Beautiful place... Kids friendly nd you can have cycle on rent..
National villages, houses are inspiring to say the least. Definitely worth a shot. Can be expansive, so be prepared to walk a lot. Roads are shaded with trees so its ok. Definitely bring your kids, they love it.
Best place to relax and I would like to advise you if you will go then please take some food from home to eat there.
Aquascaping and aquarium tank
Not crowded. It is a nice place to relax. We can use bicycles for 500ks per hour. There are only one parrot and some rabbits.
Good places to learn about Myanmar races
A recreation place and date spot for local people. Driving own car has been prohibited.
It was a very interesting place to visit!
Great place to get an insight into the range of ethnicities that comprise Myanmar and how they traditionally live in the rural areas. Would benefit from a little more interpretation of the exhibits, but still very interesting and informative.
Nice place for outing, and know more about Myanmar, all about states, Villages, myanmar cultures etc.
Nothing special but very popular for the locals. It can be interesting watching them. Downside: Foreigners pay an entrance fee which is 5 times higher than for the locals. It is still cheap but the ratio is very unfair
very good public place to relax every level of people.
Green grass, huge shadow of big tree and traditional house from all over Myanmar, note only all native 😁.Food price is a lit big more than outside of the park but dont be sad it is just 100 to 1000 kyats, Myanmar money 😂A lot of restaurants thereA good place to rest at the park or at restaurants. You can also hire bike and horse wagon and buggy 😉
It is a nice model of the different villages in the different states around Myanmar 🇲🇲. The models include a traditional village house and any iconic landmarks in that region of the country. Just keep in mind that there is a usage fee for even the bathroom too.
That place occupied small houses about each ethnic groups of people and u can try their traditional customs in every each house.Let me adivsed you, when U go there dont take a car for visit .You can borrow the bicycle in entrance .
Nice for a trip out of Yangon city centre into the green. Small villages with traditional ethnic or tribal houses showcase rural life of Myanmars various ethnic groups. The biodiversity is magnificent. View from the observation deck is nice. The park could use a general clean-up though.
Ethnographic museum in Yangon, not well known among tourist so the visitors are mostly Bamar people. Each of the main 8 races of Myanmar got a house with a exhibit of typical dresses and everyday things. Mangrove forest, small lake full of fish, amazing views of the Bago river. I liked it.
Its a good cultural spot if youve got one day to spare. Its a very big space, with all the different Burmese cultural tribes on display. From their houses, to their cultural practices, and the festivities that each one of them have, its all on display here in a consolidated spot. One thing though, is that the place is extremely large, and the different spots are pretty sparsely spread out.Either try to get a buggy, or a bike, or just take it as a very slow day of walk. Personally I was bored out of my wits after the 3rd or 4th house /tribe visited, but Im not a cultural person to begin with, so dont quote me on what I experienced.
I had been there on Sunday. Hundreds of local visitors were enjoying in groups, families, or couples aroung ethnic cultural houses and mini monuments representing renowned icons from tribal Regions and States of Myanmar. Lover couples were also finding paradise among Mangroove trees where a wooden walking lane is built. It was absolutely unboring and warming experience!
Good place to go even just to take some rest. Its interesting to see different kinds of houses...
Even though I was visiting this National Races Village during monsoon season and it rained the whole time I was here, I still enjoyed this visit very much. The foliage and especially flowers were so well kept and beautiful. At each different ethnic display is saw, and in some cases met people dressed in ethnic garb and in some cases working traditional jobs like at a weaving loom.
Good to chill there, quiet and peaceful. mostly youll see Burmese couple .. Entrance fees is 500mmk for local and 3000mmk for foreigner. You can ride a bicycle inside as well (Charge by hourly).
You can learn Myanmar national races in this place
It is better to come with kids here, since this is mainly as attraction for them :but still, if you want to get brief impression what would it be to travel through Myanmar, it is a good place for observation of the vast multitude of tribes, traditions, and to get ideas for planning your adventure trip...
Its good for foreigners because they can see most national races of Myanmar in one place
A good quiet place with shady field. Suitable for picnic witj children. You can learn the lie style of Myanmar Ethnics.
Like a small Myanmar, learning about the culture of several regions in Myanmar
* National races village *It is a worthy place to visit in Yangon. You can learn about the whole Myanmar Country in one place. There are 8 main ethnic village houses of Myanmar— Bamar, Chin, Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine and Shan —and the famous places and buildings of them. For example, Nan Myint Tower, Kyeikhteeyoe pagoda, Mt. Zwegabin, Reed Lake, etc... And there is also Union Hall and entertain with national dancing and music on holidays. It is a good place to learn Myanmar and Myanmar people, to have pacnic, to relax under the shady trees and to take photo. There you can rent a bicycle for 500 kyats to go aroung. It has a lot car parking. It open from 7 am to 5:30 pm daily. It is situated near the ThanLyin Bridge in Tharketa township.
Amazing place if you want to learn more about Myanmar. You have to purchase ticket at the entrance. The place closes at 6pm so make sure that you get there before that. You can rent a bike to ride around the park.
Nice place for a day trip to see all national tribes culture, green, not too crowded, expats entry fee 3000 MMK, inside either you can walk around or take a electric bike (share option per person 500 MMK/h or full car 10,000 MMK/h), no nearby restaurant but snacks are available.
I like visiting national races village because I can visit the whole park with bicycle. And I can also observe different races culture.Especially,I like taking beautiful photos.
Really nice place to stay the whole day with family and friends. Many big trees, beautiful flowers, plants and cool bridges. Beside entry fee is cheap. Traditional snacks are good.
Fun place to visit, even though they charge foreigners 3000ks, and locals only 500. Bring lunch, because you will get tired walking around, and onsite food is meh...
Entrance fee is 500 kyats. The bicycle is rented that one hour is 500 kyats. Myanmar traditional snacks is good and fair.
Best place for relax by bicycling or walking in cool season.Being here, you will have the chance to visit the traditional villages of all regions and states in Myanmar. Each place with the specific local design make you feel Whole Myanmar is here, to understand about the country and people. It will take at least one day to go around all, but it will also be the interesting experience for even locals or foreigners for the first time coming here.Should try once.
Able to learn about ethnicity. Good space. But in each and every house, dust are not thoroughly removed. Good Point is you can rent bicycle if you dont want to walk a lot. You can rent ethnic costumes to take photos.
if you visit Yangon, you must visit here to know about Myanmar well.
National race villages. You can see our Myanmar 7 states livings style. And salon race teatre. All of the places are beautiful. I give 5 stars.
Quiet place for couple and family at holiday... not much to sight-see but recommend to rent a bike and look around
National Races Village is one of the attractive places to visit in Yangon for both the local people and foreigners. In National Races Village, vistors can see traditonal homes and replicas of many famous cultural sites representing Kachin, Kayah, kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan and Bamar. The Village is situated near Thanlyin Bridge, beside the Bago River in Thaketa Township in Yangon; you can get there by taking any bus which is running to Thanlyin Township
Traditions and cultures display. There are house samples with other special points for different tribes of Myanmar. You can even dress in their traditional attire for pictures for a small fee. We rented bicycles to go around the park. We had a great time.
Interesting place. IT could use a spruce up. Can use also some Better way to get around. Bikes are useful. Its a fun place. I liked it. There actually was Armed men there for some reason. Not toy guns that is for sure. Only took a photo of the plants.
Generally enjoyable place for family and friends to take a day trip. Limited parking space and scorching sun is not favoring the visitors. Bike rental for 500 mmk per hour is usually occupied with visitors on weekends and public holidays
Great place to visit for a picnic. Can enjoy traditions of different races of Myanmar. Can rent bicycles with fair price. It is a very wide place full of trees.
Racist but wonderful and surprising. Go there if you want to meet average people of Birma.
You can see 14 Myanmar National Races cultures in there. Its open for everyone and fee is not too expensive. You can ride a bicycle in the park and enjoy the nature. Its a popular place for teenage couple.
By the river, east of downtown lies this amazing place. Mostly locals visiting the "park of Races" which is an odd name to share the diversity and regionality of amazing Myanmar. People were very friendly and the place is interesting, well planned and definitely worth a look.
Sample houses and landmarks of famous ethnic groups in Myanmar are present. Each has traditional house, costumes, utilities, landmark, small museum and gift shop. Central tower at the entrance has a beautiful bird eye view which is breathtaking. There is a musem at the base of tower. Visitors can go around on foot or by bicycles (walking is recommended 😁).The park open daily from 7 AM to 7:30 PM.
