Newham Grange Farm - Farm in Middlesbrough, United Kingdom
Newham Grange Farm in Middlesbrough
Description
Not a bad place to visit but could be more activities that could work with not just local schools but around the teesside area
MoreIt was alright. It used to be a lot better with little toy tractors for children to play on, the seats have now been removed from them and the wheels no longer turn leaving you with a very disappointed toddler. You are offered food to buy when you first go in which you then realise the animals are too far away to feed which is a let down, more advertising on which animals you would be able to feed at the start would be a good idea. However, the animals look healthy and happy which is lovely to see. Maybe best for adults
MoreGreat place for a family day out. Inexpensive and a blessing it is part council funded. Food was great as well- and staff amazing
MoreLovely day plenty for younger kids could only pet the guinea pigs although they were very friendly but value for money
MoreGood place to spend an afternoon with the grandkids. There are animals to see and feed, free crazy golf course, and a really good playground. Our grandkids especially liked the petting sessions, where they could get hands on with the rabbits and guinea pigs.
MoreWent to the farm today, very reasonably priced to get in and our grandchildren are under 2 so all 3 went in for free. Lots to do, the children ran around everywhere, and there parents played crazy golf and went on the go carts, our grandchildren where too small to sit on the tractors but they are very sturdy and they had a great time pushing them all round the field. Food and drink in the cafe was excellent, lovely staff, and very reasonable priced. A great day out and we will be back soon.
MoreReally enjoyed our trip to Newham Grange Farm, so much to do for the kids and an absolute bargain to get in, less than £20 for a family of 4. Lovely staff to.
MoreA good place to take the little ones, plenty to do and keep them entertained. Tickets are cheap however food is average.
MoreNot a lot to see. I was expecting more animals. The go-cart area could do with another couple of go-carts as quite a few children queuing up.Entry fee for 2 Yr olds absolutely ridiculous, should make it free for under 4 yr olds.
MoreGreat place for day out with kids. Plenty of spaces to leisurely stroll around the place feeding the animals. Lots of seats around in th shade for rest and have your own picnic. Sufficient children play areas to get children engaged.
MoreGreat day despite the rain. Enjoyed seeing all the animals. They are lovely and well cared for. Cafe was nice also.
MoreExcellent for young kids, we took our 2 year old and he absolutely loved it! Can get close to the animals however not much hands on, clever chutes to feed the goats he was amazed with! Excellent play areas and lots to keep the kids entertained. Would definitely recommend if you have younger kids and especially so if you have kids that love animals!
MoreAwesome place! Our daughter totally loves the animals and the general space the farm has to offer. Nice little park for the littles ones to play in and the animals which they also get to touch are awesome! Staff are always friendly and welcoming and work very hard especially at Easter when it can get very busy particularly when days are as hot as 20 degrees! Fun things to find and stuff to play on in the park gives children hours of fun! Only criticism is that you have to go out the way you came in which forces you through the shop which is not a bad thing, its the single door going out when theres a queue and loads of prams coming and queuing through the door it is not great.. especially if you are at all bothered by confined space with covid etc. Not a great layout considering they have so much space! But I know why they do it.. kids and toys 🙂 mooovie night is coming! Sing 2! Awesome!
MoreThe animals are friendly and you can feed some of them as well as stroke the guinea pigs/rabbits at certain times. Nice family day out and its not expensive either. Often have piglets here and theres a play park, mini golf and pedal cars for kids
MoreSet out to go to Captain Cook museum.Found this place.Grandchildren loved it.Well run spent hours there.Easy on the pocket.Cafe a need for a vegetarian alternative. Not complaining.Smashing day out.
MoreAbsolutely lovely day out and real value for money. Loads of animals to see and feed, nice walks, picnic benches and cafe and activities from a maze, play areas, go carts and golf. 1000% reccommend.
MoreGreat place for the kids, lots of animals and play areas with loads of things to play on. Lovely picnic areas too. As a family we loved it!
MoreFantastic family day out. Lots to see and do, for both kids and big kids alike, there is something for everyone. Nice simple cafe. Not a huge food choice, but what they do have is very nice and yummy. Seating inside and outside, highchairs available, baby changing. Soft play area, play parks, mini crazy golf, sand pit, pedal karts, plenty of animals to pet and feed and more. Highly recommend. We will definitely be back.
MoreGreat place to visit whether young or old and it is extremely close to the Parkway shopping centre. There are some lovely pathways to walk and explore with plenty of room for cyclists and pedestrians.
MoreOK for the money but not much for the little ones to play on such as little ride on toys. Only 2 peddle tractors and these were broke. The interactive stuff wasnt up to much either. A lot better farms out there but this is local and easy to get to.
MoreBeen about 3 times over last 2 week. My kids cant get enough. Not very expensive to get in. Cost me approx 12 pounds for me and 3 kids. Theres a go kart area, crazy golf, sand pit, pony rides, animals to see, you can hold some chicks or pet hamsters or rabbits. Theres a small enclosed play area for toddlers plus a small soft play area and a cafe with limited food but ok. Also a tuck shop where you can buy food for animals, gifts for kids and ice creams etc. Easily spend hours here and not worry about where your kids are as its an open but enclosed area.Summer 2022 back againSoft play area now open. Toddlers play area is a delight with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. We arrived after 1 but didnt see any chicken just eggs in incubator. Indoor animal section could do with a bit more variety bit otherwise a nice place cant fault it. There is also a new indoor information area where kids can milk a fake cow 🐄
MoreIt was an absolute joy to take our grandaughter. Theres lots to see & do & very reasonably priced. The staff we came across were very friendly & informative. Will definitely give it another visit. Lovely day out would highly recommend.
MoreGreat place to take the kids, animals well kept, affordable entrance price
Took our son for his birthday, he really enjoyed seeing all the different animals. Nice little park and a soft play area which he loved just as much.Great place, will definitely take him again.
MoreGreat to see little ones out in the fresh air enjoying the farm, facilitys and animals. Small playground, soft play, cafe and picnic areas too.
MoreLovely place to visit and see the animals.
Lovely place for little ones . Climbing frames, soft play, crazy golf , little village, sand pit , maze, larger park for 8-12yr olds ish. But they sell you animal food as you come in and on our visit there wasnt any animals we could feed. Lots of signs stating special food!!!.Small cafe not overly priced but we took a picnic.Id say maybe it was the time of year but more of a leisure park than a farm.
MoreMy day out today was absolutely shocking. First of all I was appalled by the workers and children abusing the rabbits and I could physically see them shaking. There poor rabbits were surrounded by devious snot nosed children grabbing them at any chance they could get. This is down right animal cruelty and I can’t believe this is happening in broad daylight. Also i went to the cafe and the slushies were terrible to say the least. After about two minutes of drinking my slush it turned to ice I hadn’t even got half way down my drink about 10 sips if you ask me. That wasn’t the only problem my drink tasted of petrol and the straw broke after 5 minutes. What kind of service is this. I will not be returning to this monstrosity. Good day.
MoreLovely little farm and a nice sunday activity
Great day out with lots to do, cafe is reasonably price and has good selection. Plenty of animals to see, interactions with the kids for the smaller animals and then theres the likes of horses and donkeys in the fields which will eat food out of your hands (you can buy food from the shop £1 a bag). Play areas are great fun as well.
MoreJust moved to the area in the past few weeks so we wanted to visit our local farm, can I say Newham Grange didnt disappoint! My 4 children absolutely loved our day out from the animals to the sand pit, golfing, karts, outdoor play, a maze theres genuinely so much to do. they were absolutely gutted when it was time to go home and my little girl even cried. We are considering buying an annual pass to possibly come along once a week for a family day out. Cant compliment this farm enough. Just a select few photos from our day.
MoreWe visited today and had a lovely experience. Every time we visit theres something new to see which is a bonus! My daughter had a great time- the staff were lovely and good with the kids too! Its nice that the kids can still pet the animals this makes such a difference x
MoreFriendly and educated staff. Lots for the kids to do and the animals are well taken care of.We returned again a couple of years later and the kids had a great time again! Adding some additional photos.
MoreThis is a fab place for adults and kids, we went for spooktacular Event. We carved pumpkins and one of the lovely guys helped as I was on my own with 3 children and that made life a little bit easier that day. The ladies in the gift shop were so nice and friendly too. There was a mini maze, sand pit, crazy golf and lots of animals to see and feed as well as spooky storytelling and witch/wizard school that day. My son won a prize for his costume and received a prize for a return visit and we cant wait to go back.
MoreGreat farm experience. The Halloween part was good, although the kids would have liked bigger pumpkins. All round good value for money and we will go again.
MoreLots of animals to see and good play areas. They also have lots of Picnic areas and a nice cafe, overall a great cheap day out!.
MoreReasonably priced visit to a lovely farm on our doorstep. Its always a delight seeing the animals, but theres so much more to do. Excellent outdoor trim trail/play area with crazy golf, a willow maze, pedal go karts, a sand pit, a beautiful indoor educational centre with interactive activities and bees to boot! We bought gifts in the gift shop and snacks from the friendly cafe. Staff were very helpful and patient dealing with Guinea pigs, rabbits and young children! Lots of cleaning stations and sanitisers and the whole farm itself was very clean and well maintained. We were especially lucky to catch a visit from mascots Dan and Daisy! Loved it!
MoreGreat place and amazing value lovely animals. Crazy golf, go karts, sandpit and fabulous playarea
MoreWhat a great way to spend the afternoon, pre booked tickets online coming in at around £27 for 4 adults and 3 children. Play area was great, not cramped and in different sections for the age groups, covered sand pit was a godsend as the weather was a scorcher, mini golf available for free as were the little peddle gokarts...fantastic, a lot of places would charge extra for this so I take my hat off to the owners for including these little touches in with the price. We purchased some bags of food and got to feed some of the animals that were able to reach us over the fencing. We got to see rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, one lone chick that had hatched earlier than its sibling eggs, pigs, goats, horses, lambs, lamas and the chickens and peacock were a massive hit with the kids. Little cafe on site to provide nice cold refreshments, We appreciated that certain changes and limitations have had to occur due to covid but this place is a little gem. Well worth the visit, well worth the money, a gem of a place and a very welcome and lovely afternoon for the family.
MoreFantastic farm, definitely worth the money. The animals are great to look at and feed (the ones youre allowed towith goats and sheep happily eating from your hands. Theres multiple play parks throughout, horse rides and a great cafe. Family friendly throughout and amazing staff!
MoreA lovely farm to spend time in. We usually spend 1.5-2 hoursand dont do all the activities. There are lots of things to do like mini golf, ride on tractors, several play areas outside and a soft play inside, sand pit, a maze and den building. If you take a picnic or purchase from the cafe, there are plenty of benches and picnic tables to sit on.You can buy food in the shop and feed all the animals except horses (and lambs). Although some animals you cant reach to feed. We find 2 bags of food plenty. Its a lovely farn to visit and highly recommended it.
MoreChristmas event was magical .my grandchildren loved it and staff were amazing as always . Well worth a visit anytime
MoreA lovely small farm! A wonderful way to spend a morning. Alas you cannot pet the small animals at the moment (which is totally understandable), but there is still lots to see and do! Lovely animals, excellent play equipment, we will be coming back!
MoreLovely little farm. Plenty of animals all looking happy. You can feed sheep, goats etc also handle baby chicks in the discovery barn. Good entry price and the gift shops great . There is Cafe on site but is pricey and not a massive selection so bring a picnic, The farm also has play area, go cart type bikes, a maze and mini golf, a soft play and loads more. Great morning/afternoon out.**Review based on our first visit here.. we visited again on reopening with Covid restrictions and although some bits were closed there was still loads to do and still a great day out
MoreVisited here on 09/08/20 after booking via the online system due to the COVID-19 mitigation measures. We were greeted at the gate on arrival and our confirmation QR code scanned to confirm our booking and the animal feed we bought. We were then advised on where to park and to proceed around the farm following the one way system. Although the shop was closed, there was still plenty of animals to see and activities for the kids. I felt safe; the reduced numbers meant there was little to no crowding. The only busy areas was the outdoor play park adjacent to the cafe and pedal tractors. The one-way system worked well and really allowed you to see all the farm has to offer. Overall was really impressed with both the farm itself, the knowledge and helpfulness of the staff, the quality of the food from the cafe and the COVID-19 mitigation measures. We will definitely return as a family.
MoreTook my 2 year old daughter n she loved it could of stayed there all day of it wasnt for the cold weather defiantly be going back when the weather is better and will make a day of it
MoreIts s pretty cool little place tucked away in the least expected place ever. They have expanded a lot over the recent years and now accommodate quite a lot of new animals. Theres plenty to do for the kids and its amazing for taking the kids out. Definitely worth a visit!Theres a coffee shop and plenty of benches for a picnic if you decide to have that instead.Enjoy!
MoreGreat day out kids loved it lots to keep them entertained , great entry price as most places are so expensive... cafe good range of foods and drinks home made cakes also good prices, loads of picnic area s too.
MoreThe Mrs enjoys her animals, so we often find ourselves at these small family farms. Best bit is we dont have any kids. The admission is only £4 which is a good price and cant be moaned at.Our visit didnt take long, 30-40 minutes. Which is fine as we had no kids. I think if you had kids you would definitely be here longer.. Theres a fantastic range of out door play equipment for kids. That would occupy them for ever.A huge selection of animals to see, piglets, sheeps, goats, chickens, donkeys and horses. The donkeys were the highlight for us, especially the young one.Only groans are the double fencing preventing you from getting close to the animals and feeding them. Theres no real necessity for that fence. The feed for the animals isnt the best, only the donkeys seem to enjoy it.Good visit, really did it enjoy it.How about a small selection of produce to buy?
MoreA lovely place for a family outing. There are loads of animals to pet and feed and a huge play area to keep the kids occupied. Theres a cafe with cakes and roasted sandwiches if you get hungry.
