Native Stories - in Kohima, India
A very good place to halt . Very clean and the host was so sweet .
I loved everything about this place. The tiny little dorms with bunker beds had a cute ambience.Hot water was available in the common restroom with all the essentials that one needs. No smoking inside which really enhances the clean environment of the homestay. But at any point you want to, you can just go to the balcony without passing on passive smoke to the other occupants. The terrace will give you a clear view of the sky from where you can gaze at the stars and also chill with your group.I have been to Nagaland several times and its beautiful, everyone you meet there will always try to help you in one way or another, but this homestay is the one that I will recommend to each and every folk visiting.Thank you to Neisatoh, Meno for being so helpful and to Menos mom and sis for the very tasty food that did not let us miss home at all.Love love and love to you guys!!❤️
Best homestay youll ever find A1 GG if you want comfortable homestay you should be here 🤝🏻
Great place and really nice people. We visited Dzukou valley and saw other attractions in Nagaland like Khonoma and Kohima. Would definitely go back again and stay here.
We stayed 5 nights in their Dorm Rooms. the rooms had 4 bunks and a common washroom(which is hardly an inconvenience shared amongst 12 dorm boarders. Neisato and BB are amazing hosts, we had great conversations with them. Food is freshly cooked and all meals are delicious. A lot of farm and kitchen garden produce is on display and used in the food preparation. The homestay is a short walk away from Hornbill festival grounds. Bonfires are lit at times in the cold weather. Sheets , bed linen n towels were freshly changed and smelt like home. Nights are really cold during hornbill, but they had sufficient blankets handy for us to use. They also help organize village walks, Dzouku and Mt Japfu treks.
It was nice visiting there.. Awesome location and host
Good
I have stayed for a week. Such a wonderful hospitality. Food they served is awesome. Homely atmosphere and caring host. They will guide if you need any help for traveling around Naga. They communicate well in English and Hindi. Location of the stay is fantastic. Everything is clean and neat. We will get a feel of living in a home.If anyone planning to visit Dozuko Valley and kisama village (where hornbill Happening), this is the perfect location and also nearby villages are easily accessible.
I was on workcation and exploring Northeast. I stayed in the property for 8 days. The property is awesome and in winters they do have bonfire. Host are super friendly and welcoming. Baby and her mother were very nice to me. I got delicious breakfast and dinner. Its strange that there are hardly any restaurant which serve Naga food(even in capital city Kohima). So if you are a foodie and are looking to explore Naga cuisine then you must stay here. Apart from access to touristic location, one can also easily access nearby small villages and do small trek.
I stayed here for three days and to be very honest that was just amazing.Host is amazing and they treat you like family.Property is so clean and well maintained. Also the food they serve is so yummy and will not let you miss your home. They can also help you with local siteseeing as well as if you planning for trekking to dzuko .I would highly recommend to all other fellow travellers and will definitely come back here to stay in future.Cheers
Homely stay, with delicious food. Lovely host.
Stayed here for a week. Felt like home, food is good and stay is definitely worth the price.
I was backing across Nagaland and this was the perfect place to meet other travellers. Also the hosts were amazing, they helped us explore the place and fed us home cooked food everyday. It didnt feel like we were being hosted, it just felt like family!
A decent place to stay and have food there.. Baby is so sweet..👍
Delightful place and a super host
I had an excellent stay here. Hosts are extremely caring and do everything possible to ensure that you are comfortable. My daughters had a gr8 time with their pets. Location is really good for access to Kisama Heritage village for Hornbill festival. Thank you and keep up the good work.
A very convenient location with a great view, reachable easily for Hornbill Festival or trek point to Dzouku Valley. Very kind and warm hosts who make you feel at home. The place is very clean and all the amenities are arranged by the hosts. Highly recommended if looking to stay in Kisama village.
Kigwema. Ana kewe thowu!Kigwema the oldest village. A place with a homely feel situated in A place with so many stories waiting to be heard.
Nice place.. quiant and peaceful
We loved the stay at Native Stories!! The hosts were warm and we especially loved the welcome from the two cute dogs Luffy and Gigi. Also the food provided at the stay was amazing. Highly recommended as a base spot for someone planning for Dzouku Valley.
Great people. Loved my stay here. At Walkable distance from hornbill festival kisama village. Food is great and highly recommended. Baby is a fantastic host.
年末にここに宿泊させていただきました。家族ぐるみでお世話してもらえました。こちらの準備不足ですがお部屋がちょっと寒いです。
Great hosts, simple and lovely food. Ensured we are comfortable.
Worth a visit
The rooms are cozy and clean. The host family is very nice and they served us really delicious food.
This is a place where I find more homely after a tired trip from DZUKO valley. The place feels very calm and spacious too. It is very convenient and easy to access the Kohima town. Guys, I am sure you will not regret staying in Native Stories homestay.
A friend of my friend I was travelling with suggested this place. We checked out the place and immediately fell in love with it - the view especially from the balcony of the house. Rooms are affordable here and the food is amazing! It’s a few kilometres away from Kohima (the main town where all the hustle and bustle actually happensso it was perfect. The owners were very warm and hospitable too. I look forward to coming back there soon :)
We had a awesome stay, awesome food, awesome host highly recommended this place.
Felt like home!
Great
It was a very nice staying with them.. I would specially mention the hospitality of the owners ( Bibi and her Mom)...Lovely food was being served, though there was not much varieties but it was delicious and very hygienic.. There is a scope of improvement on such basic amenities like a basin in washroom, a mirror in bedroom etc.
Had a wonderful home stay experience. Awesome food was served. Great hospitality. They had take care of us so well and shown concern to make or stay so comfortable. The morning breakfast and the dinner served was so good. Very close to the main road with a good view of hills around and sunrise view.Overall a great place to stay.
Amazing host, staff, clean and tidy room and homely food.
