Relaxed spot featuring a variety of Chinese & Asian dishes like hot pots, teriyaki & chop suey.
Hole in the wall bar. Ive been visiting this bar for 20years on rare occasions and apparently Im 86 from here. Bar tender couldnt tell me why and made herself look like a complete a** throwing a little girl fit when she yelled at me that I was 86 after I asked if last call had been called. So half the bar and myself partied outside in the parking lot.
I was there for lunch today! Worst Chinese ever! Chinese from Safeway is better! Bland fried rice, chowmein was basically Safeway style with 3, countem, 3 small chunks of chicken, the sweet and sour pork was barely passable! And they charged $3 for a pot of Chinese tea! And the hostess/ cashier/ server was about as pleasant as mud fence! My food wasnt even worth the trouble of boxing it up to bring home! Ill NEVER go back!!! If I could get away with a no star rating, I would!!!!!
Great service, enjoyed dinner.
Love this place. Fast service with a smile. Great prices. Yummy food.
First time to pickup order. It was cold and tasted awful. Not at all like it used to be. Won’t be back.
Love the Honey Walnut Chicken, and rices are both delicious!
Passing through town and stopped to make a take out order. Walked in and the waitress/front desk person ignored myself and the small party ahead of me. When she finally walked up she took a phone call instead of helping us. The guy in front of me commented that was bad service. She seated the small party. I asked for a menu and she said "over there" and walked away to go wipe down tables. I stood there waiting to order and she never came back so I just walked out and ordered from the place next door.Horrible service, happy to spend money elsewhere
Excellent service and outstanding food !!
I have been going here for over 10 years and is my favorite Chinese restaurant until last night. My sweet and sour soup was cold and thick. My almond fried chicken came out burnt. Then the next time no flavor and the gravy was watery. Plus had to pay for a pot of tea that was dark as black English tea. Could not have refills on the tea and the tea was not super hot.
Love this place! Always good food and friendly. Good drinks too! This is where we go for Chinese!
We drive from enumclaw just for new peking! Best fried rice, honey walnut shrimp and wonton soup, ever! Havent had a bad thing yet. Service is always fast and friendly.
The food here is wonderful. I havent had a dish I didnt like. We went on a Thursday hoping it wouldnt be too busy, but it just so happened to be a busy day for them. They only had one waitress so we had to wait a bit. She was a bit overwhelmed but I think handled it well. We will go again.
Food was good but portions are small. Since covid prices went up and portion smaller.
Amazing bar, probably one of the best karaoke spots around. Great vibes, and the bartenders treat you like family. Ill be coming back here anytime I make the trip to Bonney Lake.
Love this place. Great vibe in the bar, great Chinese food. Everything I’ve had here is awesome.
Didnt try the food, but my bar tab wasnt terrible, got to sing karaoke. And had a good night.
Bar said they could not serve “out of state IDs”. Iv travels to many states and many countries and never had such craziness
Only 4 stars as the ladies restroom was disgustingly filthy gross. Food was excellent.
My family has been coming here for years. They talked it up so much that I was excited. The food was bland and the service was horrible. My family apologized to me for how bad it was.The server walked always from us twice mid sentence twice. The fried rice was hard as rock.
Good food portions small. Still hungry when I left. Had honey walnut chicken.
The family took my parents here for mothers day 4 generations it was very good handicapped accessible and parking. We had loads of leftovers
New Peking in Bonney Lake is a real find! Great food, good prices and excellent service. Yum!
Edit: IVE NEVER WROTE SEVERAL MALICIOUS REVIEWS ABOUT YOUR RESTAURANT THIS IS THE FIRST TIME IVE EVER DONE SO, THAT STATEMENT IS FALSE AND LAUGHABLE. dont make up lies to make yourself look better.she was in fact our server, you the owner were no where to be seen? so Im not sure how you knew she was serving another table? You never came out or spoke to us? She was rude through and through. We in fact did give her very clear response that we wanted a refund, not one time did we "not respond to her". she did not apologize to us at all she was the one who didnt give a response to us. Everything i stated is true, im sorry you werent there to see what actually happened. We didnt want another dish or for it to be remade since there would have been absolutely no difference. If I could put a ZERO Star I would, we went in yesterday (3/5around dinner time to celebrate a birthday. Weve been eating at this New Peking for many many years, we were extremely dissatisfied. The food was so bland with absolutely no flavor at all, when I mean no flavor I literally mean no flavor, no spices, no heat no nothing. We couldnt even eat the food. It was so flavourless that we ended up telling a waitress there but that was also a mistake. She was so unbelievably unprofessional to the point that when we told her about the situation, she said and I quote "what do you expect me to do about that?" We were dumbfounded that she would even say that, no apologies no,oh Im sorry let me fix that or let me get the manager, absolutely nothing. She kept dodging the situation to the point that She even left without doing anything and we had to call her again and explain again that we werent going to eat this when theres no flavor. She wasnt going to do a thing until we asked to speak to the manager, then she finally decided to "help" us which really wasnt much help. We paid for the soup that we actually ate then left. We ended up losing our appetite as well. Like I said weve been going here for so so many years and this is the first time weve ever had a situation like that where we couldnt eat the food and had no help whatsoever. We could not believe the level of unprofessionalism or terrible customer service we experienced. Unfortunately we wont be eating there anymore and that definitely hurts since it was once a friendly restaurant with amazing customer service and food.
Been going to this place for 5 years, prior to kids and now I do have kids. Tonight my son who is 1, wasn’t screaming or crying but I admit was happy loud, we gave him food to distract him. However food ended up on the floor well because he is 1. On the way out to pay I apologized for the mess and tipped 25% because of it. As I paid and said sorry she said yes a customer was mad about him being loud and and next time to give us a special room. She said it was our fault for bringing him in. I found that a bit disrespectful, I know what loud is, but this was nothing un normal. It’s a part of life with kids, I’m sorry we inconvenienced you by going to a public restaurant. To wait to say anything tell we were walking out the door is unnecessary, if there is an issue than bring it up while we are there. I would have respected that more. Needless to say we will not be supporting this establishment again. Clearly it is not a family restaurant.
My kids are teenagers and they love this place. They walk 2 miles to come eat here with their friends. They absolutely love the food here. They are never disappointed in the food or service and always leave full. They always accommodate the needs with their likes and dislikes. Because we all know teens can be picky 😉.
Weve been coming here since 2003 and its always been good food, but today I choose to have my birthday celebration with family here and were very disappointed! The food was tasteless and flavorless. We used 1/2 bottle of soy just to have some flavor. I had been here 2 days prior for lunch and it was fine. What changed in 2 days time?
Service was almost non existent.Soups were cold, food was almost inedible. We were never asked for a drink order, never checked on and the bill was high. They only stay own open due to their bar.....
After I returned home no sauce on two orders ,that we had gotten a week before but totally different this time. My wife called to find out what happened and was very, very rude told you no like no eat!!! And hung up on. Fifty three dollars later guess what. We no eat there any more especially with that kind of customer service and neither should you. The bar is a great place with awesome service and drinks but do yourself a favor and stop by chevron for appetizers.
We came to the restaurant at 1 pm on a Saturday. It was dead silent and no one was in. Maybe should’ve been a clue. We ordered the chicken fried rice, bbq wontons, honey almond chicken, and sweet and sour pork. We were very happy with my hot and sour soup and the wontons, and expected great entrees. The pork meat was crunchy, you couldn’t bite through it at all. It was horribly sinewy and over fried. My husband tried four pieces to see if he could find a good one and spit every single one out. The almond chicken was mostly veggies and veryyy tiny pieces of chicken you couldn’t even find, but was alright tasting. The fried rice tasted like reused rice from the past few days. Needless to say, it was a disappointing experience and, unfortunately, the worst Chinese food experience I’ve ever had. Maybe it would be better if you go in the evening when things are fresh, but we’re not going to try it ever again lol.
The food was great - as usual. We had the Cantonese family meal plus crab wontons. However, I WAS disappointed with the tea, which used to be strong, flavorful, and plentiful. This time, it was extremely weak (as in, "I wonder how many batches of tea have been made from the same leaves" weak AND free refills are no longer available.
IN MY PERSONAL OPINION!!!!Not covid friendly... In other words, yes the workers wear masks but there is no social distancing and I saw a worker wearing gloves, go to the restroom, with their gloves still on, used the facilities, then went out with the same gloves on and went to the kitchen
Great service and tasty food.
First time here, purchased bbq pork, pork chow mein, and pork fried rice. I received some weird dark Brown noodles in my chow mein, nothing like Ive ever received at a chines restaurant before, it was disgusting too. The pork fried rice was very white. Would not come to this place again.
My wife & I had dinner in the bar. Food wasnt great but it was busy & the waitress was attentive once she realized we had snuck in and sat down. Seems like a fun place to check out 9n the weekends. I was told they have karaoke.
Ordered Christmas Eve dinner early to make sure we got our food in time. When I got to the restaurant they were overwhelmed with orders! Lots of people waiting outside and clearly they didn’t anticipate such a busy night. The gal working was trying as hard as she could to accommodate everyone and their questions about why their order wasn’t ready. We ended up leaving and our order was prepared an hour and a half after our scheduled time. The food was great as usual. What I witnessed outside and in the lobby of the restaurant was crazy. People were so rude. Come on everyone it is 2020 after all, f your food is late, it just kind of goes with the flow of the year. Be kind..... everyone is in the same boat. 4 stars for service and a million stars for how the employee handled all the customers!!
They served my dad drinks until he was so hammered that he crashed his car and got a dui. I just thank God no one was seriously injured or killed. I always would be my dads designated driver, and would always be sure to remind every one of the bartenders that if my dad showed up without me or someone else who was going to drive him to not let him drive drunk. But it did me no good.
I have the general sales lemon chicken chicken chow mein steamed rice and egg roll and wonton soup. They was all very good I think Ill be going there at least once a week
Ordered dinner to go for nine people and did not receive half our food. Spent almost $200 there!! I called to inform them (my son picked it upthat the order was wrong. The manager was so rude and didn’t want to listen, kept telling me I don’t know anything about Chinese food orders and then hung up on me. Called her back and she hung up on me again. Omg!!!! My sister tried calling her back 20 mins later and the damn lady hung up on her too.I’ve never had such bad customer service.I’m taking my business to the Red Lotus in Auburn
The BBQ pork was hard and dry and not edible, it snapped in half! The broth from the soup tasted like refrigerator, I only had a few bites , but that was enough to make me sick half the night! When we called all they could say was ok. Giving them 1 star is being generous.
Went to meet my friends from Olympia. I dont drink so I had coffee and got to spend time with them and my bff (Tonya). Our bartender was excellent. Very pleasant and polite. Was there around 12:30pm. Have eaten there before and it was excellent food. Great portions and very tasty.
Truly where to start. You know how you get Chinese at Safeway and you think it is terrible Chinese and it is, the New Peking is so much worse.I forgot that my lunch came with fried shrimp as everything was swimming with sweet and sour sauce. The best part of the meal was the hot tea and fortune cookie.Avoid this place.
Went here for the first time today. Its maybe not the most authentic Chinese food, but I was pleasantly surprised. I had the breaded Almond Chicken and it was quite good. And it was a HUGE amount for the price, so I got an extra meal. Could probably have even stretched it to 3 meals. No problem with Service around 1:00 PM and the food arrived quickly.
Love this place. I have been coming back for 20 yrs. I make the drive from the Federal Way area because their food is exceptional. I give it a 4.8 star rating. The good is always fresh and I have turned many a friend on to them, and they also make the drive.
Ordered for take out hot and sour soup and bbq noodle soup and it was awful. This is second time I went here and first visit hot and sour soup delicious but this time so watered down neither soup has any flavor. I gave a 2 Star because the dumplings I ordered on side were just fine. I will not be going back.
Had reservations and didnt even get water after nearly an hour of waiting. One person with us waited 2 hours for his meal. Were were left forgotten in the corner. Ordered orange chicken and it was general tsos, was rudely told that theyre basically the same. I understand it was busy, but dang. 2 stars because its Christmas Eve.
Really nice staff. Excellent food, always fresh and appealing to the eye. Im a sucker for hot and sour soup and they do a fine job. The Four Seasons is a great platter at a great price and has quite the variety. Family and I come here all the time; whether dining in or taking out, never disappointed. Would highly recommend to a friend and will definitely be eating again here soon. Have a pleasant experience.
They make everything fresh. Fried food wasnt greasy, rice was perfect, and specialty dishes were amazingly flavorful. Pot stickers were hand made and steamed - was not expecting this level of quality and effort outside of the city - reminds me of NYC Chinese delivery (the best)! Truly great experience.
Im posting this review after my third visit to this restaurant. Each and every time my partner and I have dined here we have always left pleasantly satisfied. The service is prompt and all the staff weve interacted with have been professional and courteous. I dont think Ive ever had to ask for a refill and they also box up your leftovers for you. The restaurant is clean and well kept which is always something to appreciate. The food is excellent! Their Generals chicken is a must have. It has always been fried perfectly and evenly sauced. Another favorite is the Mongolian Beef! We havent ordered anything that we werent happy with. This will become my new go to place for delish Chinese food.
Lets address some of these bad reviews first. Quite a few had great experiences. One said even 8 times and once was bad. I dont believe that merits a 1 star review. Also, excuse me crazy lady ....the general Sao chicken is the best ever. Its crispy and evenly spicy .... Ive had it 3 times now. I actually steal some of my partners rice every time so I can soak up the sauce and eat it.Great service. Sometimes a little unorthodox but I love that about them.Top it off we left our box and the waiter ran out before we left.I think the moral of the story is if you get bad service here you were probably a jerk lol but no seriously everyone has off days. Definitely give these guys a try. You wont regret it.
The food and the restaurant is good! Order their honey almond chicken! The bar tender they hired ignored us because it was too busy for just one person. It took forever to order our food. In fact as I am writing this, she still hasnt taken our order. Could just be a rough night but if youre coming for a bite and a quick drink. Perhaps go to a different bar! Just warning you...20 minutes later... Still waiting.
