Nature's Oasis in Durango

Like this place a lot. They have great vegan selections. Wish we could shop more often. Took off a star because they are out of a lot of things and I have to drive in. But staff is friendly and helpful.

Deli is tasty but expensive and the service is very slow, definitely try it but give yourself at least 25 minutes if you are getting something made like a sandwich or smoothie!

Today was at this store, August 8,202. All items are beautifully displayed on shelves and in produce dept BUT my rating is including important factor of customer service which needs addressing. My comment about rudeness is not the only one on here. The guy in liquor dept was flat out rude. The deli dept was very disorganized. 4 people working behind counter but ignored everyone that was waiting. Finally when a gal asked what we wanted , she was very attitudinal; in looks and actions. Why doesn’t the store address need for needed improved customer service???? Better to go down road a little further.

My partner loves to joke that I’m addicted to the deli here. The service is great, the sandwiches and wraps are sublime, and apparently this is the only place in Durango that makes a decent smoothie.

Beautiful place to shop. Found every specialty item on my list. The most incredibly helpful and friendly staff!

I understand the pandemic was not fun, and required much from staff at any of the businesses that weathered through the storm. That said, as much as I appreciate Natures Oasis-we spend some serious cash here-, the service at any other market is currently far and away better than here. Why are your cashiers so unhappy with their jobs? rude, actually. Tyler is one who says hello, asks to help bag some groceries...you know, does his job with professional attitude. Missed you today, Tyler.

Lovely grocery store. They have all the things and more. Health foods to home products.Clean, well organized. It was a joy shopping here. The people of Durango are lucky to have such a beautiful place to shop for lifes necessities.

I would like to shout out the front end manager, I think his name is Josh. He went out of his way to come help me check out and so very helpful and friendly! I appreciate it with all the nastiness in this world

Listen, they have nice products, but oh man are they Seriously expensive. Cashier was rude too. If youre coming here, bring your cashbox and your piggybank.

Great selection, clean store and the deli in the back is the cherry on top! Only downside is there is no members program to help you save $ in the long run.

I love this place!!! The healthy natural food. The supplements. The deli selections. The dining area with microwave. I like to use the wifi also. Even most of the staff is nice and friendly. 5 stars!!!

This is a rating for the deli foods. You’d think at $10 per pound that the deli salads would have some flavor. The quinoa salad- flavorless, bland. The ceaser chicken salad- very mediocre. This seems to be a theme with many of the deli items.This is a great business that could be so much better if they put some more effort into providing better tasting deli offerings.

First stop when we got to town to get some supplies. Clean restrooms were so appreciated. Beautifully taken care of inside the store and out. The flowers outside are a nice touch. Great bakery items.

Theyve got everything you need if its healthy and organic. Friendly helpful staff and reasonable prices. Youll love the butcher shop. I prefer to shop here because its localTry it! Youll see.

This place is amazing. I love the deli. I stopped by randomly one day while riding my bike along the trail and was pleasantly surprised. Since then Ive been stopping by every time to grab a sandwich or anything really (its all yummy). The ingredients are healthy, fresh and actually filling. My 3 year old also has no problem eating here which is a huge win considering what picky eaters toddlers can be. Im obsessed. Give it a shot, there are so many delicious things to choose from!

A fantastic store where I can find quality foods and great service! I dont like shopping at Whole Foods (Im glad there isnt one in town), but I love shopping at Natures Oasis!

Love the place, its always clean its got good food good groceries good remedies. Highly recommended for anyone who likes the natural grocers as well. We drive 45 minutes just to shop here

Ive been here 2x BUT the staff is so lovely and helpful. The deli is amazing. Just got one of their smoothies and its the best smoothie Ive had in a long time. 100% will return :)

Such a huge selection of excellent natural products. Definitely not the place to go if price is your main concern, but its a really nice store. Always happy with my purchases, but the cashiers seem like they wish they were somewhere else; not rude, but not very customer oriented.

I love shopping here. They have the best variety of kombucha and unique, healthy foods and drinks. They have elk and bison here, as well.They have a gluten free bakery section. They have keto foods and snacks. The deli has awesome sandwiches with very friendly, attentive staff.

Very nicely kept store: clean, well stocked with a butcher and a bakery. Kind staff. High price, but quality products. Moderately busy but not crowded. Mask policy complied.

I was accosted last week by a young man, over 20 years my junior b/c my mask was not all the way up. I was mortified that he thought to have any "power" over me. It is a violation of my constitutional right to breathe clean oxygen! We need to stand up and realize that masks only bring down our immunity. And if they work as they are supposed to, then if someone else wears their mask, the fact that I may not be, shouldnt matter. I was appalled at the treatment I received. I spend hundreds of dollars a month at this store, and it is no longer worth the anxiety, the panic, and the treatment. They claim to be a "health" store, but do nothing to consider what real health truly is. This store is out of control!

The manager Josh is on a power trip. Extremely rude and harassing. Ruined our entire shopping experience, next time we will just go down the road to natural grocers like we normally do. Every other employee was kind and helpful. Josh should be fired for his rudeness to paying customers. He *tried* to take a full shopping cart from my 6 ft 7 husband and prevent him from checking out. We still got our groceries despite being harassed by a manager that thinks he runs a country.

So grateful for this store! Im visiting from Austin and no matter where I am, because of the way I choose to eat, I always look for stores that have healthy, clean, organic, gluten free options. This store has been perfect!! I love their prepackaged foods, great for dinner and snacks! Amazing vegan and gluten free desserts in their bakery as well!

Always great, clean, organized. Always can find helpful employees in the isle who know where things are or have helpful suggestions. Currently they are offering hand sanitizer when you walk in and gloves to shop with during COVID. Very thoughtful of them to offer those things

In the middle of a pandemic, where cases are rising faster than anywhere else in the state, I didnt feel safe shopping here. The checkers mask was half off her face, exposing her nose. If youre willing to shop dangerously (Im notits basically a nice store--often higher priced than Natural Grocers, but larger.

Good natural and organic selection if thats what youre looking for. Very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Very convenient if your looking for an adult beverage as well since they have a liquor store attached with the same entrance.

Charles (manager of Jack’s Meat Marketis simply the best. I am not one to write reviews, but I came into the store this morning with a question about a purchase I made 2 weeks ago. The lady I was speaking with let Charles know, and he quickly came to the floor and asked what he could do to make sure I was happy with my purchase. Their meat is already the best in the Durango area, but I learned today that their people are just as good! Thanks, Charles and the entire Jack’s Meat Market crew- you’re the only place I’ll be purchasing meat from now on :)

Customer service was awesome!Absolutely love this place! I was there visiting my son and we picked up the salmon cakes with the sauce, and they were amazingly good!!! I keep telling my son to ask for the recipe... 😁. would love to make them for myself.

Worst customer service experience ever and from the manager nonetheless. Natures Oasis website states they pride themselves on customer service, they might want to reevaluate who they put in management because with Andrew, theyre false advertising any sense of excellence. His rudeness to me was not only offensive but was noticed by other customers and employees whom I imagine hes supposed to be modeling behavior for. I shopped here weekly , took colleagues from out of town to the deli for lunch and have spent hundreds of dollars using the deli for healthy catering for events put on by the the large company I work for. Today is the last day I will be doing business with Natures Oasis!

They have an excellent selection of natural items. The woman the register was very rude for no reason. She aggressively grabbed the card out of my hand, and then proceeded to throw my stuff to the side like she was angry. Very rude for no reason.

Love this store. SO many awesome items if you care about food quality!! Not sure why there are several bad reviews about customer service. We have only had great Interactions!! Wish we had this store at home.

We got judge head to toe before we cash out. The cashier was so judgmental. And she had an attitude toward us for being brown. When I politely gave her my debit card. She hand it back to me in my hand with Aggressive force. She was very rude.

Love this market!! During my attempted move to Durango this was my go-to store and how I miss it. Just love the food and the staff, so friendly and helpful. Enjoyed going here for lunch and all my fresh food needs.

Great selection of produce! I really enjoy being here and seeing all the different brands they carry! Unfortunately this place and almost everywhere Ive been to in Durango tend to make me feel unwelcome. Example: store clerks following me, watching my every move, or avoiding me in general. Its really sad Durango is big on accepting LGBT and so on, but groups with ethnic backgrounds, that are plain out obvious, tend to be treated less than others.

UnhappyI shop here a couple of days a week. Recently bought 2 boxes Lundberg Rice, on sale. Once home I noticed register charged regular price. Went back, no service desk, went to register and young girl ran, left 3 other people standing in line, to price check. She told me risotto not included in sale, AD STATED ALL VARIETIES!I asked for manager and she said she was manager.I was upset. It was only $2 overage, but I would not have purchased for regular price, cheaper at City Market.I will not say I wont shop here again, but I will watch like a hawk in future, regardless of line behind me.

A man named Josh helped me out when I was in a tight spot and trying to do a complicated exchange on a deadline. It really made a big difference for me. I always stop when I am on my way through Durango because of the awesome selection and the excellent customer service. Help keep small health food stores alive!

This store is a tight ship. Very clean and well organized inside and out. They even have free WiFi! Great selection of alcoholic beverages as well as healthy foods ready-to-eat. I just loved the atmosphere tons of fresh flowers are positioned outside and theres plenty of seating in case you want to eat there. A little pricey, but I think its worth it.

The deli is great. They make FANTASTIC pre-made salads . They are SOOO good. From the contents to the dressings. Do have some issues - 1. Never make enough Greek salad. They sell out fast and they should make more . 2. The salad that is always available is the Red Mtn Chicken - very good, but, they have WAYYYYYYYY too many cranberries and the skin is left on the chicken. Gross. Really, THE BEST salads in town. Hope you can tweak your offerings a little. Thank you so much!!!! Eat these salads - you wont regret (please dont raise the price now that Im raving!!!!)

Too many snotty, white, pretentious shoppers. Lived in area over 13 yr - still cant feel comfortable here. I do; however, love the deli and typically the check out clerks are friendly. When im in good company, i love to sit in the table seating area & if the weather permits - sitting outside!

Natures Oasis is worth a visit for their deli alone, not to mention the bakery and meat market that are also housed in this lovely store. Their lunch specials are fantastic and they offer a variety of vegetarian, gluten free, and vegan options. Freshly made sandwiches, smoothies, juices, and even sushi are available as well. Their selection of skincare products is great and their bulk goods section is good as well. Sunnyside farms offers the best bacon Ive ever tried while Serious Delights has scrumptious baked goods on offer. Their prices are not inexpensive, but no more than you would expect for a locally owned health food store. There is indoor and outdoor seating available for patrons; both areas are perfect for digging into your selection from the deli. Lastly, in late summer/early fall theres a man who sells roasted chilies out front. If you happen to see him make sure to buy some as they are delicious.

Was treated very poorly when trying to return mini diffusers that cracked after using only one time. Even though I had purchased them one hour previous and 3 workers recognized me and they had the credit receipt for over $100 I was told it was my problem and not theirs.My tip would be not to buy anything here without printing the receipt (silly me wanted to save paper and the environment and didnt get oneor just dont buy anything at all here.I am updating my review to two stars because finally a very nice guy credited the money back because I was able to get replacement parts from the diffuser company. This has been a looong and difficult process and I was so sad to see the manager of that department storm off as I was getting my refund because she didnt want things to work out for me.I am so grateful that at least one person there still has the sense to value customer service! Unfortunately not enough for me to ever return:((((
