Modern maritime museum with many relics & models, plus an aquarium tunnel & kids’ activities.
Me and my friends choose to visit this place to see the miniature ships however although the ships are still there the exhibition is closed many months ago. And it was nonsense for us to not to be able to see those.Other than that the exhibition is just consist of a couple of fish aquariums and some old emperor ship replica.I believe the museum committee can develop the exhibition with lots of additional stuff.Other than above see view and roof of the building is good for fresh air and bay view.
Good place, unfortunately a part of it was closed due to renovation work
dont go. its being refurbished. there is nothing to see here. i learnt the hard way
Special exhibition was very good for 5th grader as the content was overlapping the current social study curriculum. It was sad not being able to see the 3rd and 4th halls at the moment, but the small aquarium was still there to see, which was also very good. Looking forward to visiting again for the top 2 floors next year.
Awesome
There are more fun places if you come with children. There were actual submarines and ships, so adults had things to see, but there seemed to be more space for children. Its free and you only have to pay for parking.Unmanned parking is not allowed with an overseas issuance card.I couldnt find a place to pay cash. That part was a little disappointing.
Good place with children~!
Its free wow! Miny aquarium give you unexpected happiness .
Contents are not good enough. Rather disappointed. Please do benchmark other world class museums.
It has a lot of information but the exhibition was in progress so it was smaller than it probably would have been.
Awesome....my dream to visit this place comes true finally
At the National Maritime Museum in Yeongdo, Busan, there is an earthenware called "Back Ja Chul Hwa Oon Ryong Moon Ho." Its 36cm long and horizontal. The method was made by separating the top and bottom and connecting the two. Theres a famous grilled clam restaurant called Sarangbang nearby. If you go to the National Maritime Museum or nearby places, I recommend you to visit.
Good place for kids 👍👍
Just a few people but interesting
Remember to visit the website to make a reservation. Very interesting and a lot to see and learn. 4D theater is closed because of Covid. Free entrance :)
1. Free entrance, not paid.2. Free parking fee.3. Looks like huge but not that much.4. Maybe...1 hour will be enough for look around5. Sea turtles are very cute.6. Sea sharks are very cute.Thats it
Due to the renovation, I couldnt see many things. There is a large car park. You dont have to worry about parking there. It is somewhat big and provided many things to take a look. Nice place to go with kids.
It is very nice museum that you can take your kids to! It is free and parking space is huge. BUT it is government owned place, which means they dont work with creativity. So sad that they are not taking advantages of this wonderful facility! Still, they have nice little aquarium and at the back of this building it has awesome park that you can take some dope picture!
The museum gives an overview of Koreas long naval history and current developments in shipbuilding, fishery and maritime research. Theres a fish tank and an expensive café with a great view and a roof terrace.
My 5 year old son and I loved our day at the museum. Only negative was that one section was still under construction
great museum and activities. nice team and good restaurants
It is nice place, it have some child playing area, also coffee. The family will enjoy there
Have variety of of fishing vessels, fish species, and nice aquarium
Cool meusem and its free! They have some interesting stuff in there and many things for kids to do. They have a great view of the ocean as well if you go on a clear day. It is kinda further away from the city, but if you take the bus its not that long of a ride. Their aquariums are not the cleanist however they are nice to look at. Also it is interesting to see some of the North Korean side as well and they have a big exhibit to the North Korean sea as well. I would definitely recommend going.
Nice building with four floors of exhibits. Aquarium is pretty small but it is free to enter and has a lot of stuff for small children.
Place for family, free of charge, but the content does not have English version sometimes, 4D movie with only korean, no English version.
Very nice place
Great place to visit
Very nise museum
Although the location is a bit out there, this FREE museum is really worth the visit! All the permanent exhibitions are also in English and really nice laid out.The cafetaria is lacking so make sure to bring lunch or snacks yourself.Great visit for both kids and adults
We went to the Marine Museum for a field trip with an Elementary School. It was alright. We didnt spend much time here so I didnt get the full experience. The aquarium was cool.
What a fun museum and aquarium. There are four floors to this building. On the day of the first floor was being renovated and I never made it up to the fourth floor. The second floor has a childrens area that was good enough for them; it had some interactive areas. The other part of the second floor is a photo gallery. The third floor has an exhibition on maritime history and a full scale turtle ship. This is also where the aquarium was. It is worth visiting around feeding time. Overall a good visit
The best place for picnic
Very nice and free museum, we went by mistake as I believe we were on Taejongdae Park and we went out of the Bus, have interactive games (Sailinga tunnel where you can see fish and tirtles up close, inside they have a kids museum too. Very nice for a mistake, recommend it! :-)
Free entry. Theres a small aquarium tunnel and fun activities such as games and movies are available. Suitable place for kids. Restaurant near by has reasonably priced food with an Ocean View.
Huge building and very impressive Architecture. Not much to learn from the exhibit; aquarium is big and nice, great ocean view from external deck. Free access. This is one of the stops for hop on hop off Busan city tour
Free parking only on weekends after6pm.Great place for taking dos to play on the grass.
Not much things to do though theres aquarium inside. Will me interesting to people who jave interest in ship and boat
It occupies a large area, and the museum is mainly about history. If you dont particularly like Korea, you may feel a bit bored.there is a small fish tank with turtles inside on the third floor
Building is huge, but the museum itself is only a part of it. Its still worthy seeing - presents Korean naval history and interesting facts about ships and ports in general. Has small oceanarium part. Takes 1-2h to see it all.
A nice small museum dedicated to Korean naval history.
I guess we were expecting more of an aquarium when it is actually a "maritime museum". Still very empty with almost nothing on the first and fourth floors. Maybe 10 fish tanks tops, a few robot fish (these were cool), and a yachting game. There is an exhibit on maritime history, but it wasnt very interactive or interesting.
Good place to spend time at if you are interested in maritime. Showcases the history and tools used.. :)
Museum was nice and well kept but had very few interactive exhibits. Also any videos they had did not have English subtitles but alot of the signs did. Very good views and relaxing environment.
Nice museum with free entry. Worth a visit.
Fantastic spot to visit and free entrance. Great historys of the Maritime of Korea. Get the free shuttle bus from Busan station that drops you right in front of the National Maritime Museum and with the same bus that will shuttle you back to Busan station once you done.Well worth the visit.
Worth the trip nice exhibition for free even with an ocean water tank inside. Gives you a quick overview about the sea nation Korea.
More to see for kids than adults. Maritime history section of the museum is good but not very big. Location is kind of out of the way from other attractions.
This place is good for family and kids bonding. There is marine museum inside and big aquarium for viewing. And there was no entrance to pay. :)
Definitely go to the third floor for the aquarium tunnel. There are also mechanic fishes swimming like a real one in a pool.
