Przepiękny kościół, wokół którego powstało osiedle ponad czterystu domków okolicznych mieszkańców, którzy nie byli w stanie dotrzeć na mszę i wrócić do domu jednego dnia. W obiekcie zachowały się freski (w prezbiterium); jak na moje wyczucie, z XVIII wieku. Na uwagę zasługuje bardzo ciekawa ambona oraz interesujący ołtarz, a dokładniej: nastawa ołtarzowa. Kościół, razem z domkami, został wpisany na Listę Światowego Dziedzictwa UNESCO. Naprawdę warto!

Upon entering we were offered a guided tour by a friendly and knowledgeable local, offering a lot of details about the history of the church village and how it became to be. The churchs interior holds interesting late medival paintings and an amazing altar. Thanks again.

Great looking church, the construction must have taken a long time with all the integrate work that gone into building it inside and out.Nederluleå Church is the largest medieval Lutheran church in Norrland. Norrland is the northernmost of the three traditional lands of Sweden, consisting of nine provinces.It forms a part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Gammelstad Church Town.

Nederluleån kirkko on ihana ja tunnelmallinen vanha kirkko, joka kutsuu hiljentymään Pyhän äärelle. Se on Norrlannin suurin keskiaikainen kirkko, jonka historian aistii jo kirkon ympärille rakennetusta Gammelstadin mökkikylästä. Kirkko on mökkikylän ohella osa Unescon maailmanperintökohdetta. Kirkon alttaritaulu on todella upea lukuisine yksityiskohtineen ja esimerkiksi saarnastuoli on hyvin koristeellinen. Kirkosta löytyy kivana yksityiskohtana lasten leikkialttari. Iso suositus tälle kirkolle: Älä aja ohi!

Interesting looking church with curious history. People working at the church are always happy to tell more about it. Leaflets with church’s history are available in multiple languages. Overall, worth a visit.

The beautiful stone church from the 15th century is the natural center of the UNESCO world heritage village. The hundreds of church cottages are scattered around the church. The amazing sounding church organ was built in Gammelstad, Grönlunds!
