South Korea, Seoul, Jung-gu, Sejong-daero, 99, Yeoju
Second branch of the national contemporary art museum, presenting work by Korean & foreign artists.
Nice exhibitions
Moon shin exhibition on when I was there. Unique style of moon shin, and looking at his textured paintings were a refreshingly deviation from his sculptures.Size wise, this mmca is smaller than the other mmca.
Good
Top-quality art exhibitions are held at a very affordable price in this historic building which has been later turned into a national museum.
It real ?an art museum like this in the middle of the city?
If you hire a guide for explanation, it will help your understaing on the history of that place.
Lovely place
very good
Nice gallery peaceful area
Lovely
Wonderful & Breathtaking!
Small but well organized. Itโs monumental museum inside of the palace
Wonderful museum !
It was really good place to watch some masterpieces. I always go to MMCA gyungbok, so i didnt expect this place. Because gyungbok place MMCA is much more bigget than here. But anyway this place also nice and i really love watch the ducksu palace at the sametime ! Please keep in mind that you have to make a reservation to visit this place...Have a nice time with this wonderful place :)Be safe guys !!!!!
I really enjoyed the musuem. There was a lot of things I saw and the museum was well structured to show both the Korean cultures traditional and modern side. Overall, the price was great. The museum is in the Deoksu Palace / ๋์๊ถ grounds which was just 1,000 KRW. Though the musuem was small it was made up with the palace grounds. During the COVID times you have to make an reservation to the museum but if they have space they can squeeze you in to see the museums. If you are in Korea and happen to make a trip to that palace, it is worth seeing the museum! Some pictures (there was an exhibit going on, so it could be different when you goof the museum and the grounds!
The place is good chemistry Korean Joseon style and European style.
Beautiful gardens, excellent exhibitions! It is worth visiting!
Excellent place to enjoy the painting.
Great experience, lots of culture to explore.
really good to watch artworks.
The art love here
One of the coolest museum in Seoul and it is located inside the Deoksugung Palace. 3000wons for adultโs entry. There are 2 floors and 4 divided exhibitions spaces ! It takes 1h30 to look around. They change themes regularly, so it is also nice to check on the website :I had fun with my family โญ๏ธ
Over all a very good experience to get to know about the connection between the modern and the old culture of korea. Entry fee for adults are 3000 won for the museum and another 10000 won for the palace. Its worth spending time there. It was not so crowded because of the winter climate
Gooooooood
Interesting gallery, takes ~1h and only 2000 krw per adult - really worth it!
20th century korean art
Nice place for art lovers!
Very Good
Very well maintained museum. Good for photographers and those interested in Korean history
National Museum of Modern Art and Contemporary Art Seoul. One of the most interesting place in Seoul. It links to MOMA and several other museums of contemporary art throughout the world. All the exhibitions are amazing, some exclusive, unique and all of them unforgettable. The museum is quite close to the main showplace Gyeongbokgung Palaceso its very convenient to visit both places in one day.
A complete art collection of Korea
Great place! High recommednation for foreign visitors.
Nice small museum and are to walk around. Its in the middle of the city and can be convenient to go explore around the area.
I loved everything about this place. I felt like I was in a scene from Mr. Sunshine
Nice not too big and interesting art pieces
Great time spent in the museum. Would recommend a visit if you enjoy art for sure
good art museum. it have good exhibitions quite often. you can visit there when you go duksugung because it is located inside of duksugung. you can have some good time there
The system of palaces will make you notice that Korean history went wrong and bizarre :National Museum of Arts shows you architecture plans, spares and pieces of buildings didnt except at all, strange arts of the past look funny on different countries pictures background, sculptures and more interesting things. But the Museum isnt as enormous as you expect it to be: only two or three floors with half-empty rooms...As a result, it is a good decision where to go, but to be compere National museum of Arts with Pushkinski museum is like to compare the sky and the earth.
Such a lovely place. The smell in the air makes me recall the days in Chelsea college.
Unique and wonderful collections
During the hot and humid summer in Seoul, this lovely air conditioned building was a great place to find refuge. The cost for the palace and museum was only 3,000 KRW which equates roughly to about $3 USD. You cannot get that kind of cultural experience at such an affordable cost in the US. The museum has artwork dating back centuries with detailed descriptions in both English and Korean. The facility is clean, quiet, well organized and well staffed with polite employees who direct you along the exhibits. If you love art, history and culture this museum is a must!
Cant believe this beautiful Museum is in the middle of Seoul!
Perfectly compact but thorough.
Such great history
Small museum but very cheap, and the exhibition was really interesting (about the โnew womenโ i.e. new place of women in Korean society in the early 20th century)
๋์๊ถ๋ฏธ์ ๊ด์์ ์ ์ํ๋ฅผ ๋ณด๊ณ ์์ต๋๋คDeoksugung Palace Museum of Art is located inside Deoksugung Palace. So, to visit Deoksugung Palace Museum of Art, you must purchase a ticket to enter Deoksugung Palace.Deoksugung Palace is a very good place. Seoul is often stuffy, boring and hard times. Deoksugung Palace is a rest spot in this part of Seoul. If you visit Seoul, I recommend you to visit Deoksugung Palace, Gyeongbokgung Palace, and Changgyeong Palace. These palaces will add something special to your memory.
Good exhibit on women
I LOVE this place! I visit this place every times I was in Korea. The showcase are creative and inspired.
Not often but sometimes good exhibitions are held here.
A must see in Seoul, I particularly like the outdoor temporary exhibition on the square
