Nega Bonger Hotel | Saris | ነጋ ቦንገር ሆቴል | ሳሪስ - in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Rooms are very good with Jacusin & separat Toilet Room, connected Rooms are very nice for parents with children. It has a Beautiful Swimmingpool with a beutifull Garden Spa & fitness studio. The price is very reasonable. Friendlly stuff, The Hotel need some renovation & follow-up but still Beautiful. Very friendlly management paymen should be done every day or non refunded pre payment, if you stay more than 10 days, you can get 5% of discount.
Terrible WiFi connection!!!
Clean, best customer service, well mentaind.
Feels very old and looks like it has been abandoned for a while. If you are into retro themed hotels, this might be it for you. Note: the retro feel is not intentional
Good vibes I was there waiting for a family member to finish an errand and the milk and cake was good the cake orange cake was frozen, maybe microwave it next time, the place was nice I also checked the gym out slightly small but nice. place is average in a good way
Best price for the value. Great service, nice rooms. Front desk and the rest of the stuff people were great. We stayed about 10 days with family and enjoyed it! The One thing to improve is the way how the restaurant serves customers when busy.
I loved staying this stylish hotel. The interior design is modern yet traditional and gives an idea of Ethiopian Culture. My room was generously spacious & clean. Probably one of the best places to stay in Addis and compared to what other hotels are offering, it offers quite a competitive price for the rooms and their for very good value for your money. I highly recommend this hotel for everyone that believes in quality.
The pool area out door place is a nice spot to hang out. The musics are also entertaining but, I also heared a music with the "F" word. The special pizza has no cheese 😏, imagine how the other pizzas would be. The "old supervisor guy" we have asked has no clue about how a special pizza should be. The service was very poor; the waiter was very slow and was really hard to find him both for order, to clean the table and to get the bill. I have seen that other guests were facing the same issue. The hotel has to work a lot on improving the service.
Good staking rink you fall and get up
I highly recommend NB hotel to pretty much anyone: foreigners, locals, singles, couples, family with kids, gym-sauna-swiming-skate loving ppl). I stayed there for over 3 weeks and I actually miss everything about that place: service, team friendliness, free delicious breakfast, open cafeteria at the backyard to relax, read or work on your laptop with a fast wifi while enjoying the greenness and the swimming pool in your sight.Regarding the hotel rooms, NB hotel is one of the neatest hotel I have ever seen in Addis. You wont find a spot on the (whitecovers, sheets and towels. They smell good too; that was very important to me. Also, you could only notice and appreciate the effort made to customize Ethiopian elements on parts of the bed, ceiling, wall paintings, hangers, etc.The neighbourhood looks a bit chaotic with street markets and no one could expect a calm, relaxing, safe and beautiful place right at the corner. I say, go visit the place first and decide for yourself. I heard tourists go for hotels near the airport (aka Bole areawhen I asked why the hotel was a bit underrated. The fact is: the hotel is not at all far from there -- it also offers a free shuttle from/to the airport upon arrival and departure. During my stay, I usually used RIDE or Feres (Amharic word for horse), the currently popular Uber-like safe transport services to go around anywhere in the city.
Best hotel resort in Addis Ababa town.It do have a country side feeling and I love it.
Nice sauna bath, steam and Massage services with a reasonable price 👌
Cool place to enjoy Pizza, music and swimming.
I took my kids for a swim and the pool was not only dirty but also very cold. They were shivering when they got out. They said they will never back to that place again.
The suite is very beautiful and relatively cheaper than other 4 star hotels. But some of the amenities inside the room like the hot water and the Jacuzzi are not functional. Most of the front desk employees at this property are not collaborative and they have attitude if you ask them to fix whats not functional. But the staffs at the restaurant are nice and caring. Overall will not stay here in the future!!!
In my opinion, Rooms should provide microwave and heater at least coz foods and hot drinks get cooler on the way before they reach the customer. And waiters should bring bills for whatever is ordered.
Meticulously designed rooms with the touch of Ethiopian culture taste. The price is very reasonable and with the free spa services and breakfast provided and with little birr added you can get massage too. Yes it is a city retreat center.I appreciated the fairness bestowed in the delivery of their service. It is a quality place. I really love it.It is a gem in the southern Addis.
The worst customer service, over priced food that tastes so bad, dirty swimming pool, my worst experience i wish there was a zero star to give
This hotel has a jazz dinner every Friday at 7:00pm local time. The garden is along with the swimming pool and its so peaceful. Now the place has started skating.
I recommend Nega Bonger Hotel as a place where middle income persons can enjoy. The hotel have swimming pool, restaurant, Spa service and also have underground parking area.
We some Indian peoples are staying here for last two days upto 14 days and hopefully can write a good review..good service ..... But Still to be check it guys..... I will be back again
I loved how they blend cultural and modern designs. I went their for a cultural wedding and it was beautiful. The staff was good.
Amazing service, clean room and great atmosphere.
Nega Bonger is up and running. My familys favorite getaway, in the middle of Addis.
I wish there is less than one star for the worst service I got. Very bad customer service, room service, food and cleanse.
What a lovely hotel to stay. Great service with amazing management from marketing to managers. All traditionally stuffed hotel, Which reflects the tradition of Ethiopia....Wifi everywhere.Highly recommended
This is a great hotel. Nice and contemporary. All the staff a very nice and polite too.
As a con what i can tell is its far from the center bole international airport but when we come to the quality there is no question👏
Far from the airport. Fair or moderate price. Nice customer caring. Hope i will book soon loved this place
I live in Addis & wanted to experience the hotel as advertised - a city getaway & stayed there for 1 night on October 13. The experience we had was awful on all regards. First,we were not given receipts for accommodation fee,the electronic door card was not working & we had to wait for 10 minutes before a casual staff who tried & got us a key. we had to talk for 5 different staff to get 2 bottled water & wait for 30 minutes or so on top of being charged extra room service fee . The breakfast we ordered was very cold & poorly prepared (the Sunnyside -up - omelette was cold & no trace of Sunnyside). On checking out,we were made to wait for 15 minutes before the front desk prepares the accommodation bill for the money we paid the previous day & before they finally manage to locate the exorbitant room service bill. What strikes me most was the same reluctance we daily experience in any ordinary hotel or shop regarding avoidance to issue a receipt by the front desk staff. There was no manager around to hear our complaint though we have asked a couple of times for his/her cell number except being told who ever runs the establishment, they run it from the US.
Terrible experience!Upon arrival at this hotel, the front desk agent attempted to charge my card AGAIN for a pre-paid booking that was made through Expedia. He then proceeded to tell me that breakfast was not included and that we would have to pay for it, which was not true. Breakfast was included with the booking.I booked the suite for myself and my two children, it smelled badly of cigarette smoke so I requested a new room. I offered to pay for an upgrade but they declined and in fact, DOWNGRADED us. The manager then pressured me to go back into the same smelly room the next day because the room was going to "be cleaned." I told him no several times, as cigarette smoke can be removed that easily, and the room should have been ready for us upon arrival. The DOWNGRADED room was okay for us, so I just asked if we would stay in that room but receive a refund of the difference in price. They avoided my question during our entire stay and I had to file a complaint with Expedia. Through Expedia they DECLINED TO REFUND THE DIFFERENCE siting "reservation policy."I will NEVER stay at this hotel again. Also, be careful as elevators arent safe in this hotel. Also, I had to ask twice for basic things such as menus to be brought to our room. This was a terrible experience to have as a first time visitor to Ethiopia. I will not have to dispute the hotel charges with my bank in the USA.
Great hotel. Warm, welcoming, friendly staff. Nice, comfortable bed in clean, spacious room. Pool, spa, cafe and restaurant.
Place is perfect for staying in Addis but feeling like out of city lodge and very fair price.
Hello ThereI have been yesterday ....before coming I would like make confirm through calls but ...not pick up your calls ...& not working ...what do mean .....my friend s also there and I want make call ...Pls check out your ......its not hospitality this way!
Creative and authentic interior design and high quality finishes (something you cant take for granted here). Rooms well equipped with up to date features and beds very comfortable. Restaurant decent, stronger with Ethiopian food than Western.
Stayed at Nega Bonger from November 23 to November 30. Over all the hotel is very classy very clean and well maintained. Staff is outstanding in general most are very reserved but extremely polite. Will benefit the hotel if they were more open and conversate with guest as they are the hotels main sales force. Wifi in the room was bad they have to change my room. Special thanks to the house keeping crew whom I never met and security in front. Hotel is also very reasonably priced what I paid is half of what l seen on line. For sure Nega Bonger will be my first choise for my future needs in Addis.Amare Mulatu
Comfortable African themed quite fair price with a Jacuzzi except the food its expensive and not so good swimming pool is nice breakfast was very good...
Good decent hotel. Outside the city center but reasonably priced. Spotty WiFi but this is more due to poor telecom infrastructure than hotels fault
The hotel really good, but the area is inconvenient.Unlike the online details, the suite only has a shower. No bathtub or jetted bathtub.Bathtubs and jetted bathtubs are only available in the superior rooms and the executive suites.
It Is excellent place to spend great time!! The meal is good, room service is perfect peoples are very friendly, the price is way fair. Honestly speaking it worth a lot. Highly recommended for those who need special stay in the capital, Addis Ababa.
This hotel has excellent service. The staff are helpful and well trained. It also has ample parking space. The location of the hotel is a bit far from the city center but if you have business in that area, great place to stay over night or just browse the internet.
Great hotel for the area, decent food, great coffee. Service is wonderful, they also have internet. Staff is superb!!!
Very clean and spacious rooms. Very friendly staff. Beautiful artistic design of the rooms. Spa, sauna, gym and massage. Beautiful pool. Would have given if 5 stars if the menu was more international and communication in English was easier. And the WiFi is free but poor.
A relatively new hotel in the City with thoughtful finishes. They have a very good spa here too. A cozy club at the basement is open on Saturdays - I experienced some good traditional music and dances.
Ohhh! How calm and beautifully cooked details in all walls and floors, in and out door surfaces! Thank You Mr. Nega!
Had a wonderful experience here. Very friendly and professional staff. The decor of the hotel is great. The rooms beautifully designed and comfortable. Swimming pool and sunna services. The only drawback is the poor wireless service especially in the rooms. Just a few routers in strategic locations in the hotel should sort that out!
I was in this hotel with my wife and my baby for 10 days. It was so amazing and nice by everything all workers are so nice and very polite . I wonn to give special thanks to morning shift Manger Dagime he was so amazing person thank you so much. And this hotel is very traditional and very nice but the only thing is as suggestion please make shure the supervise chakeup after the housekeeping cleaned the room.
Without a doubt one of the best and favourite hotels I stayed. I was picked up on arrival at the Bole airport and warmly welcomed by the staff who were extremely friendly. The room I stayed had beautiful scenery and It was refreshing for me every morning to wake up and look in that direction. I stayed two weeks in February and I am looking forward to my next month visit to the same hotel in Addis.
My time at Nega Bonger was excellent . My room was spacious and comfortable. Quiet during the night... had myself sleeping like a baby. The staff is hard working and very good, you can tell they are striving to excellence; from their inquiries on anything they can do to make your stay easier and more enjoyable. I have to agreed with the previous poster, Kassahun is superb representative of Nega Bonger management . So in closing , Nega Bonger was a excellent choice . Definitely looking forward to my next visit to Addis Ababa and lodging at Nega Bonger
Very pleasant stuff. The rooms are well designed. Comfortable bed and we enjoyed our stay there. This is a new hotel and still in the stage of improvement. We had minor issues, but corrected by manager right away. I am certain those issues will get corrected based on our feedback. The best thing about them is that they are willing to listen and take feedback and make correction. Kassahun, the restaurant manager and Chef Yacob are the great asset of the company. Also, the GM (I think Oliverwas great and spent time to make sure we express our feeling correct the situation. Again, we were very pleased and I am sure you will enjoy your stay at this hotel. Looking forward to stay here in our future trip to addis.
