Nehru Kund in Manali

Its a nice place where water comes down from the mountains and creates a little pond below (Which we call KundIve seen people drink that water but I didnt do that personally, all in all its a nice little place to visit.

Well as per locals , the water is mixed with herbs, is good for health nd drinkable... The place was neat nd clean

Its a very small pool of water flowing from the hills and gets collected in place.Locals believe that the water has medicinal values and has capacity to cure almost all diseases.The water is potable for drinking and used by locals for drinking round the year.The water here is cold and refreshing.

Natural water spring from the mountain located on the side of Manali-Leh Highway. Clean and pure water coming out of a small pond (kund). People bring bottles and take water from the pond. Theres a temple opposite the kund which you can visit. It is located over the river. The whole place has a peaceful vibe.

Nothing touristy , its a natural spring . People stop there to have water. Its a sping , so water is good for health.

A peaceful place despite being on the highway. The water from snow comes down all the way through the mountains to this place and people stop here especially to fill the pure water in their bottles/cans and other utensils.

Very very good pure crystal clear water, you can drink without any filtration. You can see Purity of India.

It was good and well maintained and also not so crowded but there should be a board on that place demarcated about the heritage of that place and the importance of that place too because otherwise this place just looks like a normal drainage system to the tourists.

This place is truly a heaven, especially in winter it becomes a different world which one can experience. Nature beauty gives you a visual treat to your eyes and makes you feel like sitting there and enjoying the weather for hours.I sat there for a while drinking tea and munching local momos, the flowing river was roaring with so much snow on it and i didnt feel like moving from there.

Best peaceful place with awesome view in outer manali... On road stay towards solang valley.... Best food.... Rooms were too good ... And i ordered chicken that was super delicious. Even if u stay somewhere else, please visit Nehru Kund Hotel for dinner in their cafe.... U will never find that kind of food in Manali for sure.... Thanks for wonderful service

You can purchase all the sanitary items here. They have good collection of tiles, wash basins toilet seats etc.

You will find very pure water with medicinal properties. Local people says it cures you from many diseases. I think its good mineral water. People who go sight seeing visit here mostly. Always have some empty bottles to fill here.

Just a water outlet on the side of road. Good clean drinking mineral water comes out. Locals keep collecting this water in plastics cans and bottles. You can see if travelling in that direction on side of road.

Its on the way to sollang valley and a chill place to play with snow over there on the side of river. The sounds of river makes so crazy over there and good place to hangout with friends and doing river crossing and lot of activities.

Nehru Kund is a natural water fountain with by the Kullu Manali highway. It was a calm and peaceful place with a Shiva temple and some roadside boutiques in the neighborhood. In the winter season, this area becomes popular for snow sports.However, the water in the fountain was not "special" or "sweet" as the people say. The water was cold, and had a mineral rich taste. In the off season, the place is just a watering source.

We went in mid december. All decked up in snow, nehrukund was heavenly. We did some snow trekking, up to Lamadugh and Solang valley. If you are an amateur, lamadugh amidst snow will be a tougher choice. Overall, nehrukund is amazing. More for those who want to avoid the din and bustle of manali.

Very nice and scenic place to visit if you happen to visit manali. Covered with high mountains from all four sides. Though its very hard to reach the place. But its worth the visit. The place is best visited in park winters when its covered with snow all around. Do not fall trap for packages offered for ski rides, yak rides and tube as the charges high amount and provide no services.
