Nang Loeng Market - Traditional market in Bangkok, Thailand
Variety choice for foods and Thai desserts. Good taste.
Wonderful foods with reasonable price
Old market some shop 100 yr old selling mainly food! Delicious!
Great foods with varieties of sweets and fruits. The market is mainly lively during the day, it is quiet after 3PM. Best timig is during 10am and 3PM on Monday to Saturday!
Great local market, fresh delicious food and desserts. Highly recommended
Although it was late morning and a lot of vendors were still closed, there was more than enough to choose from. Some interesting foods and snacks which I havent seen before. There are 2 big areas for eating which is kept very clean.
Came here as part of a street food tour. There are lots of vendors and quite a bit of space for seating in the middle of the market. We tried a variety of sweet and savoury dishes, including a pork noodle soup, betel leaf snack, various coconut based sweets and lots of interesting tropical fruits. Visit was on a public holiday so it was relatively quiet but I would imagine it gets very busy at lunch time during the week.
an oldest land market in bangkok, manyready to eat Thai food and sweet. with an old town ambient.
Good market with many stalls many local food
Great old market with plenty of common thai dishes. We bought some delicious fresh fruit in addition to lunch.
Autenthic thai market, preserved environment
Good market for remember children time ,delicious food .but be quite.
We had an amazing experience with this tour. Nut & crew knew so much about old Bangkok & the origins of foods like pad thai. The canal boat ride was fantastic - didnt even know we could do that! We visited a fantastic old town market, trying curries, pork, duck, noodles, pandan jelly, fried radish - coconut everything. We got to try the original sriracha! The tour was well paced with small bites along the way so we never got too full. Everything we tried except for the curries at the end and mung bean dessert - were completely new. Everything was delicious, except our American palates were not super fond of the mung bean dessert! Some of the foods were spicy but most werent. You will get your moneys worth + snacks to take home. If anything it went by a little over time so if youre on a schedule say something! We got to meet locals in the neighborhood too!
Love the market, so many authentic food yoi cannot find anywhere.
Classic and oldy fresh market, very popular for lunch.
No words for this LegendaryThai cuisine and real !!!!!!!Taste like mom cooking at home
Good place for breakfast and lunch meal. Very exciting
Covid scanning is poor, luckily that there are not so many customers
Have a lot of delicious food and thai desserts.

Enjoy Everything that you Can Eat. So Delicious. Little Town in the middle of the Heart of BKK. Many Little Restaurants in there. Etc Noodles, Boiled Rice with Fish, Sweet, Fruit. Oh. Heaven for Tester.
Nice food
A very old fashioned fresh meat and vegetable market for locals in the Nang Loeng Community. Small and closes early.
Very local market with a history. This over 100 years old market (open 29 March 1900)was the first on land market as at the time makers were floating markets. At that time many palaces were build in the neighborhood and the market people learned to cook court dishes and sweets to sell to these palaces.
A sweet neighborhood, very chilled in the midst of the city hustle. The market is clean and has a fair amount of street food.
Authentic, high-quality Thai street food in a covered market setting. Popular with local business people. Relatively tourist-free. Worth the trip.We only found it because it was part of an excellent “chef-designed” food tour.
Small market, went to find desserts but not much there when i arrived at 8:30am
The market is rather difficult to find, hidden away and very confusing for non thai speaking tourists. We went midday on a saturday and half of The stalls were closed. There was not great communication and we really struggled to know what food was on option. We later went on a market tour as part of a cooking class and this made much more sense. If you do this market with a tour guide or prior knowledge of thai markets it is probably better but for our experience it is something which added very little value to the trip. We did get some nice desserts and an english speaking thai lady was kind enough to explain the options when she bought her own desserts but without this it feels a bit like shooting in the dark.We got some really nice street food on the street before this but it was easier to identify what we were buying.
Was there on a Monday just after lunch time and the whole market was practically deserted! Didnt look anything like some of the photos. Perhaps we picked the wrong day to go.
This is my nostalgia. You can taste Chinese traditional foods here and shop some fresh ingredients in case you cook.
Lots of good food, but not the best selection during the week. Lots of the stalls are closed, so I imagine youd have a better time during the weekend. I went twice and was happy both times.
This place feels like a market where the locals shop. Had one of the best grilled plantains in my life here along with a delicious crispy pork with rice dish here. If its your first time in Bangkok and your looking for a smaller but cheaper place to eat and are in the neighborhood, do yourself a favor and come here to grab lunch. Its worth the time.
Back-in-time, clean market, ready-to-eat food & desert, especially when U were kids, if U cant find it anywhere, Ull find it here.
So many great dishes yo choose from. Inexpensive, enough with the chairs and tables, quite comfortable even a hot day.
Pretty good food market, not crowded at all. Nice people around.
Really nice market good and cheaper food a lots things around there cheaper too..number one street food in Bangkok..⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Quaint local food court where you get to try various delicacies from the different provinces. Its a little off the beaten track but worth exploring. After our brunch we walked towards Nittaya Thai spices shop and on the way got to see a lot of delish food by other street vendors.
Be prepared to eat to fully enjoy experience here. Too cramped for most photos other than selfies with the food.
Certified by BMA for clean market. You can find Thai traditional khanoms and dishes here, whereas prices are varied. I will definitely take my sisters family from Hong Kong to search for delicious khanoms and have lunch here.
Klay kay
Nang Leong Market is just a 15 walk from The Golden Mount. This is a local market with everything from buns, noodle bowls, curries, and a variety of desserts and drinks. Local prices with noodle bowls at 40 to 50 bhat. We ate until we couldnt eat anymore!
Very nice local market, our first outing in Bangkok and we liked it a lot. Food was varied, lots of options!
Very affordable food market with lot of choices of food available, order to cook also available. Open area arena with plenty of public tables, soft drinks available of your choice for food. Simple place for great value.
Local prices at 40 to 100 baht for a meal. Its walking distance from our current place and locals around the area go there for lunch. Most of them cant speak English but there are some pictures on their menus so... just point. 60baht for a bowl of fish maw vermicelli noodles. 25 to 40baht for juices.
Premium glade pork ingredients.Stewed pork whole legs styled Chinese and German .jelly while you are chewing forgotten to swallow.
Highly recommend if you are a tourist. Especially if you are foodie. This place is a gem as it has many traditional Thai dishes and deserts that you might not find in other part of Bangkok. Most of the vendors here are old timers and they know what they are doing.
Food Market. Not big. Many locals from the neighborhood come here for Lunch. Closes in the afternoon. For Food lovers maybe four to five Stars. Not easy to find.
Not a touristy market, a great place for some lunch. Even during the noon hour it’s not too terribly crowded. Had some northern food, pork buns a ch clean salad and some coffee. On the smaller side but if you’re in old city it’s a lovely stop to get away from the traffic.
Local market with no tourists which is a good thing. Great place for a quick lunch. Outside the main road theres a fruit smoothie shop is super tasty and refreshing, the lady doesnt speak English but she is very nice and friendly.
Must see market. No tourists
