National Park - Park and Garden in Slobozia, Romania
National Park in Slobozia
Description
Privilege
Could be improved, as all parks in Romania, but by comparison its well kept, clean and pleasant for all types of people.
Morerelaxing park for a promenade with playgrounds for kids and outdoor fitness equipment
MoreIt used to be a very nice place.. but for a few years now it seems abandoned...and im not talking about the abandoned ice skating rink site :(
MoreRelax
It has a good playground for kids and is animal friendly. Needs some updates but overall a good place to relax.
MoreGood place for a walk or to bring kids. But it needs a refresh, as it has a lot of potential.
MoreA well cared park in the city centre that should be visited to enjoy its lakes and multitude of different trees. There are plenty of room to set a picnic meal, to rest, to read, etc.
MoreOK for sports, not so much for a park.
Ive been here alot of times, I love it!
If there are no "events" or "special days" this is a lovely, peacefull park with lots of alleys, benches to walk and relax and places for children to play.
MoreNice park with scenic lake. Pathways and bridges make for a pleasant walk. Go in the springtime and see baby ducks and maybe even swans.
MoreI dont understand why they keep the lake so dirty.. The park is very nice and quiet
MoreTwisted unfinished alleys and the feeling of desolation and abandonment. Unless you are into such decor, use the opportunity and go around the nationalStadium
MoreBeautiful huge park in the heart of Romania capital Bucharest. One of must see in Bucharest.
MoreNice park, good for a walk during the morning, mid day or evening. Its like a forest. There are also play grounds, food kiosks. Lake is a little dirty sometimes, they should clean it from time to time.
MoreBeautiful views, peaceful park, it feels magical. Loved it.
Sometimes events are organized but not marketed enough. We went into this AsiaFest by chance, walking in a Saturday.
MoreIts a good park to relax and forget that you are in the city.
Interesting park, lot of outdoor activities, a lot of potential, usually pretty empty , but lake water desperately needs some cleaning. Also, sadly, not enough accessabilities for baby stroler ( only from one side of the parkand ramp done for people for dissbilities is too steep. As we are living in 21 century, inclusivity is a must!
MoreWonderful park, very nice place
It has a large play park with sand pit. It has separate section for little ones. Nice place to walk with the trees for shade in the heat 🌞
MoreWant the forest experience without the dangers. This gives you that vibe. Also slightly of Herculane, but still great place for people who need to go out and touch the grass
MoreOne of the largest public toilets in the city
You can walk your dog, there are a lot of benches where you can sit and read or just admire the greenery, the park is clean and environmental friendly. I am especially content with the fact that I can walk my dog in a dog-friendly and clean park.
MoreIts a nice view once youre up at the top of the stairs, and its lovely now that all the trees are green, but it really could be a bit better looked after
MoreThe alleys and the vegetation require much more care, as well as the lake. Otherwise it is a relaxing area within the city, less crowded during weekend than other parks in Bucharest. In the Eastern side someone could enjoy almost absolute silence except natures sounds, especially during morning hours. Enjoy!
MoreIt was better in my childhood but still a nice place.to walk, jog, mountain bike watch birds in the lake. There is a tennis court, never seen it open though. Fine in winter to avoid crowds. No more boats with oars and puppet theater. A plus - now its fish in the lake - ducks, gulls and swans are visible - crows ar following you invade their park. To avoid - some wooden cabins selling cheese puffs and candy canes that look 3 years old. The park traded names - Used to be August 23 (everyone shortened it to Park 23 now it is National - None very inspiring - could have been called Coravu like the street it is bordering it. Or the Olympic park
MoreA quiet and beautiful place to walk or bike. The park has moutainbike trails, a beautiful lake and beautiful visitors. If you want to relax this is the place to go
MoreUnfortunately, the National Park.is the same as the nation, the lake is so dirty i dont know why people are fishing there, how someone could eat a fish caught in that water. Is a peace of green heart not touched by humans (authorities for many years. So poor.
MoreThe National Park (formerly known as the "23rd of August Park"is located right next to the National Arena, where sport events or concerts are usually held. It has a couple of interesting restaurants, a small lake, and many different levels - be ready to walk up and down. This park is in a residential district, so you will be finding many locals, mainly parents with young children. The park does have public toilets and water taps.
MoreWhile in pandemic, not much of action there. I love parks that have a hint of wild forest to it and this is one of those parks. Has a tenis space and lots of playgrouds, some snack and icecream booths and also coffee and fresh orange juice vending machines. Parking is free but not easily available in weekend.
MoreIve been going on here since I was in diapers, no joke! It changed a lot during the years, 23 to be more exact. Its certainly much more cleaner and there a lots of festival events during the year. That being said, it still has ways to go and I hope they solved the hooligans and drug addicts problems!
MoreA nice place to take a walk on the way to Park Lake...
Nice, better in other places.
Not big, but quite clean and the small lake is really beautiful . It also has a football terrain and its really good for short walks, biking or skating.
MoreIs a big park, nice playground for kids, pretty clean. I saw people owning lot of Yorkshire Terriers soooo many 😍 ....such a pity the lack is very dirty and the small little fountain is a ruin.
MoreNot really big but has its nice touch. Walking down the alleys in the evening really makes you feel away from the city. It has a small lake, a little restaurant and a football field for rent. Seems a good deal to me to come and spend some time here.
MoreThe national stadium is open daily for public use (walking, running, relaxing, or family timeout
MoreThe water from the lake is very dirty and I am really sorry for the ducks and turtles that are living there. Also where is that good BettyIce ice cream?! Some time ago, this park looked very good and I enjoyed going there with my friends, but now everything changed and its not what it used to be. Its dirty, the lake smells and theres only one place from where you can get chips, ice cream (but not BettyIceand other stuff like that. One thing that I like about this park, though, is the orange juice machine which gives you a fresh and tasty orange juice.
MoreThe park is pretty tidy and has a nice playground for the kids, and a space with park gym equipment on which you can do some basic exercises. Festivals are held here pretty often, and you can find grill, sweets, lavander-based stuff, clothes stalls during them. Theres also a small lake thats surrounded by quiet alleyways. Its a good place to rest and hide from the noise of the city. Mega Mall and the National Arena are fairly close. If you go to this park during the spring/start of summer, make sure to bring mosquito repellent.
MoreVery secluded and full of nature and plant life. Great for photoshooting and events. Nice place to party and even to relax. A restaurant close by with food and drinks. Almost sure you cand find a hotel to spend the night.
MoreReally beautiful view. Pretty lake. Nice
Small and nice park. Look for electric bumper cars as they have an affordable price, about 1 euro (5 ronfor a 3min ride. The small electric cars (at "nea Ion"next to table tennis are a good deal as well. The rest of paid attractions are too expensive for their quality and experience. If you are into local fares (small exhibition of crafted goods you shoud visit it during national holidays or the weekend with major church holy days. You will find all sorts of hand made slippers, fur coats, hand made jewellery, and of course a lot of grills and barbecues. This days are to be avoided if you are looking just for a nice and quiet walk. There are plenty of parking spaces available on both streets that the park has access to.For a quiet (and pretty expensivecoffe you can have one in the restaurant in the middle of the park or on a terrace on a side of the park. For regular quick bites or drink you have two small shops in the park near electric bumper cars. There are couple ecologic toilets so in case of majoor need you will have an option (the best option is to have a coffee in the restaurant or terrace and use their restroom - small price for civilisation and running water).Take care that all the above does not apply for the 20% of the park near the parachute tower / national arena entrance. Everything described above you have it on the opposite side of the park.Of course in the park you will find public table-tennis tables, fitness equipment, chess tables, two kids playground, and small and large dogs compound to let the dogs free.
MoreI am waiting for the right moment to come back home
Small, crowdy, the administration is once again working on the pavement, after a new layer of asphalt was laid, a layer of sand was leveled over it as a foundation for some stone tiles.Well see how this solution will work next winter when the sand, not draining the water through the asphalt base will freeze... Theres a festival these days with food and traditional produces but it does not evade the Romanian standard: Lots of noise, smoke everywhere, overflowing garbage bins, sellers (now wearing plastic gloves ;)handling money and food at the same time... I dont want to say more because two star would be too much after that. :(
MoreA little bit crowded due to a gastronomic event. Nice little ducks.
Nice park to take a walk. It can be a really quiet place during winter when few people take to this park. During summer and autumn months there is a weekend fair with various food stalls serving local dishes from around Romania. They also bake bread there on the spot using an ancient and original method. Go ahead and check it out if you are in the area!
MoreSmall park with potential. The authorities do not maitain it properly. The sidewalks are cracked and tilted as the ground ahifts towards the lake. The lake water is very dirty in some parts. Vegetation is not cared for. The island cannot be reached because the bridge is badly damaged and even if one reaches the island, it is full of garbage. During weekends, fairs are held here in a very unorganized manner. Loud music plays and benches obstruct the sidewalks. Barbecue smoke covers the alley. The park has a nice summer theatre, but rarely there are events here, as no one is able to organize quality cultural events here. The pros are that the children playgrounds have slings and other play furniture and the tarmac is well kept. There are chess benches that are shielded from wind. Also there are special areas for dogs. Please put some more effort is maintaining this park as it is one of the few green areas is the neighborhood.
MoreThe park is fairly big and boasts a few play structures, boat rentals, pay bumper cars and other amusements. The park also hosts a turf soccer court, a few red clay tennis courts and an outdoor amphitheatre. If you want a refreshment, ice cream or some other taste of childhood they can be acquired at one of the many chioscs.Parking is free on the adjacent streets and fairly accessible.
MoreVery old park with old playgrounds, not so many things to do for kids, not interesting. Other parks in Bucharest are much better.
