New Bagamoyo Beach Resort in Bagamoyo

So great place

We went to this place a week ago. The entrance was 10000tsh which is a robbery since that part of town is dead. Anyway I saw the pool and it was all green in color. It was ALGAE. can you believe this resort didnt even take precautions in these times to take care of the hygiene. So we walked back to the entrance and I asked for the manager. The lady who took our money said that he had gone out. So I let her know what our issue was and all she could do is laugh. I asked her to return our money because we were hardly there for 15 mins...and all she did was laugh again. Maybe she thought I had a funny accent or something. AVOID THIS PLACE.

New management recently , no proper facilities or food varieties , food is expensive. Management need to do the best for improvement .. I hope in near future things will improve.. Location wise its one of the good place to go ..how ever service and Price should be improved.

Nice little place to relax a day out near the ocean away from home

Good day to all fan lover of New Bagamoyo beach resort, it as been closed for more than a year so please stop pretending you have been here. i know am the new owner of the place since then. it should be erase of the map of Bagamoyo and replace by the new name FUNKY SQUIDS BEACH RESORT. and dont mistake it from the other one (funky squids beach hoteli was also the owner and we officially closed it since April 1 2020. have all a great day reopening will be very soon. will give one start as previous management wasnt even deserve that after destroying it all.Sylvan

What a view! Unfortunately lame kitchen and staff (waiter brings special of the day menu but has to go back to find out what it actually is, just to come back abd inform that there is no special of the day today)..

A nice quiet and affordable getaway spot in Bagamoyo, not too far away from the town and its historic and cultural sites which we definitely got around to visiting, the bathroom was a bit basic but otherwise no other complaints.

They dont have good food

Not good value for money and the services and facilities offered are satisfactory but the staff are very good and the hotel has a good ambience to it.

The food at the restaurant and the location is excellent. The rooms that are the most expensive are very average , and I feel overpriced. The AC did not cool the room very well and the fan was very noisy.I have stayed nicer places for a cheaper price in Bagamoyo. The budget rooms are very simple and a cheap price, but clean and right by the ocean, but they do Not have a bathroom and a shower in them. It is necessary to walk and use public shower and toilet. Im not sure what the security is like at night. The area is not gated.

I spent a night at the Resort. Confortable and clean beds, excellent sea food, kindness of the staff and, more than all the rest, a magic, "retro" atmosphere, who brings you back in the time...If you, like me, like such bewildering emotion, thats the place!
