Food and prices were okay. Cleanliness of the place was okay. But I was totally impressed with their level and quickness of service. Received my meals within 5 minutes, whenever the curry was about to finish a waiter noticed and brought extra curry, and as soon as i moved away from the table after eating they cleaned the table. I havent seen this level of service in any restaurants in Colombo. Highly recommend to visit this restaurant just to experience the service.

Great place to taste a good vegetarian lunch. Not much curry options, but worth the money. 360 by the time i went. Got extra rice and curry when needed. The moor and payasam was superb. Try the place.

This hotel is one of a pure vegetarian hotel. Very good shortlist, and good lunch. More people are like this place. But now some time unavailable foods. Because country situation.

I like the parata with kurma and for that you had to visit between 7am-9am or 6:30pm-8:30am

Good South Indian Vegetarian food, reasonable prices and friendly staff.

Taste was good and budget friendly.

So today we 6 people went to the saraswathi cafe which is located in sea street area Colombo, and we had a very extreme level of service and management where they treated us in a way is not good to say and they management timing is very poor but the waiters treated us in a very good way and the management gave them all very high pressure of work for the staffs.As our perspective, the food was good and the management doesnt care about the customer satisfaction. So please be calm until your order is arrived otherwise you all gonna be furious😂

One of the few BEST small time Indian cafes offering the usual South Indian tray of goodies such as Vada, Thosa, Idly and the rest. Their tea and snacks are truly divine. Reasonably priced as well.

I had a nice cup of milk tea in dabara set it was wonderful experience .you feel like you are somewhere in South India the food is good .

Food is very good but the price is little bit high for family good vegetarian restaurant

We had few times dinner from this restaurant and didnt have any issue but yesterday we three of us consumed masala dosa with ulundu WADA and unfortunately, all three of us fell sick in midnight and until now we feel the same. I too agree that they keep the place fairly well but beyond that we consumers dont have any knowledge on their hygienic conditions.

Very clean and friendly service. Food was very light for stomach (healthy food).Even though the prices are high, it is justified with the quality of food and service.

It looks well organised. The owner is paying considerable attention on the cleanliness of the restaurant. It is a good sign. The taste of Ulundu wade and Dahl wadei is highly appreciated. But they charged me 40% excess for wade and tea. Comparatively it is expensive as many restaurants serving indian foods are ample in the vicinity. Probably the owners must be trying to save their expenses during the Corona epidemic. But it is at the expense of economically back ward citizens.

The best vegetarian cafe in Pettah Colombo. For budget people’s.. the lunch also good in price.One of the best food I have ever tasted. The colors and the gravy combinations was perfect. IAnd the price was affordable with there service. The customer really poor.No wonder how they got grade A for there restaurant.

One of the best food I have ever tasted. The colors and the gravy combinations was perfect. I enjoyed it with my eyes before eating. And the price was affordable with there service. The customer service also was good. No wonder how they got grade A for there restaurant. It was non-veg but no issues at all. So clean aswell. Awesome. Five stars from me.

Very worst nadu rice(low quality,no taste as watermeal causing stomach upset.dry fish used in curries.not a vegetarian hotel."paayaasam" like water, rasam and curries also cant tolerable.prices are too high.waste of money

Good standard veg food...Love itBut everything we need to tell they bring.If finished the we need order again.For example.. if we want eat vadai tell them to bring they ask how many?Everything they ask how many...If we get more vadai..we cannot return we need to pay everything.But food is very tasty..

This is one of the oldest Vegetarian Cafe in Colombo and one of the best. Its an eating joint so dont expect anything fancy. The best Dosa and Chappatis can be found here accompanied by some great veg curries!

I love that place, my first impression about that place was not very nice because of congested road and traffic. But when I entered , seated and ordered I felt relax.We ordered here #vegetarian-thali , and #masaladosa , and than I cant stopped myself . No doubt new Saraswati cafe is best #vegan restaurant of Colombo. Taste of both dishes was awesome and I eat alot.And the bill was quite #pocket-friendly and it made me more happy 😊The place is #Accessibile for everyone and specially for the people who have different abilities.#letsguide

One of best South Indian food having here, friendly staff and not much expensive. Only problem is to find parking place as it located busiest portion of Colombo city.
