Korean contemporary & modern art exhibited in a number of indoor galleries & outdoor courtyards.
Wednesday is Cultural Day. Free Admissions. Nice exhibition
Great exhibits. Took around 2 hours to see everything excluding the special exhibit.
Amazing museum for anyone who likes contemporary art. The premises are very well done and I was lucky with the exhibits too.
One of my favorite museums in Seoul. Always great exhibits.
Free entry in the evenings (open only 2x a weekreservation is recommended
The main reason I visited this museum was to see the exhibition by Choe U-ram. The exhibition was great, and I found out that HYUNDAI motor supports artists a lot. The museum has a spacious and arty atmosphere. The people there were also super nice. I was wrongly going to buy an art book in Korean but the cashier lady noticed that I am not a Korean speaking person then she changed it to an English one! There are two nice cafes, so you can take a rest in between the exhibitions.
Museums are always nice
An amazing gallery. Take the opportunity to explore the various exhibits and grab a coffee at the lovely coffee shop!
Was really impressed! It’s free for students and on Saturday and Wednesday after 6pmVery nice display of modern artGreat to look at
visited at 430pm on Friday. told that Lees special exhibition was sold out. saw choe u-rams with for 2,000krw. worth it
Its nice and pretty cheap. There were only two exhibitions.
National contemporary art Seoul. Nice n clean. Need to book ticket on line at home page required.
It was amazing to see lots of modern artworks.
They have exhibition until September, 11. Its free entrance. On the basement the gallery make so much noise hard to focus. Some modern art gallery was cool. The Korean artist created a unique paint style. On weekend so many people and long line for going to the parking lot.
This is a really interesting museum to visit that offers something of interest to everyone. This applies even if you are not a fan of contemporary art. There are so many exhibits that you could easily spend whole hours here. Plus its free after 6 pm on certain days.
Amazing:)
You can get there for free if youre under 25 or a student. Very interesting exhibitions, worth a visit for sure!
Beautiful building. We paid ₩4000 each to see the two exhibits and it was well worth it. The exhibits were immersive and powerful. The visitors are young and old, Korean and not.
A little disappointed because of lack of paintings on display
Huge and beautiful museum near the palace
great exhibitions! and there is no entrance fee for people under 27 i believe.
Only has digital collections of art, not for anyone who likes anything other than bizarre videos
Mind bogglingly awesome exhibits and a very low entry price make this a visit well worthwhile. Must visit if youre in central Seoul.
Great art musuem and very kid friendly. However, it was difficult to book gallery exhibition as everything was supposed to be online.
Its nice, clean, well organised. The golden dancing guy is the best
It was not quiete my style. Very loud. I imagined drawings but this was "too futuristic " for me. Very Clean and tidy.
it was amazing seoul gallery. i recommend ot to everyone.
I failed to see Leegunhees collection...😭
Expect a verry long wait for an experience that isnt as long as the wait time. May have been worth it if i got the english subs.
Good 👍
beautiful museum in mix of modern and traditional arts near Kyungbok palace
Always, great place to for art. Now its even better with Terarosa
The scale of this contemporary museum is astonishing. Very good exhibition and museum shop. Free on wed night but regular admission is very reasonable.
Nice exhibits just that the special exhibition is sold out when I arrived.
Nice museum, interesting exhibits, good use of space and helpful staff. Admission is a reasonable 4000W
Great exhibitions with various types of art.
Good place for enjoying contemporary arts
This place is the best if you are under 24 as admission is free. But the ticket price is still pretty cheap. They always have very interesting exhibits that are cool to take pictures of.
The place feel the moment
The exhibits are an absolute joke. Projecting snippets from old movies on to a white screen in a dimly lit room is not art no more than microwaving leftover pizza is cooking. Overall, MMCA is a testament to the pitiful state of modern art - or any type of art, for that matter - in this country.
Beautiful museum, u need to make online reservation for special exhibition. Otherwise plan to spend 1-2 h max.
Being juxtaposed right next to one of the oldest buildings of the city—which is arguably the country’s most important cultural symbol—this public art museum seems to continue being today’s focal point for Korea’s art and culture.
Always a great experience, with profeasional staff and well-kept facilities. Exceptional exhibits, and oftentimes free of charge, or reasonably priced.
To be honest the main exhibit I wanted to visit (and in my opinion worth to seeis the Lee Kun Hee collection - it was all reserved online weeks ago and there are no available tickets on the day. Bit disappointing, it also looks like its only a limited run. I wish the exhibit was at a larger museum (Like the national museum near Ichon Stationthat could have more people visit and appreciate it. Hopefully the Monets from Lee Kun Hees vast collection goes to that museum instead. The other exhibits in this museum are small and not really impressive. The staff are kind and helpful.
Unique exhibitions with artistic vibes. Clean and safe. Highly recommend to visit
Super nice museum, well organized with all covid-restrictions. You should reserve with time. Esy to arrive and a lot of places to visit near
Beautiful muséum
My visit to MMCA in Seoul exceeded my expectation. I got to see some of the most influential Korean artists works like Chung Sang Hwas. I thought it was well curated and the guide app of MMCA was also perfect as it provided good explanation about the artworks. Worth to note that you can only visit upon online pre-reservation. Each visit is allowed up to 2 hours and the museum ticket is free of charge.
The current exhibitions are unique. I dont have enough information to describe whats currently on display. The Art museum itself is very professional, organized and COVID conscientious. ^^
I love this place! If you are looking for a quite place to read books and jst chill, this is the place. They provide lockers for free so you can leave your heavybag while you are using the facility. Also you can go out explore other parts of the gallery or even the town! But make sure you come back before closing time. Otherwise you wont able to get your bag out....
