Indian & Nepalese dishes, including fish curry, lamb vindaloo & samosas, served in a casual space.
The Thukpa was on point. We added shrimp and some spice. Yum!Baigan bharta-delicious!Naan, a little crispier than my preferenceSamosas-delicious with a flaky wrappingWater glasses were constantly filledOur service was great. We came just at opening and it was immediately filled up. I will say that the service is a little slower paced because theres one primary order taker, but they have expos to deliver the food. If it takes a little while, be patient its well worth the wait!Note: this is not the restaurant for you if you were on a tight schedule.
Lovely food. Every thing we ate was delicious.
It was super packed within just a half hour of opening. Super hot inside, but it does get the afternoon soonOrdered the chicken kewab, only 7 pieces of chicken a probably and I would guess an entire onion!! That is about all I tasted, onion. Waited over 40 minutes for to go order as well, I was only second order after they opened.I am afraid I will be ordering from another place in town. I like how they have a great deal of chicken, but also peppers and onions cooked!
Wonderful garlic naan! This restaurant is 100 out of 10! Everything is perfect. You can’t go wrong with the food here.
Very good food, Dal and Chicken was exactly how we wanted it to be. Owner is also very nice, tone can be confusing so skip that part. Must try if you are around!!
Indian food is very delicious as well Nepali cuisine Veg Thukpa I loved most
Average taste. Chutaney given with Samosa was stale. Ordered Chiken Biryani but given Veg Biryani. When informed then same was re-served by adding chiken pieces. Even Raita given with Biryani was stale.
Delicious! My husband had tandoori chicken and I had traditional curry with chicken. The naan was good too! So glad we stopped at the recommendation of the bartender at Ball Brewing!
Best Indian food in this area. We visited this restaurant twise and both time we amez with food. Owner of restaurant is very attandive. Head cook has made some of items which are not in menu on our request. Thank you for all your hospitality...we will surly visit again when we are in town.
Nepali and Indian favorites. Conveniently located on Highway 82. Friendly, family-run vibe. Beer, burp.Edit, been here a couple more times, and theyve really bent over backwards when I had an oddball request, including today. And the food is really good. Upgraded to five stars.Update: branch in West Glenwood goes under the name Everest, similar and good, more of a shopping center vibeFurther edit: in keeping with the Nepali name I usually have vegetarian. The Tandoori chicken was the special, and while it wasnt cheap it was just delicious.
We ordered, Chicken Tandoori, Naan, Roti and Nepal Kuruma. Chicken tandoori is one of the worst dish, never try that. Remaining all are in average, we went for lunch at2:30pm, you need to order and leave the table by 3:00PM as they close everthing... Choose other place for relax dining.
We had a wonderful experience, totally recommend this place. Special mention was the saag paneer. The chicken was cooked well and you can adjust the spice level.
Really excellent service and great food. Homely food vibes
Very good service and food was very tastyPerfectly spiced and cookedLarge portions
Best mango lassi ever. Chicken juwam outstanding. Hostess charming. Very pleasant dining experience and well worth the drive.
Our favorite place near Glenwood. We ate here in 2019 and just came back today because we missed it so much. Worth the 3 hour drive to eat our favorite food on a mini vacation. The owner is so kind and the food is delicious.
This place was lovely. The server was a little awkward but quick.Amazing food
If you want to taste a great meal you should go to Nepal Restaurant. The food there is amazing.
Best authentic Indian and Nepali food in the area. Fair prices and friendly staff. It was worth driving from Aspen to dine here. This restaurant is a hidden gem. Highly recommended!
Great food. But warning : the portions are huge. "1 tandoori chicken" meant one whole chicken with unlimited rice!
I live across the street and this my GO-TO take out option. The staff is ALWAYS friendly, the food is ALWAYS ready within a half hour, and it ALWAYS tastes amazing. Two of my favorites are the Chicken Chow Chow (ask for spicy level 10 if youre braveand the Chicken Momos.
Renewed review: Im taking my 5 star review back. Weve been here so many times and such a disappointment. Noone said hi. We were the first ppl to come in to the restaurant, we were served Last. We got wine After we got our main course, which had no taste.. The owner just ignored us the whole time and when I asked her to bring some extra spices (we ordered 9 out of 10 but if felt like 2-everything was not spicy enough, she took the dish back to the kitchen and just brought us the same dish back??? and Noone said goodbye either. Bad experience. There were only 4 tables taken in the whole restaurant.- Extremely good food and service. I love Kofta and Masala, but this was the best one I have ever tried in USA. Great people, very rare to meet this customer service, they gave us a tea to go just because we had to drive home to vail!
They have great food, and servers are very friendly. I am very glad we picked this restaurant to stop by. I would highly recommend.
Sooooo good. We’ve lived in the valley for over ten years and mad we didn’t eat here sooner. The lamb, chicken, masala, fried momos and keema naan were all delicious. Can’t wait to go back.
The owner/manager lady can be very unkind. I was in a good mood until I asked her a simple request question. Then she and the staff ignored me the rest of the meal. The Chapati was excellent, but the rest of the veggie Thali was mediocre. It is an overpriced hole in the wall. The food is eatable but not even close to authentic. the acoustics are very live. I could plainly hear/understand 4 conversations - really boring. Also the parking is miniscule. All of 8 places and lots of "We are going to tow your car" from the liquor store ect. near by.
Great experience as I passed through Glenwood towards Aspen.Had a variety of dishes and all were edible. Good flavor. Friendly staff. And I enjoyed a cuisine I had never had.
Extremely good and authentic Nepali food. I have been to Nepal and I say this after that ! Make sure you try the thukpa (almost like ramen but has Indian/Nepali spicesGreat hostess who is also the owner of this place and a Glenwood Springs local for long time. Great chai and the non veg Thali was good too . Bon appetit to those who turn out here
We drove from Snowmass for a dinner here, and it was not the first time! Quality and variety of food are really excellent. Service is always very careful. It is a family run restaurant, where every single plate has a different taste, and all of them are special. The location is not exceptional (near a gas station), the inside is simple, but it is worth the trip from Aspen area. Prices are definitely fair. Food is simply delicious.
The curries, samosas, momos, aloo paratha, and naan were spot on. We LOVED the lamb kewab! I can imagine the chicken is just as good. We’ll be back for all of it, but I’m telling everyone I know about the kewab.
Looks can be deceiving. Is this place located behind a gas station? Yes. Is it AMAZING Nepalese food? Yes.I would come back over and over. Their chans masala was so flavorful and their jasmine rice was delicious. They have tons of vegan options and a HUGE menu full of unique Nepalese specialties. We love this place, must stop if youre vegan and appreciate flavor.
Why don’t we have any in Tampa, Florida!! Just left the Nepal restaurant next to gas station location. Absolutely LOVED the staff and management. They are fun, courteous, and really look like they enjoy their jobs. The food is amazing. In menu and on table, I saw notice of increasing menu price , I asked management about it and they explain me in the detail. I agree with them, Food Price have been slightly increased because of growing market rate and its true grocery rate are growing up every day. Can’t wait to come back on my next business trip. I’m sure I will be craving this when I get home!!Thank you for serving us and Happy holidays ☺️
This place is a rip-off lately. Very disappointed in today’s order. my daughter ordered 3 dishes and was charged almost $80 And the kicker is they have really cut down on their portions! we have been regular customers for forever. will not be going there again. In a word: chintzy
One couldn’t ask for more. One of the best thali ever. The management goes above and beyond to serve you.The food is great and so is the overall experience.Definitely recommend.
Had to go back! I remembered this place from about 10 years ago. Still as good as I remember. So yummy. The people who own the place were welcoming and very nice. We enjoyed great dining and conversation. I will definitely be back if Im that way again!
We found this place on our way from Aspen to Glenwood Springs. It was a surprise to find such a decent place in the middle of nowhere. Im giving extra points for their hospitality, which was impeccable. They gave us a free tea as we were waiting for the take out in cold. They also got the food to our car. The food, to be honest, was on the average side. We found it pretty oily and more on a sweeter side. Perhaps its because we ordered mild spicy, or perhaps because its more of a Nepali flavor. We ordered samosa and matar paneer. The samosa was decent but quite oily. The paneer was a little sweet. But my kids loved it so no regrets. Overall quite happy we found it as we were hungry and craving Indian food.
Food was amazing. Every dish was 5 stars. My favorite was the samosa with the mint cilantro and yogurt dip mixed together. Korma was outstanding. Laura was our server and was so personable, sweet and attentive.
Always delicious and authentic never watered down and a great selection of Nepalese food
Absolutely amazing! We ate every last bite.
Chicken was not good, smelled foul. Rotis and garlic roti was good and veg curries are average. Veg biryani tasted below average. Ambience was mediocre and quantity was small. Priced little high which is expected as there are not many places which serves this kind of food.
One of the best Nepalese restaurant that I have visited, great Indian beer too.
What should i say about this place.I am from NJ where you can get best Indian food. But i was not expecting this to happen to find such an awesome restaurant in Colorado and that also in Aspen/Carbondale/Snowmass Area.First experience that its right on CO-82 so no need to get into downtown . Second the host/whole staff were wonderful or i would say best owners who take utmost care of yourself and your food as it seems they enjoy guest and do their best to fulfil guests expectation. Third food is really delicious and superb taste and i can rate it as best food i had in US.(I tried only veg options like Momos Birayni Daal Maharani , Paneer and Aloo Mirchi ( best Aloo subji i ever had).As its owner say that they do not do business for money only but they guest to have best taste of food. Fifth the Price so i would say if i had ordered same menu then i would have got 40% more bill in other parts. So anyone want to have the Indian food in that area then dont miss their service
This is a lovely restaurant with amazing food! The host was really nice and and helpful in terms suggesting food based on their portion for a larger group. Clean, friendly environment with delicious Nepali food. A must vist if you are in the area! Oh and their Momos are absolutely the best.
One of the best meal in glenwood. Eating your food with a scenic view of snow capped mountain is the highlight of this place. The owner treats you with kindness and have a lovely sense of humor. Highly recommend for everyone to come here and be the part of their hospitality.
We visited this little gem by recommendation. What a wonderful restaurant! They were so friendly and the art on the walls really showed their origin. We ordered Masala Chicken and Eggplant Bharta. Best Ive ever had! Next time maybe Ill take a picture, but this time the smell and look of the food resulted in no time at all for anything but eating.
The worst experienced I’ve ever had in a restaurant. I truly wish I could give 0 star. We called to order a take out, and we spoke Nepali in the phone. They were very very rude to us. I was expecting them to act better when we got there to pick up the food, but the customer service was even worst. This restaurant do not have Nepali flavor. Please do not go if you are looking for a Nepali flavor. Please do not eat their chicken curry. They literally use unlimited amount of tomato sauce for a gravy, and it is very sour/flavorless.
Had a whim to stop by and check this place out on a trip to Aspen and it was so worth it! Absolutely amazing food, huge vegetarian and vegan selection, and the owners are so nice. Some of the best Naan I have ever had.
Delicious food, always enjoy the tasty and spicy flavors 🌶
Best indian food Ive ever eaten!!
Good food and great service!I got the Thalli. Nice sampling of the main stuff.
