Sir William Newton St, Port Louis, Mauritius, Curepipe
Afro-Portuguese chain restaurant serving flame-grilled chicken in spicy chilli sauce.
Had dinner at GBLCs Nandos yesterday.I think our table numbe was 46.The person who served us was extremely kind and helpful. He definitely loves his job by the way he works. Kudos to him!The food was great and we did not have to wait too long to be served. Thank you for the good experience ❤GBLCs Nandos is my favourite among all other Nandos across the island.
Just bought their nandos "make the circle bigger" I asked for extra sauce, and hot flavor. Not impressed at all chicken is dry, no extra sauce not taste, garlic rolls and wedges are so cold, Never Again!!!
Anyone going for lunch, i ll advice that you order fast. It really takes time to get your food...
The food was delicious.Even though its a bit pricy, the food was to my liking. The 1/4 chicken was a deliceIts a good place to enjoy a lunch with your friends/ family.Had some great conversations...
Experience is awesome. Food is great. Staff is friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is super cosy. The biggest issue I had is finding a parking spot during the day but lots of space at night.Price is a bit expensive but the experience makes it worth it. You wont find alcohol here as the outlet is a Halal one(certified). Will recommend.
Nice staff and awesome atmospjere
Nice food and very friendly staff, unfortunately the food does differ from the UK nandos.. The coleslaw especially tastes like a supermarket coleslaw as oposed to the lush one they do in the UK
Love the food and the newly propose sweet potato chips 😋 .. Waiters were not always available, maybe it was due to peak hour but point to improve I believe.
Cool ambianceGreat serviceDelicious foodDefinitely worth the detour
Absolutely bad service. Had the kitchen nt follow the orders, i would hv waited for nearly 35 mins for my lunch. Train your services personels better. But the cuisine saved the day. Hats off to the kitchen team for tht.
One of the best flame grilled chicken in port louis... Just needs to have chilled beer on the menu to make it perfect.
Very good service enjoyed my Cataplana
Nandos has just done a refurbishment however it always feels dingy and dark. I only go when I am with others who want to eat chicken. Its not a relaxing place to eat, always feels chaotic no matter what time you go.
Update: No longer certified HalaalPrevious: Good place for having Halaal food in the capital (of the refined kind). A bit expensive though and the new menu is a bit lack-lustre. Also very full at peak times.
The food was fine. Nothing amazing. The staff seemed confused most of the time. They gave us the wrong/incomplete orders. The staff were however polite.
It is a well know food outlet across mauritius , but they serve non-halals foods .Customer service : 4/10Foods : 5/ 10Price : moderate
Excellent food... the people there help to choose from menu list as per budget... service of bottom glass soft drink
Love the food.. staffs are very helpful and welcoming. But it just get a little bit noisy when its full.
Good food as expected from Nandos. They turn on the fans during lunch which makes breathing very difficult as the fans fill the place with smoke.
The staff do their best to be friendly and the menu keeps providing new options. Best avoided on Fridays when it is a bit crowded. They also have a loyalty programme which actually provides genuine rewards, unlike many others.
Great restaurant with nice food. Good for groups: family, friends, etc... Great and comfy atmosphere. The waiters are really welcoming, patience, nice.. But a slight problem is the parking....
Great food and service. Chicken was juicy and even though my fries were cold, staff made sure to replace with nice, warm and crispy portion
Excellent food nice people who have been polite and helpful
Called many times at 11am for taking order on phone, they did not pick up. See the photos and judge for urself. I dont wish to be contacted... Deal ur things with ur manager itself.
Food is very nice. But hearing the staff shouting does not give the place a nice environment. As if you are in the market place. Manager/Supervisor to ensure a cozy place to add value.
Good quality of food and best fast food
Good food, and a very kind and responsive staff, it was a perfect place for the perfect family moment
Nice but slow service.
Really enjoyed the Nandos here.Service was good but store needs to work on cleanliness as the empty tables we sat at were dirty.Staff were fairly friendly.
Great place. Love the atmosphere. Not a big fan of the food. At awesome dessert and drinks
Terrible experience, staff were unnatentive and seemed uninterested. The waiter walked off whilst taking our order, and often seemed to forget about us. When the food did arrive it tasted old and flavourless. Such a shame, as the branch in Grand Baie was impeccable in comparison. Very disappointed.
Absolutely disgusting, the chicken wrap was below par. Veggies were not fresh, even the sauce was not fresh. Precooked food just heated in the oven. Shame.
So good. Clean location. As usual excellent food. Been 3 times this week.
Delicious food and very friendly staff
Nandos is always a best choice. This particular felt like a business coffee shop than a family restaurant. We were during lunch time so that could have been the reason the vibe was more business like
tasty chicken.....but very slow service....got our food after 1 hour..and was told that they were out of stock of chicken..UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!
Slow service but good food and affordable price
VERY POOR SERVICE WENT THERE LAST WEEK AND THE SERVICE WAS VERY BAD SLOW AND MESSY. THIS WEEK I CALL THEM TO ORDER FOOD AND THE PHONE KEEPS RINGING BUT THEY DONT PICK UP TO AVOID WORKING OR DELIVERY, IT IS ALWAYS A PROBLEM WITH THEM WHEN IT COMES TO ORDERING FOR DELIVERY ITS EITHER THEY DONT HAVE RIDERS OR THEY DONT PICK UP. SO SAD TO SEE SUCH A GOOD FRANCHISE BEING APPALLED BY THE LACK OF GREAT CUSTOMER CARE.
Great place.Nice atmosphere. And good food.Be it a tête à tête lunch, or a day out with family and friends, definitely a good choice.
Food was excellent. However the service was slow.
For anyone, who wishes to have a good taste of peri peri while on business or during lunch with colleagues in this city, this is a must.Good atmosphere, very clean and of course the meals are succulent.
Like the chicken a lot but noticed that the chicken size is getting smaller over the years... This one of the reasons why that I dont visit as often as before. if cost is higher increase the price
Very much similar to London branches, however no alcohol is sold in Mauritius store, plesantly compensated with tantalising mocktails...Service is great, especially the welcoming front desk lady who was warming and attentive 5* feeling...
The food is excellent. However the waiters are not properly trained and lacks the basics of customer attention. Also understaffed so one needs to be patient
Great flavours and great ambiance. Somewhat overpriced though.
Positives: • chilled atmosphere.• great food as expected.Negatives: • service was not really good.
Nice place, tasty food, acceptable prices, friendly staff.
15 mins minimum serving wait time on a slow day. Make sure to grab your fidelity card to accumulate points, even if you rarely visit. When ordering the quarter chicken, you may specify well cooked and which side you wish to eat blanc ou la cuisse. I recommend the blanc since youll receive more meat than bones (see picture)
Excellent all types of grilled chicken, drinks and coffee are served there, could eat in or also take out except for drinks that cannot take out. About 4 to 5 pm service is quite slow..
Nice food, nice atmosphere, good service. The main problem is its a little pricey, especially for local people.
