A stone palace from the late 1500s, with octagonal corner towers and a Baroque chapel added later.
Very beautiful place to see..You can see how old rich families lived there!!you can stay in one of royal rooms!!
Unfortunately didn’t have a chance to get inside. The castle looks gorgeous!Definitely will visit it again
Nice place to visit at Belorus! Better to take a guide especially if you are with children as he can make amazing advertising during the visit for the children of 9-12 days!( unfortunately we forget the name of the guide but he was just amazing!besides there are some extra things to do with children near the castle or just to sit with beloved person on a branch with the view on nice lake…
Beautiful 😍 place .
Very nice place to visit. There is hotel where people can spend a night like a royal family. The museum is very beautiful, it will give an idea about the family of Radziwill. Also the park is truly amazing.
Visited it about 10 years ago. Definitely one of the best historical places in Belarus. Theres a nice museum full of exhibits and the place itself is surrounded with mystery. However, there wasnt really much to do back then and Im not really a fan of such places, therefore, I give it 4/5.
Nice historical place, good place for a walk and rest
beautiful and peaceful place.. feeling yself as in little europe
Very nice castle in very good condition, it has a lot of interesting things inside
The best place in Belarus to visit. Rich halls inside, 4 wide gardens and handmade lake outside. This is one of those places, where you can see wealth and heritage of belarusian culture.
The castle is beautiful. It looks a bit too renovated though, and might have a lost its original vibe a bit
Very nice and faraway Castle about 100 km from MensikToday visit it in 29/8/2019
Extremely great and beautiful castle ! I have never seen anything like this before! Every step makes you wonder! Every room is more beautiful than previous. It is not like ordinary museum, it is like castle still inhabited by people. You can see furniture, dresses, paintings , curtains, bedrooms, even tables are set up for the dinner. You must visit it!
An ancient castle/palace well worth a day trip from Minsk. Can be combined with the more traditional castle of Mir.Lovingly restored and with a museum that resembles a visit to a British National Trust property , except that it seems never ending, helps give you a good idea what life was like for the rich nobles who lived here when it was owned by Lithuania, Poland, Belarus and also Nazi Germany and the Red Army for a while ( see the War memorial on the southern side, with an eternal flame, as you walk around the moat).Watch out for the incredibly detailed play theatre, with curtains, stage sets and loads more. What a toy. Beats the Lego Castle I had as a kid.Dress up as a 17th century lord or lady for that extra bit of fun, or if you have been over embibing on the local beer or incredibly cheap vodka.
Very professional restoration and beautiful grounds. I entered from the parking for hotel visitors. The ticket office was closed in the castle entrance and the guard did not understand my question as to where to go. There are poor markings for this information. A young man across the street at a period photo souvenir stand was helpful. I had to go to the other parking lot. When I finally got my ticket and entered, there was no instruction of where to go for the castle tour entrance. To be the number one tourist castle in Belarus the management here needs to improve the experience. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the grounds and the history. The miniature opera house was amazing.
Radziwill Castle holds the history of Belarus, Poland and Lituania all these three present nations under the Polish Commonwealth. Radziwill Princess were the close associates of the Holy Roman Emperor and held many battles together. Though the place of the Castle had not grown into a city, it always kept as the citadel of power. The exhibition one can observe here gives the history, members of the dynasty, the battles they have undergone and the daily of these Princess and Princesses. Made into a wonderful historical experience and explanation, if anyone wants to know the history of Belarus, visiting the castle is a must.
Very big castle for Belarus standards the museum is big and full of amazing artifacts, there is a short music performance during the tour by dressed up musicans, very recommended easy to understand the exhibits since there is an audio tour available in many languages.Walking around the castle in the gardens is a a must as well.I recommend to try the hash browns- daraniki in the stand near the entrance to the complex
A must-visit for every visitor of Belarus, and for Lithuanians in particular. There is no other building of Lithuanian nobility in such a well preserved state. 7 euros well spent.
One of the greatest examples of baroque architecture in the whole Eastern Europe. Has a beautiful park and a couple of ethnic restaurants nearby.Highly recommended for a visit (and, maybe, not even once).
Not my favorite Belarusian castle even though the outside looks fantastic and who doesn’t love a moat? The curation was a little outdated, it there was enough English to explain what you were looking at.
Certainly belongs on the UNESCO preserved list it was an amazing visit. Highly recommended I enjoyed the tour guide as well who spoke Flawless English.
Nesvizh Palace and Park Complex has been on the World Heritage List since 2005. One of the numerous properties of the wealthy Radziwill family, it evolved from a fortification into a luxury estate by the early 20th century. And after the restoration in the late 1990s and early 2000s, the palace became a branch of the National Arts Gallery with occasional theatre performances on weekends.
Amazing palace. Looks authentic, even most of the palace is reconstructed. Peaceful and eazy access. Recommended.
Excellent place to get involved with Belarus history.
Great example of boutique architecture. Castle is constructed more for living than for defense
Best castle in Belarus 🇧🇾. Worth a look, outside and inside.
Palace is more of the luxury style, not for the defence purposes. Interior is amazing. A must visit place for every offspring of the once existed Grand Duchy of Lithuania :)
The castle is pretty big and has a very nice courtyard. Went for the guided tour to the museum but find it a bit long and boring, as the guide pretty much explained every single exhibit, instead of the important items. It was also nice to walk around the park next to the castle
Absolutely gorgeous!! The story itself worth to go there!
Pretty cool castle - the park around it is a nice place to walk, and the castle itself is quite cool. The museum exhibit starts off with some really fantastic rooms, but gets a bit lamer as you move through it (i.e the chapel was less impressive, and many of the art pieces can be seen in the national museum in Minsk - the ones here are copies). Worth the trip out to visit, if you are spending a few days in Minsk and want to get outside the city!
Beautiful castle of the most powerful dynasty in Belarus, it had been restored in 2010. Now its a wonderful museum with charming and gorgeous parks. Visit it in the morning, when everything is little bit blurred with haze.
Impressive building and interiors following the renovation. The guides tell interesting history of the castle, reflecting the events in the region at the same time. A must when in Belarus!
Visited this place on my way from Minsk to Brest and was pleasantly surprised! Nicely and thoroughly renovated place! Many items inside to check for curious people. Additionally it is nice to have a walk around the castle, lake and park, fresh air. It is worth visiting!
One of the great and beautiful place to visit!
Very interesting palace for the whole of Central Europe. The ancestral home of the Radziwill family, nobles but never rulers. The main rooms open for visiting are very interesting and full of history.
Very clean and beautiful place! The castle itself is pretty compact, but the territory and nature around is wonderful. Pick at least 3-4 hours for this visit.
A nice place to visit if you’re in Belarus 🇧🇾The whole castle was restored so you can see it’s beauty !You can have guided visits, prices are not high ! Some staff are disguised when you get in.A unique place that will give you nice memories !
Excellent historical place. If you are tourist in Belarus you difenatelly should visit it. Pleasant atmosphere a lot of expanats, you will see whole the history of Radzivils
One of the best place to visit in Belorus
Amazing experience. Every single detail has been restored and it feels like its a kings home and not the museum. We had visited it in winter, but it was really worm and cozy inside. Performance of local singers in historical clothes was unexpected but great!
Good one, be careful though, during the fall time it closes at 8pm and they stop selling tickets and letting anyone in before 5pm so come in advance
Beautiful place, its my second time there. I just love to walk there
Out of the to castles this is the one to visit for the Arts Museum. Non-air-conditioned on a hot summer day. October to March closed on Tuesdays.
Nesvizh Castle is one of the places that is well worth the trip to visit when in Belarus, it is well maintained and ongoing restoration has rebuilt missing structures. You could spend 1-6 hours here depending on how much detail you wanted to go into. A cafe and restaurant is inside the castle with reasonable prices and there is another one outside. The park that the castle is located in is very peaceful and an easy walk around.
An awesome place to go! No wait to get inside the Palace (arrived 14:00and saw tons of interesting, fascinating elements inside. They have the English guidebook inside the store that explains each room in good detail and provides maps (right next to Exhibition entrance). Biking one hour cost only a couple of BY if you want to sweep the entire property. You will have plenty of time, just watch out for pedestrians, people will always move as you slow down. I would definitely go to the local town south of the Palace, they offer some neat souvenirs.
Good to be here, so awesome place! Nice and wonderful. This is a place for 3-6 hours min. A lot of things to see! You can walk around, take a bicycle, or boat. There is nice park.
Beautiful castle both from the outside as the inside! Well preserved and maintained. Seems to be one of the popular place to get married during the weekends.
Very attractive for tourist and contains many elements which can appeal your brain. A good place for day spent and to learn about the country and its history.
Very cool castle, beautifully designed, built and maintained. Pity I didnt have enough time to go through it and its surroundings. Its not far from Minsk, definitely worthwhile to check it out if you are in the country (from a tourist point of view).
Looks very beautiful at any side, from any angle and in any season. Interiors have been renovated and dont look old. Great old park is around the castle.
