Open-air living-history village depicting Galilee in the time of Jesus, with crafters & villagers.
Loved the food. It was more of Indian taste and cuisine. Enjoyed the presentation about olive tree.Jesus represented as our saviour and we the sheep with a gate guarding us and fences around .The grape crushing site and how Jesus was crushed for us.Olive oil extraction with three stages of olive extraction. The potter and the pot .The old women weaving cloth.A must visit for all
Lovely tour, not expensive at all for what you get. Very nice!
Fabulous, walking through an area where Jesus will have walked. A very interesting guide explaining the way things were 2000yrs ago. We had a biblical lunch here.
Superlative in every way. Our guide and the welcome, the tour and the atmosphere, were all terrific. Very inspiring and informative.
its not authentic but every thing made from the authentic materials. we can learn what they in that past, we can know what happened at that time and every thing base on baible
A guided walk through the typical village life of first century Nazareth, interacting with actors from the current town of Nazareth, from growing and processing of olives, shepherding, wool weaving, pottery making, carpentry, and a reading from the Torah in the synagogue. A very meaningful experience.
I really loved the way they have made it into an artificial Nazareth village of ancient times!
Wonderful Place featuring Nazareth of Bible times with a Vineyard and Winepress along with an ancient Synagogue of olden times. Worthy place of visit to relive the times of the Bible..
Want to know about the time of Christ and how the people lived? Then this is the place. The people we very friendly and knowledgeable.I would recommend it to anyone.
The tour guide was eloquent and knowledgeable. I went with a large group and it was very enjoyable.
Wonderful and interesting experience. Very informative and well organised. Also worth it to visit Daniël Wines next door.
iam a part of the Church of Christ..... we are learning Jesus life...Israel and Egypt are one of my favorite country, the Jerusalem and the Nazareth..
Great knowledgeable guidesWell developed site showing how life was 2000 years ago. Including wine press, olive press, weaving, shepherds and synogogue all reconstruct accurately. The paths can be gravelly and if you are alittle unsteady on your feet besides wearing hiking shoes stay on the paths!Food offered at the meal is plentiful, biblically accurate and well presented with a smile. My tourists say it tastes delicious. And the kitchen is spotless. There’s a souvenir shop with large selection from books to spices to jewelry. Very meaningful for my groups.
Great place to learn Hands-On details of what it was like 2000 years ago. Many of the stories of the Bible clearly explained by taking this tour.
Our guide was excellent and the food was too. We were in a large group and it was hot, so limited shade was at a premium. Still recommend!
You need to be on a pre booked here to be able to visit. So either book ahead or try to come early and get a spot on any of the tours running during the day. Going without a tour will be useless as without explanation the sites doesnt make sense. It is an open air museum showing how things were in Nazareth around the biblical times. The guide was very enthusiastic, I think the experience was good.
I was surprised how much I enjoyed this tour. Our guide was excellent. He used examples from the farm and orchard to compare with the teachings Jesus used from scriptures. They gave such new inspiration for the olives, grapes, sheep, wheat, etc that Jesus would have been accustom to in his life growing up in this area.
Incredible place. The experience there helps you to understand Jesusteachings better. Definitely worth the visit, time and money.
This place is really nice. They have gone to great lengths to make sure everything is as authentic as possible to recreate what Nazareth would have been like at the time of Jesus. The people working were very knowledgeable and friendly.
AWESOME place! Everyone should visit.
Great for what it is. Small but well done. A lot of these places while unimpressive on their own right, are extremely valuable to understand the life of Jesus, as they explain the root of so many parables and customs of the era that shaped Jesuss live. A few live animals, a quite capable guide and a ton little tidbits that will help you understand day to day life in the time of Jesus.
One of my favorite spots! Great experience, Excellent guide ❤🙏
Awesome experience, there is a lot of things to learn and to see. Our guide Joy was very interesting and the cherry on top was the meal reproducing the one they had in the first century: tasty, fresh, beautiful! Staff was particularly caring
We were the first visitors after the lockdown. Though we couldnt experience the usual complete visit, but we had a short tour where we could get some feel of how people lived long ago. It was a guided tour in English and he was good in explaining things.
This place is well worth visiting! The people are so friendly, and want to share how life would have been in the first century! I hope I can get a chance to go back someday! I would give more than five stars if I could!
Nazareth Village is a re-creation of what the city would have looked like back in Jesus day.Nazareth had about 500 people in the time of Jesus.John 1:46. "Nazareth? Can anything good come from there?" Yes! Nazareth is where Jesus grew up. The hometown of Mary and Joseph. The place where the angel, Gabriel, visited Mary to tell her that she will give birth to Jesus. Of course, Jesus wasnt born in Nazareth, but in Bethlehem because they were traveling for the Roman census.
Absolutely beautiful. The guides are very knowledgeable and tell you very many things about the biblical topics. Jesus lived very close to this area. They have examples of knitting and oil press. They are building a new areal. It is going to be beautiful. It sits near a hospital that is all part of the program. The gift shop is nice and affordable. If you do the tour you will get an oil lamp or pot for free.
Nazareth Village is a well constructed replica of village life in the time of Jesus at the Sea of Galilee.A guide takes groups of people through the village to experience life as it was. Our guide was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all kinds of questions. We saw a replica of Jesus’s tomb with a circular rock at the entrance, how a wine press worked, how they used to press olives, how they worked with wood and lots more. This guided tour through history is well worth your time.
Very awesome to visit this recreation of Nazareth! One of my favorite stops in Israel! A lot of information and a lot to learn of the way Jesus lived and the everyday life of Nazareth!
Another highlight of the journey. In house tour available in many different languages. Our guide was very knowledgeable and humorous. Its good to let both adult and children experience life in Nazareth in the first century. I would go back again if there is another opportunity.
A very good place to know the life of Nazarene during Jesus period. Some bible stories can also be visualised here.
Really interesting to see the way Nazareth village was at the time of Jesus. The village is based on a farm that was in use in the first century and likely was visited by Jesus himself (being around 500m from where he allegedly lived).Be aware you should book ahead of time and the tours are guided and infrequent, do not simply turn up or you could be waiting a long time for the next available tour. The "village" is a set of actors, that are typically volunteers. We found the tour guide was preaching about Christ a bit more than wed like, but this the village is run by a Christian organisation so we probably shouldnt have been surprised by this.
Nazareth Village was an INCREDIBLE experience. I would encourage everyone to stop by and experience this place. They are so knowledgeable and really help to bring the Bible alive. Thank you for the work youre doing!
We loved the presentation but they definetely need to expand to include more of the town experience and maybe see and meet the Holy Family as they lived 2000 years ago
Amazing place like a walk thru museum. Takes you back to the 1st century. I think this ranks #1 in educational tour in Israel.
We really enjoyed the visit at the village. Our guide Zander was very thorough and enjoyable. He gave great illustrations that made the were inspiring.
I came here with a tour group. They were very professional. We had an awesome guide named Rod. I loved seeing how Nazareth would have looked during the time of Jesus.
How exciting to be transported back in time to when Christ was alive on the earth as a boy. Super presentation. Amazing staff.
Amazing site to visit on your pilgrimage trip to Israel. This village is designed as a town to imitate the way life was during Jesus time. People are dressed in traditional clothing and engage in activities such as turning wool into threads, making old farming tools (using old tools), planting and growing lettuces and cabbage, and much more. It will really transport you 2000 years back. The guides are professional and amazing.A little hard for people with disabilities and its not wheelchair accessible.
Close your eyes and hear the 2000 years old sounds as you wonder through the labyrinth of structures. Watch a carpenter chiseling or a woman looming a beautiful carpet. Truly a place of peace and serenity.
An exciting one hour and 15 minutes tour giving a glimpse into the daily life around Jesus time. It features real life actors that have different trades from they time. The village is a restored first century farm with one of (or the onlyfully reconstructed first century synagoge. Worth a visit!
Arranged an English tour in advace. They were flexible with us when we called ahead while running late and waited an extra 15 minutes for us even after that. Excellent Biblical explanations, actors and recreations brought ancient Nazareth and Biblical parables to life. Authentic ancient wine press was a nice bonus. 1.5 hour tour. Highly recommended!
Very fun place, it gives a great idea of what Nazareth and Israel looked like in the first century.Plus you can enjoy delicious meals from that time. Its a very recommendable experience.
Nazareth Village is a helpful re-enactment/interpretation of life during the 1st century AD. The staff is very knowledgeable. Their facilities are nice. You can also eat a very good lunch their!
Encient Israel life re arranged in a wonderful way in acres of lands. Joseph and Mary, carpenters work , olive press, synagogue model.... there to see and for study puposes. Hyssop plants, fig tree, olive trees... too.Traditional Jesus time food is awesome , must visit this place
We had a nice tour with a guide. He walks a little bit fast but he tells us all the things about Nazareth in the year 0 till 30
A life like village created to depict what Nazareth would have looked like when Jesus lived there. Showing tools used for carpentry a wine press, synagogue etc. I found this was the best place to purchase souvenirs while visiting Israel.
A must see in Nazareth - to see how things were during the time of Jesus helps bring everything to life. They have ... and are still reconstructing as well as reenacting different roles. Our guide was terrific.
This is a wonderful tour to get a flavor for what life was like in the time of Jesus. Craftsmen give demonstrations and the guide was excellent. Th grounds are lovely. One person in our group is not very steady on her feet and the steep walks and narrow steps were tough fo her. I set up tickets beforehand since the times sell out quickly. We got ours the day before but there are lots of tour groups that visit the place.
What a gem! Go on a guided tour, they explain every aspect of the life of Christ to you. People even get dressed up and reenact the things that were normal back then - weaving, carpentry, herding, making food. So cool. Our guide sang to us in the makeshift synagogue. His voice was amazing. He was entertaining and so nice. They feed you afterwards and the food is authentic and original. Fresh and takes you way back in the day. Even their cutlery was authentic. Some dishes you had to drink out of a bowl. It is what Christ would have chomped on. Highly recommended to go here.
