Neda Waterfalls - Tourist attraction in Pyrgos, Greece
Dont forget to visit the cave.. its the most beautiful place and you will regret it if you dont go. Just be careful. You go left after the bridge at the first mini waterfall. You can swim inside the cave and go to the other side!
Just beautiful. Go off season for sure
We visited Neda Waterfalls after, having gone to Kalamaris waterfalls. I was expecting something a lot special, but at the end it was okay.Due to the publicity there were a lot of people, so the experience was meeh! Will go again off season only. The trail to go there is very easy and interesting. The majority of the people which is not fit at all, might experience some fatigue. For an average walker it is excellent.
Wonderfull place . A bit stressful for the car, but was worth it.
Amazing waterfalls!
The pathway is tricky and dangerous, wear sneakers or hiking shoes and not flip flops, but the place is amazing!
Its difficult to get there: you get by dirt road and hiking trail. But the water and the view are super!
The walk us not too long and the place is amazing. We did take a bath in the natural pool but be careful with that as the water is ice cold 😅 bring drinks and food along as you might not find anything there
Awesome location, the pathway isn’t hard to go through but I advise you to take shoes instead of flip flops because it’s slippery. First you’ll encounter a smaller waterfall and when you go through it and continue on the path you’ll get to see the bigger one. There is also a hidden chapel. We came there around 8 am and there were no people. We had it all to ourselves and it was August! 🥳🍀
Fantastic place! Just be aware that the path is quite challenging!!!
I like the walk up to it.The waterfall is pretty.I honestly enjoyed the river more at the start of the walk to swim.
Another great (out of the waystop in the Peloponnese. Its about a 20 minute hike (moderate but prettyfrom the road to get to the pair of natural waterfalls. They are both quite beautiful! Make sure you continue on past the first to visit the 2nd, larger falls just a it further. Stunning, crystal blue water (and nearly ice cold if you decide to swim. Quite an unexpected adventure..
Definitely with visiting. Two pieces of advise... Dont take young children as the pathway is in some areas very slippery, and definitely not for the unfit as the pathway has a lot of ups and downs. Found out a bit of a struggle but patience made it worth the effort of going there.Wear walking shoes, take water
Beautiful waterfall with an hidden little church. It’s a shame you can’t reach the other waterfalls that you can see for further away.
Fantastic waterfalls! Visit during spring where the water is plenty. You can swim if the weather is hot!
Beautiful natural spot but pathway to the falls not maintained. Care needs to be taken with young children, older individuals or people with any mobility issues.
The path to reach it was a bit difficult but worth it...LOVED IT.
Amazing creation of the nature! Must visit in the area. Make sure you’re wearing comfortable shoes and clothes because even 650 m. from the parking is some kind of adventure😉 We were there in February and there are no people.
The place is beautiful. The drive there is nice, the hike to the falls is not difficult, and it’s all around great. There is a great little cantina just before you start the walk. Be careful with kids as railings are old and falling apart, there are slippery rocks and cold water. Come in tennis shoes, bring towels and warm clothes for the kids after getting out of the water.Ps. Please bring back any trash you accumulate!!!
A place everyone should visit and feel the nature’s energy flow in your body.Unique place with rich colours and beautiful hiking path. The difficulty is normal if you have good shoes and keep pace normal .If you look around there is cliff from the side this section must be really careful.I believe that during winter time all this stone are slippery.Take your time to pass all the section and finally you will be rewarded with a beautiful waterfall.Actually there is two of them there .
A place with the beauty of Paradise, teal blue ice cool water. The small one not suitable for kids and the big one is perfect for small kid. The way to go to the fall is very tricky and dangerous. Keep in mind dont take any hand carry bag. You can take a shoulder bag but not so heavy. Wear a good converse or hiking shoe. If the government make the way accessible for everyone more tourist can visit the place.
A place of adventure and beauty of paradise. A must visit place if you love nature. But the way to the fall is very dangerous and tricky if you have a small child with you. Remember this, dont carry any heavy backpack except shoulder bag and wear a good converse shoe or hiking shoe.
Amazing place but very crowdy especially on Sundays, so you cannot actually swim there as there is not much space!Dont get scared and park the car on the first parking. The road has some difficulty but every car can go down to the closest parking, we saw even small cars doing it so no need for 4x4 its a bit of a stretch ;Nevertheless the parking is also small so you might end up not finding a spot but either way its worth it because its a hard uphill to walk under the sun after youve been to the waterfalls ;)Also I did all the hiking with flip-flops, not ideal but easily doable so dont miss this opportunity just because you dont have hiking shoes with you ;)Enjoy!!
Fantastic scenery, nice trecking, a bit hard but worth it!! Reached by motorcycle near the Cantin, it needs basic off road skills though.
Not bad, but Polylimnio Waterfalls are so much better!
Its like youve stepped on another planet. Is this Eden?
The northern road (2020was not as bad as described in other reviews. Definitely accessible by a regular car. After you park, you walk for 5 and right after the canteen take the path at your right for an other 15 of trekking difficulty level 1.The only disadvantage of this place is that it so far away from everything making it questionable if a visit just for the waterfalls worths it. Maybe it could be combined with a visit to the temple of epikourios Apollo.
If this was more easily accessible, I would rate this higher, but it’s so remote I cannot recommend coming here for this alone (unless the journey/hike is the point). It takes a lot of time to reach this place and although you drive through beautiful landscapes, the time would be better spent on other things on your list. The waterfall itself was just not as impressive if you’ve been to other parts of the world (Zion park, Scotland, Norway).
One of the nicest waterfall to visit in Peloponese Peninsula
Awesome scenery, specially when theres a lot of water in the creek
Nice but please be aware that the journey down by car is difficult and people arent exaggerating when they say walk to waterfall is demanding (a little bit of scrambling with your hands). Dont take the young or the old. Also a little crowded but you would expect that as its a nice place. Photo is of me and my son (water was cold).
Beautiful small river canyon with waterfalls and tiny lakes with icy waters! A must visit in the summer if you are in the area!
Amazing and adorable place which has to be visited. Waterfalls in the mountains and a quite challenging to reach. Part of the drive is off road, but we enjoyed it. You also have to walk and the way is not the easy path. No way to get there with walking disabilities. You need to take a lot of water with you if you are going there in Summer. But once you are there it is well worth. The first waterfall is smaller, but just few meters up you will get to the bug waterfall and a small lake. ***Please follow the water from the big waterfall toward small one and you will find adorable place between waterfalls. For some reason other tourist dont see this place and even in the busiest time we were there all alone. It is like a hidden gem. We made there most beautiful pictures there****
Very beautiful place. Must visit if you happen to be in the area. To reach the waterfalls, you will need good shoes and a bottle of water. There is also a cantine on the path.
You can reach with a car all the way to the kantina and hike for 10-15 minutes to the first waterfall, then another 60 meters to the big waterfall. Amazing place, fresh cold water, make sure to wear closed shoes for the hike- not recommended to wear flip flops.
Grab your athletic shoes, a bottle of water and enjoy one of the most beautiful places, nature has to offer. Dont miss the chance to swim in the Summertime
Challenging walk through the forest, adequate shoes are a must. The path was cleared, but most of the wooden railing was collapsed. However, it is worth while, the temperature was pleasant for an August afternoon, and you can take a bath in the cold water of the big waterfall. The path from the small waterfall to the big one is quite difficult after the bridge, though we have seen people wearing flip flops managing it just fine. It was a little crowded in the afternoon.
Very beautiful land side for pictures walking and bath in the cold waters. Visit it if you pass by.
Beautiful spot but not a destination for the faint hearted. A bit of a trek to get to, a very challenging car journey but genuinely one of the most beautiful places I have visited. Not wheel chair or pram friendly.
Really beautiful place!!bring running shoes and water!! Hike is doable if you are in decent shape but you need to take your time and be prepared for climbs and dips.
its such a beautiful place.. especially if you love nature!you can swim, walk, dive in the water! dont skip it if you are around!
Not worth the bad road. Visited on the first of June and there was barely any water falling. The valley is nice, and maybe worth the visit if youre trekking, but if youre in a hurry, care about your car or not willing to do some walking on a grade, just skip it, nothing to lose.
Amazing views! You should walk around 15 minutes, but it definitely worth it! The water is not salty, but very cold, so we didnt swim.
Just nature, nothing except a small shop but amazing view and waters!
Amazing waterfalls and landscape. Plus, the Greek flora is so beautiful! Definitely worth a visit.
AMAZING, MAGICAL PLACE- beautiful, peaceful and fun!!! A definite must see- worth the treck!
Beautiful place, hidden in the forest. Perfect for a hot summer day if you want to escape from the beach.
A wonderful natural wonder, hidden amidst the mountains. The road there is very treacherous, though, so be extra careful!
Great waterfalls. A bit of a hike.
Lovely water falls. Well worth the journey. Cars can be driven down to paths but these are mountain tracks levelled but tight curves. Not for the cautious driver Or posh car. A 800mtr track up and down rough tracks gets you to the falls
