Annexe 23eme, (Ceinture verte), Cité Yacoub El Mansour,, Rabat, Morocco, Dakhla
Zoological park with 130 species in simulated mountain, desert, savanna & rainforest habitats.
Very nice place, love it.
Worth to see! Wheelchair accessible
The way this new Zoo is arranged is quite clear. You get a map and ticket for a somewhat fair price. The old zoo was bigger, nicer cheaper and there were animals that we dont anymore in this new zoo. And the ones that are still there seem to be very miserable and some of them are stressed out and depressed. Moreover, in this new "sophisticated" and "modern" zoo, animals are not visible. It seems that the view point places were all made in order for visitors not to see anything; Especially kids who need to jump over fences and stand on very unlikely things to see the tail of a crocodile or the ear of a lion.Another thing is the number of animals and the variety both went down drastically. Finally, once you get there, no one explains that you have to buy an extra ticket for more money in order to be able to see the reprilian terrarium that is inside the zoo. Its like buying a ticket to another zoo inside. Which is completely moronic and upsetting.
Best Thursday afternoon ever spent! Went there around 3:30 PM and stayed for 3h. There were not that many people so the vibe was on point. You were able to observe the animals and take pictures with no disruption and noise.
I love the zoo. Its a great walk, well maintained and many animals in their natural "safari" habitat... The kids love it as well.If you have kids, make sure you buy the additional tickets for the vivarium (reptiles etcand the giraffe feeding... it makes the experience so much better.
Very beautiful and peaceful place i like every part of this zoo especially the music and its so clean good place to take your kids or to go on a date or family trip❤️ I recommend!!!
Good potential but very poor maintenance. Its clean but less animals are displayed and the plants in the gardens are dying and not watered. it was better maintained in the past few years, hope it will regain its beauty very soon.
Its really beautiful views and animals.I dont advice chosing the Discovery pack doesnt add much to your adventure.Price is 50dhThe discovery pack that let you go to the terrarium is 80dh.
A wonderful place to be.I spent there 5 Hours without considering time
Overall it was a great experience. It is a great activity for kids and of course adults. Animals seems to be well looked for and the zoo is also clean. I would recommend.
Its a great place to walk with your family and see some animals. Most animals were asleep, but I guess that isnt the zoos fault.
NO DOGS ALLOWED, they dont tell you online nor is it written anywhere. You only find out once you get to the entrance. I have a fully vaccinated, well trained Golden Retriever and they refused.
Was a lovely day. Most of the enclosures were a food size. The only one that was inadequate was the tiger enclosure. This I thought was too small.
One of our favourite places in Rabat! The zoo’s well-maintained and beautiful!
Perfect place to spend All your Day, 50dh the intrance , dont forget to take water and food with you, because food in The cafe inside you May not like and zoo is big So you will get hungry for sure. Beautiful playgraund for children, interesting zoo and terarium. Better to Come in a week Day in The morning if you dont want to meet a lot of People. You can visit zoo for free in The woman Day 8 march better to Come early morning also to Avoid crowd
A very beautiful parc with atmosphere simulating african jungle and the animals home, very organised and friendly staff who always help with a smile and a magestic restaurant where you feel like your’re in a safari.
Sush a great place the animals are in good health and they have a lot of space to walk. And the parrot zone is awesome and great. As a parrot lover the conditions there are way to good.At the end its an awesome place comparing to the low price we were 3 persons 2 adultes and a kid and it costs 120dh in today currency 11.6$ 🤍
That was my best experience with my family all my little cousins enjoyed it seeing all the animals there i couldnt see the vivarium place hope for the next time i highly recommend it and it will be amazing if u spend all the day there.
The zoo is awesome, the animals, the design and all. It is a good place to spend time with family or loved ones. The only take I got is the restaurants, the menu is so limited and the quality ratio price is not good. I remember we sat down and asked for something and we were told that was finished. Then we had to finish our tour and go have lunch outside.
I have visited many wildlife sanctuaries and zoos around the world. From my point of view, this one worth a visit, as it contains a large animal diversity as well as a group of different plants based on different climate and environment. I recommend you to visit this park, especially that nothing much to do in Rabat.
Amazing experience you can see that all the animals are well treated and has many space to enjoy their lifes, its something really good to see
Take the wrong turn and I didnt go into the zoo. Then I have to pay. Even when I quickly turn. Its all about money whith them. The are annimals
A very vibrant and fun place to explore! Everything is well organised, staff are friendly and helpful, and the overall experience is a pleasant one indeed. One small issue though is that the ticket fees are kind of overpriced, so be prepared if you are willing to pay for multiple people.
Excellent zoo with affordable price, really scenic, neat and clean, healthy animals and pretty plants with variety and birds, lots of shaded areas to rest and enjoy the view....cafes and restroom nice and clean...we had an awesome experience and excellent time there.
A nice adventure to Jardin Zoologique de Rabat. So many animals and a beautiful place to spend a relaxing afternoon. The bus service is very convenient, brings you directly to the zoo and its just 5 Dirhams 😎
The zoo has many animals & birds with big area. I dont have 5 stars for restaurant services it too late .
Very nice. 3rd time here, clean and organized. Too many food venues inside
It was my second visit to Rabat National Zoo, always clean and well maintained,You can find a large variety of animals,50 MAD entrance fees dir adults30 MAD For Kids +1230 MAD for the VivariumVery pleasant visit.
I have visited lots of zoos. I was really not sure I even wanted to enter a zoo in Morocco, expecting bad conditions and neglected animals. What a NICE surprise. Very clean, well maintained, and pleasant zoo. ONLY point of attention: renew the information displays.I particularly liked the vivarium, with reptiles and so on. It was clean, proper, with a nice display and choice of animals.Personally, I would have stuck to only domestic animals. With perhaps some with high educational value. But ok, someone got the chance to get some focus on Madagascar. I Can live with that.Again, very pleasant surprise.P.s. the butterfly, I think a little fox, was local wildlife. Always the best, even in a zoo.
BEST IN THIS PART OF THE WORLD (A MUST❗)This park has something that most zoos in the capitals lack.., space. Everything is clean and new. Huge number of associates taking care of the animals and the grounds. It is an enormous compound with all major species living in more than generous enclosures. You can see that the animals are well fed and taken care of.
Without a shadow of a doubt this has to be one if the best zoos I have ever visited, it was great to witness such well looked after animals and great spaces for them, the landscapes are just breathtaking and the planting just adds to this.Reasonably priced and my second visit. Great work Morocco 🇲🇦👍🏼🐅🐆🦓🦬🐂🐪🦒🐘🦏🦛🦍
It has been a delightful experience to visit this zoo in Rabat. Id say that the animals here are well taken care of. Their staff are nice and helpful.
Animals seem to have good conditions. We went there on a weekday in October and had the entire park for ourselves. Huge playground on one side is also a big plus. Good value for money. Only negative is that tickets to feeding of giraffes and entrance to reptile area cannot be bought at the attractions.
A must see if you visit Rabat, very refreshing air and beautiful place, notwithstanding animals are not in large numbers for some species, and some are difficult to observe, you will enjoy the visit especially for the kids, theres some restaurants but better bring ur own.
Visited the zoo was pleased with the variety of animal species found. Being Canadian I felt there could have been some animals from the American continent but it was a very nice visit. 50mad per adult + 30mad per adult if you want to visit the Vivarium.
I visited zoological parks on four continents. And I consider this one the best. Very natural barriers between the guests and the animals, you can see the animals having lots of space and being treated nicely. Its spacious, well organized and affordable. Really worth visiting when in Rabat.
Worth to visit with kids only or if you never visit a zoo before. Some animals are living in a quite small properties, which is sad. There is no much place to sit and take a break as well as no place to sit in the shadow.
Rabat Zoo is a national park and the largest zoo in Morocco, built according to modern architecture and international standards, and extending over an area of 50 hectares, and is located in the capital, Rabat. The volume of investment to construct this park reached 430 million Moroccan dirhams. The capacity ranges between 900 thousand and one million visitors annually.During the year 2017, the total number of animals in the zoo reached about 2000 animals, representing nearly 190 species. It is famous for its lions, which may have been descended from the barbarian lion
I spent 3 hours exploring the place. Well maintained zoo. I was a great experience for me. The normal ticket price for adult is MAD50 and if you want to enter the muzium and vivarium you have to pay another MAD30.
Jardin Zoological park in Rabat would be a great trip that remains in your memory. The ticket costs 50dhrm for an adult, certainly visit worth the money. You will be guided with a zoo map which you get at the ticket counter. Its a well-maintained environment with greenery everywhere. There are a various number of animals to see from tropical, Desert, African etc. Birds like peacocks, peahens, ducks, swans are set free from cages, they used to roam before you which makes you feel more excited. The animals are provided with plenty of water, food and a healthy environment to live and the crew maintaining it very well. A vivarium is a separate unit set near the exit of the zoo, costs separately around 30dhrms which shouldnt miss watching. You can take the ticket for the vivarium inside the zoo. The vivarium is like a collection of different species of reptiles, fishes, tortoise, crocodiles. It would give you a different experience and excitement for the interior of the vivarium hall. Covering all the ways in the zoo map takes around 3-4hrs. Indeed, youll never find an animal in a starving condition. As I love the animals most I got excited about visiting the Jardin Zoo park.
An excellent place for the whole family. I have seen people taking food from home for picnic in an area provided with outdoor tables that offers a nice view of some animals. We have been there twice and it was worth it each time. Highly recommend.
Great Zoo to see in Morocco, there are different types of animals and the place looks clean and well maintained and organized. I hope it will remain the same for all the time. The ticket for adult is 50 MAD it is around 5 USDFor Young is 30 MAD it is around 3 USDFor the student is 30 MAD and you need to show a valid student card. There is no time limit you can enjoy as much as you like. Also, there are a few restaurants and snacks where you can grab something to eat.
The zoo is huge, well-appointed, with a playground, cafeteria and staff next to every cage ready to answer your questions about the animals .You can buy a ticket that allows you to go next to the giraffes and to feed them.I really excited like a child
This zoo used to be so dirty before it was refitted but it looks amazing now.. plenty of security guards look out for potential danger and keeping everyone sound and safe. There are plenty of animals from all over Africa. There are also some activities for children and benches for picnics and many kiosks on foot path.
Employers are doing all they can to make our visit very good, everything are clean, there is many places to park cars for only 10 DHS for all the day and its secure.
Been here 2 times, both were amazing ! Its clean, organized & the animals are well fed and taken care of. The parking space is big enough to accommodate for busy day! Definitely recommend.
An awesome place to bring your kids or go out with family or friends or even alone. The service is good. Bring a hat and food if you want to eat in the park here, restaurants and snacks are here too.
Great hospitality and professional staff definitely coming back when the temperature goes up.Be aware of schools visit because it would be very crowded other than that enjoy.
The trail is not well designed to follow a baseline visite. The leaflet guide is very average about how to wander around and to follow the pathway.Other than that, its a a nice place to go with friends and/or family
Compared to other zoos, I would say that this is a pretty good one, in order to see everything, one should spend the whole day there from the time it opens till it closes, it has some rare animals for example the last Atlas lions. the pricing is manageable as well -50dh for adults- and 30DH for students, in addition to that, sometimes they offer family packs-120DH for 2 adults and 2 kids-. I personally liked the spaces in there where you can just hang out and rest from walking the whole day. From my experience its an amazing place for first dates ;). One thing I didnt like is the unnecessary expensive price of food.
