Description
Privilege
Couldnt eat here:( Tried to go here for the past two mornings. No signs on the window or door that I saw indicating that they were closed. Hours online say theyre open. No idea whats going on here.
MoreWent here for a brunch and it didn’t disappoint. After attending Sunday mass since it was a lovely day (clear sky and sun - you don’t get that much with irish weatheri walked my way to Nelly’s. Decided to have egg Benedict rather than the usual irish full breakfast, serving wise was and presentation was great. Definitely a must visit when in Limerick City. Don’t be intimidated by its outside look, upon entering you don’t want to leave anymore because of it’s homey design and colorful hanging flags plus the sunday’s best music, oohh! did i just said friendly staff? Yes
MoreTasty & large portions. Excellent value for money..
I remember when this was Devanes pub, but wouldnt have been brave enough to enter. What a surprise to find a classy, quaint, stylish place to relax with great coffee and wonderful scones... Staff were lovely, no pressure despite sitting on my laptop for over an hour to avoid the rain.Ill definitely be back to this little gem.
MoreWarm and excellent service! This is our seventh day in Ireland and today we had our best breakfast by far. Delicious, beautiful and very generous meals.
MoreWe had several meals in Nellies, and enjoyed them all. Not only is the food great, but the staff treat you like the first flowers in May.
MoreGenerous breakfast. Very lovely place, good start for a day. Friendly stuff makes smile on your face. Love this!
MoreAmazing experience in Nellys Corner. We came here for brunch and we were so amazed by the quality of the food. All of them were so tasty. Its a compulsory stop if you come to Limerick.
MoreWhat a lovely quaint restaurant! We’ve been in Ireland to 4 different cities in 7 days and this was by far the best service and the very best breakfast we’ve had since we arrived! Lovely place. Have been for both breakfast and lunch here and it is so relaxing and the staff are so friendly. You can relax here for as along as you want, like sitting in your own kitchen. Nice spot well located close to St Mary’s Cathedral and King Johns Castle for those passing by taking in our city and our history. Nice atmosphere about the place pleasantly staff.
MoreWe loved having the traditional Irish breakfast at Nellys. Fun waiter and as everything I experienced in Ireland, very endearing.
MoreVery quaint and nice atmosphere. The food was good with nice coffee
This place has great food and friendly service. The mocha was perfect, and the breakfast panini is also excellent.
MoreGreat cafe, breakfast tasted amazing and portions were generous. Especially loved the Eggs Benedict, it has sweet honey ham on it
MoreQuaint and cozy, an absolute gem! Breakfast was done just right! French toast, porridge, eggs Benedict, omelets, all very good!
MoreLovely place, very friendly staff and very good food.
Great service and good food
Beautiful breakfast and lunch menu. Very warm and friendly atmosphere. Excellent service, freshly cooked, excellent food and generous portions. The staff here are very friendly. Great Central location.
MoreGreat menu, fantastic food, excellent portions, the service is prompt and professional, the atmosphere is local in the bar with music in the background, "but at a volume you can have a conversation without raising your voice"
MoreA really quaint place, with great potential, lovely staff that just misses the mark due to the quality of the food.Nellys seems to be an old landmark cafe, the kind of place that has been there for ever. What appears to be a picture of the original owner still hangs on the wall of the cafe and we were both really looking forward trying it out. Both myself and my partner ordered the Cheeseburger, they arrived and looked great but were both highly disappointed when we received a cheap burger patty, the kind you would expect to find at a cheap mobile burger joint (like a take away van). We ate it as, while it was not great, it was OK. For the price, which was not expensive but not cheap either, we had expected much more. The food actually did not sit well with either of us fir the rest of the day.If they made all of their own food, it could even be on the cheaper side, between that, the great staff they have and the atmosphere it would be packed. On top of that they can serve alcohol!Nect time Im in Limerick Ill pop my head in, if they are them making their own food from scratch Ill be there, otherwise Ill move elsewhere.
MoreVery nice reasonably priced cafe/bar near King Johns Castle. I had a late night pint here. Relaxed atmosphere, clean and tidy with polite staff/management.
MoreGreat breakfast, great Coffee. Loved especially the Music! Thanks for the very great service.

Go here! The food was quality and the staff was more than accommodating. The crew was genuine and insightful. Every item was delicious.
MoreNice restaurant. Friendly staff. Expensive ice cream cones tho. Not good with 4 kids.
MoreHad breakfast there Sunday morning, very good quality food and friendly staff,. I will be there again for food soon
MoreVisited Nellys for the traditional Irish Breakfast. This was my first time having black & white pudding, but it wasnt bad. Our server was very friendly. I would definitely recommend them.
MoreWe had some classic irish breakfast there on a sunday morning. The waiter was really great and we had a nice chat. The prices were very reasonable for the breakfast options. Would definitely go there again.
MoreWonderful place to eat. We were in Limerick a couple days and stopped here for breakfast each day as it was around the corner from our Airbnb. The food was great and the staff made us feel very welcome. Hope to come back again! (Get the Irish breakfast it was awesome!)
MoreDefinetly one of my best Irish coffee Ive ever had ! Their breakfast are also amazing !
MoreGreat food, friendly service. Real Chips!
Stopped through on our way across the country and it was great. The chef insisted we try the Limerick special Packet & Tripe on top of what we ordered. We did and we were pleasantly surprised. The other lunch specials we got (toastie, salad, chicken fillet on a bun and Sheppards piewere all delicious and very reasonably priced. The staff was friendly and gave great recommendations for other stuff to see in town. Will definitely recommend to others and go back when in the area again.
MoreWe stopped in for a late breakfast. Our server was at our table right away with menus and was genuinely friendly. My companion ordered a full Irish breakfast - which is a lot of food, I decided to try the Eggs Benedict. Our meals arrived promptly and were very good.We sat at a table by the front window and watched people coming and going to St. Marys which is across the road.Restaurant and restrooms were tidy. Prices were fair.
MoreAbsolutely lovely place, lovely food and lovely people! Wish I could of brought Nellys Corner home. Would highly recommend the breakfasts, if your looking for a relaxing and friendly place to eat please visit here, you wont be disappointed!
MoreFriendly cafe/restaurant next to St Marys Cathedral. Perfect for families and anyone looking for a nice place to eat. Had the homemade burger, chips and salad then came back the following day for a scone and coffee. Excellent service both times.
MoreWe went for Breakfast and we fell in love with this hidden gem of Limerick! Absolutely fantastic staff and the food was excellent! We make it a point to return whenever we can!
MoreIf you look for a great place to eat and youre around Limerick, look no further! Staff is super friendly, the food is great, and the price is tiny! So ask for a pint and a 4oz Burger and get your afternoon started :D
MoreWhat a nice little Pub! Friendly staff and very clean restrooms. We ordered the fish and chips which was enough for two people to enjoy. Make sure you try the brown sauce and listen to the bartender for local tips. He gave us a guide that saved us hours of walking. If Im ever back in Limerick Ill be certain to stop in Nellys Corner for a delicious meal and reasonable prices.
MoreAmazing place, food and people! Emet, Beatrix, Noreen and her husband are great hosts. Its guranteed youll have a great time. You have to try the bacon and cabbage or the hamburger.
MoreAbsolutely love Nellys. David and Noreen are brilliant. By far the best breakfast in Limerick and Coffee is fantastic. Lunch is pretty spectacular too. Really nice layout. Strongly recommend this little gem for a visit. After you visit once, you will keep returning...
MoreI cant believe that I didnt give a review to this amazing place when I was in Limerick last year. The staff here is the reason I want to come back to Limerick this year. They were amazing and informative to everything this great city has to offer. The one lad behind the counter whos name escapes me is a genuine fellow. He gave me the lowdown on everywhere to go. Provided great craic the whole time I was there. I also have to give it that this was the best breakfast I have had with such a great price.
MoreCasual, cosy and comfortable. Corky and quaint charm for decor and patchwork interior. Lovely fresh fish for their daily special, but their sandwitches were good as well. Serves breakfast food, pannini and burgers so far. Really friendly people work here. Got some studying and conversation done here.
MoreNoreen, Dave, Ger, Emmet of Nellys Corner ... wish I had a better memory for names... its a BIG and united family; with their minds and hearts in the right place. They are such warm, hard-working, positive, and professional people and business people.Noreen has such an eye for colour and design; youll feel at home immediately on entering their premises.I could write in detail about the wonderful food & drink.. etc. etc....If you are visiting Ireland or meeting old or new friends; Nellys is the ideal venue. As my Grandmother would say "Its a tonic".All The Very Best,Simon
MoreFabulous breakfast cafe. Locally sourced meats make a huge difference to the quality of the food: tasty bacon and lovely local sausages with the enormous cooked breakfasts. Try the pancakes with bacon and maple syrup... to die for. Friendly, funky atmosphere perfect for families. Welcoming staff. Highly recommended.
MoreIt used to be one of the worst bars in Ireland. But the new opener has turned it around and restored its greatness. No longer a traditional type of bar. Its a coffee shop with a licence to serve food and drink! Private outback smoking area. Newly refurbished! Go in for a taste
MoreAwesome place! Great place to come in on a cold day for coffee and coco. Also good selection of homemade foods.
MoreAmazing place on the corner right by King Johns Castle. Great prices and very friendly staff. Try the Guinness Beef Stew!! Favorite eating establishment on our Ireland trip.
MoreOne of the best dining experiences while in Ireland. The gentlemen waiting on us was beyond polite and the food was very tasty. Glad we walked by.
MoreGreat food, great service and the prices are spot on. The staff are very good and friendly. Definitely be back again
