Great pub in Zurich. We visit the pub every time we visit Switzerland.

Good vibe, great beer

Always busy and all kind of people. I like tongo this pub to drink cidreor guinness and also because do not need to pay entrance fee

Good place to meet friends

Staying at the Hotel Ruby Mimi and went to find a drink. Just a short walk from the Ruby we found Nelson, an English style Pub. Always extremely busy but we were able to find a seat, very good beer selection with good service throughout our stay. Indoor and outdoor seating. A good place to have a beer and a burger and watch a football match. Check out the Nelson Pub if you are in Zurich near the main train station.

Friday night .. the bodyguards at the door do not speak English .. they didn’t even understand what we were saying .. and we tried to explain to them three times something… after we realised that we were not going to the enter .. we (two guysheaded away towards hiltl and we were discussing where to go next … then they came and pushed us from the back with no reason ..I will say … (although I don’t agree )it’s ok to not let people in .. but this behaviour is out of control!These people were just so unfriendly.. (these were two white guys.. I said now white in order for everybody to NOT think that my comment goes toward the black guy that is working also there … because although one time he did not let us go in he was speaking English and he was VERY polite and showed as some respect and treated as as Norma human beings !)

Despite being a bit cramped its a excellent place to hang out with friends and watch football, have drinks then wrapped up with night with music and dance.

Good drinks and location, nice atmosphere

Pretty close to an English pub with a good atmosphere. Service was great but is was quiet in there. I wouldnt go back there though as there are better places in Zurich.

Nice bar staff and good sized place. Can get busy and rough. Recently October 2022 they changed the door staff and they are character less. So maybe its better to find a less fractious place or go early in the day.

The big black man working as security at the entrance was very disrespectful and feeling like hes the boss of the place. Im never coming back to a place where customers are being treated this way.

I liked it a lot. Good food, good beer, good service. A little too crowded for my taste but I guess that is to be expected since it is located in one of the busiest avenues of the city. I would definitely go back if I had the opportunity.

Dear people, it seems it is wise to stay away from this pub! From what I heard the security staff is not what Swiss and other people in the world stand for. Discrimination should never be tolerated. I know people who still need to receive back their belongings (which security took from them while they were stopped at the entrance and worked on the ground).

Fantastic example of a British style bar. Great selection of beer. The food was very tasty. The music in the evening was brilliant

Nice place to chillout with friends and have drinks.

Limited choices for local beers. Majority of the beers on tap are the "mainstream" international ones. Not worth the visit unless you want to visit an English bar.

Lits of people, but different from the rest of Zurich, kinda more mature. Music quite loud, as in every other club. Great choice of beers.

4 stars are automatically awarded for Guinness on tap. The 5th star is for the service. The lady behind the bar was really professional and engaged in just enough conversation to be friendly, and gave enough space to not be overbearing.

We had reserved a table for four. We had 24 beer and 12 shots in 3 hours and they still kicked us out because we had „no reservation“ even though we had a reservation. Very disappointing. If this is how you treat customers, we don‘t want to come back here. To everyone who wants to have a nice place to drink, go somewhere else.

When the secure guy tells you „ Entrance only with „Begleiterin““ is not acceptable and not respectful! No more visits there !

The most racist place in Zurich. Stay away is you are not swiss, girl o blond. Not joking.

Good Pub

Hey guys, I wasn’t drinking because of antibiotics, but I could say very sober that I had the worst experience ever in life. Security took my friends out by seeing them falling asleep on the table… like animals? NO, WORST. Unnaceptable. That was emabarrasing, with no reason. SORRY, but NEVER AGAIN.

They have a Racist Security Staff. I have visited this place many times and it has been characterized as a Multicultural Bar, yesterday I went with my friends from Mexico and Costa Rica and they were not allowed to enter, a small security guy became aggressive and physically attacked them just because my friend asked the reason why he couldnt get in, he put pepper spray in their eyes and hit them hard. I will definitely never visit this place again and I do not recommend it to anyone.

Nice music there with tasty cocktails! And the entrance was free for us!There 2 rooms with different music.

Please book otherwise the guy at the entrance will not let you go in even if it is an empty thursday like tonight 😀 i went to this pub probably more than 50 times as it is 500 meters from home. What a shame ....

Unexpectedly chilled atmosphere (not too posh;)in the centre of Zürich. Good prices and cool parties in the evenings. However DJ could work more on the hits list for dancing...

Great pub with a great location, perfect for a quick bite and beers after work. They also organize events and happy hours.

First time coming here. The vibe is quite nice and lively. They follows the health protocol and i like their whiskey sour. Just a little advice, maybe they could hire some live band to play the song, and itll make it even better on friday night.

One of the best pubs that I’ve been to in Europe. Lucy was really nice and provided a fantastic service. Manager Paul is someone who you gotta talk to if you visit here and believe me that you’ll not even realise how time passes by while conversing with him (very knowledgeable guy). The vibe of this place reminded me of my time in the UK. I would definitely recommend everyone to visit this pub in Zurich.

As an American, I thought the burger was REALLY good. Side salad was very European (not like what you would get in the states).

I enjoyed to go clubbing there. It’s the right place for some down to earth fun. They play the greatest hits of the last 2-3 decades Ave they like their bass hard. Its an easygoing place with usually enough space for dancing and affordable drinks. Good choice for groups and not too picky dancers.

Classic pub environment. Quick service for ordering drinks, even when busy. Great place for a few cheeky pints and a good laugh. Affordable pricing as well (for Zurich standards haha)

It’s a good pub but too busy with too many people inside. If you wanna have a table, u have to go a bit earlier. Mostly men for beer.

Excellent bar with great food and beer. Nice atmosphere and wonderful decoration. Pulled beef burger is really tasty.

A place for after work beer. Happy hour start from 5pm for 5.5CHF then 6.5CHF from 6pm, food is standard bar food.

Really fancy Irish pub in the middle of the city. Easy to reach by public transportation. It has indoor and outdoor seatings also. They have lot kind of drinks: several beers on tap, wine, spirits and also a good kitchen, serving hamburger, starters and some swiss food. In the afternoon, theres happy hour for beers on tap ;The main downside is that is often fully packed and theres the loud music too, so its rather a party place, then a quiet beer bar.

What a emotional experience in this English style pub in Zurich ! From the splendid taste beers, to the great quality food, all was special ! Nice atmosphere in a sunny Sunday afternoon..

If you go there during the day its a good spot to just hang out and read a book, its quiet. I always end up with a group of friends there, they have some larger seating areas which can accommodate that. The reason why Im giving this four stars is because of some of tje food I have had there (cheese burger + fries). Im aware its pub food, standards maybe are a bit different but there are other pubs that serve it better. Drinks wise I enjoy it, they have the standard beers and cocktails (potent ones!), as well as Stella Artois 😍

Interesting spot of Britishness in the heart of the Swiss capital city. Walkers crisps with a leciester customer contact address!!! Nice one! Highly recommended! But please come to my native country to sample the real thing! LOL!At least I had the chance to check a wheat beer against a barley one! Weat L and barley R.
