Nejen Bistro - Bistro in Prague, Czech Republic
Good quality food, nice service. Solid 4 stars.
The food is great. Nicely balanced flavours, and a nice atmosphere with a lot of traffic, proving that people enjoys the place.
The location is comfortable and the service is quite good but the dishes are really poor and not enough in comparison with so expensive prices
Great vibe and food is super tasty! I ordered pulled pork and it was amazing!
Delicious freshly made light food. I had the gazpacho, focaccia, fried potatoes grenaille in sour cream (this was the best of the 3 😋). Great service as well.
Very good food, wine selection and great customer service. Outstanding
Staff friendly, but nothing vegan on their menu. Update your menu guys. Prague is one of the top 10 most vegan friendly cities in the world and has a fast growing vegan population.
The starter was definitely too tiny, even for a starter, and especially for its price. Otherwise the tangerine gin&tonic was good and the staff nice and helpful. The interiors are very pleasant.
Friendly staff. Spacious place with air conditioning and comfortable tables.
Nice establishment but, I had a really awkward visit where they tried to charge 50% extra onto my bill for food I never ordered, ate or received.I understand Im a tourist, who doesnt speak Czech but this was an obvious thing they did to get money out of me. Very awkward and difficult to point it out especially when the receipt was written in a language I dont speak.Id expect this behaviour in the city centre "tourist traps" but shame it was in Karlin.Response to the owner: its a shame as its a nice establishment and I would have tipped anyway. My point is, I dont read or speak Czech its difficult to point it out. Receipt to prove I was there and this is after Brigada amended it and apologised. I get it if there were 6 of us dining and it was a mistake, it was pretty obvious that my bill shouldnt have been in the 1000s. And its just awkward to do. You also give water to tourists who dont even ask for it and make them pay for it. Please rather than saying it doesnt sound true ask your own staff members first, thanks :)
One of the best lunch menu in Prague. Awesome soups! And homemade gins!
The meal sizes are moderate but the taste is pretty good. The interior has good vibes even though during the peak its quite noisy.
Bestest service I have ever experienced in entire Czech Republic. Perfect ambience for chilling and having some evening drink with friends. We had a great evening with my friend thanks to the staff and the place itself.
I found the waiters very rude. They even left before taking the orders of everyone (only 2 out of 5 got to order a drink before they just walked away). Most of the dishes were of good quality (duck breast, soup), but not all. For local standers also a bit pricy.Another note: we were told not to drink water of our own bottle. Just so you are prepared if that is custom in your country.
My favorite spot for a cool urban vibe in a trendy area and delicious contemporary food.
Really tasty food and drinks, good coffee. Great choice of vine. Nice and friendly stuff
The burger was excellent. medium rare as desired, well seasoned. Service swift and pleasant. At the time, the place was almost empty, yet the crew seemed friendly towards each other, not just paying guests. Very nice vibe
Nice but the photos that you see from the menu are from 2 years ago, right now you need at least 1200,00 czk by two to eat. There are more posh places for equal amount.
This is my favorite restaurant when traveling to Prague. Stylishly furnished (nice minimalistic modern style with use of wood, for my taste one of the nicest restaurants I have seenand very tasty food. The portions are mid-size, prices according to quality. The food is kind of fusion between modern and traditional Czech, prepared freshly and in a healthy way.
Enjoyed to the fullest. These guys know their stuff. If I could fault anything would be the small dessert menu.Could gladly eat here everyday for the rest of my life
I ordered Bryndzové halušky today (potato dumplings with sheep cheese and bacon). I must say, they were delicious! BUT you are presenting the dish as a normal portion dish. What we got was EXTREMELY small appetizer for a price of normal big meal! This totally horrified me. Especially Halušky is such a cheap meal itself to make and you already totally overpriced it. 1st picture is what you presenting, 2nd pic. what you actually get.
Delicious burger and especially the fries.Desert was fantastic as well. Busy place, nice waiters. Will come again
The place looks very nice of courseو but the menu, staff, and the food were awful for the price they were charging.First of all, the menu is confusing and misleading. Not to say how very few option are there, and even on that day (16 Feb 2020they did not serve soup. The price for steak is written for 100 gr portion, but they only had 250 gr portions; which for us was too much for one person. The staff were not specially friendly at all. They clearly did not want to try and communicate better in English. They dismissed the questions and did not answer clearly. This resulted in a mistake in our order. We ordered vegetables for the side of steak, but instead a whole salad was brought to us as a separate order.Secondly, they did not ask our preference for how well-done the steak should be. And it was served almost raw.My friend ordered tea with apple pie for the dessert. They brought the dessert in the picture. This is clearly not an apple pie by no definition. To make sure, we had a small bite. It was mandarin/citrus flavored cream, with some ice-cream, on a base similar to crushed biscuits, and not pie base at all. We asked if there has been a mistake, and we were told indifferently that "Yes, that is an apple pie". See the picture, search for apple pie, and decide for yourself.
Wow, this place is amazing! The food is very delicious, very creative. I had as main course the grilled carrots, so so good, you don’t miss any meat or fish and I’m not a vegetarian! The interior is modern, the service friendly, here it’s all about food, no chi-chi, small selection of wine, nothing extraordinary expensive. Love it! 😍
The service and interior design is good. The concept of open kitchen has the downside of having the room with smoke. The food is of great quality, just the prices are above the average of Prague (about 300czk a burger, about 500czk a steak)
A nice ambiance, delicious food, moderate prices (except desserts seem a bit overpriced). Strange "rule" a waiter tried to instill that 2 persons could not occupy a 4-person table.. What if we order as 4? 😂
Went here on a recommendation from a local, and it did not disappoint! Delicious food, wonderful service. Unique and flavorful. Highly recommended!
Cozy and pleasant restaurant in Karlín, close to the Karlín square church. The atmosphere is very nice and friendly, the waiters have a great approach, they are very polite and helpful. The background music is not too loud, but still pleasant today listen to. I highly recommend this place. Will come back again.
Nice restaurant in a beautiful building. I had the pheasant breast, the dish was a bit too salty and the tastes would have been a better match for an autumn dinner, rather than a heat wave summer night. My wife had the cod, and she loved it. Both our dishes were labelled as big dishes, but were on the smaller spectrum of big. Service was good. The inside of the restaurant was very noisy.
Warm and no-pressure service with food cooked to perfection. The octopus and pork ribs were easily the best food eaten during our trip. There is a warm and familiar feel to Nejen Bistro and the staff welcome regulars and newcomers with the same enthusiasm.
Close to perfect food! The mango G+T was also excellent.
The burgers were amazing and this dessert a perfect finish. Lovely gin and good beer. Very friendly service, thank you for making our evening our in this corner of Praha a lovely experience!
The food was excellent, the prices were reasonable and staff were attentive. Overall value for money
Food was amazing and tasty and worth the price BUT the service from the one lady (I almost gave 3 stars cause of this- it must hurt for her to smile because we went two nights in a row and she didnt bother actually giving the actual wine list when trying to figure out what to order. She rolled her eyes this is one of the rudest things and Im wondering if she goes out with the guy in the cafe a few doors down as he has the same attitude. I would recommend the owner to either get rid of her or give her some customer service training. Its a shame when the other waitress (one with tattooand waiter were obviously alot more attentive.
Great food and very much not touristy! The sort of foodie place that draws on the locals and the adventuring tourists alike.
Overpriced for what you get, to many tastes on the plate, cold, meat dry and tasteless. Used to be top and my favorite place couple years ago, since then quality dropped. Even the coffee was not right.
Even though this place was a little bit more expensive than other restaurants in Prague, it did not disappoint! Food was absolutely delicious, and the service was great. I definitely recommend going here!
Original atmosphere resembles a socialistic office from 80ties (or sooner maybe?). Some food seems to by styled to the same era but is made from modern ingredients. I enjoyed my food though there were maybe too much different tastes on one plate.
Its a very nice and cosy place. There are drinks and food, a small selection of beer and more spirits. Only 4 stars as the staff forgot about my friends coffee order and we had to remind them 2 times. But it is worth visiting!
Nice restaurant with fusion dishes. Very busy at evening and reservation is needed. The waiters were very friendly not like other restaurants in Prague.
Very tasty food, nice concept and great location. Unfortunately the quality of the service was surprisingly poor. Restaurant was half empty yet I didnt feel welcomed. The food and wine was served without saying a word in really unfriendly way with zero interest.Considering constantly growing number of great restaurants in Prague, the quality of the service is extremely important and in ambitious place like this I would expect much more.
Comfortable, tasty, but not possible to predict what you will get, when ordering the food.
One of the best place to eat in Karlín part of Prague! Cool place with interesting design, very delicious cousine. I had beef ribs and I have to admit that I have not had better beef ribs in my life! I do recommend the place to visit and make reservation!
Nejen Bistro - its one of our favorite places for lunch or dinner in Prague we discovered. It is away from the touristic stress but still close enough to city center. The service is great, prices are more than fair, ambient is beautiful and the food deserves a Michelin star - exclusive meals, amazing and fresh ideas and interpretations of food! Its a must EAT ;and take the zweigelt vine rosé - you will not regret it
We had an extremely nice evening here and the food was excellent. My particular standout was the herring starter.A few reviews I read beforehand suggested the service was poor, but I can only comment on our experience and our waitress was very polite. If I lived in Prague I’d go back in a heartbeat.
Fast and kind service. Food amazing. Eat 285koruna chicken main course and it was superb. Bistro was cosy. Worth to visit!!!!
Delicious food and drink, friendly welcoming staff. A very cosy relaxing atmosphere, great music playing, set in a great part of Prague.
For a casual bistro, this place serves amazingly creative food. One of the best dishes I’ve had in Prague was their beef heart tartare served on a bone marrow. Fantastic!
Very nice place with stylish design, the burger was ok, but the fries was not the best and a bit dry. They have special 13 degree beers, which is very good! The prices were a bit higher than other restaurant in the neighborhood, but not overpriced and especially good if you did not book any table ahead!Recommended!
I got the Angus burger and they cooked it perfectly (medium rare, as requested). You can really taste the meat flavour in the burger which adds to its freshness. The fries were a bit cold but not the end of the world. Price point is relatively more expensive for Prague (10€ for a burgerbut it was a good quality burger. Would go again.
