Natural Science Museum of Valencia in Massamagrell

Its a small but interesting museum. Some South American animal2 remains not often seen in museums. Also whale skeleton.Entrance was free of charge.

Great Museum, just 2€ entrance, cool stuff

It is a great place! There is so much to see and learn, I spent a great part of my afternoon there and I think it was totally worth it.Es un maravilloso museo, hay tantas cosas por ver y que aprendes en una sola visita, super recomendado, no hay duda.

So interesting to know about the different types of marine and land types of living creatures in Valencia! I’m honestly surprised at how much you could learn from a small visit. My favorite part of the museum was the mineral section where they showcased a huge variety of them and their uses.

Rocks. Fossils, skeleton, prehistoric animals. Free on Sundays. I went there because it was right next to the fine arts museum. I wasnt really interested in going at first. But i am glad I did. I really enjoyed this place! Definitely not a must see though. You can visit it in 15 min.

Living near London you expect grandness from a Natural History Museum... Grandiose it is not! €2 per adult entry.It was, however, a lovely little museum with some excellent fossils, a fabulous shell collection (although you cant necessarily see all of them welland some crystals/minerals (which may be a temporary installation).We took our 3.5 year old - Im not sure it held his attention particularly well which impacted our ability to digest what we were seeing and names and descriptions are not consistently given in English so you arent always entirely sure what you are looking at.Opposite the entrance is a snack shack so food and drink available but not within the actual museum.

A natural history museum within a beautiful park. An excellent location to enjoy nature and to visit with children. After 3 p.m., entry is free.

A wonderful place to visit during a hot weekend with visits being free on Saturdays and Sundays from 3 pm. The area surrounding the museum is gorgeous and the museum itself is quite interesting. Its not really big, it took around 30-45 minutes to check all the exhibits without rushing.A nature lover would definitely enjoy their visit here, I recommend it.

My son loved it. There are some English descriptions added in the last year.

Everything as expected except that the dinosaur exhibitions were not available, if that’s one of the things you mainly want to see keep that in mind

It’s a really small and modest museum, but my kid had such a great time that I have to give it 5 stars. It has quite a few skeletons of really impressive looking prehistoric animals, including an Allosaurus. There’s even a place where you can touch a (supposedlyreal dinosaur bone, and my kid was absolutely mind blown by that. 😂

Quick tour. Nice for children.

Museum feels like a hidden gem which requires more advertising. Was in several Natural science museums in Europe, and this one feels really cosy, has a decent collection of exibits in one place and can be seen in about an hour. Ticket prices are only 2€ for adults, and children under 12 years have free entry.

If you like Dino crops and fossils you will love this place. The exibithion is well organised and attractive. With the surranding, beautiful garden you can feel yourself at Jurassic Word.

Nice museum, when I visited (it was Mondaythe entrance was free. Most of the text next to the exponats is in Spanish with some also in English. Tidy, logically laid out. Would definitely recomment if you are nature history fan (dont expect British History museumor if you have a kid who is. Pleasant surprise.

Free museum, nice place.

It is very nice to have a museum like this in Valencia. I have to mention that it is an excellent educational place, especially for children.Entry to the museum is free. It contains quite a lot of objects and exhibits. Fossils, reproductions of dinosaurs, incredible minerals, so on. to various animal species and traditions. Highly recommended for both adults and children.

Pretty small museum, nevertheless was very interesting for the kids.

Small museum, not a lot of things to see, had max. 5% of what the NHM in London has.Non the less, I could appreciate they had prehistoric exhibits, plus the entrance was free.

Completed the small exhibition in less than 30 minutes, so its great for young children who may be engaged longer. The natural gems and crystals were my favorite part.

Nice but its not that much attractive. Mostly exhibits laying down with descriptions and most of it in Spanish only so it makes it difficult to understand for foreigners.

Free entrance - great for kids. Nice park around to walk with a small restaurant to get something to drink or eat.

I dont know how much is the ticket but it was free on sunday.....must visit ... with old reptiles and insects and dinosaur structures it is more enjoyable to see those things

Fun and free. You need to speak a bit of Spanish to read all the information. Also a bit small. But as I said, free and lots of fun

Free entrance and great expo

The history of the planet and life is well ordered and nicely made, samo impresive fosiles to se here.

Great exhibition, very interesting! Staff is very nice, the place is tidy. It is surrounded by a park and has a caffe.

Fantastic and educational museum with many spectacular fossils of dinosaurs and other extinct species, especially South American megafauna. Also, many other nature-related pieces. Sometimes temporary exhibitions of great interest, like the amazing collection of minerals we may have enjoyed these last years. Any nature lover, dinosaur nerd, and most children will enjoy them so much. Located in the middle of the Viveros gardens (="Jardines de Viveros" = "Jardines del Real"), its a no so long visit you may include in a walk through these nice gardens. Close to the important Saint Pius V, an outstanding, amazing museum of classical art.

Unfortunately most of the interactive parts of the museum were not available. On top of that more than half of the explanations and texts available were only in Spanish so less interesting for us as we do not understand Spanish. Maybe it was different before covid but as of now I would not recommend

Beautiful walks through well throughout gardens. Little parks for energetic children and a lovely cafe outside the museum.

Really packed with displays despite the small size. The garden outside is also worth a walk.

Very cozy and at the same time modern museum. Highly recommended for kids who fancy dinosaurs, regardless of age. To be honest, we like this museum much more than its counterpart in Madrid. Not to mention the fact that its location couldnt be better, and the whole Viveros Garden is a place of beauty.

Small museum. Not so many showcases, few reconstructions of dinosaurs (found in local areas in Spain and South America), not so much interaction.Cheap ticket so maybe could be worth a visit for a child interested in dinosaurs. No more than 1 hour to visit all.

One of the places that one should visit in Valencia. Not only for science lovers but also for curious people. It has a variety of valuable remnants that are taken from diffrent places in the world.

Very appropriate for a relaxing walk in the sun

Very small museum which is free after three on Sundays or €2 for adults. Its worth €2. Touch fossils, bones and look at some dinosaur bones. Its a nice way to spend half an hour whilst youre walking around the gardens anyway.

Nice museum in the middle of a very nice park. Free admission on Sundays and Saturday after 15hrs...rest of the days they charge a contribution of ~2 euros

Nice interesting place, good for kids. The entrance price is just 2 euros /adults and 1 euro /kids. Perfect for a family visit at the weekend

This place is, by comparison to other museums, quite small. What it lacks in size is more than made up for by the displays. They are well laid out, plenty of information to accompany the display (it does help if you understand a little Spanish, there are English translation too). The Botet display is very good with excellently presented fossils. There is a fascinating display on bees and their importance in food production. The building is well laid out and comfortable atmosphere. I highly recommend a visit. For €2 per person, the price of a coffee, you cannot go wrong.

Nice museum though small they have a great collection of large South American mammal fossils. Entrance is only 2 euros but there is nowhere to break larger bills in the area.
