have never seen a place with so many hair salons each one competing for your business. You can get hair cut for $10.00 (for mendo not underestimate the quality of service based on the price. I got the same quality of hair-cut which I got from a branded hair salon in a major mall and which cost me $28.00 not including gratuity. The plaza is old and is not a fancy place. However it is the house of famous Tabbaq restaurant, which is known for Pakistani authentic breakfast of "Puri and Chana", "Haleem" and freshly made tandoori nans prepared in clay oven. On the weekend, it is likely that you would wait in line to be served. Prices are very reasonable (less than $10.00 per person). Food is finger-licking good. There is no eat-in option, but you can certainly take your food and eat in the food court area, again, not a fancy place but many people eat in the food court to enjoy the food while it is warm. This place also have a cell phone repair shop. The service and price at this establishment is very good. The people are trust-worthy and dependable. The parking for this plaza is limited and always pose a challenge. There is limited street parking available and ample parking at the plaza right accross.
come here every weekend. we love TAMMY the hair dresser! and the nail places are sooo good and cheap. the food is cute too. juicy samosas and coke. not fancy but good enough
Its an average mall. Mostly beauty parlours and barber shops. There are a couple of restaurants. Chinese, Thai, Pakistani and Indian restaurants. Apartment from that there is nothing much. Hair cutting is cheaper here. $10 for adults...
Services and food for cheap price. The ambience doesnt seem great but if youre running on a low budget, this can rescue you without digging a hole in the pocket. Most Popular food point here is the Pakistani Cuisine Tabaq restaurant. Furthermore, you get a bunch of Accounting services, Pharmacy, Salons, Tailoring and Alterations spots to name a few. You get what you pay for applies well here, but sometimes they can surprise you pleasantly too.
Good Food, I eat from Tabaq. Cheap haircuts l, theres one for just $10 and he cuts decent. Some are cheap and not so good so be careful who u choose. Place could be cleaner, seems really old.
This tiny mall has been around since the 90s. I only visit this mall for my family doctor.Walking around this mall you will find reasonable price items all over at any of the available stores. The malls has tons of hair salons, tax offices, phone accessories shops, a few independent clothing shops, Indian fashion jewelries, wigs shop and a tiny food court. There are plenty of parking spots behind the building. If only management limitize the number of hair salons and control what business can be set up in the mall would be a nice mall to shop around.
A lot of hair salons which offer services at a reasonable price. There is a small food court where you can also get desi food. The place isnt a very clean one thou. Ample of parking space.
Place is highly concentrated with hair stylist. A few nail and waxing facilities. A small food court. You can have only a hair cut at one price and a stepped up price for hair cut and wash. Not very hygienic. The combs are not dipped in sanitizing solution nor are the trimmers. Pricing is low. The reviews for the food court will vary pending on your background. The Korean takeout is our favorite. The son has taken over for the father and has polished his culinary skills. There is a cleaner in the cafeteria style food court.
Its an okay place. I only ever go there to get a haircut. 3/5 as its not very clean and I wouldnt eat at any of the food places there. Theres a phone and electronics shop there that does repairs and sells products, that store is great if youre looking to replace a charger or buy a replacement battery. I got a macbooks charger from there for half the price and it works just as well with no problems so far and its been 4 months.
Plenty of parking all around. Great place for choice for Hair cut or styling. Possibly more than 25 hair dressers here.Good food at great prices in the food court. With Korean, Arabic, Indian-Pakistani and other food stalls. Theres ample place to sit and eat too!
Small mall with depressing atmosphere until you reach the food section. They offer quite a variety of selections in the food court. Also, if you want a hair cut, there are lots of hair salon for you to choose from. I would come back for the food and nothing else.
Good place for a cheap haircut. If you are into indopak, Korean and Vietnamese cuisine is a good place to go for cheap, tasty and presumably authentic tasting food (most of the food stores have clients that reflect the stores heritageindoor parking is available and the elevator works most of the time.
