A very memorable place for all indians like national war memorial at kartavya path.

I felt so proud of the Police and its branches after visiting this memorial and museum. Must visit if you are nearby and you have 1/2 hour. It is near teen Murti chowk. It is also nicely built. It had a brief description about all police and armed forces, which came under it. One the granite , the names of all martyr police personnel have been written.

Perfectly designed.You get a glimpse of all the state Police .The Kolkata police here is iconic .

Very well kept place dedicated to police personnel who lost their lives in service. There is also a souvenir shop.

The National Police Memorial (NPMsite is located at the crest of Shantipath in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi and the NPM campus has a tiered landscape having capacity to accommodate over 750 persons. It provides a panoramic view of the actual podium and ceremonial parade ground in front from various angles at the site. The newly constructed Wall of Valour at NPM on which names of the martyrs are inscribed, stands as a silent acknowledgement of the bravery and sacrifice of Police personnel, who have laid down their lives in the line of duty since Independence.

The national police memorial, New Delhi is one of the best museums in India where you can learn a lot about the history of India’s Police Forces and also the Central Armed Police Forces.To begin with the staff deployed there is very welcoming and you dont need to purchase any tickets to visit the memorial.Inside the museum there is a beautiful memorial in the centre and there are names of the brave police officers and policemen inscribed on the walls who have laid down their lives to maintain law and order.You can pay your respects to the brave policemen there.The museum is beautifully designed and i would recommend that every Indian should visit this beautiful museum at least once and pay their respects to the brave policemen and also learn about the history of India’s Police Forces.

This place is dedicated to our Indian police and their achievement. This is really best place to visit in Delhi.

Happened into this "park" but it was so much more. Dedicated to the police martyrs of all of India, it is a beautiful and fitting tribute. The museum helped my family understand the different branches of all those that protect try his land. The staff was helpful in guiding us. Observing the flag lowering on the weekends is a must.

Contributions that the Police force make often go unnoticed. A must visit place.

I must say this is the most beautiful place. Every Indian should visit here. You can see most oldest arms here.This is my personal recommendation to visit here.Timings are 10am to 5pm.

Not only one must visit the memorial to pay tribute to the martyred but one must also visit to have a greater insight on the police forces in India.Did you know that the first Kotwali (Police Stationwas created by Shah Jahan in 1648 and the first FIR was lodged in 1861. Isnt it interesting. We all know that police forces are trained to tackle terrorism, insurgency, extremism, communal riots, coastal security, cyber security, surveillance, infiltration, threat assessment and many more. Why would we not like to know in depth about such activities taken by the police force.The central sculpture i.e. slab of granite weighing 238 tonnes has been excavated in Telangana and has been brought all the way to Delhi in a trailer. It pays tribute to those policemen who made the ultimate sacrifice in the call of duty to keep the nation together. Every year on the Commemoration day on October 21, Union Home Minister and the top hierarchy of the police forces pay tribute to those who made ultimate sacrifice in call of duty. The Memorial has Walls of Honour having names of about 40,000 policemen who laid their lives.The Memorial has come up well. There is also a plan for Museum which is yet to come up.

Very good place to visit. There are many names of the martyrs who lose their life in protecting our country. We should go their and memorize their tribute. When we go their our patriotism rises. Very neat and clean place. People also spend their evening here. There is also very big museum under ground where you can see about your police. Very nice place please visit.

this memorial place is dedicated to Police, CRPF, CISF, CRPF, SSB, ITBP etc. There is a museum also in this place which is underground and no entry fees. Everyone can get the knowledge about different forces of India, the ranks of officers of Forces and arms used by the Forces.

Very nice place with an memorial and small museum . No entry fee , open from 9 to 5 am and Monday closed . It has walls with name written of all the martyrs of Non military forces of India since independence . Flag retreat ceremony happens twice a week at sun dawn . Museum is very interactive and explanatory giving an insight into various police branch across Indian and their history , weapons , duties and bravery stories .

A place to know more about our police force - this mandates, different groups, history and working . Visit during Sunday or Saturday to be a part of the ceremony including parade at 17:30 hrs

At long last the memorial is up. I wish the entrance was well marked and the plaza had less paving. The monolith granite obelisk is impressive. The museum in the basement is interesting and hopefully will see a lot more people visiting it to appreciate the hard work various police forces do to keep us safe. Theres is indeed a thankless job.

This memorial was built in memory of the martyrs of the military police force. It is very beautiful; the army forces have saved their nation from enemies by playing on their own lives. In memory of them, this monument has been constructed.

Very nice place to go. As a student i loved it . If you want to go then go in evening.you easily spend here 2 hours. There is also a museum nice museum. In that museum we can se history of all kind of police like BSF,ITBP,SSB,CISF,CRPF,RPF,IB,NSG etc.

But it was dismantled in 2008 on the order of the Delhi High Court as it violated environmental norms.The National Police Memorial Museum is the first of its kind in India. The museum is underground and consists of five galleries over 1600 square meters. There are sections dedicated for various central and state police forces in India including Central Industrial Security Force, Special Protection Group, National Security Guard, Rapid Protection Force, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, Central Reserve Police Force and Intelligence Bureau.Police forces from all 29 states and 7 Union territories are presented, including special mention for women squads, police bands and animal squads (camel, dog and pigeon post). The role of police research organisations have also been mentioned such as the Bureau of Police Research and Development, the National Institute of Criminology and Forensic Science and the National Technical Research Organisation.The martyrdom and stories section includes Operation Vajra Shakti (2002), Operation Puttur (2013), the killing of Veerappan (2004), and the death of Vandana Malik (1989- the first female Indian Police Service officer killed in the line of duty, and various other stories.

The service given by these men and women in uniform can never be judged.This Memorial is built in two phases;Phase 1. In the open ground, where the Park, Tower, Wall of Memorial is built.Phase 2.
