Napoli's Italian Restaurant - Italian restaurant in Ponca City, United States
Took a friend there and did not live up to what I had told him from previous experiences...Garlic knots were under baked and dough balls.I ordered Chicken Premeveria and every bite of the dish was COLD! My friend ordered the Lasagna and said his was barely warm.Sadly disappointed in this visit...nothing like previous visits a few years ago.
Walked in 45 minutes before closing. We were met with eye rolling and glances back and forth between waitresses. We were seated at a table and a waitress came and said “we don’t have any bread made this late”. We could tell they did not want to serve us, so we politely said we would go somewhere else.
Food was good, service was very slow. What give them the 1 star is the Waitress brought us bread and asked if we wanted sauce I said yes. They brought the sauce in a very small bowl. When I got my bill they had charged me 5 dollars for the oil. When I told them the Waitress never said there was a charge the cashier said sorry maam its on the menu. I explained the situation and she didnt care. I felt this is wrong the Waitress should have said there was a charge.
Food was great , service not so much. They are pricey, and dont tell you added charges.
Authentic Italian food. Incredible!!! Love this place so much!!
Had great Pena with sausage with a salad and ice tea
I eat here about once a month, the salmon classic with shrimp is my favorite. Service is good, with one caveat. A little to much butter on the rolls. I usually go when not to busy, so no waiting on food. Overall the food and service keep me coming back.
We had to come back and get the rest of our food they forgot. 😒 Our bread was burned and the customer service was nonexistent. It was our second try so we probably wont come back.
Online order experience was easy and quick but the food was AWFUL. I paid for a $12 meal (pasta samplerand receieved a one inch slice of manacotti, a single cheese ravioli and a 1/4 inch slice of lasagna. For $12? My son had the kids spaghetti with meatballs, the spaghetti was a giant clump of noodles all stuck together and dry(some crunchy), almost NO sauce with a meatball buried in the middle. My son complained the noodles tasted “stale” and only ate the meatball. My husband also commented that the noodles tasted “off” as if they had been seasoned with something that normally wasn’t used and tasted freezer burnt. Needless to say, I won’t be returning. The only good thing was the garlic rolls but nothing else is worth the money spent.
While visiting Ponca City, my wife and I had dinner at Napolis. The wines are curated and we both enjoyed our wines. I had a mid-level Pinot noir and my wife had a Cabernet. Garlic knots were served instead of bread, which was a nice touch. The eggplant parmesan was good, as was my wifes pasta dish. I ordered the house Italian dressing with my salad, and was surprised that it is a tomato based dressing, almost a light marinara mixed with vinegar. The dressing was delicious and served as a great dip for the garlic knots. We had tiramisu for dessert, which was good, but had too much chocolate sauce. I recommend this restaurant if youre looking for a moderately priced restaurant with good food.
Worst dining experience in awhile. Sticky tables, wilted soggy lettuce(she had the nerve to say the best ceasar salad in town), rude service, and im pretty sure that the only thing made fresh was the pizza and it was just barely okay. And the marinara tastes an awfully lot like Chef Boyardees sauce......im sure he would not approve. Never again....
Great food great service expensive but its worth it
Absolutely good food and friendly staff, will most certainly eat there again
Disappointed. Frozen processed chicken patty used in chicken Parm. Was tough and generally unappetizing. Garlic knots stale and cold salad had way too much lump brown pieces all around I do not think much is authentic or home made.
Very good food! Love going to eat here. Love to call in as well!
Had a great time and a great pizza. Had an interesting experience with the waitress who wasnt wanting to be at work.
Food was very good service was good , and a good atmosphere , over all it was great
Everything was smooth transaction from the waiter staff to the food. Had the Chicken parmesan. Mom had chicken alfredo
Was my daughters 16th Birthday and they were awesome. Great food Great service.
Im surprised this place is still open.Ive never been here before but when I went today it made me wish I never came. I had the shrimp and crab with Alfredo noodles and after I ate a few bites I felt sick. The plate smelled oddly fishy, which isnt normal. Also if youre wanting the salad, you shouldnt. Its literally just a few bits of lettuce and croutons. The complimentarry bread was too buttery and tasted like nothing, were also cold. My uncles pasty was really watery. My aunt didnt like her plate either. Neither did my son, it was literally just a bowl of two ravioli and melted cheese on top. We paid $69 for three plates and a kids meal and we didnt even finish it. We had three different people waiting on us and the first woman seemed lazy and rude like she didnt even want to be there. She was just walking around or standing, doing nothing. Its a VERY loud environment. The male waiter was the only polite person there. Their high Chairs are broken. We were there for an hour and it took them 15 minutes until they took our drink order. People who came in after us got our food before us. My noodles were overcooked. the shrimp still had the tail on them, so I had to put my hand in the sauce to take them off, which was gross. My sauce was goopy. Im not allergic to anything but its an hour after eating there and I still feel sick from my "meal". Not coming back, sorry.
Charges a $2 convenience fee for using the online to order. I tried calling over ten times and got a message that the wireless number that was listed on the website wasnt accepting calls. I was forced to use the online and when I went to pick up my pizza, there were four people standing up front talking. One, I assumed was the manager and she told me the phone number doesnt work so I asked if I could have my $2 convenience fee back and she said it was for using the online and that was it. Greedy and wrong. Very poor customer service trumps the quality of the food.
Great appetizers and I had their grilled chicken salad. Very good, great atmosphere too.
Delicious food and and our waiter Augie Was very knowledgeable and friendly.
The food was excellent, and the Glass of beer was tall, and I needed a tall glass that day! Lol
The side salad needs a lot of work. Would not recommend getting it. Spaghetti sauce looks very watery. Rolls are very warm have a lot butter on them. If the rolls are not fresh they are very tough.
No matter what Oklahoma small town I have been to a Napolis restaurant in (Chickasaw, Tahlequah, or Ponca cityit has always been good. Everything from the fresh starter bread and house dressing to every main dish one the table it is delicious.
Didnt get what I even ordered, but still tried for the best, opened the brushetta bread for my Togo order and the cheese is stuck to the foil... Called to explain and hostess was very rude... paid 30 dollars for bread and this is what ya get.. lol
Fresh made Italian salad dressing was wonderful. The chicken parmesiana was almost too much. Awesome place!
We took my husbands son here for his 10th birthday at his request, had such a great time! They sang happy birthday and the food was outstanding.Shayla was our server and she was great, very attentive and made conversatio with the birthday boy! 5 stars!!
Good food, nice atmosphere. Decent prices. If you cant decide what to order, the Stromboli is always good. Even better when you dip it in their Alfredo.
I called to place an order becAuse I had eaten here once before and they were good. Service was great. I called and got hung up in and when I told the guy who answered the phone he said it’s because we have 3 lines. The girl who hung up on me answered and would not apologize said ok what’s the name on the order. I said never mind and now my family if 5 will be eating somewhere else.
Inconspicuous lil Italian restaurant, wasnt expecting alot going in, but honestly I was blown away by the quality of their food! Chicken piccata was amazing! The sauce was un forgettable. Lemoncello marscapone cake was delicious, really I cant say enough good about this restaurant, well definitely return.
Really not good. Were passing through here and decided to try it. Fun vacation with the runs for 2 days...nearly immediately after eating. I was a restaurant cook for 45 yrs. So much wrong here..all easily avoidable. Food just not good.Top restaurant price for less than mediocre Italian food. Chianti tasted like sweetened fruit juice. One good thing...enormous portions. Unfortunately inedible..
We arrived at 1:10pm was greeted with warm smiles. They promptly took our order, then we waited and waited some more. After the table who came in 20 minutes after us received their appetizers, i had to get up and go over to our waitresses who was laughing and cutting up with the hostess and ask her if our appetizers was done by chance and we would like our drinks refilled, another ten minutes came our appetizers. Then a different waitresses came to let us know my husbands food was giving to the table who had came in 20 minutes after and it would be another 15 minutes or so.... 😡I understand mistakes are made but our waitresses never returned to apologize or anything.. we took our food togo 45.00 and we didnt even get to eat! The bread was cold, the salad was lettuce and i mean lettuce only and the main course well it has yet to be eaten... The new waitresses did apologize and gave us a dessert togo... we will not return. I feel things could have been handled way better, and I dont do bad reviews but here ya go!
Food is great, especially the pastas and pizzas. HOWEVER, it very well might give you the runs. My fiancé and I are two for two when we eat at this place for having the runs for the entire night after. I’d recommend eating this on a night when you don’t have any plans afterwards. Also, the dressing for the Caesar salad is oddly sweet? I’m not sure if it’s house made or it’s pre made, but the sweetness is a little off putting. Other than that, good place to eat.
Tried a new to me dish, Pasta Premava. So good! Also first thing they bring you is knot rolls slathered in butter, garlic and parmesan cheese. Our waitress was good to us also. Wish I had gotten her name. Our friends who dined with us are looking forward to a return visit. Since we are out of towners, Napolis is on our return to list when we come back to OK!
Ive only been a few times, but Ive never been disappointed. Each different entree Ive tried has been well prepared and offered substantial quantities. If you havent been to Napolis yet you really must give it a try.
Ive been to various Napolis locations throughout the state. They always consistently deliver some top notch pasta. It would take an economic or natural disaster to stop me going there. Great for a romantic dinner, or if want to take a nap after lunch because its literally melatonin that tastes good.
While we were there they were out of several menu items. We had the chicken pesto and chicken and shrimp Alfredo. We haven’t stopped going to the bathroom since and it had been 2 days. I’m giving it 3 stars because my daughters pizza was good and the waitress was also good. If you go here do not get any of the pasta dishes. The pizza is the only thing worth while. We spent $60 on two less then stellar pasta dishes and one kids pizza. Too expensive the for the quality of food.
The waitress suggested I try a trio plate of Alfredo, Lasagna and chicken parmesan. Absolutely delicious. The cheese was pouring off of the entrees. FRESH good quality mozzarella. Prepared to perfection. This is AUTHENTIC Italian food.Thank you to our waitress Madison for a nice evening.
Just waited 45 minutes for the food. My daughter fell asleep Our server never came back to offer refills not once. Never got our salads, and yes it was busy but to not be checked ON IN THE 45 MINS WATCHING OUR SERVER WALK PASSED OUR TABLE SEVERAL TIMES. , owners walked by and never once asked if we were ok. Service was horrible. Charged us $80 and my sons food did not come out til we were there for almost an hour. The owners finally realized we hadnt been served, brought our food , didnt offer any apologies or discount , NOTHING. Would not recommend to anyone. I dont even want to rate it 1 star.
This was our first visit to Napolis, it was very good. Many choices on the menu and everything was prepared fresh. Our server Savannah was quick and efficient. She checked with us several times and made our visit enjoyable. We will go back soon!
The food is very good. Its honestly surprising that in Ponca City OK theres a very high quality Italian food restaurant but Im sure glad there is. If youre familiar or not with very good Italian food please treat yourself and someone you care a great deal about youll be pleased.
The waitress couldnt keep our order straight. We had to wait almost 10 minutes after ordering for our drinks and she got those wrong. We asked 3 times for lemon and finally had to ask a different waitress. She was more interested in texting than working. We will not be back
Easily seen from the road and there is plenty of parking spaces. You get right in and immediately they bring you something to drink and give you bread on your table while you wait. They bring salad for you to eat until your food gets there. The food is hot and good. The employees are nice and courteous. The restrooms are clean. There are high chairs for children.
Atmosphere and wait staff were great. I ordered the lasagna. And while it wasnt anything great to rave about, it was good. The only draw back was that it was very greasy. There was a puddle of grease in the bottom of the dish after I was done eating it.
I dont understand why there are a few reviewers complaining about the service. Me and my wife are from out of town and we had a awesome experience. Service was spectacular and the food was amazing! The pasta and shrimp was perfectly cooked and the sauce was amazing! We will definitely return the next time we are in town.
Absolutely the best Italian restaurant in North Central Oklahoma. Only 25 minutes North of Stillwater, Ok. 3400 block on 14th street in Ponca City. OK. You have to try it.
Delicious food and the fountain drinks are perfectly mixed. Possible new staff forgot to add my cake in my to go order, after I got settle down in my hotel I noticed it. Went to bed craving that lol. Other than that excellent food and friendly staff. I will return today to get the rest of my order and another meal.
We are frequent diners of Napolis! We love the cleanliness, the attentive wait staff, and the affordable pricing. We go often for lunch and there is never a hold up on our food. The ladies are great at service. Getting food to go is simple and we never have any order mess ups. We love the garlic bread and the speedy service. We just love the place and eat there as often as we can.
