Amazing food! Can never go wrong with this place
One of the best and finest food in Medellin! Packed with lots of flavour! Will definitely come again!
This was my first time in Medellin and I tried them out. Customer service is the best I have gotten so far and the food is equally amazing. If you in Medellin and need some spicy Indian cuisines, you definitely have to check them out .
A great place for a great Indian curry. Perfect food and service. Good portions and variety. Would definitely recommend. Wish we were staying here for longer to enjoy it all again.
The food is absolutely phenomenal. Visitting from toronto where there is a plethora of Indian restaurants. The portion sizes are slightly smaller than I expected but the food was so flavourful and amazing. Very authentic. One Of our group was Indian and even he thought this was some of the best Indian food you ever had.Fair warning when they ask if you want it spicy, if you get it spicy it brings the heat.
Excellent authentic food. Better than most of the Indian spots in NYC. Portions arent huge but food was good and service was excellent. Owner even came over to talk to us and ask if everything was to our liking. 6 stars!
Excellent food and service! I had Butter Chicken and it was wonderful!
The food was very good and we could tell that it was freshly made. The portions were on point as well.
Really good Indian food. It was spicy as we like it. Definitely recommend it
This is what $10 USD of butter chicken buys you here. It tastes now it looks.
Was craving some spicy food and saw this spot while walking in poblado. I was hesitant at first thinking the food may not be very authentic but wow it was perfect! Traveling abroad I miss my Indian food and this hit the spot. I ordered the chicken tikka masala and naan. Also ordered hummus as well, everything tasted amazing. I highly recommend this place when visiting Medellin!
Love the food here, especially the chicken curry. Dont forget to ask for spicy :)
the food is very good, if your looking for this type of food in medellin this is the place to go! i been here a few times and i will definitely go again!
We came across this restaurant through a referral when visiting medellin and we were absolutely delighted with the variety of dishes they catered to our needs. Staff was very polite, happy and efficient. Highly recommend the lamb biriyani and lamb curry. If you are looking for a taste of South Asian flavor in medellin this is a must go to spot.
The food is delicious. The service was awesome as well. I would really recommend if you are in the area. It is worth it!!
It was our first time in medellin and we wanted a taste of home so we went here. The owner and his staff are amazing hosts, made us feel welcome like we were family. The food is fantastic and you can go for a late night visit too. We had a group of 10 who all loved it. We will def stop by everytime we are in the city.
Maybe this is what they call Indian food in Medellín but it was absolutely terrible. In my opinion, it tasted like preprepared canned sauce with added salt. Couldnt finish it. Rice wasnt even Asian, just normal rice. I wish I took a picture because presentation was -3. Would not recommend or return. The only good thing I can say is that it didnt make me sick. Good luck. 🤢
My first time in Medellin and I was craving authentic Indian food. Found it at New Merch Masala. The menu was easy to read and the food was delicious. I ordered the Naan with one of their traditional curries. Highly recommend NMM to anyone looking for authentic Indian food.
This place is amazing, absolutely loved the food.I’ve had Indian food almost everywhere and this is one of the most authentic tasting places that I’ve been to. The service was amazing and the owners are super nice and honest. 10/10 experience , if you’re visiting Medellin I highly recommend you check this place out.
Great Food!!! This is my second time eating here and I will return. Price is good. Portions are on point. The customer service is amazing. The place is clean.
Great authentic Sri Lankan food! We went there a few times during our stay in Medellin and they did not disappoint! A must go!! :)
I love this place. There are only a few Indian restaurants in town, and this one is one of my favorites. The owner is Sri Lankan and very nice, and speaks English. I loved the samosas and the vegetable curry. Oh, and the spice level is on point.
It may look like a regular restaurant but the food overthere is realy good big dishes, plus when your waiter is the big guy with us in the photo u will love every moment in there Thank u alberto 🤘
Delicious, tasty, authentic indian cuisine! Service is on point, very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend!
Best food on the street. If you like real flavor and not boring food like the rest of the street please come here. Also great customer service
Amazing food and service by this gem of a restaurant in Medellin! The food tasted like authentic Indian food, as our entire party enjoyed every bite.
Amazing food, great owner and staff! A definite must try in Medellin and that’s coming from someone who’s eating many Indian dishes. Definitely give this place a try when in Medellin
Of course, this is not really an Indian restaurant - its Bangladeshi/Pakistani, but thats the usual marketing that these places use. Anyway, the food was OK. The naan wasnt actually a fresh naan, but something from a packet. Good service though and friendly staff.
We came across this restaurant while looking for halal options and craving desi food during our time in Medellin. I am beyond thrilled to have come across New Mirch Masala. The service was impeccable along with the food! We got chicken biryani and it was super tasty as well as the chicken curry, but our favorite had to be the daal tharka! This restaurant is a must try!
Delicious and super flavourful! Perfect dishes for sharing. My boyfriend and I had the wings, butter chicken and chicken vindaloo. Great price, friendly staff and awesome food.
The food was incredible. My favourite food in Colombia (and i have been here for 3 months). We had the lamb curry and biriyani. Even the fries were delicious. Highly reccomend if youre looking for 5 star food and service
Please DO NOT eat here if you’re looking for authentic Indian cuisine. This is very much Colombian food disguised as Indian food. The sad part is it wasn’t even good enough to eat. A total waste of money.
Great tasting curry. Recommended to everyone to try.
Highly recommended! Great & spicy dishes, one big celebration of tastes. Amazing service. Right in the middle of calle 10.
very good actually taste like real India 😁
Oh my gosh! First off, the food was so damn good and its located right in the tourist area.As a canadian I appreciate good service and food and its passed my standards!
The food is amazing and definitely worth trying! The dishes taste authentic and I have tried food from very high end restaurants here on Toronto. I will come back again and would recommend anyone visiting and locals to come by for dinner or lunch.
If you are looking for a change from the local Colombian food.. I highly recommend this resturant. Its Indian cuisine with flavour and some spice. I ordered the butter chicken with Nan and some rice. Really delicious! Will come back again.
Horrible tasting food. Ordered butter chicken and was served soup. Mango lassi tasted like cheese. Took over 30 minutes for food to arrive.
Very nice place with very authentic flavor. Felt like the food I have in Toronto. The chappati bread is so tasty with the curry. It was a nice spicy change from arepas and whatnot. I believe it has new owners who have really turned this place into a flavor house. Delicious food and great atmosphere. If your in Medellin and like spicy food you got to check it out. Highly recommended!
Getting Indian food in Medellin is always nice, this place has decent vegetarian and non-vegetarian options and tastes good too.
So good! Great taste and portions. Much more balanced flavors compared to similar restaurants in town. They can make it as spicy or mild as you like! My new go-to spot for Indian food, and the owner is really nice too. This place was recently renovated and bought by new owners, so the previous bad reviews were for a different restaurant.
Really delicious Indian food in Medellin. Enjoyed the menu of the day which included soup, curry, rice, salad, raita, roti and juice. The service was super friendly. Would definitely come back!
If you like spice, this is the place. The owner and his family are very personable, and want to ensure you have A good dining experience. I miss the traditional naan bread, but the whole wheat options provided here are tasty. The owner makes his own beer, and chillies, which are hella spicy or maybe I am a wuss. The beer is a nice smooth English pale ale better than typical Colombian fare. Be warned, medium has kick, and the vindaloo is volcanic! Be sure to clearly state spice preference. It was nice of the owner to offer me some chillies in solicited to take home. This is the best of the two Indian places oi have tried on poblado so far.
“You’re my friend.”That’s the first thing Masala’s owner and chef Shakti said to me when he came by my table after I’d finished off his cant miss menu del dia. I was his friend because I was the first person in the year-and-a-half that his Indian/Nepalese restaurant has been open to have asked for “really spicy” and actually eaten the whole hot pepper he gave me to go with the already spicy lunch platter.Shakti told me he can’t find the spicy-enough peppers in Medellín so he grows them himself at his farm in Pereira. He also grows many other ingredients that he uses in his dishes, as well as coffee. Others, he imports from India.Regardless of whether you like spicy or not—Shakti caters to spicy-aphobes too—his work to get the right ingredients makes the menu del dia at Masala a must try and well worth the 15,000 COP price tag.I’m definitely going back, and not just because Shakti’s “my friend.”Menu del Dia Score: 9 (8 Value, 10 Quality)For 30+ more of the best menu del dias in Medellin, google "best medellin lunch specials" and check out our in-depth guide.
This is the worst place to have Indian Food in Medellin. Please save yourself a bad experience . Service was a disaster. The waiter didnt even greet us , talk about the rest of her skills as waiter !! The food took 45 minutes while there was ONLY 1 table at the place at our time!!!! Incredible. Then the worst part : our food had hairs in it. Please people, this is basic hygiene , your shouldnt be allowed to be in this industry if you dont comply with basic hygiene . The other dish was so absurdly spicy we could only eat less than half while crying out our eyes! Not worth it. Please if I can spare a bad time , dont go to this place!!!!
