Absolutely delicious food! The best beef fajita meat Ive had in a long time. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. The Ranchero sauce was also soooo good. Will definitely come back.

Its a good place to eat. They need to come up with a better breakfast menu. What they offer is the same food with adding this or taking away that.

Shrimp Diablo was super tiny and burnt. The beef fajita wasnt beef fajita. My chicken wasnt cooked all the way 48.00 dollars later and terrible service. I will not be back and dont recommend it to anyone. The first and last time Ill ever come here.

Friendly staff but food wasnt that good

The food is good when and only when they get your order right. The person. Who put ours together spoke very little English and when we complained the third time the manager told me I needed to make up my mind. Also if you want flour tortillas make sure you tell them 10 times and double check anyway. I wish I could give them zero stars for lousy customer service and zero order accuracy

Had to wait quite a while to get waited on and the restaurant wasnt all that full. Food was acceptable.

Food is over priced compared to the quality. To go orders are very seldom right. Breakfast burritos are always 99% egg no matter what you order.

It was okay I had better and they didnt even have orange juice they were giving you Tang

Tacos are lacking but fajitas and jarmica are always on point.After going here several times I still stand by the fajitas and jarmica

Tacos and main course dinners were served quickly and hot. The dishes overflowed with food leaving us all well fed and in a pleasant food coma. I highly recommend ordering the menudo at the very least to sample.

it’s an amazing restaurant. i’ve only ordered delivery but the food is always tasty and my order is always accurate.

The last time I order a Taco Salad from them was 2 years ago and the meat tasted old and the taco shell burnt.They haven’t disappointed… it’s still as bad.

My experience sucked too long to type... Not worth my time. They did recook my food though. No coordination, blamed everything on the new girl who was the cash register lady new waitress. The other girls were on their phones, I know because I cought her when I went and ask for my tortillas because I had been waiting for 10 minutes. Any who food sucked. New waitress seemed to be the only one who cared.

So I had the whole package here and everything was top tier. Had a strawberry daiquiri. Which was of course probably one of the best Ive had. Had a lengua (tonguetaco and a carnita taco. I use these meats as like my big judging picks becasue not many can get it right and they knocked it out of the park. Lastly I had the Menudo and oh my god it was beyond good. Like made by your abuela good. Top tier will probably stop by every time I come through Gatesville!

The food a really good one of the best in Gatesville. -- 9 months later I just cant get enough of the food. I buy the salsa to take home and use it like gravy.

Very good food but like most places dishes described as spicy arent but they are good. If you leave hungry thats on you because portions are large too...

Very good food and service. Attentive server and there was a man going around asking if things were good at every table. Highly recommend for anyone in the area or traveling in that area.

My wife & I ordered breakfast burritos to go as we were on a road trip. They were Awesome 👌 👏 👍!! The salsa Verde in the little cups goes great with them.

I had the Taco salad with chicken fajita topping. It was very good. The shell was crispy and fresh as was the lettuce. The frozen margarita was plentiful with the tequila!

Nice experience! They have wonderful, tex-mex food. Their refried beans had a great flavor far different from other restaurants in the area. The taco meat seasoning used for the tacos, etc was nicely done. The salsa was exceptional with tomato and cilantro flavors obvious. The tea was freshly made. I will be back

Went to eat there with my daughter on Mothers Day after she got off work. I called them to find out what time they closed. I was told 10 PM. We get there about 8:30 or shortly after. Ordered our drinks, when the waitress came back with the drinks she took our order and told us they close in 15 minutes. I explained that I had called and was told they closed at 10 PM. If they had told me 9 we would not have come. She states the grill closes in 15 minutes, we stated that was fine that we wouldnt need anything else after our food. We got our food, the order was wrong but we didnt complain about that, we just made sure we were charged correctly. Waitress was watching us like a hawk to clear our table as soon as we pushed our plate away, not because she was an extremely good waitress but because she wanted us to leave. At 9 PM she brought us the bill, I told my daughter to not rush, because I called before coming and was told they close at 10, she is being rude about wanting us to leave and trying to rush us out. A couple of females had come in and sat behind us and she hollers across the room telling them they are closed, the girls states their sign says they are open, the door says they dont close until 10 and that it says online they are opened until 10. Then they say well, the grill is closed. The lady says we dont want food we just want drinks. They refused to serve them even though it is still during operating hours. Me and my daughter sat and finished our drinks, as we were talking and finishing up our drinks the waitress came back over to get payment of meal. My daughter told her to quit rushing us and she will bring it up to register when we are finished. The waitress said we are closed. At that time, I said," I called to see what time you close, I was told 10 pm. Your door says 10 pm, your open sign is still on and there are still customers in here. I will not be rushed out of here when there is still 45 minutes till closing, our food was wrong but we ate it anyway and just made sure you adjusted the ticket. There are still other customers in here, you are not going to rush us. She smarted off that she has a family and wanted to leave and walked away. This was the worst service I have ever had at Rodeo. If your hours of operation have changed then it needs to be updated and the customers need to be made aware. But you dont try to rush them out just because you want to leave. very poor customer service.

This place is pretty good. Charro beams are great. I always get fajitas at Mexican restaurants, and while theirs taste good ( beef the meat is a little over cooked and in tiny pieces.

Food was nothing to rave about, and the service was unbelievably bad! It took 25 minutes for them to prepare my order. I was the only customer there. The breakfast taco tortilla was burned. The chips and queso were cold. They charged me for the salsa verde I requested, but it turned out to be salsa roja. I wont be going back.

All good things must come to an end one day. I use brag so hard about this place now I regret ordering from here thinking to myself I should have believed the comment made 4 weeks ago. Its true whatever new thing theyre doing its not good. The chips are stiff and the salsa tastes cheap like tomatoe paste. The charro beans used to taste like heaven now its just ok nothing exciting. I ordered the chimichunga there was more cheese sauce than the gravy. Besides favor messing up the order instructions and not responding to my concerns on time due to high volume 🙄 the food wasnt worth the hype anymore.

New Rodeo is always a solid choice when in Gatesville. The salsa is soooo dang good and the food is excellent! I go here often with my wife. I usually order the #12 Super Molcajete. It is extremely tasty and I highly recommend it. The service is always excellent and the staff is accommodating and friendly. Love this place!

Chips hard,stale and taste like reused chips,hot wings are a no too. The service is great but I cant get full on service. Tried this place several times hoping for good food, this place is a hit and miss for good food. Never going back after this time.e

Chips hard and tough. Salsa tasted like tomato sauce with sugar in it with very few onions..no seasoning..fajitas were chopped so fine almost needed a spoon to eat them with..shrimp was very fishy tasting..bell peppers and onions tasted like they were soaked in sugar. Dr. Pepper was flat. Will not go back again..only went because of good reviews which must have had different cook or they changed their way of cooking. Horrible.

The food here is always good and the service is unbeatable. Love coming here with my family for a nice meal thats affordable.

Was a terrible experience. Got no refills on drinks, chips, or salsa. Employees were all playing on phones watching videos, laughing, eating food rather than attending to there customers. The chimichanga was doughy and not fried like it should be. We were the only people on the restaurant and it took at least an hour for our food while they laugh and play. Never going back.

I’ve eaten here a couple times and had mixed results. The first time I ordered the tamales and was pretty disappointed. Had that been my only experience this would have been a 2 star review. They were about as far from an authentic tamale that you can get. The second time I got the tampequena and it was excellent. The carne asada was very good, the enchilada was very good, and the rice and beans were great as well. I would say overall 3.5 to 4 stars.

Amazing breakfast. Great resteraunt. Amazing waitress. Delicious food. Fair prices. Came by this gem becaause of a job we did in the area. Coming back to finish the last part and will be returning here for breakfast again!

Decent food.Albeit a bit crowded for comfort, their service and food are good. They serve alcohol and mixed drinks, have live music on certain nights and I think their food has even improved along with their neat looking custom booths and tables.They have a drive up window, take out and look for their daily food and drink specials.

They have a new cleaner appearance but the younger staff likes to joke around a little too loudly. The food was still wonderful, I always forget to say no mushrooms. The salsa was wonderful but they could definitely have a substitution for sour cream instead of guacamole seeing as it is cheaper. Most places should do it but they dont.

We are never disappointed at this restaurant. The New Rodeo Mexican Grill has never let us down... Lunch and dinner.. Ya cant go wrong here. Best margaritas around.. Very tasty and large for the price u pay. And well, words cant describe the food..u wont know how really good it is until u go try it for yourself. Plus, everywhere I go taste is the most important, but second in line is the service and these girls here are just so sweet, and just have such an upbeat and uplifting attitude.. They always smile and everytime we go, the waitresses and us always have many laughs. Cant go wrong here.

Pretty good food, decent prices, friendly service.

Overall a very good visit. Salsa, chips and queso were good. Food was good, flavorful and delicious. Service was good, given with a smile and prompt. The only downside is that we happened to visit on the one night they have a live mariachi band and their playing made it almost impossible to have regular conversation.

The atmosphere and staff are friendly. The food is okay. I ordered a steak chalupa but it was not what I expected. It was salty and it was put on a hard shell. I advise people to understand what they are ordering because you could end up like me, paying a steep price for something you didn’t like.

The best Menudo Soup 🍵 Ever in my life... I live in Houston and some times I wonder if I have to drive all the way to that place just to try it one more time😎along with the tripe tacos are the best I ever had🌮 in my life.

I enjoyed my Mexican Food. It tasted really good and the service was really good. I liked this place really good. I give it 4.7 stars but google makes me guvr 4 or 5. So 5 is much closer to 4.7 so I selected 5 stars as my google rating. I hope you enjoy my review and think its really good.

Atmosphere is a little on the downside, but the food was great. Great portions and great peach margaritas. I order the Texas mix fajitas but only got two flour tortillas with it. Wife order beef enchiladas and was very good. I also ordered cheese queso but it never arrived. Again while the looks of the place and some service issues, the place still had great food.
